Makup I Purchased At Glendale Galleria
    Priscilla V.

To Whom It May Concern at MAC Cosmetics, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I recently received at your Arcadia, CA location (400 S Baldwin Avenue, Suite 352). As a long-time and loyal customer of MAC Cosmetics, I feel compelled to bring to your attention an experience that fell far below the standard of professionalism and customer service I have come to expect from your brand. Throughout the years, MAC Cosmetics has been synonymous with quality and excellence for me. I have visited MAC stores across different locations, including international ones like Paris and Mexico, and have always had positive experiences. Unfortunately, my recent encounter at the Arcadia store was disheartening. I had booked a 15-minute Holiday Glam appointment online and arrived at the store well before my scheduled time. However, from the moment I entered, I was met with an unwelcoming atmosphere. There was a lack of greeting, and I sensed an almost disdainful look from the staff, particularly the makeup artist assigned to my appointment. I understand the importance of respecting the time of makeup artists, and I appreciate their need to efficiently manage appointments. However, the attitude at this particular store was far from the professionalism I've encountered elsewhere. The makeup artist, without any warm greeting, quickly informed me that this was not a makeup session but merely a 15-minute courtesy appointment. I assured her that I was aware of the nature of the appointment but had expected a bit of the Holiday Glam touch, given the specific booking. Instead of addressing my concerns, she curtly suggested that the manager would explain the process to me. When the manager arrived, she politely inquired about the key features I wanted to focus on. I specified my preferences for skin and eyebrows, to which she agreed. However, the makeup artist continued the service with complete silence, not providing any information about the products or the process. It left me feeling uncomfortable and unappreciated as a customer. At one point, when the makeup artist left to showcase holiday promotional products, her demeanor suddenly changed to friendliness with another customer. I found this inconsistency in customer treatment troubling. In the end, I had to complete parts of the makeup application myself, using my own products, as there was a lack of communication and engagement from the makeup artist. Not a single word was exchanged during the process, and even as I left the store, there was no acknowledgment from either the makeup artist or the manager. This experience has left me questioning the commitment to customer service at this specific MAC Cosmetics location. I hope my feedback can contribute to improvements in the professionalism and customer engagement at the Arcadia store. As a loyal MAC customer, I took my business to the Glendale Galleria MAC Cosmetics store (2117) afterward, where I received the exceptional service I have come to expect from your brand. I urge you to address the issues at the Arcadia store to ensure that other customers do not have to endure a similar disappointing experience. Glendale is a great place to get your Mac Cosmetics. Thank you ladies for being wonderful.

I had such a terrible time there during my pickup for my online order. Such a terrible experience. I placed an order online for pick up. Upon arriving, I gave them my order number, they were two separate orders. She bought me one bag saying that it was actually returned and I have to re-purchase the all 4 of the items. She asked for my ID and my card and when she came back she told me that she gave me 10% off. I told her that when I placed the order it was for 30% off, she told me at least she gave me 10% off. I walked away frustrated, called their customer service and to confirm that my order were canceled. She confirm that one of my orders were actually delivered today at my home at 12:45 PM and the other one is still ready to be picked up. So I re-purchase four items on top of the ones I ordered online. I tried to return the items to the Mac where I am at and I was told that I could not return it because she gave me that lame 10% off discount. Had to drive to the original store again and explain this whole dilemma. I was so frustrated and lied to. I feel as though that she just wanted to get the sale, aren't I right? There was no need for me to purchase any products again plus 10% off and make my items non-returnable. This is despicable!

Recently was invited to an event by MAC to come and get first peek at the new M*A*C x Nikki Minaj line that came out. Wasn't certain on what to expect other than testing some of Nikki's Nudes.....but I left beyond pleased! We did have some wait time....not much (working with customers) ....but all the employees acknowledged us and as soon as they became available we're hands down AWESOME! Marissa got me set up with a few other gals and even came over to make sure I was flawless when I left! Walked out with Nikki's N*U*D*E and kept getting major compliments on my lips! Even went back to get the same shade for my coworker! Second major Event experienced at this store and it's always been GREAT service......positive ENERGY and I don't think I'll be going to another MAC store!

