Lina had a great solution and did an amazing job matching it with an acrylic extension--you can't even tell in the photo. That said, if you're in a similar situation, I'd recommend asking for Gel-X instead of acrylic. The acrylic ended up feeling loose and didn't hold well, so I had to come back before leaving for a trip. To their credit, Sunny Nails squeezed me in the very next day. Another technician quickly assessed the issue, removed the acrylic, and replaced it with Gel-X (a full, strong nail--not just a tip). The result was flawless--she shaped it beautifully, and I was able to enjoy my trip with perfect nails. The only downside was the experience during the fix. The technician seemed frustrated, didn't respond to my thank you, and abruptly turned off the blue light and walked away without acknowledgment. It felt a bit uncomfortable--especially since I had already paid extra for the initial service and had to come back. Overall, they made it right, and I appreciate the quality of the final result--just wish the customer experience during the correction matched it.

I had contacted the salon via text over 2 weeks ago to schedule an appointment with a specific nail…read moretech and received a phone call earlier this morning to confirm my appointment but somehow she got double-booked and I got the short end of the stick. The lady at the front desk was nice and tried to ask if I wanted to get a pedicure in the meantime or if I wanted to come back later (3 hours later than I initially requested ) but that wasn't going to work with me. I had confirmed an appointment well in advance and confirmed again via phone call the morning of but it didn't matter. While I can't say much about their work, it seems that scheduling appointments gets rather disorganized around the busy times/holidays. Pretty disappointing.

The outside might look okay at first glance, but the inside of the nails was left extremely messy and unfinished. There's visible buildup, debris, and uneven product under multiple nails. It feels uncomfortable and honestly unsanitary. For $72 plus tip, I expected much better attention to detail and cleanliness. Proper prep and finishing--especially underneath--should be basic standards for Gel-X. I'm sharing photos so you can see what I mean. I would not recommend this service based on my experience.

While they did improve after being redone, they still weren't as clean and polished as I would expect for the price. A good set should be thin, not bulky or puffy, with a smooth surface (no lumps or dips), a clean cuticle area (no product on the skin), and straight, even shaping. When these things are off, it's noticeable right away. I'm not sure if it's the products being used, the application, or rushing, but for a mid-to-high price range, I expected better consistency and attention to detail. I was also told it was due to my natural nails, but I've had my nails done at other salons and never experienced these issues, so I don't believe that's the case. I really appreciate their willingness to fix the work, but I'd prefer a place that gets it right the first time without needing adjustments. Especially since those adjustments aren't the best either... Getting your nails done should be a fun, relaxing experience, not one where you're worried about the outcome each time.

That was $30. My father received a simple nail trim and that was $20. The customer service is the reason my rating wasn't higher. My father is in his 80s. He sat waiting for someone to come over while I was immediately attended to. When his tech came over, not only did she seem to keep looking for her next opportunity but she quickly left when done. It made me nervous to see my father get in and out of the chain and even worse when he reached down to get his sox. I kept thinking he could easily have fallen. When I ask for them to hand him his sox as I was sitting next him getting my feet done, the tech was called back over and basically tossed the sox on to his tummy. The reason this stood out to me is that other places we have gone have been more helpful and seemingly respectful. Seeing other reviews, we may have just hit them at an off day or perhaps I was being too sensitive. For me the price and experience didn't quite match.
