Misa always does the best job on my nails!! She is the sweetest and always can do anything you ask for. The salon is very cute and has a great vibe! 5 star service always.

I have followed MiSa from two separate nail salons. She finally opened up her own shop and I still continue to get my nails done by her once a month.!!

Unprofessional and unpleasant. The staff messed up my nails multiple times and I had to come back to Misa time and time again. I brought my mom once and they did gel on her but it peeled off the next day. It was embarrassing and a total waste of money. My nails chipped the next day too. I would never come back. This review is a reflection of overall experience coming 4 times. I was charged for the most expensive pedicure option and the girl didn't follow the instructions of the steps and did a half job on it. I would know because I've come here before. I know what I asked for and paid for on their menu and in a way, my money was stolen because they never completed that service. All in all I don't appreciate that the one lady with bangs and glasses. She did my nails messed up and gaslighted me when I told her to fix it. I had to ask her over three times to fix it and she just gave up and told me to come another day for the manager to be here to do it herself. Everyone was telling her how to fix it, but she was in denial and kept telling me my fingers deformed in front of many other customers. Not only was a humiliating, but it pissed me off because it was wasted my time and my money. How do people not take accountability? Instead of telling people that their fingers are messed up when they know that's not true-there should be accountability that some other workers don't have good vision and are projecting, onto customers because they're not trained in the field that they're working in because the manager has done nails there before and it has never looked that ugly. She just doesn't know how to file the nail evenly on both sides of the finger and did way too much on one side. It is very hard to find a good nail place but quality over quantity counts. Their pricing is decent, but this place is not good at all. I would rather go somewhere where I am respected, and my nails look nice, and that I get what I pay for because that matters a lot more than being treated like trash and them taking advantage.

My friend referred me to Misa and she is incredibly talented at what she does but also so very kind and personable. The salon is clean, always has steady business, which is a great sign and everyone is so friendly. Pricing is right in line, if not better.

EHhh-Ok...This is a pretty popular place, it's always busy, I came in on a Saturday for a pedicure and didn't have to wait at all. The spa pedicure chairs are on the older side, they roll and vibrate but are not as nice as the newer models. They gave me options to upgrade my pedi but there was no preasure. The massage was really good and my toes turned out nice too. This is a Vietnamese run shop so comminication is a little hindered but I felt taken care of. Decor left somthing to be desired, but I'm not there for the art work. Tips cant be added to a credit card so bring cash, they have an ATM on site, I think the fees were about $2.00 read more

I have the best nail lady, her name is Vicky. All you have to do is tell her once what you like, and waaaaahhlaaah she does it perfectly. The staff here are friendly and provide excellent service. I love it here. I definitely recommend this place over and over. read more

I've been very pleased every time I have gone in. Making an appointment on busy days is a good idea. All of them at every nice and it's clean in there. Finally found a good place! Don't know how they can get away charging a fee for using your cc-but they have an atm nearby so that's good read more

I haven't been to this place in about 5 years I tried it out again and the girl that did my toes was in a rush and didn't paint my whole toenail. Once addressed that all my toes were basically messed up she proceeded to tell me they looked fine. She redid them and they still ended up looking terrible. I was supposed to get toes and nails done but after seeing how my toes turned out never again will I be going back. read more

The absolute BEST nail salon I've been to. Tracy is AMAZING for a pedicure after I get off work that's nearby. She actually takes her time and isn't one to rush through the appointment just to get it done. The staff has never been rude, I have no complaints. Every time I'm there, they're all happy and smiling and laughing so it brings a lot of joy and positivity to the salon. The salon is so clean and always has a sanitary, clean, good smell to it. I've never had a bad experience here and I have a feeling that I never will. 100/10 for this salon, I wish I could give more than just 5 stars. I would go as far to say this is one of the best salons in San Diego and that's more than likely the reason they've been around for so long and have so many satisfied customers! read more

Still very happy with this salon, and Kim does a great job every time! I get my nails filled every other week & have never left the salon disappointed. Apparently I have rather deep cuticles that make acrylics difficult to apply & maintain (something ive noticed when using other nail technicians), but Kim makes my nails look amazing every time. read more

