I almost don't want to post about how great this office is because it'll make it harder to get an appointment, but this place is the best of the best. Everyone hates going to the dentist, but the vibe here is so welcoming, and the staff is so absurdly nice and good at their jobs, it makes an unpleasant visit as pleasant as possible. I've been going for years and there has never been one experience that wasn't top notch. Dr. Fine is personable, nice and conversational, and always checks up on you on a personal level every time you come in. The dental hygienists are efficient and kind. Vicki is fantastic and makes the time fly by. I cannot recommend this place enough. I sincerely can't imagine there is a better dental office in all of LA. read more

I was referred to Dr Fine by a very dear friend of mine. A lot of people like and trust her. I had high hopes because they have you fill out forms in advance where you can explain past dental trauma if you've had it. (I have.) This led me to believe that information would be taken into consideration. I loved the hygienist, and the office manager is great, too. Dr Fine came in and and started remarking about my teeth one by one as she examined them, and when it was all said & done she wanted to start with deep plane scaling and cleaning in 2 major sessions, and then basically make over most of my mouth with crowns and implants, as if my mouth is/was a complete disaster! One concern I had was a single dark fine vertical line I had developed on of each of my 2 front teeth, (possibly a superficial crack?) and she only offered veneers as a solution, but then said there was no way she would do them until I did a full course with Invisalign. I spent 6+ years of my youth in full upper and lower braces, double headgear, and after the bands, double retainers. I even had 4 extractions to accommodate the correction. My teeth are quite nice. It did not take long to realize this was not my dentist! I have since found a dentist who is amazing, has her own practice in Encino, is on the more conservative side, but can & will do anything you need. She's very skilled. She does not upsell. She said my mouth looks great, and whatever I'm doing, to keep it up. She also did bonding on my front teeth, which was easy, painless, affordable & looks beautiful! The lines are gone and the work looks so natural! She also takes my dental insurance, which Dr Fine does not. read more

My long time local dentist retired and my husbands Periodontist recommended we call Dr. Rachel Fine in Glendale. It was good advice.  My immediate issue was I needed a tooth pulled. My last dentist didn't do extractions so that, and the pandemic helped me put it off for 2 years. Dr. Fine does extractions. It was painless and quick and over and out before I knew it. She put in a couple stiches which dissolved in a week. I felt no pain throughout the procedure thanks to her incredible technique and expertise. She prescribed me antibiotics and it healed up just fine. Since then I have had a cavity worked on and 2 crowns placed on 2 teeth. I also had a tooth elongation for the first time. I have endured a ton of dental work in my lifetime but never a tooth elongation. It was a very complex tedious procedure that took 3 visits and made it possible for me to keep my tooth!  Again, there was never any pain with Dr. Fine. The numbing needle doesn't even hurt, no joke, she is the best dentist I have ever seen. The staff is very professional, thorough, understanding and good at what they do. I saw 2 different hygienists who were both excellent.  Reception and Billing is on the ball and compassionate and sometimes that's everything. This is definitely the right Doctor/Dentst/Healer and definitely the right place. read more

