Linda gave me the best haircut I've had in years. She is a fun lady with very fair prices.

I have been getting my haircut with Mr. Amir for 20+ years! I cannot imagine anyone else handling my hair as I have very delicate hair and Mr Amir knows exactly what to do every time! Mr. Amir is a hair stylist and not a barber! I come here for the full experience, not just to get my hair cut! I feel like I am leaving from my home every time I walk out of this establishment! I will forever recommend! read more

I walked in almost in tears, medication I had to take is making my hair fall out. Amir squeezed me in his schedule I think on this lunch. He did a nice cut up without losing my length. He suggested a shampoo to try. This stranger even hugged me and said he was sorry when he saw how much hair I lost every time he combed it. His stylist did a beautiful blow out. I walked out smiling. I will be back next time I will make an appointment so he doesn't miss his lunch. Thank Amir. read more

Super legit hair stylist--I love Amir. He only sells the best products as well. He is great for: Hair straightening Cut Color Style Hair makeover!! He does great work with African American hair--my father has an Afro and Amir is the only person who does his hair. He has great tips for hair upkeep (for lack of better words), style tips for busy mommies on the go, interventions for thinning hair--he's simply amazing!!! He is a trusted hair stylist of ALL ages and ethnicities! read more

The best salon in San Diego. Amir is someone I highly recommend. He does a very good job

I scheduled a facial with Lupita and I can honestly say it was one of the best facials I have ever received. She was gently with my face and concocted an hour long facial that made my face so smooth, soft, and healthy when we were finished. My sister received a facial there and for a good week afterward our skin was still smooth and soft. My skin is constantly battling between acne and eczema and Lupita was able to address all my problem areas and still keep a moisture balance for my skin. Amazing. I am scheduling another appointment with her for sure. The offers at this salon are fantastic. Reasonable prices that are worth the drive from North Park area. Come on...Hour long massages for only $45?? Oh man. It doesn't get better than this. I will definitely have to try their other services here too. read more

So even though my mom's side is Northern Italian and my dad's side is French, I somehow ended up with Chaldean hair =) Most "foo-foo" hair salons are scared of my thick, dark, wavy/curly hair but luckily Amir (owner and master hair designer) is a total pro at my hair type. In fact he complimented me on my hair whereas other salons try to tell me how to change or restrain it. He was absolutely fabulous! Extremely personable, an extremely talented artist, and extremely well qualified to professionally handle all sorts of hair! Ladies w/curls, Amir is your man! No need to travel to La Jolla, Rancho has an amazing stylist! Check him out, the prices are very reasonable but the quality you get is totally top-notch! read more

I left this place because LUPITA left. She's now in El Cajon @ Beauty by Lupita. The people here were rude and treated me like an outsider because I was the only not Caldean person in there. Really felt the cultural stereo type which is a shame because I know plenty of caldean people who are not that way. If it weren't for Lupita I would have never gone in there. I'm glad to still have her services in El Cajon! read more

Great discovery of a barber that performs full service in addition to haircuts including hair-removal from ears, nose, and face. Friendly professional service and very reasonable prices - highly recommended. read more

Finally, I found Amir at Le Prince Salon, a hair dresser who is great with curly fine blonde hair. When new to San Diego, after 3 years of trying three different hairdressers, my hair was completely damaged; dry, brittle and had the sound of crunched straw. About eight years ago, I saw a woman with beautiful curly thick dark brown hair, she shared with me that she went to a Amir, who was a color specialist and also knew how to cut curly hair. I immediately called for an appointment and I have been making the drive from the coast of North County, east to Rancho San Diego ever-since. It is a long drive for me but well worth it because he was able to bring my hair back to a healthy condition. He uses high quality French products on my hair that are non-damaging and actually seem to keep my hair very healthy. In addition, he is up-to-date on the styles and knows how to cut my fine curly hair in a way that complements my face and shape of my head. The staff and other customers have been so nice and warm that every time I leave, I walk out with a happy feeling. I've also observed that he works well with all types of hair including very thick hair. I get a lot of compliments and request for a referral to my hairdresser. This is my first post on Yelp and I enjoyed reading some of the reviews, however, I was concerned that one negative review could be from a competitor, because there was no mention of who took care of her or when she had an appointment. I am so happy I found Amir to keep my hair looking great and I agree with the one reviewer who said Le Prince Salon is the best kept secret in San Diego. read more

Chelsea is amazing and has been doing my hair for years! She always has great suggestions!