I called before coming and they said to come right in they had someone available so I did. Normally places will lie about wait time to get customers in but I was greeted with Tiffany she was absolutely amazing and listened and did exactly what I had asked. Mixed feelings about this place. I'm giving it three stars because I have come back here for several years, so I guess something in the quality of the work keeps me coming back, oh and it's close to where I live. But in terms of the service, it really depends on who you get. What prompted me to write this review is the gel manicure experience I just had with Kim. First of all, I don't recommend her. At all. She's done a decent job for me before (not as much today), but has a bad attitude. She has a "know it all" attitude and I recall once she told me she owned a salon before. Perhaps she's bitter that that's no longer the case, I don't really know, but regardless that's no excuse to be rude and argumentative with customers. Today I asked for a round shape for my nails. She filed down the nails of my right hand into a squarish round shape, which significantly diminished the length that I was so happy about and waited so long to grow out! When I told her I wanted them a little rounder, she did it but argued that squarer looks "more fashion" and that round gets in the way of working or doesn't stay even or something ridiculous like that? Her reasoning made no sense but I politely listened. Next she did my right hand, now knowing that I wanted them rounder, and did a better job by just tapering in the sides and keeping the top round which preserved my length. But now my left hand nails are longer than my right. When I commented on this, she made up some story about how the right hand nails always grow slower than the left, which is why my right hand nails were supposedly shorter than my left to begin with. Nope, she actually just screwed up my right hand with her file job. I was annoyed but stayed polite and just nodded. After that she was just rushy and rude, and when I tipped her a dollar (which I don't feel she even deserved), she didn't even look me in the face and when I said "thank you" she ignored me. I said "thank you" again, a little shocked by her dismissiveness, and still got no kind response, nor even a smile, she just replied "BYE" loudly. Now it's a mixed feeling for me because prior to Kim, I had Mindy do my pedicure and she was an absolute sweetheart. Very friendly, kind and did a great job. I may or may not be back, sad because as I mentioned I've been coming here for years, but definitely will make it clear I don't want Kim's services again. read more

I have been coming here for years. For the most part I was very very happy. This time changed my mind and I will never go back again. My pedicure for my mom and I were perfect but the lady that did my fill on my nails was very confident that she could do the design that I wanted. Towards the end of her doing my design I noticed the leopard print that she was doing didn't look like the picture that I wanted. I asked her to adjust it to make it look like the picture. She did and it still looked terrible. I said maybe add a little glitter maybe that will make it look better. But in the end it looked horrible and I told her I didn't like it. She yelled in her language very loudly and proceeded to tell me that I keep changing my mind and that I need to just not say anything else just let her do her job. Very unprofessional very embarrassing. I got up and paid my $200 for the two pedicures, fill and gel manicure for my mom. When I told her I didn't want her to fix she grabbed my hand and said no she will fix. They took my money no problem. You would think to take money off because I had been going there for years and that obviously I was not happy. I went to another salon Lavie Nails & Spa right after and they fix it no problem. No charge. read more

I've been a customer for over 15 years and love this salon. They reopened on June 19 and are taking every possible precaution. Plexiglas between customer and technician, plastic curtains between each station. They take your temperature upon entering and provide gloves to use while holding the color selection boards. I've watched them sanitize every inch of their stations between customers as well. A safe and relaxing place to pamper yourself! read more

A friend of mine came in with me to your crappy salon and said absolutely nothing to us. As we stood there for five minute. All they did was chatter in a foreign language and absolutely ignore us. I would not recommend going there for your nails or anything else. They have horrible customer service and the place had a stench to it but I can't still quite figure it out what it was. read more