TLDR: GO HERE, DO NOT GO TO THE CHEAPER DENTIST, EVEN IF U HAVE TO WAIT, EVEN IF THEY ARE CLOSER. IT DOESNT GET BETTER THAN DR FINE BECAUSE SHES THE BEST! Do you have anxiety? Like massive anxiety? You'll be better here at Dr. Fines office than ever before. They gave me a blanket, held my hand, and patiently waited until my high tolerance finally took the local. Every time I went they showed me genuine love, care, and patience. I never felt like she was seeing multiple people at once, it felt personal and I found comfort in this. I even got a couple Christmas cards handwritten from Dr Fine herself with personal notes to me. Long Review- I went to Dr. Fine for a few years while I lived in LA and she was the BEST dentist ever. She listens to you, explains everything in detail, and keeps a calm atmosphere at the office so that your anxiety goes right away. The first time I went in to see her I had serious mouth pain and hadnt been to a dentist in a VERY long time. I had a lot of work that needed doing, but I have severe anxiety of the dentist and have never wanted to go. When I got there it was easy parking, super nice staff, and the office is super clean. After having my xrays done we realized I needed some serious work (my fault since I havent done my annual appointments for some time now). Dr Fine not only explained EVERYTHING in detail, but she did it in a way that made total and complete sense without freaking me out. Over the next 6 months or so we tackled our list, filling all my cavities, doing a crown, and even a deep cleaning. After the work was done, everything felt better than ever before. I could finally have ice cream without letting it melt first, and I could chew with confidence. Then I moved. I went to a different dentist, in a different town, and it was awful. I wanted to find someone who was close to me and could work with my insurance and my budget, but that was a HUGE mistake. The dentist messed up my teeth more than she fixed them and the office was located in a tiny room that was filthy. The dentist precharged me for my work, then took several months to complete basic fillings without telling me it would be several visits. She saw 3-4 people at once and would get mad at me if the local wasnt working. She'd leave me in the room for 30-40 minutes while she worked on other people - a true nightmare. So here I am, outside the other dentist, teeth hurting, nothing fixed, and months wasted. I just saw another girl around 30 just run out crying and Im terrified to ever go back. I just called Dr Fine and booked a literal plane ticket just to see her. Im asking for her to look over everything and let me know if anything needs to be redone. I wasted $1000 trying to see the cheaper dentist that was closeby when I shouldve booked a plane ticket to Dr Fine in the first place. Dont make my mistake, only go to Dr Fine. Its impossible to find a better dentist, because shes the best. read more

Dr. Fine suggested I do a crown on a tooth that was 'fractured'. Even after a year, it felt sensitive. I was talking to a friend who works at a dental office about this persistent sensitivity for a year and she asked me "Was the crown sent out to be made or made in the office?" I told her that it was done on one visit so made in the office. She said that in house made crowns have higher chance of complications and persistent sensitivity. I showed the x rays and photos of my teeth from Dr Fine's exam to another dentist for a second opinion and he couldn't see the fracture she was talking about. A year and a half later (2 weeks ago), while eating a mousse cake (very soft and nothing hard), the entire crown broke off (my girlfriend who was sitting by me heard the loud crack as I was chewing and was terrified), exposing the entire pulp of the tooth. This happened on my first day of a 2 week vacation to Europe. You can imagine the distress this put on me. read more

She is an expert, both conservative and reasoned in her medical decisions. She is careful and gentle. Her staff is beyond lovely. I just had my first visit today and what a breath of fresh air the staff is. Everyone was kind and gracious, from the hygienist (Vicki) who explained each procedure with clarity to Dr. Fine, who was thorough and addressed all my needs and questions. No issue was too minor for her to tackle, including a chipped tooth I had been wanting to fix. Dr. Fine has a wonderful collegial manner, making me feel like she's in my corner. Everyone at the front desk takes the time to explain what future visits will be like, what the approval process from the insurance company will look like, and what the care plan is. These folks are caring and extremely competent. Even before I arrived, Dr.Fine's office had a more efficient approach. I filled out all the necessary forms online before my visit, so there was no paperwork to hassle with when I arrived. Very 21st century. read more

Parking: There is parking in the back of this building, I've never ran into issues with parking. Make an appointment months in advance if this is your first time. They book up quickly. First Visit: I came here because I wanted to see a new dentist closer to where I live. First time seeing Dr. Fine, she realized I had a lot of anxiety at the dentist due to my past experiences. She made my first visit very comfortable. The first time you go, they do a 1 hr long assessment (x-rays, checking the gums, review any issues). Dr Fine analyzed everything and told me all the issues I may be facing with my current conditions, which I knew previously. I also had a teeth cleaning at the 1st visit which was aside from the 1-hr assessment. Crown: I had an issue with the tooth in the back and I've known this for a very long time. I came in to get that tooth assessed, I may have needed a root canal, but it was unknown. Dr. Fine said she'll be able to tell after she removes the old filling. The tooth turned out fine and only needed a crown. I absolutely love this place because they were able to print out the crown immediately (well when I say immediately, I mean within your 2 hr visit). I had 1 crown before that was made with the molds, and that crown is NO bueno. The fit from the 3D print is really impressive, it fit really well. I highly recommend Dr. Fine and her staff. read more