I went there on the recommendation of a family member who raved about Amir. The website says that they take walk-in's; well I was a walk - in and no one even said hello or "how can we help you". There were two lady stylist who saw me and not one of them acknowledged. I sat for over 20 minutes while Amir talked in his native language to two gentlemen who came in while I was seated. When they left he turned around and walked to the rear of the salon. That was it for me; I got up and left. It seems that if you walk in you will be ignored. I hope anyone else who takes a chance at being a walk-in is treated with a bit more courtesy than I was. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Just walked in today to inquire about cut/style/highlights since Le Prince's rating on Yelp is strong--, and ended up coming back to have Nicole to do the service. She was so cute and friendly. I brought in a picture and gave her an idea of what I wanted. She did exactly what I wanted-- my hair looks healthy-- well-styled, and I love the face framing highlights. Everything took about 2 hrs (including style)-- and I couldn't be more happy! Great job Nicole-- I'll be back in 2-3 months for more highlights and lowlights :) read more

Best place to go!! Friendly people's and owner! They are very nice people!! Colors, hair cut very smoother!! You should check out. Sometime they on sale. Best to buy than everywhere you go. I brought them shampoo, hairdryer, flat air. Everything good. I've been using this nothing issue. Other store have a lot of issue. You should try it and check out that store. read more

I'm very disappointed with my experience yesterday, I went in to get my hair straightened, I was quoted thirty dollars the day before over the phone. My appointment was at noon with Jako and she was about 20 mins late in taking me. When I went to pay the male who rung me up said forty five dollars! I told him what he quoted me the day before and he said he thought I needed a haircut! ! All she did was blow dry and flat iron my hair. He asked Jako (in another language) something, he then brought it down to 30, so I hand him my card and he says its going to be 40, thats with tip (I tipped five dollars). I left there angry. And to top it off my hair was poofy within 30 minutes. I will never be going back. 40 bucks for a crappy flat iron basically!!! Also she styled it with some sort of tease effect so it was super knotted and I couldn't even comb it thru. read more

I had been looking for a salon who specializes in Hair color in Rancho San Diego. Le Prince was recommended to me by Mr. Cut , a barber shop that my son's as well as my husband has been going to for many years. I was pleasantly suprised by the expertise and knowlege that Amir possessed. He gave me the best haircut all the while explaining to me what he was doing and how it compliments my face. I went back the following week for a threading procedure and he gave me a complimentary hair oil treatment!!! I am now a loyal customer and will recommend him to my friends and family!!! read more

Ok, I read yelp reviews all the time, but have never written a one. But I had to for Le Prince Salon!!! FIRST REVIEW EVER!!!! Because they were so awesome there!! Amir! He is amazing!!!!! Friendly, professional, and does AMAZING work!! I just moved to San Diego and took a chance on the good reviews and try it out, and so happy I did. I had my hair done, up in Northern Cali and the guy jacked it up. It was ombre, but the bottom half was an ugly bronzy color and it was terribly blended. AMIR FIXED IT FOR ME!!!!! My hair looks amazing now!! I have a natural dark brown on top, and now the bottom ombre is this pretty, natural dark carmel brown color and perfectly blended. I LOVE IT!! THANK YOU AMIR!!!! read more

Never thought I would be writing a review for a hair salon. After 20 years in the Navy and very short hair cuts I jumped around trying to find someone who could actually cut hair decent. My wife suggested I try Amir at Le Prince. Amir is not only a nice guy but he is an excellent hair stylist. I would have said barber since that is what I grew up with, but he is a professional and has skills far above your corner barber. He always gives me exactly what I want. He gives me the professional look I need for work and a good style so I look good outside of work. After 5 years of him cutting my hair I have never had a bad experience. read more

Surrena Lovell is the most skilled acupuncturist I've ever met. She's experienced in a variety of complementary health practices, including acupuncture, Chinese medicine, & Ayurveda. She was able to cure a chronic condition I'd endured for years in just TWO quick treatments, and prescribed a dietary regimen based on my own unique constitution. Super friendly & thoroughly professional. Give her a try! read more

Very disappointed, before I had the hair cut I asked Amy to give me a quote to trim my "Undercut bob" she said $15, so I agreed. After the cut, she told me she had to blow dry it because my hair is wavy. I did not ask for additional quote because most of the time wherever I go for hair cut, the most they will add is $5 for the blow dry. I was shock when I asked to pay and she said $35. I never pay anywhere else that the blow dry cost more than the hair cur, considering my hair is very fine & thin. My first time here & will never ever go back again. read more

