I want to give a huge thank you to Nonira and My at the Glendale Sephora for truly saving my birthday photoshoot. My experience started off stressful because another manager had changed my makeup appointment timing multiple times and then tried to cancel the appointment when I arrived late. The reason I was late was because I had to rearrange another appointment last minute after Sephora had already moved my makeup appointment the day before. Once the situation was escalated to My, everything turned around. She handled the situation with professionalism and kindness and made sure I was still taken care of. She arranged for Nonira to step in and do my makeup, which I'm so grateful for. Nonira did an amazing job. She listened carefully to the look I wanted and created a beautiful, polished makeup look that photographed perfectly for my birthday shoot. Her attention to detail and artistry were fantastic, and she made me feel comfortable and confident. This Sephora is very busy and a little too crowded for me. I was looking for a few items which they were out of. I went in specifically to see an eye shadow palette they advertised on TV which looked nothing like it in real life. Bummer:( I also found a few eye shadow sticks by Sephora which they did not have in stock. A lot of the products were in the wrong color slots. I came in today excited to purchase some Glow Recipe products I've been eyeing online, although it was too crowded for me to find 1/3 of my items, I enjoyed my visit and purchase. On my way out I decided to check out some foundations. Tyler was extremely helpful helping me find my shade. She went above and beyond recommending a different brand than I was looking for and of course she sold me on her recommended brand (Ciele). I was able to discover a much needed new foundation brand and SPF primer. I was a bit overwhelmed with how crowded it was, but the employees made sure my visit was a success. read more

I had a really frustrating experience at Sephora in Glendale at the Americana. When I first walked in, an employee greeted me and told me that Saie was running a promotion--if I bought 3 products, I would receive a gift box with goodies. That definitely influenced my purchase. I ended up buying three Saie items with the help of another employee from the brand team and Liz, who was honestly amazing. She was kind, helpful, and the only bright spot in this whole experience. After paying, I went to the front to ask where I could pick up the promotional gift. The employee at the entrance (a man who had switched in) immediately told me, "They left." No explanation, no effort to help--just dismissive. I tried to clarify since I had just been told minutes before that I qualified for the promotion, but he kept repeating the same thing and started questioning my friend about where I went, which felt unnecessary and a bit pushy. Eventually, another employee (red hair) came over and handed me... a scrunchie and what looked like a Saie pin. That was it. No "gift box," no explanation--just two random items that clearly didn't match what was promised. The whole situation felt misleading and poorly handled. If the promotion was no longer available, that should have been communicated before I made my purchase--not after. The lack of professionalism and consistency between employees was really disappointing. Aside from Liz, who was great, this experience left a bad impression. Personally, I am not a fan of writing negative reviews, but Sephora's staff can do better and today's incident needs to be addressed. I am a long-time customer of Sephora but am extremely disappointed in the manner I was treated today in-store. Unfortunately, I will never purchase from Sephora again. I am currently pregnant and went to the Americana with my 6-lb toy maltipoo to go on a stroll as it is known to be dog-friendly. I stepped into Sephora, and unfortunately, my pup had an accident and went #2 on the floor near the door. Immediately, I took a poopie bag out and cleaned it up, along with any skid marks. To take extra measure, I took a tissue and wet it with water to clean any remnants. While I was cleaning, an employee by the name of "Yessenia" came over and in a very rude manner said, "water isn't enough," you need to "disinfect it," which I can understand. She told me stay where I was, because someone was bringing wet tissue. Yessenia was standing beside me while I was crouched down on the floor, pointing at where I need to clean, "here, there and there." She was pointing at places where my dog didn't even poo. Soon after, another employee, apparently the "assistant manager," who goes by "Howard," came over and also started pointing at random places. Mind you, Howard wasn't even present when my dog went #2, so he has absolutely zero knowledge of where I should be cleaning. Yet, he said, "you also need to clean here." When I looked, it was a piece of crumb, not my dog's poo. Both of them started pointing at random shoe skid marks to the point they were asking me to clean random parts of their floor. I am not their janitor, and the above is clearly not how Sephora and its staff should be treating their customers. I then went to the front and asked the cashier to speak