In the three different dentist office I've been in the last decade, this place is by far my favorite. The doctors are "gym bros who dentist," but they know what they're doing and they're both extremely personable and friendly. Scheduling with Broadway Dental is a paradise come true, they tell you you're scheduled at a certain time, they expect you to be there at a certain time, I expect to be seen at a certain time and there's absolutely almost no waiting. They take you to a room where you're seen rather fast and they don't waste time by keeping you in the room while they finish up on someone else. There's two of them, Dr. John Dang and Dr. Jimmy Dang, brothers and they tag team patients effortlessly (from experience). I had a rather long procedure today and they both came in and out to finish the job, probably giving the other some rest. The local anesthetic that they applied were just the right amount, I had felt no pain during my root canal and my crown procedures. The Doctors impressed me, but so did their dentistry tools. They had all these cool gadgets that I've never seen at other dentist shops around town, they had a panorama x-ray view of your teeth, they had a 3D scanner that they used to inspect the crowning that they were doing, and I kid you not, during the procedure they put a "mouth tarp" on me so nothing falls into the back of my throat while they were drilling away. They also had this cool suction thing that protected them from you biting on their finger, whilst spraying a bit of water and suctioning some away (albeit my mouth was pretty sore from keeping them open for some hours, the Drs. Gave me a breaks but I'm sure they needed breaks too). Overall extremely impressed by the entire staff, the clean facilities, and overall professionalism of this place! read more

I have used Broadway Dental for a couple years now. I had a toothache over the weekend, on Monday I called and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. From the time I arrived and checked in and taken to get X rays took less than five minutes. Five minutes after that I was already in the exam room. Edit to respond to the comment: Your receptionist clearly indicated, that you WILL NOT release my scans multiple times in a VERY rude manner. The dentist at the other office was next to me, and your receptionist was on the loud speaker. They suggested me to write you an email and ask to provide your refusal in writing. Which I did. Yeah...you don't pressure into the service- you didn't hold me hostage, that's correct. You just bring all the documents right away to sign and start the work asap. I am so very happy I didn't. And yes, you told me that you CAN'T save the tooth, the only solution is to remove it. I asked twice. "Is there any chance to save it?" - "No, it's infected, it's too late" Not your words? You are implying, that two other dental offices did me wrong by suggesting to redo the root canal, because it would cost me more in the long run. Are you? Really? I didn't ask them to save my tooth, I asked for the opinion. Both offices' suggestion was to redo the root canal. Only then, I shared your suggestion. This review is way overdue. Long story short: They did x-Rey and then refused to give it to me when I went to get a second opinion. When I called in the first time and asked for the images, the receptionist told me " Actually, you didn't pay for it, it was on the house, so we can't give it to you". I had to educate her on my HiPPA rights, and she responded to it " Oh, you are not entitled to get your X-Rey images, if you didn't pay for it, google it, okay?" Then my husband called in to clarify it once again, to which the receptionist responded "We will have to charge you first for that xrey and then we can release it, since the scan was a courtesy scan". I didn't even know, that was a courtesy scan, to begin with. It doesn't matter, really. I had to send them an email with the direct link where it indicates, that actually I am entitled to get it regardless of the payment status and threaten them with HSS. And finally, they emailed me back saying "of course, you can get the images blah blah" like nothing happened. It was a different person though. By the time they agreed to give the images, I already done the new ones. Now, in regard to the work they done on my teeth. The fixed one and put a crown on it, and the other one they told me, that it ABSOLUTELY can't be fixed. That's the one with the root canal. They told me I have to URGENTLY extract the tooth and get an implant. And that's my molar(!). All in all it's gonna take 6m-1y and gonna cost me around $6k after my insurance. I asked many times if there is a slight chance to save it, they said absolutely not. And kept on pushing me to sign the paperwork to get started. That's why I went to get a second opinion. And guess what, the other office told me that they can absolutely save the tooth and just do the root canal/crown. And it's gonna cost me $1k after the insurance. Forget the money, I get to save my tooth and avoid all the pain!!! Ta-dah! I hesitated, thinking what if they try and won't be able to save it after all. So I decided to get a third opinion, and they told me the same: redo the root canal and save the tooth. Moreover, when I told them that Broadway Dental told me to extract it, they were in shock. My short story became a long one, apologies. Anyway, my root canal is redone and I kept all my teeth! Broadway Dental is not only incompetent and sneaky, but very greedy individuals. They smile at you, but all they see in you is $$$. read more