My family has been going to see Dr. Rachel for years, and it is always an amazing experience! The whole staff is extremely friendly and wonderful to talk to. I am EXTREMELY afraid of all dental procedures but the staff always go out of their way to listen to my concerns and accommodate me. The polishing process during a teeth cleaning is terrifying for me. Now when I get my teeth cleaned they let me skip the polishing process, and only preform the essential exam/scaling/flossing. At first impression, this doctor, the staff, they all seem "nice" and act like they care. But when you really need it most, this office is the last place you should ever go! They care about one thing, and your well-being is not it. Don't be fooled by their Keurig coffee makers and fancy lip balm. If you are looking for an honest doctor and staff who will tell you the truth about what you need and communicate it clearly and genuinely, and work with you, by all means, look elsewhere! When these people look at you they see just another hour closer to paying back their student loans. It's a pretentious place with the foundation of putting on an "elaborate" show. When it comes to dental work, they will charge you on the HIGHEST end of the spectrum (consider yourself warned). They are not flexible with scheduling either. These people will con you and take every penny you have without a flinch. It's not about caring for the patient anymore, it's about making them think you do until an obstacle comes up. I don't have an ill-will for this office and doctor, I have moved on and found a better, more honest professionals. I only wish that one day when you REALLY, REALLY need care the most, you get treated EXACTLY the same way you treated me. read more

Dr Fine was one of my worst experiences yet with a dentist. I waited months for an appointment, which I was OK to do with all the great reviews. First they required a long health history questionnaire for things completely irrelevant to dental health. They took my blood pressure. The hygienist was nice enough and competent, I thought. She said I didn't have very much plaque and then asked if I'd considered getting my teeth cleaned more often. Dr. Fine picked at my fillings for so long, I thought they were going to come out. My teeth ached for a week after the cleaning and exam. They use some combination of peroxide, mouthwash etc as part of their COVID protocol and my tongue felt weird for the rest of the day. I didn't appreciate the references to "my age". Apparently my teeth must have worsened in a hurry as my last dental visit was six months ago -- she found so much work to be done! read more

