Stopped by the new Alo in Glendale looking for a specific pair of Accolades. Like most athleisure brands, the quality across the board is pretty comparable, so that wasn't really the deciding factor for me. What made the visit stand out was Neshun, the associate who helped me out. She immediately understood what I was looking for, found the right fit without any friction, and made the whole process easy. We even got to geek out a bit over anime, which made the interaction feel genuinely human instead of transactional. Overall, a great experience. I had a really disappointing and uncomfortable experience at this Alo location. I came in looking for a specific pair of shorts and asked an employee at the entrance for help. Her response felt dismissive, like "it's not on the floor?" instead of actually trying to assist me. What made it more upsetting was that right before me, she went out of her way to help another customer who looked more put together and "American-looking," while I came in dressed comfortably. I waited my turn and was polite, so the difference in treatment really stood out and made me feel discriminated against. I was also told they didn't have the shorts I was looking for, but I ended up finding them myself. When I later called to speak with management, Mauricio, the manager, refused to provide the employee's name and said they would "speak to her." He also tried to excuse it by saying the store was busy, but at the time I was waiting for help, there was only myself waiting after the previous customer. That did not feel like a valid excuse. I understand stores can get busy, but customers should still be treated with basic respect and equal attention. This experience left me feeling brushed off, uncomfortable, and honestly offended. read more

I adored this location. I went in this morning for a haul. Definitely can say the manager is amazing he is very polite . The staff is extremely helpful and the store is clean. The selection is also wide variety with good quality for the price. I'm going to edit, a lot of the 1 star reviews looks like ppl were going off experiences with a single worker or maybe a bad day? The leadership, service and customer appreciation at this store is zero! We spend a lot of money for items and they treat their customers as if we're at a discount store. Bottom line the employees , cashiers etc.. are just robots and managers have no idea how to bring back customers for more shopping. Example we spend over $600 ( no sale items). Usually they offer the ALO duffle bag for over $250 but cashier first initial M...., said they were all out! I like any normal merchant and adult said no worries let me have a rain check and whenever you get some I'll get one! She went to manager named Jessica and came back and said my manager said no and no exceptions! We CANT GIVE YOU A FREE BAG WHEN WE GET THEM IN!!! Someone from corporate should see this and coach their glendale managers. Americana management for a merely free bag ( she could have just said no worries) I'll take care of my customer who just spend $$650 bucks. This makes you not shop at a store with poor management or less than professional staff. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by an employee named Paulette who had a professional and welcoming demeanor. In addition to this, she went above and beyond in assisting me with my shopping needs as I felt completely unsure about what sports attire I wanted. She did such an amazing job at suggesting some outfits mentioning the new color that was just released,although i was a bit picky. I'm super irritated because I went to alo a week and a half ago right around when the sweet pink stuff dropped to look for the accolade shorts in pink. They didn't have any on the floor but I found my size on two mannequins and asked if I could buy them, not a huge deal if there was a reason they couldn't. They originally said yes and then came back and said no because they would have to redress the mannequin and they wanted to have the pink on display (even though they were completely out of stock of the item). I went back the next day like they said to check if they had more. Unfortunately they didn't (no problem) but they also sold both pairs of shorts off the mannequins. I don't mind them being sold out but being told less than 24 hours prior they can't take them off the mannequins to them both being gone the next morning is super frustrating. read more

Alo Yoga is a literal scam. They refuse to give you your cash back on returns within 30 days if you paid cash. This is one of the most conniving and shady business practices I've come across... it's unheard of in retail and fashion, and absolutely horrible for a knock off version of lululemon. read more