I've neglected going to the dentist's office for the past year or so. Had someone recommend this office and I'm confident to say this is my forever spot. The front desk is amazing. They were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and they made the check-in process quick and easy. They always take the time to answer all of my questions and address any concerns I have. But what really impressed me was how well the dentists (both brothers by the way) numbed my mouth during the procedure. As someone who usually experiences a fair amount of discomfort during dental work, I was surprised by how painless the entire process was. Dr. Dang is skilled, gentle, and made sure that I was completely comfortable throughout the entire procedure. Great bedside manners and truly cares for their patients. I called nine days before my appt to reschedule it, and the receptionist informed me that I would be charged $50 to reschedule the appt. This policy reflects a dentist who just has weird policies. I could understand if I called the day of or somehow put them in a bind, but I called nine days in advance! Just weird. I've never heard of such a thing. I will go elsewhere. To respond to the owners response, the first time I cancelled was because I went into labor. I called from the hospital while in labor to cancel! The 2nd and 3rd time were due to unexpected child care issues. I called well in advance to let them know. But instead of working with people, these guys assume the worst and label people irresponsible or not prompt citing courtesy issues? Do they have families?? I spent three years researching to buy my first car so spending three months researching a dentist is quick for me. In my research I was looking for the following in a new dentist: -Millennial practice but with a diverse in age range clientele -BIPOC dentist -proof of new dental technologies with continued advancement (attending conferences etc.) -BIPOC and LGBTQ+ friendly -accessible building with body-inclusive seating -little to no evidence of over-treating and up-selling -takes Delta Insurance -evidence of high craftsmanship and ability to do implants and aesthetic treatments (in case all my teeth fall out like they do in my dreams sometimes) -Equity in patient treatment--rescheduling and understanding of life events -COVID compliant and accommodating to immunocompromised patients Given my review rating CLEARLY I found most of what I required. Everyone knew my name on first visit. The dr. took TIME to get to know me and my medical history before even looking in my mouth. He does his own cleanings! If you read the brothers' statement on their website you'll see they are interested in re-evaluating and re-contextualizing the whole experience while making their patients feel like family and they did that for me. It was disorienting to be in the dentist's chair and not be traumatized and made to feel like meat being worked on. I was checked-in on several times and made aware of each step as we progressed together. I'm hyper-critical and don't usually write reviews unless I feel not doing so would be a huge disservice. Great dentists and highly recommend their care, but after two years of service they stopped taking my HMO dental insurance. I have a lot of fillings, and part of the reason is I've had to change dentists when they stop taking my insurance policy and each time I move to a new practice they want to redo all my fillings, and so they slowly get bigger and bigger. I'm sick of dentists building their practice by accepting lots of policies and then kicking out the poor people once they have enough clients. read more

This is by far the friendliest and most professional dental office I have ever been to!! Dr John went out of his way to make me feel comfortable in the patient seat. Not only that but all of the other staff greeted me with smiles and checked up on me several times to make sure I was feeling good. Best dentists town! I had both of my badly Impacted wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Jimmy Dang. My brother is a dentist and referred me to Dr. Jimmy for my wisdom teeth extractions. Procedure was really quick and the entire staff made my visit very comfortable. The recovery time was surprisingly quick. I was back to work after two days. Dr. Jimmy and John are very honest and great dentist! They do not try to up-sell unnecessary procedures and will give you their honest professional opinion. Everyone knows that finding a trustworthy dentist is as difficult as finding a trustworthy mechanic. Most dentists push for procedures because that's how they make money. Dr. Dang is different. He genuinely cares about his patients and their dental health. He answered all my questions and explained which procedures are absolutely necessary and which procedures are optional. I've had both the low end and high end of dentistry in my short life. This office is a keeper. Do they have OLED TVs you can watch Spongebob with Bose headphones on while you get your fillings done? No. But they have a fantastic care team, a clean and modern office, and do great work when you need it, and at the end of the day, that's what counts. Past experiences with other dentists have made it harder for me to pick up the phone and make an appointment, but the Broadway Dental office is on top of it when you call or email: friendly, great with scheduling and reminders (and follow-ups!), transparent with estimates/costs and isn't pushy about work you don't need. The customer care here really deserves a mention: they're the kind of team that calls you by name, explains procedures thoroughly and no question is too stupid (including if you can have a blanket for your wisdom teeth extraction, though not speaking from experience...) They do quality work efficiently and painlessly, and never forget the person sitting in the chair. Speaking of wisdom teeth extractions, Dr. Jimmy and Gabby made mine a relative walk in the park. Your mileage may vary depending on what kind of teeth you have, but my procedure was quick (only 30 min after I was fully numb) and even as nervous as I was, I didn't feel a thing. Was really cool that the rest of the team who did my regular check-up a week or two earlier came in and said hello, asked if I needed anything while I was numbing up. So, it's really easy to downplay an