I had a really disappointing experience at this salon. I arrived at 5:40 PM for a full set of acrylic nails and did not leave until 8:30 PM, which is an excessive amount of time for such poor results. The technician working on my nails was not focused on her work. She spent most of the appointment talking and joking instead of paying attention, which led to multiple issues. While applying the nails, they kept falling off because they were not being glued properly. I pointed this out several times, but my concerns were dismissed and not taken seriously. When she moved on to the design, the work became even worse. The nails were crooked, uneven, and messy. Eventually, another staff member had to step in and redo everything from scratch. This meant removing all the gel with a drill and starting over, which made the already long appointment even more frustrating. At the same time, I was also getting a pedicure, and that experience was just as bad. The technician did not understand what I was asking for. I repeatedly requested a simple French style, but she kept doing something completely different. I had to ask her two times to redo. It was clear there was a lack of communication. This is not my first time getting acrylics, so I know what to expect. A full set, even with a French design, should not take this long. At other salons, my nails usually last three to four weeks without any issues. Here, the quality was clearly not the same. When it came time to pay, I expressed that I did not feel the service deserved full price given everything that went wrong. Instead of acknowledging the situation, they only offered a 10% discount after I had to ask for it myself. The staff seemed annoyed that I even brought it up, and there was no real apology for the experience. Considering the time, the quality, and the inconvenience, I expected a much more reasonable adjustment. To make matters worse, only two days later, one of my nails has already fallen off with no effort. I got my nails done for an upcoming trip, and now I am leaving with broken nails, which is incredibly frustrating. The place had a lot of potential. They even offer two complimentary drinks, which initially made the experience feel more exciting. However, good perks do not make up for poor service, long wait times, and low-quality work. If the results had been better, I would have come back, but after this experience, I will not be returning. Overall, this is not a place I would trust if you are looking for quality work. We have reserved the private room for our group on two separate occasions and made appointments in advance each time. Unfortunately, on neither visit were those reservations honored. We were not seated in the private room as requested, and we were not taken back at our scheduled appointment time--each visit resulted in a delay of 30 minutes or more. In addition to the scheduling issues, the quality of service has also been disappointing. On both visits, one or two of my nails broke within a day, which is not acceptable given the time and money invested. At this point, this has become a pattern rather than an isolated experience, and this most recent visit was the final straw. Due to the repeated lack of follow-through on reservations and the poor durability of the service provided, we will not be returning. Heard about this place on a lot of people's IG. It's pretty big and there's a lot of pedi and mani stations, but they stay busy! Even with appointment, I still waited 30 mins. I am sure the other people who had appointments at the same time as me had to wait longer because they came in a few minutes after me. People Who didn't have an appointment waited at least an hour and half. I was there when they walked in and I was still there almost done and they barely got sat for a mani. They have a variety of drink selections, probably the most selections compared to other places. Service and mani and pedi turned out great. This place is good, but if you lack patience then it's not worth it. Just a heads up, appointment or not; there's a lot of waiting and they are busy even on a Sunday. Came in with a friend for some pampering--I got a manicure, she got a pedicure. The place looks nice inside, and it's in a convenient spot in El Cajon. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill with the nail techs. My tech was somewhat nice at first, but there was a significant language barrier that made it really hard to communicate what I wanted for my nails. She'd try to explain things, but I couldn't understand, and then she'd get visibly frustrated with me--like almost making a bit of a scene--which was uncomfortable and unpleasant. It definitely killed the relaxing vibe I was hoping for. My friend's tech was even ruder. She barely made eye contact, pretty much ignored her questions even when my friend was being polite and trying to chat. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. The actual work on our nails was fine, nothing standout, but the attitude and lack of good communication really soured the whole visit. Honestly, wouldn't recommend coming here unless you're okay with potential frustration. There are plenty of other nail spots in the area that seem more welcoming. I had such a great first time experience here! If you're thinking of spending the extra $20 for the higher priced pedicure, just do it. So worth it! Lin was amazing, she did a great job. I did the milk and honey pedicure (#5). They serve free cocktails/mocktails/coffee/matcha while you are there. They even came around with snacks. My strawberry matcha was great. I should have timed my massage, it was 35mins included with the pedicure, they do get up a few times during it, which is understandable to grab more supplies.. but I think they should add on more on the timer for the time they have to grab stuff if "35 mins" is advertised. I went with my daughter for pedicures and it was so enjoyable. The staff are super friendly and we had free drinks and snacks while enjoying the full body massage chairs. I loved having air compression on my arms at the same time. Hailey did my toes and did a great job, she took her time and didn't rush. My toes look great and my feet and legs feel refreshed. I originally discovered this salon through TikTok and was immediately impressed by the level of luxury and care in their pedicure services. During my first visit, everything was flawless. My pedicure was excellent, and the technician who did my Gel-X manicure was knowledgeable, meticulous, and professional. That first experience made me think I had found my go-to nail salon. Unfortunately, my experiences after that have been inconsistent -- particularly with Gel-X services. And please review my Yelp history. I don't give low stars regularly.. On my second visit, I learned the gel x technician from my first appointment was no longer there. I decided to proceed anyway, expecting a similar level of quality. My Gel-X set lasted only about eight days before a nail cracked completely off, despite my fairly low-impact daily routine. I work about 2 days a week. I gave the salon another chance and returned for a new Gel-X set. While the technician was kind, the service itself felt disorganized. She soaked off xl stiletto gel set and assumed I wanted acrylic. There was confusion about the length and shape I requested, and several nails were applied incorrectly with visible gaps, bubbles, and one nail glued on crooked. I politely asked to switch technicians, which the staff accommodated, and I still tipped BOTH technicians for their time. Wanting to give the salon a fair opportunity, I returned again