Took my daughter for a pedicure this morning. Before the appointment started, she clearly told the nail tech she wanted a basic French tip pedicure with regular polish. He asked if she wanted gel or regular, she said regular. During the pedicure, he asked her again not once but twice, and each time she confirmed regular polish. Despite this, he used gel anyway and then charged her $50 instead of the $30 he originally quoted. When she questioned the price, he told her it was because she received a gel manicure, which she never asked for. He then offered her a $5 discount, and on top of that, suggested she should come in for a manicure next time. Completely tone deaf. I told the front desk that it wasn't my daughter's responsibility to pay for a mistake she clearly tried to avoid. His response? "I gave her $5 off and that's the best I can do." I thanked him and let him know I'd be leaving a review. So here it is. 10/10 would not go back. read more

Went in and did nottttt get what I asked for, but I went an hour before closing so I still paid for the service. The application was great but the design was completely different. I waited almost two weeks to get a fill, and they charged me the exact same amount as getting a full new set done. It was $80 for the first set I got and they charged me another $80 for a SLIGHT fill and frenchies. I would have just got a whole new set if I would've known bc the base color wasn't even what I wanted. I wanted tan and he did them pink. If I would've known they would be the same price for less than half the work/time it took I would've removed them myself and got a whole new Set. I have been going to this nail salon for over a year now for pedicures. Initially I had saw the bad reviews but I had no bad experience at all. Until about a month ago, I went in to get a pedicure and they cut my nail and gave me and ingrown toenail + infection. It's been a month and my toenail isn't any better, and it's filled with pus. I had a really bad experience here recently. I was in a hurry and decided not to wait for my usual nail tech (who always does an amazing job). Instead, I was put with Kim in spot #3. I told her clearly that I didn't want acrylic because of school, and she said she would do gel. But then she started applying a super thick gel that looked and felt just like acrylic. When I told her I needed them thin, she got irritated and said she would file them. While filing, she broke my natural nails, and instead of helping, she got upset and started speaking in her language even though she could have explained to me in English. It felt unprofessional and honestly disrespectful. She told me she "wasn't doing thin nails" and blamed it on them breaking, even though I always get thin nails with my regular tech without any problem. She then passed me off to the tech in the front who's always on the phone. That tech cut me while filing, and even after trying to fix the mess, the nails still looked horrible. And now, only three days later, the gel/paint is already peeling and lifting. For the price I paid, they should not be falling apart this fast. Overall, this was a very disappointing and stressful experience. I paid, but I definitely feel I didn't receive quality service, and I won't go back unless it's to my regular tech. read more

The service here is very unprofessional. For gel x removals they literally just rip it off your nail. I came into wanting a gel x removal and gel manicure. I also had a nail injury on my pinky nail that would basically make total gel removal difficult due to the pain. I don't know if this gel x removal method is standard or not because I am used to having it sanded or soaked off, but the nail tech named May basically started using an acrylic nail tip to forcefully wedge it between my natural nail and the gel x, and pry it off my nail. This can't be good for nails because it's literally ripping it off the natural nail. She also used the sharp point of the cuticle nipper tool to try to forcefully separate the gel from my natural nail at the tip of my finger. Due to the force, the sharp point of the cuticle trimmer slipped in her hand and stabbed the tip of my finger which was obviously painful. Also due to her basically forcing the tool to separate the gel from the nail, she broke and cracked the tips of 4 of my natural nails. I originally had wanted to keep some of the length in order to use builder gel or regular gel over my natural nails, but it was clear that the tips were too badly broken to maintain any of the length that I had grown out. I would also like to add that she used the "ripping the gel off " technique on my injured pinky, and when I told her that it hurt, she still tried to use that acrylic nail tip to peel off the gel. After I told her again that it hurt, she tried sanding it down but even that was too painful so I just told her to leave it like that. Her ripping off the extensions was really painful and thankfully my nails were pretty healthy, but I can't imagine if someone came in with weak, overfiled nail beds, and brittle nails. This technique could literally rip out huge chunks of nail! At this point I just wanted a regular manicure without gel, and the regular manicure comes with trim and cuticle removal, regular polish, cuticle oil, and a massage. However I only received the trim and cuticle removal and nothing else in that package. No polish, no cuticle oil, no massage. Even as she was trimming my nails, they were all different lengths and even shapes too. She had to cut some of my nails shorter than others due to her literally cracking my nail tip so deep that my nail had to be cut sooo short. She had originally cut my nails in a square shape but I asked multiple times if she could round it out. She only rounded out two nails, and the rest are still square shaped. At this point I had been there for a while and I was over it, so I just decided to pay for the service. She tried to charge me $40?!?! I thought that seemed very excessive considering the services I had come in for were pretty basic. I went up to the lady at the front and asked how the services totaled up to $40 because I was confused. Then the lady and the nail tech were going back and forth in Vietnamese, so I just picked up the brochure to see what the prices were for each service. That's when I saw that the removal was only $5 and the regular manicure was $25. I have no idea where the other $10 came from, especially since I didn't even receive over half the services within the regular manicure. Thankfully the lady at the front charged me $30 which is still a lot, but it's better than $40. I am not usually the type to complain, but this experience was pretty painful and it did not meet my expectations at all even when I asked her to revise her work. I totally understand that she wasn't able to fully remove the gel from my injured pinky which I didn't expect her to do, but the quality of the work for my other nails was subpar. I wouldn't come back again or recommend anyone else go through the pain. read more