experience simply because you hate it or are scared of it, and it's equally as easy to talk something up when you have the same experience every time because you actually do what you're supposed to. I don't want to say I am the most objective reviewer out there as that would be pretty disingenuous, but I do have the unique perspective of having not been to the dentist in over 6 years, but actually really enjoying when I do go to the dentist. I very much look forward to the biannual cleaning appointments, and would honestly go more often if insurance covered it. (I even begged my mom for braces back in the day.) All that said, I was genuinely a tad nervous to stop by this time. Not because dentistry started to scare me, but because I was nervous about being judged for not going in a while and for my oral health and hygiene taking a bit of a hit. For context, I moved to the LA area 6+ years ago, and making sure I stayed on top of my preventative health care moved to the bottom of the list; especially after being kicked off my parents insurance at age 26. Thankfully, there was absolutely NO JUDGMENT whatsoever. It wasn't even a question except for in the preliminary paperwork. There was no lecture and no shaming - I felt absolutely safe and comforted and welcome to start my dental routine back up again. I had a few minor cavities that needed filling, which I scheduled for a follow-up and they cleaned me up, scraped away my tartar, and sent me on my way. I did find it weird that they didn't floss at all, as every other pervious dental experience I've had, they did. I had been keeping up on it for the last 3 years though, so perhaps they didn't find it necessary this time around, though I do wish they would've said that if that were the case. They also told me I had some fillings in my youth, but my parents and I are 99.9999% certain that has not been the case. Not sure exactly what the dentist was seeing that made him think that, but nonetheless - the experience was a 5 out of 5 stars. He even advised me to stay away from composite bonding from a cosmetic standpoint and that was all the confirmation I needed to cease looking into that. I do truly wish, though, that I could give half-stars (I would give 4.5 here), because my only girpe comes in the follow-up fill appointment. Everything was going so smoothly with getting fillings in my follow-up, but towards the end, the dentist did knick my cheek. Not at all a bad knick, but it did bleed for a bit, and I'm left with a very sore, pretty deep hole in my cheek. It does not look good, though I'm certain it will heal just fine; I bite my cheeks accidentally all the time. In the moment, I definitely felt like I was owed a discount or refund, but I reminded myself that things could've been much much worse and everyone is human - and after all, I know I signed some form that explains the risks and probably waives any liability. I knew what I was signing up for. Other aspects that make me want to give 5 out of 5 stars are the following: - They take my insurance (Delta Dental PPO) with ease. - Paying is effortless. - Front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. I just want to hug them all. (And they wear masks!) - Office is clean and bright. - They were able to hook me up with new retainers VERY quickly and efficiently on a whim! I was fully expecting to have to go to an orthodontist. - They offer superb whitening services that I'm sure I'll take part in after my cheek heals. - The dentist whose chair I had the privilege of sitting in was extremely kind, understanding, concise, explanatory and genuinely intrigued with me as a person. He has excellent social skills and definitely knows when (and when not) to engage in conversation. I am pretty picky about services like these, but despite the knick, I will absolutely be back to this dentist for my regular cleanings and any other concerns that may arise (though let's all hope that isn't the case). And immediately following my next appointment or visit, I shall update the review to 5 out of 5 stars - Provided I don't leave with a pretty nifty gouge in my cheek, again, of course. ;) Thank you so much, Broadway Dental, for easing me back into my regular check-ups and cleanings. I don't know if my review didn't post the first time or if it was removed but I went to this dental office for the first time about two years ago and drs were nice and staff were friendly. They said I needed a root canal and I booked for a different day. Day of the procedure they discussed w me that I need a root canal and asked me to make a payment and we went on to the service. When he started working on my tooth he stopped maybe 10 minutes in and was gesturing to the nurses and said I'll be back. Went spoke w someone and came back and says "oh your tooth must've been cracked it broke so unfortunately we can't do a root canal and we have to prep you for a tooth extraction" mind you they did the X-ray and examined my tooth and no mention of cracks. So I'm guessing they broke or cracked my tooth and instead of taking accountability they play it off as my tooth couldn't be saved?! I was scared nervous. Anyway they start taking blood for bone grafting and they're telling me a lot of info but he's annoyed that I'm asking questions and upset. Most traumatizing experience of my life. I will never return here again. I went to another dentist who said I'd have to wait much longer for it to heal before an unnecessary added cost of getting implants and so on because it wasn't healing The Cherry on top was they wanted to charge me for their unfinished root canal and the other stuff. I was furious. I cannot believe what I went thru that day. Now I have anxiety when I go to a dental office. read more

Very relaxing office setting. Reception was professional and welcoming. The dental assistant was nice and was patient when asking to put those very uncomfortable "bite down" items in your mouth while taking dental images.
