Earlier this year, I was dealing with severe wisdom tooth pain. I started calling around to different dental offices just trying to find someone who would take my insurance and see me quickly. That's how I found New Look Dental, they were the only office that not only confirmed they accepted my insurance, but also told me to come in right away since I was in pain. All the other offices were giving me 2-4 week later appointments, which would've been fine I weren't in pain. That alone already set them apart. Dr. Lusine saw me that same day, took X-rays, and found that the tooth was infected and needed surgical removal. They referred me to a specialist for the extraction, got the authorization submitted quickly, and within a few days, I had my wisdom teeth removed under anesthesia. The whole process was fast and handled professionally. But the real standout experience for me came afterward, when I returned to New Look Dental to begin treatment for my 18 cavities, and was placed under the care of Dr. Annik. I've seen several dentists in my life, but Dr. Annik is by far the most precise and focused I've ever worked with. From the first appointment, she explained everything clearly and laid out a step-by-step plan to address the cavities in sections. I had five appointments in total with her, and each one was smooth, efficient, and, most importantly, painless. She works with incredible attention to detail. Every step, from numbing to drilling to shaping the filling, was done with care. Nothing ever felt rushed. She took the time to ensure each tooth felt and looked right. She would double-check my bite and make fine adjustments to make sure everything was aligned naturally. By the time we finished, I could genuinely feel the difference. My teeth not only looked better, they felt better. I could chew evenly on both sides again without any sensitivity or discomfort. It was the kind of result that speaks to someone who takes real pride in their work. I also appreciated how calm and focused she is throughout the entire process. I tend to feel uneasy in the dental chair, but she worked with such steady confidence that it made the experience a lot easier for me. No stress, no surprises, just excellent dental care from someone who clearly knows what they're doing. It was a 25 minute wait with an appointment. Getting X-rays done was super painful more than it should've been, but the dental assistant was super nice and kind about it. The hygienist was very rude not only to me but the way she spoke to the other dental assistants was very belittling. I got the routine question of if I've been flossing and she answers saying "that's... sad" in a spiteful way. Like not only is she rude to me but her staff too?? Dr. Kirakosian is honestly my favorite doctor ever. I'm not the easiest client but she knows how to put me at ease and make each visit easy and fun!! She's honestly a superstar as well as the rest of her staff!!! I had to get quite a few cavities filled little by little so I had to go see them pretty often and each visit was so nice and pleasant. They're all such a nice group of people and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had a good time. I wouldn't recommend this dentist, as I had several bad experiences. The root issue seemed to be the receptionist, Anna, who messed up scheduling multiple times, contradicted things she told me (i.e. that confirming the appointment online was fine - and why would it not be? - and then later claiming that my appointment had been cancelled, despite this confirmation). Instead of acknowledging her mistakes and apologizing, she acted as though I was to blame as a patient. I had an appointment this morning, and her rudeness was the last straw. I was about 15 minutes early. Anna claimed that I had changed my phone number and they could not reach me to confirm the appointment (I have had the same number since well before my first visit here). I told her that my phone number remained the same, and reiterated that I had confirmed online. She said that they had booked another patient in my spot, and the tone was just...unwelcoming at best, hostile at worst. They still saw me begrudgingly, as though I was being done a great favor. She later tried to get me to come behind her desk to show me that I wasn't in her list of appointments for the day to prove...what? There was no sense of her taking responsibility for the error, and no apology. I let her know that I would be finding another dentist because of the rudeness, and because such things had happened too many times. I wish I had seen a review like this before going to this place. My hope is that this will help the next person make a more informed decision. read more
