This location is smaller than your typical department store MAC Cosmetics. It is located on the 2nd floor, right by the escalator. I prefer to come here during the weekday when it isn't busy. The MAC artists are more likely be more attentive to what you're looking for. If you come on a busy day, forget it. If you want to get in and out of the store quickly, write down what you need on a Post-It (not your cellphone) and hand it to the sales girl. Did anyone say bad customer service? Today i visited this counter and had to wait as someone who arrived after me was helped before me. I told the employee "fyi i was here before her" and he just smiled and said "ok", absolutely rude. I asked another employee for the lipstick i wanted, Faux, and she had no idea what i was talking about and then joked with the other employee that she pronounces it differently. So not only do they have rude employees, they have employess who arent knowledgeable with boyh the make up they are selling and with basic pronunciation. What a joke. Why do some "MAC EMPLOYEES" think they're better than everyone else? SMH I came in with 6 empty containers and asked for a free lipstick and the girl working there was extremely rude, my daughter went up to her bc we had been standing around for over 5mins and she walked by us and didn't acknowledge us. My daughter said "hi" she didn't even bother to look at her she continue to look at the register, my daughter told her she had the containers and wanted to get a lipstick she asked my daughter rudely "ok which one do u want" still not looking at my daughter at all came over to where I was standing, I gave her the lipstick I wanted she snatched it out my hands at this point I started getting mad. She finally got the lipstick, we walked up to the register and in a rude way she told us we weren't able to return the lipstick as she scribbled on both the barcodes. She didn't give us a bag so I asked for one and she just slapped it on the counter . I dont understand how ppl like this have a job, how?? I'm so upset! Was she rude because we didn't spend money? Horrible, by far the worst MAC counter I have visited. I definitely will not be going back. The 'ARTISTS" sales reps are rude, seemed to be unaware of they're cosmetics and have the longest wait time. Which the crazy part is that they don't take their time with guest, they just take long doing things. It's almost like they're miserable working there period. They are very unpleasant to speak to, very misinformed of their products. This counter is a complete shame to the brand. The only thing these reps know how to do is a smokey eye. I was totally stunned on how a major makeup line would hire such a unprofessional staff to accommodate clients of they're major brand. The entire time I was standing around waiting for someone to assist me I was wondering if they had some sort of management or if MAC was even involved with the progress of they're counters. I did not purchase a single item from this counter due to the extremely rude sales associate, I actually walked away go visit a different branch. The short version: dishonest, rude, incompetent, unkind. I had one good experience here picking out an eyeshadow, so I had my guard down when I went shopping for a liquid eyeliner pen. Aristotle aggressively tried to sell me on their new mineral foundation, even though I was holding a Clinique bag with their foundation for rosacea that I had bought five minutes earlier. He insisted that this product was perfect for me, that it was matte and specially formulated for sensitive oily skin like mine. At this point, I demurred and said, "if you can show me how to apply a winged eyeliner, I will just buy some right now." Then he solemnly swore up-and-down that there was a makeup class up where they would teach eye makeup application. All I had to do was buy their new mineral makeup. It was a giant clump of bald-faced lies. I was way too trusting. So after I paid a sitter to attend this makeup class, and paid for the foundation, the class was a total bust. It started 40 minutes late ( remember I paid to be there). It was just a basic, all-over application class. They were not teaching liquid liner. I raised my hand and asked for help. Aristotle said to the class " yeah, she REALLY wants that eyeliner," like it was a joke at my expense. At the end of the class, there were not even take-home samples. At the end, they brought in the cashiers and asked the class to give them a big round of applause before they lined us up like cattle and aggressively pushed more products on us. Then I was allowed the honor of paying for this magic foundation, which burned my skin and went on super-shiny. They refused to give me a refund. The manager, when I tried to tell her how Aristole had essentially scammed me for the commission, just shrugged. Do MAC employees get tenure, like college professors? Can they only get fired if they pull a Full Cosby on a customer? Because I pass Aristotle whenever I visit that Macy's. read more

This location is a hit and miss with customer service. Often times they run out of product. Today I was helped right away by the man with light colored eyes. He was friendly. Now the other employee the woman with the Gremlin eyebrows never helps me and never smiles. I've seen her on more than one occasion and I get no help from her. Worst experience so far, I stood there trying to figure out a shade for myself and not once did the "makeup" advisor come up to me to offer her help. This review is for customer service, not the products. I am seriously done coming to this location. This location is closest to me, but I would rather drive out to the next town instead of dealing with the workers here. Of all the times I have come to this location the only friendly person was the Persian/Armenian girl with the dark hair. But almost every time I come I see the African American guy with the bright blue eyes and the lashes who is super rude and seems to look down on me when I ask about the products. Seriously you work at a Mac counter, get over yourself. Today I was "helped" (term is used very loosely here) by the African American woman with the perfect eyebrows. I asked about the difference between two foundations and she barely acknowledged me. Any other make up counter at Macy's would have jumped at the chance to help a guest. And been much more friendly. I wanted to try them both but she looked so annoyed for some reason. PLEASE hire new people or do an EXTREME retraining of current staff. Then when I asked if I could pay in another counter, she replied rudely, "No, you are going to pay here. Let me help her first". Then she took a long time asking the customer and telling her about the product. She could have said it in a nice way since she is letting me wait longer. That's the least she could do. So I went in to get my make-up done, worst mistake ever. I rather go to actual make-up artist who just uses MAC Cosmetics vs these sales people. The lack of knowledge is disturbing you can not give everyone the smokey eye look and think your an artist. An artist is suppose to look at your face and have a vision, your face should be a clean canvas and with all these beautiful pigmented cosmetics you should be able to as creative as can be. I waited to be assisted for about 10 to 15 minutes and when I was finally asked if I needed help the sales associate made the worst face, when I said I came in to get my makeup done. Clearly I should have gotten the point, but instead continued to allow her to seat me in the chair. When she done I looked in the mirror and was super upset. I still made a big purchase that day, but washed my face as soon as I got home. I will not judge the cosmetic line due to their sales associates, but I was extremely upset with the outcome. I will continue to buy MAC products just never get anything done at this particular location not even purchases. I usually go to an actual MAC store not one located in a Macy's, but since I am a Burbank resident it was more of a connivence. Never again. read more