and specifically called ahead to request someone experienced with Gel-X. My pedicure during this visit was excellent -- the salon consistently does great pedicure work. However, the Gel-X manicure again fell below expectations. Two nails had visible bubbles immediately after curing, which she soaked off and reapplied. Now at eight days layover (I told her I was going to Europe and my nails needed to last), THREE extensions popped off entirely. I had to purchase a nail file and SUPERGLUE to repair them myself while traveling. After this happened, I called the salon to let them know that three nails had come off within eight days. The person who answered was kind and said they would fix the three nails that popped off. I explained that the three nails currently have superglue on them, so visually they look fine, but I'm concerned that the remaining nails are at risk of popping off as well. I was told to call 2-3 hours before coming in so she could personally look at my nails, but there was no guarantee the full set would be fixed. While the woman on the phone was kind, the lack of assurance after spending over $160 on the gel x manicure alone (including tip) was extremely disheartening. I'm happy to pay for quality service and always tip generously, but aside from my first visit, the Gel-X manicures have not matched the price point (around $100-$130, not including tip) or the salon's reputation. To be fair, this salon truly excels at pedicures. However, based on my experiences, the consistency and durability of their Gel-X manicure services need improvement. Came here for a pedicure with friends. We had all poured over the different kinds the night before so we knew which to ask for when we arrived the next day. The pedicure I requested was supposed to have a 25 minute massage. However, that was not at all the case. The usual salon I go to uses a timer from start of massage until that beep goes off. So when my tech started the timer and essentially just slathered me with a treatment, then got up to go get towels while the treatment did its thing, then added another treatment, left again, over 15 mins had passed. No massage had occurred at all. When she finally did sit to give me a massage it was approximately 7 mins worth. That was a total disappointment as I paid more because the description listed it as a 25 minute massage... not a 25 min treatment, etc etc and massage time. I felt that was deceptive. My tech was nice enough, they all were, but my friends also commented on how wrong it is to advertise something and not follow through. This salon needs to be honest about what that 'massage time' really entails. Another thing I noticed as we were leaving, that really bothered me, was the glassware we drank our complimentary drinks from were being washed with a sponge that was sitting on top of the sink IN the salon. I get they may not have a dishwasher on site, but if that's the case, I'd prefer they use disposable ware. I don't know what's on that sponge and you're just using it over and over with possible nail salon chemicals, nail dust, etc all over it. To add insult to injury, a week after my pedicure, the sides of my toenail started to feel tender, and more so as each day passed that week. I realize now the tech had trimmed my nail in such a way it caused my toenail to become ingrown . So painful! I go to my salon regularly, but tried this place since friends were going, and aside from the sweet ladies working, I wouldn't recommend it or go again. read more

Absolutely lovely and clean on the inside. Everyone has a smile on their face and more than willing to go the extra mile whether you are their consumer or not. I walked in for a dip powder manicure and a pedi. They did a beautiful job on both AND they are able to comfortably do both at the same time. I also have to comment on the cushy/extremely comfortable spa chairs. I usually have to turn them off due to the obnoxious digging they do. These were like flying first class on a top airline. Had the 24 Golden Pedicure with Hailey today and it was wonderful. The massage is timed and although she had to get up and do various things throughout, she went over on the time which makes up for it. The massage is no joke, it feels like a deep tissue massage. It also includes a couple of drinks. Vietnamese coffee was very good, just a little on the sweet side. The pedicure lady did not do a good job. I don't think I need to tell a worker how to do their job correct. She put the nail polish before even scrubbing my feet. She kept going back to fix the polish. She didn't scrub at all. Didn't file, only tapped my toe nails with the file. To start this is my 3rd time here and the 1st 2 times I had a much better experience. Unfortunately, I did not get this techs name as she didn't talk to me much. I understand that everyone has different capabilities which is why at the beginning I showed her the picture and asked if it was possible and said if it wasn't I would pick something else. She said she could do all but the checkered thumb so I thought that's fine! She had me pick colors and write them down. She went to get the colors and came back without one I requested and with a different number and then told me I didn't pick a certain color. She did the flowers and when I asked her to fix them and pull all the dots into the center like the flowers in the picture she said she would do it later, and then at the last second instead of doing that she added different colors in the center and changed the type of flower. They don't look bad just weren't what I asked for. Then with the smiley face it felt like she didn't take her time with them and they are chunky and uneven. Then when it came time to do the clouds she said she couldn't do them and claimed she said in the beginning she couldn't (but if that's the case I would have chosen a different design cause I was most excited about the clouds, and why did she paint it all blue like she was going to do the cloud design?). At some point she even said "I know they don't look good". It wasn't a terrible experience and they aren't the worst but I left feeling disappointed and wished when I asked at the beginning if it wasn't something she could do she was honest and said no I would've just done pastel tips Unfortunately, I did not have the time to have them fixed or redone. I originally came to this salon because I was referred to a specific nail tech. I had an appointment, rescheduled it, and when I showed up they hadn't actually updated the appointment at all. The man at the front desk clearly didn't know what he was doing and kept saying he needed to talk to the manager--who turned out to be just as unprofessional and rude. I was told I could wait about 20 minutes for the nail tech I booked. Over an hour passed. At that point, I agreed to see someone else. That technician acted annoyed the entire time, as if I was interrupting her phone call. She barely spoke to me, didn't engage at all, and made it very clear she didn't want to be doing my nails. The result was terrible. I returned the next day because the nail color looked awful, only to be told I would have to pay again to fix it. Once again, the front desk had no idea how to handle the situation. After more confusion, they finally decided the manager would redo my nails so I wouldn't be charged. Even then, the manager was visibly irritated that she had to fix them. No apology, no accountability--just attitude from start to finish. To make matters worse, I had a translation device with me and could understand that staff were complaining about customers throughout the entire visit.