with a manager. It turns out, the "management" on the floor, or "team leaders," were both Howard and Yessenia, which was even more disappointing. Customer service trickles down from above, so it's a shame that the "leaders" of the store are not the best role models. The worst part is, when I asked to speak with Howard, he did not bother to apologize, but went on to gaslight me into thinking that nothing happened. In fact, he was confused as to why I had an issue with the encounter. Just as he said, everybody is "entitled to their own perspective," and to be fair, Howard is as well. But, he failed the customer service standard of Sephora. To be clear, I am not upset at the staff asking me to clean my dog's poo, literally, which I believe any responsible dog owner should do. I am disappointed at the delivery and tone of their message - I felt humiliated, belittled, bullied, and treated with disdain just because my pup had an accident. My pup having to go #2 was not intentional; Howard and Yessenia could have handled this situation with kindness and grace. read more

My experience at this location was great. Typically I wouldn't shop at Sephora however I had tons of holiday shopping to do. Although I had a full shopping list I had absolutely no clue where any of the items were. Luckily Sarah C was able to help show me around and assisted me with my holiday shopping. The management and keep here is atrocious and draining . I went to get samples because I have very dehydrated skin now . I was wrongly given super matte Mac products that look like cake . The sales associate has bullied me into buying and had handed me a cart I didn't want . I www very upset I understand Sephora is a business they shouldn't bully clients . Also I had my eyebrows done by "FAITH" colorful hair rainbow shirt hair light eyebrows wears dark pants she completely destroyed and thinned out my eyebrows when I asked her to be very careful. I still ended up giving her 30 percent tip . I have Sephora PTSD. They need better management in an established customer here and I don't free load of freebie smalls . Terrible experience at this store and with the Manager Yesenia. I am a Sephora Rouge member, I spend a pretty penny at Sephora yearly & I hardly ever return anything. I came in here to make a return. I bought the product December 27th with my Rogue points so the product was only $6. The color did not work well with me so I came in here to return in. Yesenia said she couldn't make an exception for the return dude to it being about 15-17 days past the 30 day return policy. I know the manager can make the exception of returning the item because many of my girlfriends and sisters have been past the 30 day return policy. I tried it on once, it didn't workout. I haven't had time to return it. Well.. She refused to return it. What a way to treat your Rogue members. I wanted to buy my daughters a Valentine's Day gifts for today but after this experience I didn't purchase anything nor will I be shopping at Sephora anymore. I will be taking my business to Nordstrom or Ulta. I was already in the fence on spending my money here but this experience made it to much easier to leave Sephora. My wife wanted to stop by this Sephora inside Americana after we ate brunch across the street at Glendale mall. They were really busy but it's because it's a Sunday and close to Christmas. My wife wanted to take advantage of their deal because yesterday was the last day for it. There are staff throughout the store and ready to help you if you have any questions. While my wife was shopping, I went to check out their cologne for men. It's toward the back of the store and there not much walking room over there. Visited the Sephora at The Americana at Brand on 5/1/25 to check out what's new in store and to claim my free birthday gift. I went to peruse the fragrance section and was immediately greeted by Maria. She was very personable and beyond phenomenal in providing new recommendations and layering combinations. She informed me of special promotions they were running without being pushy and was readily available for any questions I had. It really did feel like she had my best interests in mind as she did her best to get make my visit enjoyable while also assisting several other customers. I asked her for a concealer color match, a foundation color match, the best loose powder, the best lip color for me and help with finding the right perfume for my friend. Carlos is the best! He help me to find foundation shade for my skin and introduce me to a Rose inc foundation that I really really love now. I came in to get my skin IQ thing and he explained more about my skin and concerns! Carlos saw how the shade that was recommended by the IQ result is not the perfect match for me and he recommended another similar shade and boy, he's just the expert on that! His pick fits more on my skin rather than the IQ results! I'm not a foundation wearer either and I used to care less about foundation but I know basic stuff on that (primer first, brush vs. Beauty blender, etc). I also have combo dry oil skin and my skin is just loving it. First of all, I have read reviews that some primer won't blend well and Carlos also told me that primer isn't necessary. Yes it's a medium coverage, and I prefer that than full coverage because it gives your natural look but flawless ;) He also gave me some recommendations on other skincare brands that I'm not familiar with but fits my skin needs. He also answered my questions about differences between brands that I have been watching. I have never invested a $54 worth of foundation before but I appreciate Carlos to help me find what fits my skin and it has clean ingredients too! read more

