Fantastic place, highly recommend! I've been getting acrylics done for years and have had many good (and bad) sets. Throughout all of them, I've found Moon nails to be the best of the best. It's my go to location as they do the best job, are timely, and have great prices. This set was $52 (fill-in w/ gel). This last time I went I asked for some additional designs. In other salons, they would say no, or charge extra, or do a poor job, not here!! My manicurist was excited to do my request and did a fantastic job (I showed her a picture once and she got it spot on) without even charging extra. I have been a consistent customer at Moon Nails but not on a weekly basis, it's where I go to get my manicures and pedicures. Yesterday was the first time in two months and the receptionist came away from her customer, walked by me and said under her breath, "two months" and I asked if I could still get a pedi. The woman who attended to me was pleasant but at one point during my visit, I got a feeling the laughter and comment had been about me. I had just turned down the offer of a manicure (it's not always worth it because my hands are busy and I just polish them myself). I don't think I can go back because I now choose the overall experience and it includes being respected whether it's for one service or two. People need to be aware that we're awakened now and know the spirit behind things. I will go where I am appreciated. read more

Both times I've been here the nail techs at Moon Nails & Spa A L W A Y S do a bad job. The work seems rushed and uneven all the time (pics below for reference) The last time I went they didn't even turn the seat massager on... I literally got charged for it. The ladies are sweet but learn how to do nails.. I can easily drive to the Price Breakers in San Diego and pay under $45 including tip for a beautiful and EVEN full set and a spa pedicure. I went and had a gel manicure and spa pedicure yesterday and it was a really nice experience. There was only one other person there and it was completely relaxing. I was really pleased with how my nails turned out and the attention that they gave me. I got my nails done here on 9/17... I work near by and broke a nail at work. I was going to go to my nail shop but didn't want to walk around with the broken nail. I called to make an appointment, the lady said when do you want to come, I replied 20 minutes... I arrived on time I was welcomed with smiles and how was your day. Tina showed me to her work station and said she will be right back. I had on a set of nails that was ugly, I figured with a fill and nail polish it will be okay.. Tina took one look at my nails and said these are no good, Lol. She said l take off for free, What?!?! My nails was so bad they almost fell off. I wanted ombre nails, coffin shape, easy enough. Tina really took her time with my nails. She did right what the last mail shop did wrong. I loved my nails so much. I got rhinestone on two, and that just made me love my nails more. I didn't get a pedicure, because I was wearing sneakers as I just got off. 4 star's because I felt the nails was to long and wanted to cut them down and she felt the length was fine. First time in today on a whim since I didn't have time to go to my usual spot and this place was unknown to me. I was greeted by three ladies who were pleasant. The actual establishment was neat and very clean. I was seated and asked for only a manicure which was not expensive at all. I then asked Ms. Yen if was possible to have a more elaborate manicure. This is where it fails- It was simply warm oil in a greenish lotion substance-per the words of the Manicurist. Simple bowl and barely a massage(1-2 minute).Not hot towels just the cold regular towels you would normally get. $21 total with the added $1 Surcharge to use card. So bring cash if you rather give money to the manicurist. This is where I give it an A ok,-Meh. Yen was very nice and tried to speak throughout the manicure although I wasn't into talking just relaxing and I had my earbuds on . I know she was just trying to provide customer service so I would pause to answer her questions. They do try to up sale which I know is part of the job but it can take away from the experience along with questions that are very personal when you it is not reciprocal nor would I ask such due to manners. I would possibly come back just because it does feel very family oriented and they are kind. Although I didn't get Shellac nail polish my natural nails came out good. read more
