Dr.Kim Austin is so nice , personable and was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. She was recommended by my normal dermatologist to help me get a mole off my face that came back after it was scraped at my dermatologist showing it was deeply embedded. I was very nervous and self-conscious about a mole that I wanted removed off my face and she explained all of my options. The office is very nice and clean and there's plenty of free parking as well. She is a very unethical doctor that is only concerned about how much money she can make and my experience has proven that. I have TMJ and this year had gone through 3 root canals because of cracked teeth due to the TMJ. I had exhausted all other normal course of action to remedy and relieve the TMJ but nothing was working and was spending a lot of money on my dental work. My dentist introduced me to the option of Botox (pricey and not covered) and it had helped a lot. I reached out to my medical insurance to see if this could be a covered treatment for my TMJ as it would be needed every 3 month in my jaw and they said yes with a prior authorization and if a medical doctor administered it. I was thrilled because all the other medications and dental appliances I had tried had failed and the Botox provided relief to my painful jaw and I had hope it would prevent further cracking of anymore more teeth and I wouldn't have to shell out $1,000+ every 3 months since it was not cosmetic related. I had reached out to some in network dermatologist and quickly found out that doctors did not want to help me or provide that service as in network or help me submit the PA which I now know is because they want people to pay the full cost of the Botox even if for medical reasons. Then I found Doctor Austin and she said she would help me but I needed to submit it on my own but would give me the codes and information I needed but due to the extensive extra work on their end I would need to do it which was totally fine. She and was in network but I was grateful, I told her my troubles in finding an in network doctor willing to help me. We agreed that I would pay cash up front and I would submit my bill to my insurance because she was weary my insurance would not reimburse her but with my PA approved I was not worried. My insurance company informed me it was odd that she did not bill them for the service directly since the PA was approved but either way the Botox for my jaw was fully approved and she had a contracted rate per unit with my insurance. Before paying, the Doctor mentioned to me that she had many patients come in with PA and were not successful in getting reimbursed which I thought was an odd comment to make since I had all the proper documents and asked if I would send her a copy of the PA. I paid $1,125 for 80 units so $14 a unit on a credit card and was not charged a 3% processing fee. She sent me a super bill and worked with me a few times on the revision that my insurance needed so she knew I was billing my insurance. My insurance also had been sending her copies of everything (again they were treating her like a regular in network provider despite me paying cash upfront like an out of network provider) A few months later after I get the EOB from my insurance company which stated they would be reimbursing me $404.48, my portion that I owed was $101.12 but then it stated amount saved for using an in network provider was $619.40. I called my insurance to ask what that amount was and was told that amount is owed to me from the Doctor since she is in network, that is the contracted rate she agreed to for the service she gave you and they advised me to contact her for a refund. I was thrilled as I was going to save even more after spending thousands on my teeth and even more on prior Botox at dental offices and now this will be covered under my insurance plan, this is when things got ugly. After leaving a voicemail at the main doctor's office I get a call from the Doctors billing department from a woman who is irate (gave no name). She told me the following: the Doctor is terminating our patient/doctor relationship due to my insurance low bill rates, the Doctor had no idea I was going to bill my insurance, the doctor should have made me sign something prohibiting me from going to my insurance, now that I have gone to my insurance the doctor is taking a loss on this service. I assume most in network patients who the doctor has helped with PA previously probably get the check from their insurance providers thinking that is all they are owed and never go back to Dr Austin for the remaining balance and I was the first one to do it and she was upset that I did (again I assume because my experience with in network doctors is they were unwilling to help me with medical Botox). Unfortunately, I did not receive cosmetic Botox and the Doctor is an in-network provider and is obligated to bill rates assigned by the insurance company and in return she gets patient referrals. She then goes to process a refund to my method of payment on my credit card that I paid off 3 months ago for $600.82 with a receipt she charged me showing a 3% credit card processing of $18.50! She never charged me that when I paid for the services the first time and nothing in my patient paperwork stated paying with a credit card comes with a fee. I have been seeing Dr. Austin since August of 2022. Knowing she was double board certified in ENT and plastic surgery, I originally went to her due to breathing problems, poor sleep due to potential sleep apnea due to my breathing problems, and severe congestion, sinus tension, and allergy headaches. After exhausting treatments, she eventually diagnosed me with severe deviated septum via imaging, and suggested a septoplasty. The surgery took place in July of 2023, and it has been a life changer since. Breathing problems went away, I no longer get severe congestion, and my allergy headache and congestions have been fairly minimal. I have also utilized her other services (ear cleaning, light therapy for cherry angiomas). I have been incredibly satisfied with all her services so far. She's been extremely caring, attentive, and supportive through every step of the way. Nayiri, her medical assistant, has also always been incredibly nice and helpful, too. She is super responsive via e-mail when I have an inquiry, and always wanting to accomodate when a schedule in conflict occurs. read more