They recently remodeled and the space looks much nicer. I especially love their beauty chairs and services they offer. It's very clear what is offered and the prices. I usually don't get too much of customer service when I walk in because it is EXTREMELY packed and all the employees are occupied and it's hard to get a hold of someone. I recently walked in and was pleasantly surprised by the customer service from one of the makeup artists. She was so lovely and explained the differences in the services they offer. This has always been the Sephora I go to. There's always someone to help you and the store is the perfect size! I'm really writing to review Faith D. I signed myself up for a full face of makeup and they were AMAZING. I wanted bold, bright, and dramatic for a very eccentric event. Sephora doesn't have much in the way of bright colors but Faith D. worked their magic! They were fun to work with, had a wonderfully light hand, and was incredibly creative with the limited colors. I left feeling bright and ready and pretty with exactly what I wanted. I got so many compliments throughout the evening! I cannot recommend them enough! read more

I am giving you exactly 0 stars!!! A few months ago I visited your Sephora @ THE AMERICANA.. My first time ever, in ANY Sephora. I went to get my makeup done for my anniversary with my boyfriend. A beautiful young girl named Samantha did my makeup and it looked nice in the store... in your lighting. She told me that I would get 25% off of everything that I purchased today and I should take advantage of that, Because anything I purchase I can use for up to 90 days even if I use all of it and return it for a full refund. I told her that sounds ridiculous... nobody does a 90 day return and she assured me that it is true!! It is a 90 day refund policy. When I got home, Is in my own lighting, all I saw was massive wrinkles and a very cakey face that looked shiny. Soon after I went to return all of the products and the girl told me I should actually try and keep some of them and "try them For a little longer".. So I did that.. My skin just apparently does not resonate with your products... I barely even used any of them As you can see in this picture + I have been unhappy ever since. I had the products sitting in a bag And kind of forgot about them for a while.. I went to return them today, and was told not only by the representative at the counter, But also by the STORE MANAGER That the policy is only up to 60 days. I know what I heard from Samantha and I even reiterated what she said at the time, and she ASSURED ME it was a 90 DAY REFUND POLICY!!! I begged the store manager to please just make an exception since I received very wrong information, but she would not budge! I am entirely appaled that your store has representatives such as this!! I have never in my life spent $350 on any kind of makeup before but thought I would take a chance for my anniversary with my boyfriend. This Sephora always has artists and representatives from different brands at their store to either launch a new release or a brand event. Today two men (older looking men in their 50s or older) stared at me as soon as I entered the store. I knew they worked there because they were wearing belt bags with brushes makeup artists usually wear. The first white haired man quickly ran to the other man with white gray long hair as he was fixing his hair in the mirror and they looked towards me and proceed to talk about me in front of me. I literally was in shock. How professional Sephora. Do all your associates and sponsors and brand representatives whisper and talk and stare and point like teenage girls about all your customers or was I the exception? I stayed near the front to make sure they were not customers or just loitering and they CONTINUED to stop and stare and talk in my direction. I wanted to go up to both of them so bad to confront them but my inner voice told me just say calm and report them. Went to the fragrance section and asked to speak to a manager Stephanie who handled the situation as poorly as those two men. She told me those were not actually associates but brand ambassadors from SAIE BEAUTY. So SEPHORA you are allowing this childish unprofessional behavior to take place in the open on your floor? SAIE BEAUTY you should be ashamed of yourself, Sephora your days are limited Ulta Beauty is 1000 times better, and Americana Sephora you were a mess of a store. Disappointed to the point that I will no longer shop with this company ever again. Those two men from SAIE BEAUTY take off your belt bags and approach me next time you see me. We can handle whatever issues you both seem to have on the floor. You both are a poor excuse for makeup