Dr. Fine and her staff are exceptional. I have less than perfect teeth but I am always relaxed when I come in because I'm in such good hands. Dr.Fine and Caitlin take great care of me no matter what I am getting done. Crown or filling, I know it's going to be alright with Dr. Fine on the job. She also goes out of her way to check up on patients after significant procedures. Additionally, the reception staff are gems, working hard to get me in when I have an urgent need. Let's see.... I've been a patient of Dr. DeLawter's since 2001. If that's not a testament to good dentistry then I don't know what is... I was referred to his office by my boss and I'm very glad she sent me his way. Many of my co-workers and their families also have Dr. DeLawter as their dentist. That, in itself, should tell you they have a good thing going. Dr. DeLawter always tell you what you need to know, as far as the health of your teeth are concerned and I've always felt very much at ease under his care. I looked through so many dentists on Google and finally decided on Dr. Fine because her office looked by far the cleanest and nicest in the area. My appointment started about 5 mins before the scheduled time which was also great. Since I was a new patient I had to do x-rays and everything too, which can take a while so the 2-hour appointment took about 1.5 hours. I have to start by saying that this is the best dentist office I've ever been a patient of. Dr. Fine and her staff are all super friendly, incredibly professional, and always make you feel completely taken care of. Now, seeing as how we're still in the middle of a pandemic, I was a little nervous about my first time returning to the dentist office. Turns out I had nothing to worry about. All the proper precautions were in place -- from having to call when you're outside so they can tell you when to come up, plexiglass shields in the waiting/payment area, multiple layers of masks and face shields -- at no point did I feel uncomfortable. Amazing staff - attentive, informative and very kind. I came to Dr. Fine after years of avoiding the dentist. The hygienist (Tena) was thorough and patient while cleaning my teeth to be sure I wasn't in any pain or over sensitive to the tools. They have state of the art technology so I stayed seated for X-rays, etc. They are also doing an incredible job due to Covid19 - I waited in my car instead of the waiting room, and was sent a text when they were ready for me. I've been going to Rachel Fine for 2 years now and most recently today. I was reluctant to see her and the staff amid this Covid crisis, but I'm glad and relieved that I did. They took so many safety precautions from having me wait in the parking lot vs. lobby, to wearing face masks and face shields, air purifiers everywhere, temperature checks before entry, plastic shield surrounding the front desk, hand sanitizers, and clean versus dirty pens for signing receipts, I'm sure I missed a few other details. The point is... Dr. Fines' office is clearly making every possible effort to make patients feel safe. I love Dr. Fine! I first must say, I have currently have a lot of teeth problems and always have. I get insane anxiety going to the dentist because it is always very painful or uncomfortable for me. NOT with Dr. Fine! This practice is such a rare gem. All the women at the front desk are so lovely and kind. It's rare that you find such a genuine establishment any more. Dr. Fine has TRUE compassion for people. She's so positive even when I come in feeling like my mouth is basically a dumpster fire, she always has good news to make me feel better. I feel so blessed that this office takes my insurence. They have state of the art equipment and will work with you and prioritize what your teeth need most. This was My third visit to see Dr Fine and I've had nothing but positive experiences at her office. The staff and hygienists are so friendly and also very efficient. I've had a fake tooth made to replace a pulled root canal and it fit perfectly. Also, I am fighting cancer and the Dr was very knowledgeable about the meds and treatments I might undergo and how we should proceed with my dental work safely. Okay so where do I start. I have so many good things to say about this place and I don't even know how to put the words together. First off let me tell you very professional clean place. When it comes down to taking care of your teeth you gotta make sure it's out of clean place. Besides the place being clean she is a true professional I was terrified by my last dentist.. Here's the kicker about Rachel. Very down-to-earth real person. A very loving mother. Sometimes she might hesitate her great work on a client that she might think is uncomfortable on the chair I just read that because I'm in sales. But that only comes from somebody was a genuine who really wants to do a good job. She's not your normal dentist she knows what she's doing. Today she worked on my two front teeth yes the best part about my beautiful smile. I wanted her to take care of it during our consultation and cleaning but she mentioned that it was my front two teeth and she wanted to take some time to take care of it right. Let me tell you I left there pain free. She did such an amazing job it's not even believable. I had a very bad cavity on my front two teeth top two teeth by the way. And when I smiled you were starting to see a brown don't in the middle. I was really concerned picking a good dentist. I ran into a buddy of mine from way back in high-school but all he does is root canal specialties and I wanted somebody who is good at cosmetics and root canals themselves. So I'm confident that Rachel will be able to take care of my root canal as she said she would and I'm also looking forward to going back here as I still can't believe how good my teeth look after she was done pain-free couple hours later I'm up at beat at work making it happen.. She's a genuine soul no questions it took me a couple seconds to sit next to her along with numerous other dentists and there's nothing comparable to this woman she is Alpha woman number one and number two she knows fix teeth!!! I mention to her that I don't do pain medication or anything like that... Sitting here a couple hours later . I'm perfectly Fine . The two front teeth are the hardest areas to inject with numbness and tranquilizer. She has a very light hand. She lets her fingers do the magic while her wrist settles the weight that's a true dentist... Way to go Rachel you're awesome keep being an amazing mother read more

After getting the run around for the past few years with my previous dentist I finally gave up and decided to search for a new one and I couldn't have done so at a better time. A few days after setting an appointment I chipped one of my back teeth. I immediately contacted Dr. Fines office and they not only squeezed me in right away they referred me to a specialist that took care of me within two days. It feels so good to have dentist that actually cares about you and fixing a patients problems instead of dragging out the issues. Thank you and your amazing staff. I love my dentist and the office staff here. She's amazing and really caring. I came here after I had a chip tooth. She has to do a build up of a crown and I also had to get a partial crown. It helps that she's extremely patient because unfortunately, I have a very small mouth so for long procedures, I feel bad for the dentist. Not only, that her whole staff hygienist, assistant, etc are AMAZING. They listen to all of your concern and help each other out. I can't wait to go to my next dentist appointment! The only thing is that they are working on their access issues since it's monday - thursday, so for the working population with normal schedule, it's extremely hard to get in for an appointment at time. All the reviews are 100% true...Dr. Fine is a true gem!! Day before Christmas Eve my front tooth chipped...I was visiting LA for the holidays and called my daughter's dentist (away) and just about all I could find on YELP with good reviews. All dentists seemed to be away until 1/6...but then Dr. Fine herself called me personally and offered to meet me at her office after their holiday luncheon that afternoon. She bonded my tooth and enabled me to have a lovely holiday and not look tragic, haha! I really REALLY liked her and have recommended her for my toddler granddaughter's dental care as well b/c she has both a gentle manner and top-notch skills (and is a mom of young children as well).