Came here because my friend frequents this nail shop. I had a design in mind and showed my nail guy and he did a phenomenal job. I absolutely loved my nails and knew I was going to spend close to $100 dollars. I had gotten a pedicure and let my daughter get her nails done and wasn't expecting for her nails to be so pricey. I should have asked before letting her do her thing. But she loves her nails also! Everyone was nice enough. I booked an appt the day before for 2 pedicures and it's a really nice salon. The lady's definitely don't understand what u want and try to upsell you so make sure you're very clear on what you want. We had to tell her like 4/5 times bc she kept asking or trying to say to do the one that costs more. I paid $70 for all white gel pedi but I did the deluxe package, there's cheaper options. She didn't say why she did it or apologize and I didn't have an ingrown toenail to begin with. It is now swollen and very painful. I walked into Luxe at 6PM on 3/8/25, I don't leave reviews often but I felt this was necessary. It was at night so I didn't notice until I got home at how poorly they painted my nails. They painted over dust from filing the acrylics I had on off, gel on my skin, and one of my nails wasn't cured properly which is a HEALTH HAZARD. Paid $43 dollars and even tipped 20%. I'd like to highlight that uncured gel can cause skin irritation, allergic reactions... and not even making sure before curing that there isn't gel on the skin shows such disregard for people's health. It is one thing to paint horribly but another to allow people to walk out of the salon with uncured nails. If it wasn't at night, I would've noticed. Hello, I came to your shop 11/15 at 9:00a to do a pedicure & manicure. As the manicure was being done the woman doing it wasn't really understanding what I wanted. So I didn't catch the gals name who did my nails but she is a bit heavy set. as she was doing my pedicure I was thinking okay.. 3 stars. But when I found out I paid 50$ for a 20 minute pedicure. Ya no... 1 Star. Her massage sucked. She didn't even do a good job. She didn't ask how I wanted my nails shaped so she made the round and ugly. I could have easily gone to the store and bought gel nail polish and done the job she did for 40$ cheaper. Super upset as I don't always get my nails done so this was a treat for me and she rushed the entire thing. I don't get why nails salons rush. We are paying customers. I love this place. Staff is nice and so is the manager. Last month I walked in to get my fill and I have acrylic overlay, (I am usually charged $40-45 for this service). I had square shaped nails, I asked for a little change coffin shape. And my nails were nude with black lines on the edge. I liked them. When I went over to pay, I was charged $63. My jaw almost dropped, but inside I was like what the heck, I didn't get a fresh set!! So I paid and left a $5 tip. So my total ended up being $67. I have been coming to this place since January of this year and once in a while last year. Honestly, I think this was too much. I paid for a full not a fresh set and the full price is around $40-$45. I would've understood if it was around $45-$47. But $63! It's a bit ridiculous. This place got too pricey and as much as I love this place, I won't be coming back. First photo is the result of the hand he "finished" before I got up and left because he ripped out a literal chunk of my nail. Do yourself a favor and do not go here. Due to their method of "removal" and reviews from a few others I suspect they use MMA which is illegal in California. Edited to add a recent photo of my nail one week after the initial incident. I was talked out of gel color by the tech who would be doing my nails (Liz) and she told me how great powder was in comparison, cost the same but did a better job. I asked if I will be able to change the colors easily and she said I would have no problem - that it was the exact same as gel. I paid $80 for this full set and I just told myself that nails just cost that much these days. This evening 2/17, I go to get a fill. I choose my colors and a different tech told me I would not be able to change colors unless I went darker due to the colors I had chosen previously. Had I know any of this, I would have stuck to my original plan of gel. Instead of taking accountability for their mistake and their tech's error in not being honest they just continued to say how they don't tell people that info unless they ask and that I must have not understood. There was no misunderstanding, I was misled and lied to so that tech could make an extra buck. Now I will have to get these nails removed and start from scratch. read more

He was quick and the shape and sharpness I have been looking for was perfect. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because he burned me a few times.
