I was able to get seen right away so that was nice. My nails were already done from a previous appointment but they needed a fill pretty badly. They are almond shaped and the powder color was a nude pink. My regular nail tech mixes 2 colors so I didn't expect a match at this place but it was fine. I was getting them painted matte black anyways. The nail techs here was all older woman, nice, didn't really talk a lot. Just asked what I wanted, what color and shape and how short. I don't want to assume her English wasn't the best but also, I gather she's not fluent. It was definitely a trust the process type of service. It looked worse before it got better. There was no cuticle care and the finishing buff was not as smooth as I would have liked. The nails also were a bit thicker than what I started with. The shape changed slightly but not a big deal. The one thing I would say I didn't like the most was the polish did not start at the cuticle. She left a gap on all nails. It's not the biggest deal but its just not what I prefer. I wanted a matte black polish and anyone who knows matte colors knows you can see every imperfection. You can see the brush strokes and bumpiness of some of the nails. Again I know how matte colors work so I just didn't complain because I was there as a last resort. The salon is a decent size and appears well taken care of. Its a quiet area. One thing I did question was cleanliness. There was a nail tech with no customers who was sitting at a station trimming her own nails. My mind instantly went to are those tools her personal tools or tools for a customer? Will she clean them? Then it spiraled from there. Overall it wasn't a horrible experience and in a pinch it was sufficient. Would I make an appointment here? No. I'm giving it a 3 because although I didn't LOVE my nails, the lady was nice and she did her best.

I have had manicures with nail polish, gel polish, and powder nail dip done. I also love the optional back massage pedicure chairs with pristine foot baths and options for leg and foot massages. Looked like dirt under nails, rough/unfiled, with cuticles covering 1/4+ length. All he did was dip on 1 nail that's got permanent damage to nail bed. The tip will split vertically if not protected. He pried the old dip off with a 'pop', which likely removed some nail layers with it. He filed my nail length back 'all' the way, so that dip was stuck to the tip of my finger. I left with new dip so thin that it didn't protect the split in my natural nail, but split right through within 2 days. So it was worse than when I came in. There was only 1 customer and quite a few employees, 1 was even sitting out front. Never again.

They left my price at the one I selected which was fair. I will caution you - be clear about what you want - I suggest Star give a written menu and you select your choice in writing - to save any uncomfortable miscommunication. This can potentially lose clients. I did feel like I was unknowingly upsold. All said they did such a nice job and everyone that helped us was very nice. They did an excellent pedicure/manicure. Took their time. My friend looked beautiful she had gel nail polish and gel toenail polish! II will say everything was done without feeling hurried and I would recommend them. Plan on spending about $200 for two.

Walked in without an appointment needing a gel mani and asked about the wait time. I was told "a…read morefew minutes," which I usually figure is around 10 to 15. I totally understand that scheduled clients come first, and I didn't mind waiting since I didn't have an appointment. I do mind the miscalculation of time. ​At least three people with appointments walked in while I waited. The manager mentioned needing to start them, and asked for another 10 minutes. Every time she acknowledged me after that, she just added more time to the clock, said "thank you for waiting," and kept me sitting. I ended up waiting 54 minutes before finally getting into a chair. I really wish nail salons would just be upfront and say, "We can't take you right now," or give you a realistic time to come back. ​Once I was seated, the process didn't get much better. To remove my old gel, they insisted on soaking my hands directly in a bowl of acetone. When I asked about using cotton and foil instead, I was told this was faster. After 15 minutes in cold acetone, I just pulled my hands out. It felt like a tactic to stall while waiting for an available tech. ​During the service, there was too much filing, and I had to speak up because it was actually hurting my nail beds. The cure light burned, too. ​The space itself is comfortable enough, but it's not a luxury salon compared to other places I've been. They do have a really nice selection of colors and display nails to view. My color turned out pretty initially, but my gel manicure didn't even last a full week before peeling, and my nails ended up breaking down super short. ​It is a fairly inexpensive salon for anyone wanting budget friendly.