Nine months ago, I had an excellent review. Today is a different story. Last Friday I bought my…read morehair color that I've been purchasing from them 7-00and 8-00. The next morning I colored my hair for an event and when I opened the box for 7-00, it was half a tube of 6-00.Easy mistake. They have a hair salon next-door could've happened. I can see how it can happen. Not a big deal. What is a big deal is how Michelle, the buyer/manager treated me. When I first called her up, I asked to speak to the manager and she said the manager was not in and that she's the buyer she could help me. I told her the story, she said, you cannot return used hair color. I said, it's not a color I used. It's an incorrect color in the tube that I purchased. She said bring it in. I'll match the number with my inventory number and if it's there, I'll take care of you. I was a little frustrated and annoyed at that but I'm like OK. I couldn't go in until Tuesday. And she was not in. The person behind the counter (very nice ) took a picture of the product and my receipt and said she was sending the picture right then and a message. So I left. ***note*** it was at this time that I asked the person behind the counter if Michelle, was the buyer and the manager, and she said yes. *** I come back the next day, Thursday. So I call before heading in. Once again, I asked to speak to the manager and she wants to know who's calling. So, I asked to speak to the buyer, and she's ready to talk. Then, I tell her I'm the one who her associate sent the hair color box and my receipt. And it's frustrating because she acts like she has zero idea what this is about but then immediately says it did not match my inventory number. So that upset me. And I tell her, " that's not true" and she says well you only bought 800. And I said no, if you look at my receipt, it shows I bought two colors!! Now,I'm very frustrated because the finger is being pointed at me and I'm the customer!! I have been calling now three times to resolve this issue. And in her tone, she says how she's not trying to give me a hard time, and I said it seems like you are. And then she says come into the store. We're open from whatever to whatever and hangs up. I get to the store and she is there. I say are you Michelle the buyer, and she says yes. I said I'm the one who's trying to return the color. And she acts like she has no idea, again, about what I'm talking about. So, one more time I have to tell her the entire story. And she knows it. I know she knows. She's not dumb. She is the manager and the buyer. She's capable. She's just playing some kind of terrible game with a customer who's trying to resolve a $13 issue. And that is how I feel. And this is why I won't be returning to the store again and why I had her remove my points that I had and the ability to earn points. I deleted the app. I will never go to the store again because of her, Michelle, the manager, that she does not want to admit that she is. And the buyer She could not have been more rude to me if she tried! Her whole tone, her demeanor, her handling of the products, her body language, her look at me. It was just not a good thing to happen for a $13 product. Of which I had the box and the receipt for. And I brought in the other box that I purchased. And before I left, I raised my voice and I said you are so rude. You're not a nice person and she said I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry she kept saying that. I'm like you're not sorry, you could've handled this differently. You're rude. Your customer service is terrible. the whole time she kept saying, I'm sorry. And I left. As I was walking out, she yells FORGIVE AND FORGET. And I replied, I will forgive, but I'm never gonna forget. And sadly, I won't. And I liked the store. They had great product. There is another lady that was there, that was always very nice. But if a little mistake happens, their buyer/ manager is not the person to resolve that issue. She is horrible. I cannot say that enough.

Found a hair product that is NEVER sold at CVS and now that Rite Aid is closing down, they hardly have any products at all!! This hair product is good for adding color and more substance to an area of your head that you feel needs some help. There are different shades which is great. The price is reasonable and lasts quite a while. I walked around a little, and looked at similar products, but the price was higher. Since I had some time, I explored the store and found many beauty products. the prices seem reasonable. Some of the stuff looked a little old so I would recommend checking for the expiration date. Plenty of free parking in a large shared lot.

I have TMJ and this year had gone through 3 root canals because of cracked teeth due to the TMJ. I had exhausted all other normal course of action to remedy and relieve the TMJ but nothing was working and was spending a lot of money on my dental work. My dentist introduced me to the option of Botox (pricey and not covered) and it had helped a lot. I reached out to my medical insurance to see if this could be a covered treatment for my TMJ as it would be needed every 3 month in my jaw and they said yes with a prior authorization and if a medical doctor administered it. I was thrilled because all the other medications and dental appliances I had tried had failed and the Botox provided relief to my painful jaw and I had hope it would prevent further cracking of anymore more teeth and I wouldn't have to shell out $1,000+ every 3 months since it was not cosmetic related. I had reached out to some in network dermatologist and quickly found out that doctors did not want to help me or provide that service as in network or help me submit the PA which I now know is because they want people to pay the full cost of the Botox even if for medical reasons. Then I found Doctor Austin and she said she would help me but I needed to submit it on my own but would give me the codes and information I needed but due to the extensive extra work on their end I would need to do it which was totally fine. She and was in network but I was grateful, I told her my troubles in finding an in network doctor willing to help me. We agreed that I would pay cash up front and I would submit my bill to my insurance because she was weary my insurance would not reimburse her but with my PA approved I was not worried. My insurance company informed me it was odd that she did not bill them for the service directly since the PA was approved but either way the Botox for my jaw was fully approved and she had a contracted rate per unit with my insurance. Before paying, the Doctor mentioned to me that she had many patients come in with PA and were not successful in getting reimbursed which I thought was an odd comment to make since I had all the proper documents and asked if I would send her a copy of the PA. I paid $1,125 for 80 units so $14 a unit on a credit card and was not charged a 3% processing fee. She sent me a super bill and worked with me a few times on the revision that my insurance needed so she knew I was billing my insurance. My insurance also had been sending her copies of everything (again they were treating her like a regular in network provider despite me paying cash upfront like an out of network provider) A few months later after I get the EOB from my insurance company which stated they would be reimbursing me $404.48, my portion that I owed was $101.12 but then it stated amount saved for using an in network provider was $619.40. I called my insurance to ask what that amount was and was told that amount is owed to me from the Doctor since she is in network, that is the contracted rate she agreed to for the service she gave you and they advised me to contact her for a refund. I was thrilled as I was going to save even more after spending thousands on my teeth and even more on prior Botox at dental offices and now this will be covered under my insurance plan, this is when things got ugly. After leaving a voicemail at the main doctor's office I get a call from the Doctors billing department from a woman who is irate (gave no name). She told me the following: the Doctor is terminating our patient/doctor relationship due to my insurance low bill rates, the Doctor had no idea I was going to bill my insurance, the doctor should have made me sign something prohibiting me from going to my insurance, now that I have gone to my insurance the doctor is taking a loss on this service. I assume most in network patients who the doctor has helped with PA previously probably get the check from their insurance providers thinking that is all they are owed and never go back to Dr Austin for the remaining balance and I was the first one to do it and she was upset that I did (again I assume because my experience with in network doctors is they were unwilling to help me with medical Botox). Unfortunately, I did not receive cosmetic Botox and the Doctor is an in-network provider and is obligated to bill rates assigned by the insurance company and in return she gets patient referrals. She then goes to process a refund to my method of payment on my credit card that I paid off 3 months ago for $600.82 with a receipt she charged me showing a 3% credit card processing of $18.50! She never charged me that when I paid for the services the first time and nothing in my patient paperwork stated paying with a credit card comes with a fee. It was very petty and felt almost personal.
