Vina, our favorite nail technician decided to open her own business due to her huge following. How big? I reside in South Park, drove down to Bonita to see her, and now drive to El Cajon. Yeah, she's that awesome. My favorites are the spa pedicure and gel manicure. Vina is very careful and attentive to your pedicure needs. I have never experience and nicks or cuts, she's quite gentle. The pedicure includes, scrub and mask- no upgrade involved. I love my gel manicure, they last for WEEKS. Vina is super patient while applying the polish, making sure you're satisfied with your nail experience. She's so awesome, my mom, sister, and friends go to see her! I'm suppose to be writing good reviews but I just can't for this place! I went to try this place out being that it is close to where I live and my feet hurt from working out.. looking to do a spa pedi, I was in the spa chair but she didn't give me option as I see her get to the callus remover I ask about the sea salt and such . The place I go to at least puts lotion on your legs and feet this place didn't do anything that I could not do at home .. and she rushing because her other client walked in and has appt. ( mind you I called before I came and ask what time would work for you; they said now ) THE CALLUS remover didn't remove any callus( she scrub my feet so fast and effortless I feel like shit ) ; I have better professional stuff at home by the way . She literally painting my toes as I write this which I only been sitting about 10min . This is the worst pedi I gotten my whole 30years of living! Never ever have I had someone rush through my feet and give me the most basic pedi ever. I even brought my school book which was no need because like I said she ran through this whole process .. I had to even ask does the chair massage because they didn't even hand me the thing or start it for me. I wanted to relax now; I'm mad I even came and to think I have to pay her . This will be the first time in history I do not tip ! Do not try this place at all if your looking for somewhere I usually go to femmel on Broadway in El Cajon and I regret not sticking to them ..Also the lady was nice nothing personally service just sucked and I did inform her just so she don't do that again to no one else read more

You get what you pay for. To begin with they charge extra for everything including having long(pretty normal length for me) nails and shaping them. Next, it took me 3 hours to get a full set because they kept stopping me and starting someone else. I actually had to repaint them when I got home cuz they looked so bad. Lastly, it hasn't even been a full two weeks, and three tips have already came off one of which popped off after simply opening my eyeshadow palette. I love coming to this spot. I went in today and got a regular manicure and deluxe spa pedicure for $33 . Last time I came I got a French shellac and deluxe spa pedicure for $45!! Their prices are great and they're super friendly. The lady that did my pedicure really took her time in making my toes perfect and I've never had a problem with them cutting me during manicures. Also, if you go for a pedicure ask for the deluxe spa pedicure!! It is seriously the best. Not only do my feet look fab but it's also very soothing. Definitely is my new go to place. read more

OLD PRICE LIST AND PRESSURE FOR TIPS. I came back to this place after being gone for a few years. When I came in I looked at their price list, pink and white full set..$25 and regular pedicure..$16, that's what's on their list on the wall. They were friendly and asked what I wanted and put me in a chair right away. Friday at noon, they had just a couple other customers. 20 minutes later a lady started on my pedi, once done I was moved to the nail chair.. I waited for half hour for Vina to get started on my nails..total time at this point 1hour 45 minutes. When finished I asked how much was my total, she said $50 so I asked why 50..the nails were 25 plus my pedi was 21 because I had the callus remover so I was expecting to pay $46. Vina said the pink and white set is 29, not 25 as their price list said. I suggested that they should update that list because is confusing for customers. So now i was left with only $2 in cash left in my wallet and that's what I gave her as tip. Well.. she seemed to be disappointed when she counted the money and realized there was only a $2 tip, she couldn't hold it and she had to bring it up infront of all the customers, at this point there were 4 or 5 more ladies there and she asked: "And this is for both of us?" Meaning the pedi lady and her. She gave me the "are you serious" face. I thought that was rude. The tip is not mandatory at nail places plus their price list is either outdated or they raise the price in the moment. Tips are given to these ladies as a thank you, but they seem to expect more than $2 .. another thing is that they put 2 different people to work on you, so now you have to leave 2 tips, not one.. I think they are insane if they expect someone to leave two tips of $5.. that means that you have to add $10 more to the total each time you come see them. Their work is acceptable and they are friendly so that gets them 3 stars.. but they definitely need to improve, they need to update that price list and they need to stop the pressure for tips because it did make me feel that my 2 bucks were not appreciated even though I spent all the cash I had with me, and if they put 3 people to work on one customer they shouldn't expect the customer to leave 3 tips.. I'm somewhat disappointed with my last visit and I don't think I'll be back for a while since there's so many nail salons all over San Diego. next time I'll give the chance to another place where my $2 can be appreciated. Total time spent there 2 hours 45 minutes for a set of nails and pedicure. read more