Usually I'm intimidated to come up to the MAC Counter but today exceeded my expectations! I wanted to be matched with a new foundation and Ray Garcia wasted no time at all to help me. He was so sweet and genuinely cared to help my foundation situation. Wish he was at the Mac counter all year round! Went by the MAC counter in Burbank last week to pick up a gift for my girlfriend on Valentine's day. I have to say it was a pretty cool experience because Erika made me feel welcomed for being a guy at a make up store. As I walked through the mall, I didn't really get acknowledged by the other counters. But she was really cool and helpful... I'll definitely have my girlfriend go back and see her in the future. Natasha has made me feel beautiful again. As I have been aging, I have found that putting on dramatic eye make up styles have become rather challenging at best. However, Natasha took the time to teach me how to work with different make up brushes. She helped me choose colors that worked to bringout my eyes and not my wrinkles. The surprise pink magenta lipstick stay on color she choose was just the right change I didn't know that I needed. I worried that it maybe too bright. Natasha asked for a second opinion from another Mac makeup who loved the color. I liked that she comfortable enough to ask for a second opinion. As I walked out the store I could tell that the lipstick livened up my face and made me feel younger. The compliments and seconds looks added a smile to my face. It was like an actual SNL skit where the service was so bad I almost considered if I was on a hidden camera show. The two women "working" were doing each others makeup. Once I finally did get their attention they said, "well be with you when were ready for you." All i wanted was my lipstick and to be out. I didn't even want to browse. I ended up leaving because they weren't going to help me. I came back another week just to see if it was a fluke. This time there was no one to be found. I waited by the counter and walked around the shoe department for 25 minutes and still no one at the counter so I left. If I want MAC products I wont be coming here. read more

I never give reviews for any place but I am writing one because I had the most unpleasant experience at this MAC location. I don't remember the name of the beauty consultant but she was working on 09/28/2017 at 8pm, so take a look at the schedule(for management). I already knew what I wanted to purchase so I took the item I wanted and stood in front of the cash register while making eye contact with the consultant. She was helping a lady and continued to ignored for at least 5 minutes. After making eye contact again, told me to wait that she would be with me in few seconds. So I waited for another 5 minutes while she talked to the lady and showed her stuff. I was getting irritated because I had been waiting for more than ten minutes and she kept ignoring the fact that I just wanted to pay and leave. I was in a rush to get to my dads birthday and while picking up his present decided to purchase what I needed, which I thought, wouldn't take longer than 5 minutes. I saw a couple of people arrive at the counter and the consultant helped them fast just to get back with the lady she was helping. I politely asked her if she could ring me up. She rolled her eyes at me and said she would be with me in a second which was like 3-5 minutes, once again. I wanted to leave the item and just get the hell out but I never have the chance to get out of work when the mall is open and was out of the item I was purchasing. So I waited because I thought it couldn't take much longer. Then the consultant has the audacity to come to the register with the lady she was helping and was going to start ringing her up. But I stood still at the counter and didn't move to let the lady pay before me, because again, I had been waiting. Then the consultant asked the lady if she minded if i payed first. That made me so upset that I told her "yes, i been waiting here for a while!" She explained that she was the only person working the counter but I told her, " I understand but all i want to do is pay!" I wasn't asking her for help with anything. She needs to learn to multitask. I don't know how MAC employees are trained but this is a shame. I felt like I was begging her to take my money and she wouldn't. She could of told the lady and that would be back in a minute and ring me up. I usually spend a lot of money at this location but not anymore. From now on ,I rather go to the MAC in the Glendale mall. The employees there are super friendly and great at multitasking. read more

WOW!!! I had a red carpet movie premiere that I wanted to get my makeup done for and look FABULOUS! I read other reviews on here and saw everyone raving about Aristotle so I decided to book my appt with him and give it a try. He was PHENOMENAL! A true makeup artist! I told him I wanted to look natural & not caked on but still look good on camera and he knew exactly what to do. He gave me the prettiest brown smoky eye that made my eyes pop and a dark wine color lip which looked great with my dress. Not only that but he was so patient and was really taking his time to make sure it was perfect. Even better the makeup lasted all day and I didn't have to do any touch ups. I absolutely loved how it came out and I got so many compliments that night. Seriously if you have an event coming up or just want to get your makeup done for a day book with Aristotle you won't be disappointed. I will def be going back to him from now on! I came in today because the eyeliner I just bought was completely dried out! I didn't have my receipt or box as this has never happened. I called the store and spoke to Charik Aloyan, she couldn't have been nicer. She wasn't sure what could be done as I had no receipt but asked me to bring it by and if nothing else maybe they would be able to fix it. I came into the store, Charik listened to everything I told her, called additional Macy managers and when she was told they couldn't find my purchase she asked 'isn't there anything else we could do for her?' , ladies and gentlemen this is A+ customer service!!! I believe because she pressed the other manager they found my purchase and we were able to exchange my eyeliner for another.
