The guy messed up my nails by scuffing them up. I wish I would have worn my glasses in because I would have stopped him if I saw the damage. (I was holding my baby and he would of pulled my glasses off). I stopped in this place because the review said they give great massages. That may have been their experience but it definitely wasn't mine. He did rub my legs some but nothing noteworthy. When I came in a couple were getting pedicures and I watched them have a different experience. Perhaps they paid for a service not on the sheet I was shown. I guess I should have said clear for the color because I replied no color which left me with unpainted nails. They look horrible. I'm so dissatisfied. read more

I went in and got a pedicure. I asked for the $75 one, which is $90 if you get gel. This service is 1 hour 15 mins. It includes a basic pedicure sea salt massage, hot stones, callous remover, paraffin wax and I believe one more thing. She removed my gel polish and immediately started the massage portion. It lasted an hour. That part was amazing. Then she went to paint my toes. I asked if she could please cut my toenails since she had not. She said ok and did. I asked when she would do the callus remover and she said she did. And said no, you did not scrub my feet. She stated she wrapped them. The wrap is different than the callous scrub. I said you never did the cuticles either. The tech next to her was trying to help. We were talking quietly back and forth. But I explained that she had not done my cuticles or filed them. You could just look and see. The owner, I believe, came over to help as well. She said I didn't need the callus remover so she didn't do it even if it is included. I asked about the basic pedicure portion and she said her tech didn't know and didn't understand what I wanted. She started to do my cuticles but was upset and nipped my toe so stopped and got up and walked away. I paid for the gel removal and nice massage. But it was just very uncomfortable so I left. I have been there before and never had issues. read more

So, the staff is welcoming. Wait was not long. Prices are ABSURD! Gel manicure natural nails $28... eyebrow wax $10. Gel basic ( and oh boy do I mean basic) pedicure with gel polish $37!!!! WTH Prices should be something like this Eyebrows should be no more than $8, gel manicure always 25. A regular pedicure where they do the bare minimum no more than $20. Gel polish can be $5 to $10... not an extra 17..I received no paffrin, or callus treatment, regular lotion. No hot towel, hot rocks nada. What is this a 3rd world country?? They do put plastic disposable covers over the pedi bowl that I love. Very sanitary. They don't offer a drink or a bottle of water, nada. No one put my massage chair on. Or asked. Sigh.. honestly if I hadn't worn sandals and needed my toes done I would have left. Never ever again. My nails and toes are decent. But not worth the price.. this isn't even San Diego. This is Santee! Sheesh. Then the woman who did my manicure rushed up front when it was time for me to pay, standing by me waiting for a tip. Which I had planned to give $2 because she seemed newer than the others. Having to ask how to apply gel top coat and the matte finish. But do you have to hover like that! The woman who did my feet said rudely " have a good day," while staring me down because I didn't give her a tip. This tip stuff is out of hand. First off a tip is for great service!! Not an automatic extra for doing the job I'm already paying you to do! Smdh. And it's already over priced. yeah right buddy NEVER AGAIN. Oh and everyone that was there on a busy Saturday was 40 and up. Except the maybe 2 teens that accompanied their mom. Not able to do designs as they should. read more

I came in just to remove my dip manicure and to get my nails cut. Annie was the one who assisted me. She was kind at first letting me know I would be next. As she was removing my dip, I felt like she was being way too aggressive with her automatic tool and asked if it would be better to soak my nail first. She said no and that she wasnt touching my nail layer. Ive gotten my acrylic and dip nails removed before and they never just drilled it off the way she did. She said in an angry tone that if I did my way I would sit in the chair for 30 minutes+. I then said OK if you're saying you aren't taking my nail layer off, we can do it that way. She then had a tantrum and threw my hands in the bowl and walked away to grab a bite. I waited five minutes until she came back to get her phone and then said i was confused on what was going on. She then said i thought you wanted to soak which I then said I didn't need to after she explained the process. She finished my nails quickly and didn't even file my nails nicely. I paid $15 for this service which I probably would only pay $7-$10 elsewhere. Please avoid Annie if you come here or beware that she's snappy if you have any questions. read more

Luxi Nails - It was another day at Lux nails!! I absolutely love Lux !!! I had Annie to do my nails and oh man, she did a wonderful job. - Nail Salons Near Me - Santee, California

Yeah pretty disappointed in this place. I came here because my nail place I usually go to didn't open till ten and I saw their lights were on and door open. People were already getting their nails done when I walked in at 9:40 I asked if they were open to double check they said yes. I got a pedicure and gel manicure the pedicure looks great no complaints there and they were super quick which I liked. But this was probably the worst manicure I have ever had. My nails are crooked and she didn't even touch my cuticles, not a push back or anything.never asked what shape I wanted and got this kind of in between one. I never knew what I was paying the whole time, was never offered any options. When they asked if I wanted to pay card or cash they told me the price was 49$ which is about 15$ less than what I normally pay so ok. But then when she charged my card it said 50$. Ok? I guess it's only a dollar difference. I normally get my nails done every two weeks so this was less than ideal. read more