I would like to start by providing the pros, 1, I'm not ganna sit here and lie, I am pretty happy with my results all in all. 2, Her medical assistant is lovely and professional. 3, I had some issues with my procedure (you take that risk with any procedure, I understand) They went above and beyond to help me out a lot, so for that I respect the Dr. a lot but..... Some things rubbed me the wrong way and are the reason I won't be spending money there again in my life. For a service I had scheduled, I had to cancel because of a family emergency, she seemed to understand like a regular human being at first and was polite saying I hope your family is fine, etc. BUT the next time I visited for pre op, she brought it up again that I canceled, grew some attitude, grew some bass in her voice out of nowhere and said that she demands respect, and that if I cancelled again, she would cancel me as a patient because she would miss out on money, time, etc. (I was shocked at the time but I really wanted to yell at her "HELLO Do you understand that I had a family emergency? You're acting like I just canceled out of the blue, why are you scolding me as if I did this on purpose?" Not professional at all, red flag). Secondly, she was nice enough in general, but I just didn't get the vibe that she was a super skilled surgeon. I went to her because she was offering a certain niche procedure, and it was hard to find other people that would do it. But for other services, as someone else in the comments mentioned, they got kind of a botched half @ssed chin liposuction, and I totally believe that happened to them. I feel as if clients are spending money they should get the most out of a service, which it seems some people barely got any results based on some reviews. To summarize, at the end of the day, I am happy with my results, I am happy how they treated me when a complication occurred (even though they lied and said they took a sample of my skin bacteria to a lab to find out what kind of bacteria it was, which I knew all along that they never did, so why even lie about that to my face? It was kind of funny actually). But would I trust her for more invasive procedures? No I rather pay more but get maximum results and a more professional attitude. read more

I was referred to Dr. Austin due to my sinus problems. I had not met her previously, but during the appointment, I felt that my responses were being rushed. She interrupted me several times to clarify her questions, saying things like "I'm not talking about that. I asked you about this," and "I did not ask you about that, I asked you about this." This approach felt abrupt. She entered with a recorder and asked if she could record our conversation. I hesitated but agreed. This made me feel somewhat uneasy. The appointment felt rushed, with questions asked in quick succession, and my answers redirected if they did not specifically address her question. She examined me and concluded that nothing was wrong with my sinuses, which differs from my own experience. In 1 minutes she disregarded a lifetime of suffering due to sinus problem, poor sleep for years due to clogged nostril at night or one of my nostril closing up, vertigo when I lay down-breathing problems, congestion and unable to breath in one nostril, headaches and breathing problems. When I mentioned that these symptoms got worst after my rhinoplasty she interrupted me with "those are all cosmetics not medical problems" then started firing off her questions. Since she has specific questions and cuts me if I talk about something else other than answer her directly I didn't get to explain all my problems. I cant think well when I'm being rushed. She was abrupt and polite in a cold aloof way that made me feel very uncomfortable.I have never met her before, so I don't know why she seemed annoyed with me. I got the impression she couldn't wait to leave and it made me want to get out of there as well. On the other hand she addressed my hearing issue which is good. Her medical assistant was nice. Dr. Austin exemplifies what a doctor should be. My experience has been excellent. Her assistant Inbar is kind and professional, and Dr. Austin is a miracle worker. Quick backstory. I had a mass growing under my right eye for approximately 10 years. It was misdiagnosed several times with one failed attempt to remove it. Dr. Austin was the first doctor that did not quickly assume what the problem was. She took her time studied and examined my face and figured out what my problem was. She then explained her plan to remove it. On surgery day she explained it to me again. Then spent 3 1/2 hours removing this complicated mass. My scar is virtually invisible! Dr. Austin is the real deal. No ego, direct, and very talented. I'm so glad I found her and you will be too. read more

I posted a review online, they said "Unfortunately we can't verify that she was a patient at this office." what a lie! Dr Austin removed a tumor from my moms ear. She never gave my mom pain pills or antibiotics telling my mom to just take some Tylenol. My mom had to go to urgent care to get her antibiotics. Then when my mom was having an allergic reaction to the ear drops that had steroids Dr Austin gave my mom steroids internally when she knew she was allergic. Didn't even care. My mom was sick for 3 months because of the steroids. What kind of Dr cares for her geriatric patients like this? Don't go to this Dr if your over 60 years old. Seriously. She doesn't pay attention to medications taken by her patient. Hopefully she learns from her mistakes. read more

