There are no words to describe how much I love this place... it's a hidden gem in Santee. At first I was intrigued of the idea of "appointment only". I really like it! No sitting and listening to others talk and work on all sides of you. Anh is so kind and professional.. I'm usually the only one there, and she works her magic on my nails. She's like a surgeon. This is my second time here now and I couldn't be more pleased! Han and Thi are the amazing sisters that operate this facility. They are very good at what they do while providing the best customer service and care. They are detail oriented, gentle, and attentive to what you like and want. I absolutely love it here and am happy that I found my regular place to go to. It's very clean and cute! It's also very affordable for a gel manicure and gel pedicure (even if it's chrome or cat-eye, which I've gotten both), so it's awesome that I can tip them more for their pristine work. I thought long and hard about posting this review and the only reason why I am is only because I saw them post a story in their instagram page about someone else's review saying they were "trying to ruin their 5 star reputation". My first and last visit was back in December. I found them because my husband washes his car right in front of their place. Found them on IG and saw they were by appointment only so I booked online. Day of my appointment I was honestly surprised at how cute and clean their little place was. Waited maybe 5 minutes before getting seated and one of their girls got started on the gel manicure I wanted. Once she was done prepping my nails, on of the 2 sisters who own the place switched places with the first tech and started working on my design. When I showed her what I wanted she didn't say anything about it being too difficult and got to it right away. I wanted to change my design once I saw she was kinda struggling but I was also trusting the process I swear ! Mid design, 2 other clients walked in, and you could tell they were long time clients. Both sisters got up and greeting them and quickly started congratulating one of them (I think one of them was getting married or engaged or something of that sort). They got them glasses and brought wine out to celebrate. All while I was still sitting waiting for her to come back and finish my nails. Instead of returning, she started working on one of the girls and the second sister took her place to finish my nails. She joked around saying, and I quote, "we don't know how to draw for shit" but she would try and get them as close as possible to my inspo. I just want to point out that the main reason I even booked with them was because their IG posts are FULL of pretty designs which are far more elaborate than the black squiggly lines I asked for ! She then said that maybe next time I could text/dm them my design so they could make sure they could do it.. She "finished" my nails, I paid the $30 they charged and I left. I honestly don't think I'll ever be back as I already found a new nail tech that nails it every time, but I just wanted to come here and say, hey, maybe don't blast your clients on social media and try to learn to accept constructive criticism. Also, if you are trying to build relationships with your clients, maybe don't ignore your new clients that are already in the chair. So I'm not one to usually post reviews but I had to give one for Tipology! I've been driving past for about a year, on the occasion I'd go to the neighboring Mexican food shop or the car wash. I was immediately intrigued by the curb appeal of the storefront. I was determined to find their instagram and when I did, I fell in love with their work as it is very versatile and trendy work. During my postpartum journey of my now 1 1/2 yr old, I've neglected to do the things that bring me joy - like getting my nails done! I went on 2/24 and got a Gel X full set as well as my toes painted! It was my first time getting Gel X and while I had been curious about it, I'd never had the opportunity to try it. Absolutely PERFECT. First things first you come to get your nails done and they're done beautifully. I asked for a transparent soft pink and that's exactly what I got. Everything is super clean and my gel pedicure came out so good. I visited the shop on January 6th, this was my second visit and it was even more amazing then the first! Han was my technician again. She is always so welcoming and kind. The staff here truly care about the quality of their work and are so accommodating. The shop offers lovely refreshments anything from Italian soda to water. Hawn and her sister are very professional and friendly and they do a great job! They make sure to make you feel special and make sure you are well taken care of and happy w your services... The only thing you may not be used to is this kind of individually focused service TAKES TIME, so don't plan to come in for a quickie job! I think it's mostly by appointment but that makes it better because they are fully focused on giving you the best experience. I really wanted sparkly pink and she took the time to show me different colors to make sure it was the perfect one. OMG this place is a gem! It's so cute and well decorated. It's a smaller sister owned shop so appointments are preferred but I called and was able to do a walk in. My nails were so well done and you could tell they were very detail orientated about their work. The price was more than fair I was actually suprised at how low it was for the amount of care I recieved. I highly recommend. read more
