We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Glendale Surgical for my daughter's wisdom teeth removal. Because of timing, we had to do the consult and surgery on the same day, which initially made me really nervous. But Beeta was wonderful about answering all of my questions and concerns. She was patient, reassuring, and responsive, and really helped put us at ease.  We met Dr. Urata for the consultation, and he was so patient and personable as I asked all my questions. He was very knowledgeable and confident, and I immediately felt like my daughter was in good hands. Her teeth were extremely impacted, especially the upper ones, and we honestly weren't sure if all four could be removed. But Dr. Urata was able to remove all four quickly and without complications. The whole procedure was much quicker than I expected, and before we knew it, it was done.   It has now been over two weeks since the surgery, and her recovery has been incredibly smooth. She has healed very well, and the follow-up care was excellent. Beeta even personally called me the next day to check on her, see how she was feeling, and to make sure we didn't have any questions or concerns. That extra personal touch meant so much to me. Everyone at the office was kind and caring from beginning to end. We are so glad we chose Glendale Surgical and are incredibly grateful to Dr. Urata, Beeta, and the entire team for taking such great care of my daughter. read more

I just had a surgery implant and I have to say doctor Dr. Mark Urata was amazing. He was very patient may sure was numb and comfortable before surgery. I felt very little pain and the best part he was done within 30 minutes. I also like that after surgery they show an X-ray Showing the placement of the implant which Dr.Mark was right on point. This is a letter of complaint for the scheduling at Glendale Surgical Associates. For my son's wisdom teeth extraction, I called to confirm his appointment, insurance, and time on Thursday, 6/15. At that time, I was told the time of the surgery would be Monday 6/19 from 10 am to 12 pm - consult and surgery. I wrote that time down along with my notes from the conversation about what would happen that day. My son spoke to a representative on Friday and also confirmed the 10 am appointment. He said the person he spoke to tried to switch the time to 8 am, but he told them it needed to be at 10 am. Specifically, they said, "would you like to still come in at 10, or would you like to come in at 8", to which he said "I'd like to come in at 10 am." His girlfriend was in the car with him when he received this call to witness this interaction. On Monday morning 6/19 at 8:07 am, he got a call saying we were late to the appointment and needed to be there in 10 minutes. We are in Granada Hills and there's no way we could get to Glendale at that time. Upon hearing this, the receptionist canceled the appointment and said the next available date was July 31. When I called back to see if there was anything that could be done, the receptionist insisted that she spoke with my son personally confirming the appointment at 8 am; he stated he did speak to her, and the appointment was at 10 am. I think the lack of a follow up email and automated call reminder is the challenge here. I would blame the receptionist (who was condescending about the situation and was even talking over me as I was trying to ask questions), but I feel there is a process breakdown here. The whole situation was a negative one. Both my son and I took time off of work for this appointment, and there was a complete lack of sympathy for this situation. If we had received some sort of compassion from the staff, since at the end of the day, my son is in pain, then the situation would have been a little more bearable, and I would not have felt compelled to write this letter. But I feel I need to help other families so they don't experience this issue. At the end of the day, there are other surgical centers who will take my son, so I immediately called another one and made an appointment for next week. read more

I was recommended here by my primary dentist as I needed to have my four wisdom teeth pulled, my dentist recommended two other offices before this location but both were 6-8 weeks out. So I tried my luck with this place, I called to make an appointment and it went through some other office because this location was closed for a few days. I was told I'd receive a call in a week max confirming my appointment and insurance coverage...my appointment was set for three weeks out so I figured okay. I had to call them the Friday before my surgery (they're closed weekends) to confirm my appointment for the following Monday and to ask about the portion my insurance would cover...the lady I spoke to seemed irritated and said something along the lines of "I haven't gotten to my Monday appointments I'll call you when I get there" okay....she calls a couple of hours later and then tells me that my surgery is going to be treated as if I don't have coverage since we don't know how much they'll cover blah blah blah. That Monday morning I handed them $2100 in cash and have since waited for any kind of communication from them, I finally called them today 10/18/21 almost a month after my surgery and almost three weeks after my insurance sent them a check for $1807. The first receptionist I spoke with confirmed that the check was mailed out recently and for the amount of $1600ish which was weird considering I paid for everything out of pocket. She said she would have someone give me a call back in a bit, what I got was a woman by the name vial or something along those lines who was VERY CONDESCENDING, you know the type the kind who are rude while being "nice and profesional" in the end I wish I would've gone with the first two places my dentist recommended. Glad it's over with and I won't need to come back to this shady location. read more

I had a painful and unusual case of tori, which required surgery. My dentist referred me to his preferred doctor to perform the procedure. That doctor wouldn't do it, because it was too complicated and risky with potentially dangerous side effects. I met with an Oral Medicine & Pathology specialist, who examined me for an hour. He said Dr. Urata was the surgeon I needed for a procedure this delicate. He was right! Dr. Urata did an amazing job, eliminating my problem with none of the dangerous side effects that I had been warned about. He is former head of Maxio-facial surgery at USC, yet is modest, funny and reassuring. There's a real dearth of options on the East Side and Dr. Y is a real find! His office staff is friendly and efficient and his pricing is very fair. She does her job very well and answered all my questions. Because of her, I scheduled my consultation with Dr. Hammoudeh. Dr. Hammoudeh was very thorough in making sure I understood the process, complications, etc. He addressed any concerns I had before and after my extraction. My husband had major jaw surgery here - jaw broken in 5 places then realigned to correct an underbite and breathing issues. The team here is AMAZING. Dr Hammoudeh's skill is out of this world and he's so patient with any and all questions before and after surgery. My son needed 4 wisdom teeth and 1 extra tooth pulled. We consulted with another oral surgeon and he wanted to do two separate surgeries, pulling the 4 wisdom teeth one time and the 1 extra tooth in a separate surgery. This would entail my son going under twice. I have reservations about my son going under too many times so I looked for a second opinion. I consulted with Glendale Surgical Associates, which was recommended by my general dentist. I am so happy I did. Dr. Hammoudeh carried out the surgery just once, pulling all 5 teeth. It was an efficient and quick procedure and his bedside manners were excellent. Dr. Hammoudeh is highly knowledgeable and experienced. I felt comfortable putting my son in his hands for the surgery. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Every person was warm, friendly and welcoming. COVID-19 protocols were easy to follow and made you feel safe. From front desk to doctors in surgery the entire staff is just great and fun. I feel so lucky to have found this place! I called the office early morning to schedule an appointment for my 2 wisdom teeth extraction and their receptionist was so accommodating & friendly. She scheduled me right away on the same day knowing that my other tooth was aching. When I came to the office, the receptionist was nice & friendly. After few minutes, I met the doctor's assistant and assisted me to the room. She was very compassionate and kind throughout the whole procedure! Then the doctor came in... Dr. Hammoudeh is the best oral surgeon I've ever met my whole life. He asked me about my concerns & problems and from there he was patient enough to explain me all the pros and cons, what to expect, and all about the procedure when extracting a wisdom tooth. Before the procedure, my anxiety level was 100% and I was feeling nervous and shaking but Dr. Hammoudeh made me feel calm and reassured me that everything will be okay. During the procedure, he was continuously reassuring me that everything looked just fine and good, that way my anxiety level went down from 100% to 0%. And after few minutes, the procedure was finally done! No appointment was necessary and they assisted me as soon as I arrived. My initial appointment was with the office in Arcadia. Everyone there was also very friendly and professional.