Dr. Austin and Inbar are amazing! I'm so glad I found them for my beauty needs. I just finished my third Morpheus 8 treatment at their office and I've seen such a significant improvement in my skin texture, tone, and firmness. When I first visited Dr. Austin, I expressed that I didn't want anything too dramatic or unnatural. The Doctor has been great with recommending things that are not invasive and promoting natural skin healing like the Morpheus 8. She never tries to push fillers and other treatments and is very respectful about the boundaries I have with my skincare. I hate it when doctors try to push things you literally say you don't want! On that note, she's a freakin PRO with Botox (yes I know, but there's no natural cure for these frownies). I've always been very careful of who is injecting things in my face and have never stepped into a medispa for Botox. My old dermatologist would do my Botox but I never really got the results I wanted. After seeing Dr. Austin and her work when she did my Botox, I was in awe. She's a surgeon. She knows so much about the anatomy of the head and she got exactly the results I wanted. She approaches things from such a different perspective because she is highly experienced. Oh and she's an ENT so she got all my wax buildup out of my ears and shows genuine interest in my ear problems that I didn't even think to mention to her. She's personable, she has a great bedside manner and she's very relatable. You can joke with her and it's almost like talking to an old friend (who is methodically and skillfully puncturing your face). Making appointments is so easy, Inbar is great with email and calls back quickly. There's no hassle or wait during appointments and the office is new and clean. They follow covid protocol and I feel safe in the lobby and exam room. The Doctor and Inbar seem to have good chemistry and work well as a team. I always love doctors who treat their staff well. I kinda just want to go to lunch with them and have some drinks or something, they're both so fun and hilarious. In terms of the Morpheus 8, I'll say that it's made a world of difference in my sun damaged acne scarred face. People comment how great my skin looks. My jaw line and the hollows under my eyes have improved significantly and will continue to do so for the next few months as new collagen forms. I'm not gonna lie, the treatment isn't the most comfortable but it's bearable with the numbing cream. Certain areas like my forehead and stuff are painless where other areas might hurt. They do a great job numbing you up though and they make conversation and the whole thing goes pretty quickly. It also depends on what time of month you go for it, skip the monthly time, ladies. I've never had any complications or adverse effects from the Botox or the Morpheus and she's always encouraged me to call if I have questions before I leave each appointment. So there you have it... I'm so happy I found Dr. Austin. It's great to support a new doctor and business in town and I encourage anyone to at least go meet her and have a consultation. read more

I went to see Dr. Austin as I was having problems breathing at night. She tried some medications and nothing worked so last resort was surgery for a deviated septum. She was so knowledgeable and understanding that I decided I wanted to fix the look of my nose. I didn't really tell her what I wanted just to make it straight and fit my face. I am blown away by the results. I can breathe and my nose is perfectly straight. It's only been a month since surgery and I love my results. I booked an appt based on a recommendation from my doctor in early December 2021. The doctor's first available was Jan. 26, 2022. I took it despite it being 7 weeks away. I got a call 2 days before my appointment saying, "the doctor is no longer seeing patients in person, you will be doing a Zoom with the doctor." I explained that this wasn't going to work because I needed her to inspect my nose because I believe I have a deviated septum. I was then told "it's either Zoom, or the next appointment is mid-June, your choice!" No apologies. Nothing. I'm not waiting 7 months for an appointment with any doctor. This was handled very poorly. Dr. Austin has been amazing to work with, and I will return to her for any facial plastic needs I have in the future. My nose was broken in two places, my septum deviated, and skin torn in an accident in December 2020. After being released from the hospital, I needed to get in see a facial plastic surgeon quickly. Dr. Austin was busy, but made time on her schedule sooner than she had available because the need was urgent. I was super nervous about how my nose was going to look after healing from the accident. Dr. Austin walked me through my options, explained what I could expect before, during, and after the procedure. It has now been four months since the accident, and I only have a minor scar that is quickly fading because of the skin treatment recommended after surgery. I always feel respected, and never feel rushed when meeting with her for follow ups. Due to my own life circumstances there have been times when I've needed to reschedule on short notice. After a trip to Hawaii and lots of swimming, my left ear was completely clogged for a couple days. No matter what I did and what I tried I couldn't get it to clear up. I will never go back to Dr. Grace Kim Austin. My son had surgery and she never called him for a post-op check up. Furthermore, a year after his surgery we keep getting bills that we have already paid for. The doctor sends bills over and over again even though we have paid. Staff and doctor were very friendly, but I had a horrible experience getting my under eye tear trough fillers. First off, I was recommended two syringes multiple times which cost $700 each ($1400 total). After injecting one full syringe and a quarter of the second, I was told it's enough! I forced another quarter syringe just to get my money's worth and now they are uneven. Afterwards I bruised and swelled for over a month. I'm still bruised and it doesn't seem to get better. From many many friends and family I have asked, their bruising lasting a week at most, if at all. It may be my skin, but I must be the rarest and most special case (what are the chances?) I also have lumping under one of my eyes which the doc said wouldn't go away for many months until filler goes away. Overall, don't recommend getting this filler. Complete regret. read more

I had wax in my ears (big time) - after a few years of no treatment due to bad experiences with (mostly male) ear doctors who were not caring at all doing what they did!