I always hate coming to this place because even if you make an appointment, they don't honor it. But my mom thought she liked it so we got the European pedicures, as did my sister. We made appointments for 4:15 and we're all able to sit down together. They started on my mom and sister while I waited for 30 minutes for them to get to me.... They kept saying just a couple more minutes while they were taking other walk ins and sitting them right down to do their nails. After finally having someone come over to do my toes, she took 2 different phone calls, and started scrubbing my feet with a small nail file? Everything was very rushed as both my mom and sister were almost done while she had just started me. Overall very unprofessional and a waste of time! Never coming back. read more

Great pedicure! We walked in and waited only about 10 minutes which is great. The location is big and has 8 chairs. Very accommodating.

EHhh-Ok...This is a pretty popular place, it's always busy, I came in on a Saturday for a pedicure and didn't have to wait at all. The spa pedicure chairs are on the older side, they roll and vibrate but are not as nice as the newer models. They gave me options to upgrade my pedi but there was no preasure. The massage was really good and my toes turned out nice too. This is a Vietnamese run shop so comminication is a little hindered but I felt taken care of. Decor left somthing to be desired, but I'm not there for the art work. Tips cant be added to a credit card so bring cash, they have an ATM on site, I think the fees were about $2.00 read more

I've been coming here for a while with my MIL. I have always enjoyed coming here, all of the ladies are very friendly. I love that they always greet you with a friendly face and once you've been a few times you are a loyal costumer! I like that this place is very clean, nobody wants dingy nail place to get their nails done at. Although I miss my acrylics and gel mani's the pedicures will do for now! Tiffany is great at designs and she will let you know what's fashionable at the moment. Now that I'm am no logger a hip person in my early 20's, I need to extra help on what is move nowadays! Like I mentioned before this is the only place I will go here in Santee because it's the place to go. I kid you not, nor widen than not this place is busy but thankfully these ladies do work and get this done fast! Thanks ladies for another great pedi! read more

I walked in for mani/pedi. I signed in and waited as requested. Totally cool. Another woman walked in asking for specific person to do the same. Bc she knew the lady, she got right in. After waiting for up to 30 mins to get my mani/pedi done. This is so uncool. I understand taking care of returning clientele however what about new clients? read more

I came in for a fill. "Miley" kept insisting my previous set was bad, she would make them look very nice She said they'd be more natural, thinner, and that they'd look perfect. She said I should not get powder glitter that I should get polish. She not only completely switched the color but also left my nails looking rediculously clumpy and completely unnatural. I had acrylics in the past and they damaged my nails pretty badly, so when I went in and Vicky told me about dip powder and how they can do it on natural nails I had to try it, and I now get it everytime I get my nails done! I usually get my nails done once a month with the dip because the process of changing the color is a bit more extensive than normal acrylic powder. read more

Nice large clean salon. Good service. I have only been here once so far and it's pretty likely I'll visit again soon. Loved my pedicure. Gorgeous interior looks like you're in a castle, beautiful art, comfy chairs, great location. I think the salon needs a receptionist. It would perhaps help free up the workers' time with them answering cell phones? Other than that they deserve five stars! Super nice and skilled. read more

Just got done with my pedicure with Annie. I've been going to crystals for many many years and finally decided I needed to go somewhere else after several sub par experiences. I have visited lux 3 times before , just never found someone to make me stick! But Annie was it. She is so sweet and listens to exactly what you want. I'm pregnant , swollen, and tired all around but she made me so relaxed and have a wonderful experience. Annie chatted with me the whole time and nothing was uncomfortable. She's just really nice and helpful. I changed my mind twice about colors , and she happily obliged and gave me the color samples. I hate lazy nail designs , but she gave me something great yet simple and I felt happy to pay the $5 for design fee. I will be making all my appointments with her from here on out. Thanks Annie ! read more

I've been coming to this salon for a couple years. I don't do my nails often but this place was always on my list of places to go to. My most recent visit here was on Mother's Day. I got a basic gel manicure and pedicure. When the lady was doing my manicure she clipped a chunk of my skin then proceeded to dowse it with nail glue, which seemed very unsanitary to me. As I was getting my pedicure done the guy cuts halfway down the side of my big toenail. I think he realized that there was no need to cut because if he would've kept pulling my nail it would've reached the part of my nail that is connected to my skin. After pulling the nail out he cleaned it with his tool which is where I believe things got worse for me. I woke up the next morning to a swollen toe and pus coming out of it. For the next couple days I would try to dig it out myself, the pus and irritation remained. I finally had to go to urgent care to have them pull out the remaining nail and to prescribe antibiotics. Moral of the story, be careful what salon you choose to go to. As someone who was in beauty school I know the people who get certified and license in this industry, know the importance of a clean, work environment , as well as the tools that they use. I'm sure some of us may know that salons like this one don't use the safe practices that they should be using. read more