I want to start by saying...I love this place! I was out and about with my daughter one afternoon...waiting for some work on my car to be completed. I thought I would find a place for both of us to get a mani/pedi. Le Prince was open, so I thought I would see if they had space available for both of us. They immediately made both of us feel not only welcome, but like we were long lost relatives. We were offered refreshments while we waited and the mani/pedis given were wonderful. We were given the royal treatment. The owner, Amir, and all of the stylists all introduced themselves and came by to talk with both me and my daughter. The prices were reasonable and I left knowing I had found a new place to take my tired hands and feet. However, the story doesn't end there. We went back a month later to have our fingers and toes attended to again by Jenny who my daughter and I adore. While there the aesthetician Lupita looked at my daughter's skin and gave me a coupon to have her come in for a special pre-teen facial. She is a lovely woman. My daughter also got her hair cut and styled by Marina who showed her how to style her own hair every day. I just feel special when I walk in and beautiful and special when I walk out. I can honestly say I have never enjoyed such spectacular customer service at a salon before and I will continue to go to Le Prince for my salon needs. Once you walk in the door, you become family. read more

When I first moved to San Diego I had no idea where to get my hair done. I had received a couple of recommendations, but I was not pleased with either of them. My son had heard of Le Prince Salon and thought that would be a good place to try. He was right. The owner, Amir Gordo, was perfect. Not only did he make me feel welcome, but I felt he would do a good job. Amir made several suggestions that he thought would improve the style and also the color of my hair. When he finished I couldn't have been more pleased. I went shopping right after I got my hair done and received several compliments as to how nice my hair looked. I knew then that Amir was the hairstylist I was looking for. I have been going to him for 13 years now and definitely feel a part of the family. Also, I still get many compliments on my hair. Needless to say, this was a win/win situation for me. So if anyone is looking for a great hairstylist, try Amir. I am sure you will be as pleased as I have been all these years. Honestly, this was one of the worst haircuts I've ever had. After the haircut, my bangs were super crooked and my layers were beyond unruly. Actually, I had to go home and fix it myself. The pictures I posted on here are of my hair about a week and a half after I received the haircut. Now, I'm not really all that crucial about how my hair ends up since it's long and has great texture once I flat iron it. After this haircut, however, I ended up with hair that was about 4 inches shorter than I had asked for it to be. I had simply asked for a short trim just to fix up my dead ends but in the end it turned out to be about 5 inches shorter than I actually wanted to be including the 1 inch that I had asked to be trimmed. The girl that cut my hair had an odd technique. I couldn't quite explain it and have never seen another hairstyles do the same thing before. I expressed that I was not very happy with the haircut in general but I was afraid she would cut more off and I really didn't want that. Will I return to this salon? Hells no! Don't go there unless you want to walk out with a bad haircut. I would rather go to fantastic Sam's or the haircut store any day. read more

This review is for Surrena Lovelle, Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist of Le Prince Salon and Day Spa. Recently I was in desperate need of a truly therapeutic massage to relieve tension and stress. I've had quite a few massages in my life but Surrena was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST by far!! I found out she's been a massage therapist for over 13 years and I could tell. From beginning to end she put compassion and skill into my treatment. I went in feeling anxious, stressed, irritable and I left feeling like jello. I had a 90 minute massage and it was so wonderful. She used a nice warming, scented oil that she explained the properties of during the treatment. She worked out all my knots, used other techniques (maybe energetically because I felt myself calming down too) and at the end used a hot towel to rub my back and legs. I want to go back NOW but I work alot. Anyway, from here on out she's my massage therapist and I'm thrilled to find her! read more

While the end result of my haircut was acceptable, you need to watch out for all of the extra costs. They advertise a $15 hair cut for new clients. I made the mistake of not asking the costs for additional services (such as the shampoo, blow-dry / style). The shampooing was an additional $5 (okay, I get that). When the stylist asked if I wanted my hair blow dried I said a little was fine but I was going to go home to walk the dog then go to bed so I just needed it dried a bit. I don't know if it was a communication gap or what but she dried my hair and styled it slightly. My style is nothing complex, straight w/ sides angles. That blow dry / style session was an additional $25! Glad I didn't bother to wash my hair the next morning before going to work! I called the salon today for clarification of the cost. While they were nice and offered t "make it right" I would not feel comfortable going in again - do not want to be viewed as being critical but wanted to share the tip to really delve into the extra costs that add up. read more