artists . There are actually so many more talented, refined, classy and highly trained artists to handle people from all walks of life that you two unprofessionals could never. Unfortunately I booked a 90 minute service at Sephora Americana Glendale for Christmas Eve December 24 the makeup artist could not create the look I showed . I also don't like the lack of sponges for after application and there mascara wands are cheap they don't use expensive mascara wounds which can heavily impact the look of your makeup . Mac has different variety of mascara wands every beauty establishment should . I'm usually a 45 minute client with successful results but i was heavily bullied into 90 minutes because i said its festive $$$more money of course because i told her it was for Christmas . First of all I've went to many makeup artists im no stranger to the game of being a client I've had my makeup done over 35 times in my life . Each time I went to a professional they also use a special lighting with heavy mirrors set with heavy lighting to see every little microscopic jar which is crucial for good strikes Sephora lighting is very bad and Sephora doesn't have that there lighting is dimmed on purpose !! and a lot of highly trained fast makeup artist can do and create a very nice versatile dramatic look with one or two feature focus in under 60 minutes they have to it's about working fast I don't need 90 minutes !This is a strategy to overcharge clients honestly . And there not productive nor creative nor accommodating to the coients in those 90 minutes There colors were totally off from what I literally showed them and also my picture was a normal picture not an artificially intelligent photo or photo shopped I don't expect miracles I just expect the best version of myself with the art of makeup . The makeup artist took more time prepping her table then prepping my face . The associate she was with Fatima has a very horrendous I know it all attitude. She was literally interloping in our conversations singing loud when no one was talking to her being loud crude and everyone gave her a weird side look . I felt very u comfortable being around Fatima like I was being bullied into changing a look that was very realistic because it was look created on my by another artist . Im a very practical person and easy going I don't have insane expectations from. Makeup artist but however u feel Sephora in America's there makeup squad is very far from adequate especially considering the price your paying when Im sitting there paying I'm sorry but I call the shots on how I want my makeup to loook because I've done it before I know the products I've requests them all before I'm not being a karen i consider myself more a frequent flyer . I ended up sitting through it and I hated my makeup look and it compromised my mood as well . Getting makeup done is a luxury and a financial compromise with costly rates a client should always feel better and more confident will from a client should always feel satisfied From Now on I will go to MAC or a private artist they honestly have the best artists and they work fast and really have a wide broad spectrum of colors and great foundations for makeup looks . And there reasonable so I feel Sephora bullies you to pay 90 dollars and plus your bullied to make a TIP . They also treat you very bad if you dare challenge there expertise Or dare challenge there products . There god like talent very thing counts I was so dissatisfied the whole experience . sorry not sorry . They didn't have anything I wanted she made my makeup so slopppy I've literally had such ugly makeup . I just was so embarrassed for having such a horrific event . Please if you take your makeup look seriously or want to do your makeup for a wedding special event forget it do not go this Sephora all they care about is money . Also another huge complaint I have is there lack of recording clients love to record themselves get there makeup done because it's imperative to know what products are used and how they are used . I have been going to Sephora for over 15 years and have never done a Yelp review but doing a review to send kudos and compliments to Justin in Sephora (Americana in Glendale). I walked in and had questions about eye cream and in the market for a new brand of foundation. Over the years, the service I have received in any Sephora location were just ok. But not today - Justin exemplified the ideal employee - one who is passionate about their job (it shows), patient, informed about their products and happy to educate, and lastly, a great listener. I have a Sephora within 5 miles from me but gradually the customer service has declined. I now shop online because I used to like to come in for I learn a lot about new products and get to try and have my questions answered. I am a pretty tough customer when it comes to my fragrances because I literally have all the most popular of my taste in cologne and it's all listed in their computer system. I believe the employee's name was Itzett however she pulled out the YSL "Y" (the newest YSL cologne) and I immediately smelled it and HAD TO HAVE IT! Then I asked her to help my 10 year old daughter and she liked Mon Paris by YSL.