I went in today to get a gel manicure. I found about this place about 3 weeks ago when I went to get gel pedicure and a gel manicure. I have never done my nails before and the first time I went to one was in Parkway Plaza where I was charged $50 for gel manicure! It was a total rip off compared to the $15 here. This place is my best kept secret, I have been coming here for about 7 years. Don't let the location deter you, it's nothing super fancy from the outside but it is nice and comfortable inside, with 4 great spa pedicure chairs and 6 nail stations. The main ladies have pretty much been here the entire time I've been coming, it's nice that they always remember me even if it's been a while since my last visit. You can't beat their deluxe spa pedicure, you will not find as thorough of service for this price anywhere ($28!!). It includes callous remover, leg and foot scrub, cooling masque, paraffin wax for feet and quite a bit of total massage time. 5 stars for price and service, the gals here are amazing! My friend loves this place so I decided to go there for my daughters special birthday. We made an appointment for four people. We were there 3 minutes late and the entire place was full. First disappointment. Now we are taken in at different times after waiting for them to be done with all the other customers. Needless to say but we were done alot later then it should have took which made me miss another scheduled appointment. The place has no AC, no functioning tv, the sun beats on you while waiting seated on the hard chairs, the door is left open, and the place is full of flies. The pedi was ok, besides scarying the flies off me, even with callus remover, my feet didnt come out smooth. The woman never spoke to me. I also had a full set. I was cut twice. She was obviously rushing! After all I was charged $94 for 2 pedi, 2 full sets. My friend picked up the other 2 tabs. I was upset cause they never informed me that french tip would be more, plus they told my daughter to get shellac which was extra. Extra for this and that and that....I was shocked even after my two cuts on my hands. This is the first time ever I didn't tip because the serve was foul and the dishonesty of the total price. I didn't get Vina since I didn't make an appointment, and my experience unfortunately was only "ok". The shop is nice on the inside and quite relaxing but it seemed like the girl doing my pedi was rushing and she seemed stressed out. After giving my nails a break I decided to come here for a full set & had a less than stellar experience. I came in after work one day and asked for a full set & a pedi. The prices were very good, I ended up paying 40 dollars total and the pedi was decent which is what earned this place two stars from me. When it came to the full set I sat down and the nail tech worked on my nails up until she glued & cut the plastic tips on to my fingers. After that she got up & worked on another customers nails for 30 minutes. I've never had that happen before at any other salon. Even after she came back to me she got up at least 3 other times for no less than 10 minutes each time to do other things around the salon. After all was said and done my nails looked decent however they all lifted pretty badly about a week into having them & one popped clean off. I decided to try and give this place one more shot because the prices were so good but when I walked in the next time they told me that they were closed & they just forgot to turn off their sign & to come back tomorrow. I checked their posted opening time & decided to come then. I came today 10 minutes after the posted opening time and nobody was at the shop and it was completely closed. The prices may be great here but the customer service isn't, and my nails didn't even last 2 weeks. I will not be going back. read more

I got a Mani and Pedi for $20!! The girl doing my nails seemed to be in a rush and should I add it wasn't a busy day, I was the only one there. I've been wanting a gel manicure (first gel manicure) a while now so I finally decided to get one yesterday, I called a day before to make an appointment so I wouldn't have to wait in case it was busy. (I had been here once for a pedicure that I loved! the older lady is the best fyi That's why I came back) so I get there and it's fine I tell them why I'm there and that I had called and they make me sit, cool! Then they make me move to another seat, okay! And finally again I have to move seats (final one) so I tell the lady what color I wanted and she gets it. Everything is going good she starts to prep things... when it come to the actual manicure it was so painful! She seemed to be in a rush and when she was pushing my cuticle back she kept stabbing my actual fingers now when it was time to cut the cuticle she was also rushing and ended up cutting me and didn't apologize til I started bleeding ALOT! Finally, when it came down to the color I got an aquaish color and a silver glitter on my ring finger. she did 3 very thin layers and 2 of the glittler... I can still see my natural nail on most of my fingers... when it was time to pay she said it was $16 when at the beginning she had said it would be $15 so I asked her about it and she said I got shellac when I clearly had told her I wanted gel I said okay fine and payed for it, now a day later I see how a full it looks...
