Leis that are handcrafted and authentic is worthwhile spending the extra dime. I've ordered leis twice and they were the classic color people get for graduations. First time I called I had a super hard time understanding the employee on the phone. Second time the employee was super sweet and answered my questions. Both leis and experiences were really seamless and didn't have any problems with my order. I went and picked up the leis a day in advance too. Inside you see one of their employees making leis at the table and there's options on the wall to choose from if your walking in. If you are ordering during a busy season, I recommend ordering it asap too. Would come back if I needed to go to any other graduations in the future! read more

They have been nothing but good for every event we've had. Been coming here for years for funerals, weddings and every other event/occasion. Can't recommend them enough. The last order was for my father's funeral and let me tell you that Foa put her all into this one and made send off a memorable one. The floral arrangement was above and beyond my expectations and I got what I paid for if not more. read more

If you want a LEI, best to call them to order in ADVANCE! Not to worry, they still have ready made orchid leis for to-go. They seem to have had the one PIKAKE multi strand lei waiting specially for us. The aunty there quoted us $40 for this beautiful and sweet pikake lei for the 80 year old recipent of this beauty. In the back, there was a memorial wreath in construction. Easy parking. They also have other ready made flower vases and displays ready to-go. Best to bring cash! read more

My Honey is getting his doctorate, and I needed to lei him. I was scrambling, knowing it was graduation season. Thankfully, I walked in one month to-the-day of graduation. They were able to do a money lei. While I was not happy paying $3 for every dollar used, I was more-than-pleased with the outcome. My Babe blew everyone else's lei out of the water! I reaaaaaaallllyyy didn't want to write this review... because i didn't want other people to discover my hidden gem but they deserve it!! I graduated from my X-ray program on June 15 and wanted a haku lei for my ceremony. My boyfriend and I stopped here May 27 and they were able to take our order (I saw their order slips pinned on the wall so maybe place your order 3-4 weeks in advance to be safe, especially during graduation season). I showed them photos of how I wanted it and they recreated it to a T! They start at $65 and for the flowers I wanted it was $75 and I couldn't be happier. I scheduled my pick for 11am June 14 and when you schedule your time they will literally have it ready exactly at that time. I showed up 30 min before my pickup time and they were making it fresh right then. Love that! read more

So very helpful when I was looking for a lei for my cousin's HS graduation. I ordered a double custom lei (purple and white) as well as a ribbon lei. They also had some candy leis and I got one that used Now N Laters. I had called to make sure they were open until 3pm on Saturdays as we were headed to Carson so I could place the order. Aunty Paula was the one who answered the phone. I needed to arrange an order pickup on a Saturday because they are closed on Sundays and the event I needed the lei for was on the following Monday. Aunty Paula assured me the orchids would still be good on Monday. I just had to keep them refrigerated. Lala was the one who helped me when I place the order in person. She was also very helpful. I placed the order and paid in full to pick up 2 weeks later.... Everyone seems to be family at the shop and honestly, it's what I expected. And I'm glad... Grateful for the aloha they showed me and I'm thrilled with the double orchid lei and ribbon lei that will go on my baby cousin. Hours are 10am-3pm. Monday through Saturday. They have leis ready made in the cooler if you need some that same day. Otherwise, you can order custom or special ones. I will definitely be back and I will let everyone know to go get their leis at Island Leis from here on out... Mahalos! read more

Ordered one week ahead of time: a ti leaf lei with some ends of the leaves sticking out (not full), closed style (like a circle), with orchids interspersed here and there. They told me which orchid colors I could choose from. It was ready at the scheduled time, fresh and beautiful, in a long clear plastic box. The place where the ends were fastened together was decorated with two small woven rosettes made out of ti leaf, a nice touch. Cost was $50 plus tax. Note: They told me that certain types of leis are only available at "graduation time," which is more like May or June, such as cigar flower, kukui nuts, shells, etc. But this ti-leaf-and-orchid type is available in January/February and an excellent option. read more

Island Leis saved my Father's Day spirit! My mom always made sure my dad had a lei to wear for Father's Day. She's passed now. And we still make sure our dad has a lei to wear to church every year. The day before I was so busy shopping I lost track and wasn't able to make that long distance trip to DTLA.(I'm a Long Beach native LA is a bit of a drive for me) I remembered Island Leis, made a phone call and was able to go into shop the next day before church started. The beautiful lady was the only one there it seemed and was so helpful and friendly. It was customer service in the most island way. Felt like I've known her for a long time. Made it back to my dad and he got to wear his double orchid lei for church and never took it off until it was time to sleep lol. Very grateful to have a place like this I can run to. Pricing was GREAT because I got it at a discounted rate. Double orchid for $25... i bought two! Still very grateful read more