To start with the good the place is really nice, clean, and the employees are friendly! I got a gel manicure and asked for round nails which the lady did expect for one finger that was square. I asked twice for her to make it round but for some reason she couldn't get this one nail round which I later fixed. Next she unfortunately didn't even paint my nail completely all my nails are half painted! Lastly the gel manicure is supposed to last 2 to 3 weeks... it hasn't even been a week and my no polish is already peeling off! I'm very upset because I paid for gel which isn't always cheap and it didn't even last a week and my nails were half way painted! I'm not the person who usually get their nails done, but I decided to try Lux nails after I was refered by a friend. I had a a certain way I wanted my nails, since wanted to get acrylics for prom, and they did an amazing job! All the ladies are super nice and don't talk about you in their language. They have a vast array of colors. However, it was a little on the pricey side. I got glitter on my ring fingers and a champagne color on my other nails an it was $39. Overall, great experience! read more

I'm so incredibly happy with Kim at Lux nails!! She took me right in a few months ago and since then has NEVER disappointed!! She always books my next appt in 3 weeks and when I show up she's always on time and very quick and efficient. I get a gel pedi and gel acrylics every time and she always does a fantastic job!! All the ladies that work at Lux seem to be very friendly and good at their job, they all have their own regular customers, which I like to see. read more

I'm a regular here and recently had a unique situation that was ultimately fixed…read more I came in with long natural nails, but one (my pointer finger) had broken. Lina had a great solution and did an amazing job matching it with an acrylic extension--you can't even tell in the photo. That said, if you're in a similar situation, I'd recommend asking for Gel-X instead of acrylic. The acrylic ended up feeling loose and didn't hold well, so I had to come back before leaving for a trip. To their credit, Sunny Nails squeezed me in the very next day. Another technician quickly assessed the issue, removed the acrylic, and replaced it with Gel-X (a full, strong nail--not just a tip). The result was flawless--she shaped it beautifully, and I was able to enjoy my trip with perfect nails. The only downside was the experience during the fix. While I can't say much about their work, it seems that scheduling appointments gets rather disorganized around the busy times/holidays. Pretty disappointing.

I had two older ladies who helped me out with my manicure and pedicure. I got a regular manicure and did the volcano pedicure, it was definitely worth the upgrade. They use all the products within the package. It's not your standard stuff, they also have a cobi package available. If you're debating they show you the packages and you can see what you'd get! Overall, I am very happy with my experience. I love finding little hidden gems and this place was definitely it. It was also very extremely clean which was so great to see. I know lots of places get busy and forget about the overall look, not this place. Their prices are also very fair. They have manicures ranging from 20-52 depending on the type and if you want gel. For pedicure I believe it goes from 30-72, again depending on the type and if you want gel. I will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone here! My stars are based on Customer Service & my results. I figure everyone has their own rating scale for cleanliness, "speaks English", etc., so you'll have to decide that for yourself. It's definitely a high-volume shop, but everyone was so friendly that the chit-chat between the gals working there didn't bother me at all. I went in on a recommendation from a friend and requested Tiffany. My plan was for a full set of pink & white gel, but forgot to remind her so ended up with pink & white acrylic. That's ok-the white line is flawless and they're thin & shaped well. Since its been 100degrees this November, I'm still wearing flip flops so I needed my toes done. When I said I'm not into the leg massage & too ticklish for scrubbing, they said I should just do a polish change instead of wasting money on a full pedicure. What shop has ever talked you OUT of spending extra?!? So awesome. Not super cheap, but what I've been spending so I was fine. Paid $50 for full set & French toes (tip was extra). Glad I took the advice & gave them a try. Next to VONS-the light is out on the sign so be careful not to end up at the other shop in the same parking lot.) read more

Luxi is hands-down the best nail shop I've ever been to! The atmosphere is clean, welcoming, and relaxing every single time I walk in. Always great, friendly, and at a reasonable price--this is my go-to spot whenever I need my pedi and manicure did. Everybody is friendly and the great majority of the time my nails are super- once in a while you will get someone new who needs a little more time to master it, but that rarely happens, I wouldn't keep going if they weren't good and the nails didn't last. And last time I went it was 30, they make up a price to rip u off when u got there and rush u out before ur nails even finish drying and try to charge to fix them when the got ruined cuz the made u leave!
