Someone recommended this salon to me. They were jammed packed on Friday at 10am. Wow! I had a gel mani and gel pedi. For the gel mani, the tech working on my nails was a bit too fast and she sort of worked in a rush. Once she was done with the gel mani, she was about to start massaging my hands with the lotion. I told her I would like to wash my hands before. But she was pushy and did not want me to. I had to tell her 3 times, no, I want to wash my hands and get rid of all the nail filing dust and then she could finish with the lotion and hand massage. She was not pleased and I asked if she was ok? And her and the guy sort of talked back and forth to each other in front of me. I washed my hands and she finished. I was completely dissatisfied with that experience. I received a gel mani and the service with the tech was outstanding. She paid attention to detail, asked if I needed anything, and we had pleasant conversation. She was very nice and friendly, patient, and I did not feel she was rushing the job. I went today and one of the lady's cut my toe. I had told her I was a diabetic, please be careful. She was very rough! She kept watching people her mind was not on her job like it should be. She cut my toe! Ouch!! She kept putting some powder in my toe, but it still bled. Then she went and got nail glue and I thought she was gluing a nail back on but she put it all over my toe to stop the bleeding, "I'm a diabetic, I TOLD HER STOP, I CAN GET AN INFECTION!" I went to cashier to tell them. An albino Asian started yelling at me like it was my fault! He said in a loud voice in front of all the people there..."you should have yelled out!" I said, I told the lady working there, who was right next to me what happened and the lady who was doing my gel, now the cashier, what more can I do? He kept blaming me in an angry voice, saying, "You should have yelled out to someone!" I said, "Ok!" I said, "Ok" because he continued to treat me terrible I was the one hurt here, she was awful and So was the Asian white guy and I recieved no apology at all! Reading some of these reviews, I feel like everyone has unrealistic expectations. They expect quiet spa vibes but you should be able to walk in whenever and pay the same reasonable price. That's not David's nails; at David's you get the service you asked for timely, good quality, and at a great price. I think most people prefer that and that's why it's always busy despite some of these reviews. My wife and I come here regularly; she gets a full set or fill and I hang out and get a pedicure. Yes, it's always busy. Yes, they have a strict time schedule and are focused on getting you in, getting your service, getting you out satisfied, and for a reasonable price. I've never been disappointed even once. Now granted I'm former military-I love the efficiency. I love the feeling when you go in, you know they are working to get you in, out, and off on your way with the services you requested. David is usually there and he is a fantastic person. He takes his shop seriously and is managing multiple people at once; be nice to him and he's nice back. Come in with an attitude and you'll get that same energy back. You let him know there's a problem he'll focus on fixing it, but if you're the problem he will stick up for his people. I love David's, so does my wife, so do all of his regulars. I have been coming to this salon for at least 10 times and have always had good experiences--until today. Unfortunately, the way I was treated today was completely unacceptable, and I left the salon in tears. I requested a basic $15 pedicure with white polish. I clearly said several times that I did not want gel, but the technician repeatedly pressured me to get gel because he said it was better and dried faster. During the pedicure, he was extremely aggressive while clipping my toenails and actually clipped the skin on my big toe. It stung, and I had to check to make sure I wasn't bleeding. He then began speaking Vietnamese with another employee while they appeared to be discussing me. The other employee was rolling her eyes during the conversation. I couldn't understand what they were saying, but I felt very uncomfortable and disrespected. The polish was another problem. He applied layer after layer of white polish--at least four or five coats. It was visibly thick, clumpy and uneven. He even appeared to recognize there was a problem with the brush, yet instead of removing the polish and starting over, he continued adding more. When he came back to apply clear polish, I told him I wasn't comfortable with the amount of polish already on my toes. He grabbed my foot aggressively and told me to sit still and let him finish. At that point, I told him he was being unprofessional, to keep his hands off me and not touch me again. I went to the manager and explained everything. His response was simply, "I'll have a talk with him." Another customer actually spoke up and said that wasn't good enough and that the technician should apologize to me. Instead, the manager told me to go over and tell the technician to apologize to me myself. I was extremely upset and felt completely dismissed. this was an albino Asian guy with red hair at the cash register. I then had to use their ATM because I was told they only accepted cash, and I was charged a $3 ATM fee. I paid $20 And I was given back three dollars for the ATM fee, which was acceptable but I left with a pedicure that had multiple thick, clumpy layers of polish and no clear coat. No one offered to fix my feet. No one told me that I'm sorry no one said anything to make things right all the insisted on was getting paid. What hurt the most was seeing the owner, whom I have seen many times before. He witnessed the entire situation and saw how upset I was, but he never came over, never asked if I was okay, and never apologized. He simply looked at me and looked away. I'm sorry, but I raised my voice. I yelled and told him that he was a poor businessman and didn't know to handle his business the correct way for his customers and I would never be back. Other customers even spoke up because they could see that I was being treated unfairly. This wasn't about getting a perfect pedicure. It was about being respected as a customer. I clearly said what service I wanted, and I should not have been pressured, spoken about in front of me, handled aggressively, or dismissed when I complained. After being a loyal customer and having many good experiences here, I am extremely disappointed. I drove home crying because I was so angry of how I was treated. The lack of concern from the manager and owner was the most disappointing part of the entire experience. I will not be returning. read more

Not my usual spot -- and now I remember why I visited Nails by David with my daughter, who was excited to go. The place was packed and loud -- not the relaxing vibe you'd hope for at a nail salon. You line up, get pointed to a chair, and the whole process feels more like a DMV than a pampering experience. What really stuck with me was the owner's behavior. I watched him loudly reprimand employees in front of customers -- not once, but repeatedly. It was uncomfortable and frankly unprofessional. Everyone deserves respect, especially in a service environment. The payment system added to the confusion. After a pedicure, you get a paper. After a manicure, you get a different paper. I didn't realize my daughter's pedicure was still in progress when I went to pay, and the cashier insisted I pay for it immediately. It felt more transactional than thoughtful. Kindness goes a long way in any business. Sadly, that warmth seems to have faded here over the years. I usually go to other salons that offer a more welcoming and organized experience. Bait N Switch! My wife and I went in for pedicures. They asked us which service we wanted, #1, #2 or #3. I pointed to #2 and said verbally #2 When they were finished they handed us the slip of paper for the charge of #3 = $40.00 When I questioned her about it, she poured to the clock and said she spent the amount of time for #3. Since David is no longer around his employees the ones who do pedis are rude and quick and don't care what kind of job they do. I know it's a cheap price but that's what they offer and that's what I should get. There are a couple gals who you can tell are talking and laughing about you while they work. I went in for my usual gel pedicure and got a new tech who did almost nothing -- no scrubbing, no cuticle work, no care at all. She clipped my nails, rubbed my legs for maybe two seconds, and said she was done. I wasn't even in the chair for 12 minutes. When I asked her to scrub my heels (which is always included), she refused. After I asked for help, she tried to use a nail file on my feet -- and when I pulled away, she grabbed my legs to stop me from leaving. I went to David himself to explain, and instead of apologizing or fixing it, he pointed to the door and told me to leave. These were supposed to be my bridal toes, and I left heartbroken. I've been coming here for years and I love the place. I used to love the place I do not anymore. I wish David was sitting in that chair again watching how stuff goes down. I've done reviews with five stars. I've always said some people are good. some people are not so good. They'll move you and you'll get the right person. This place has gone to shit and they overcharged me because they were mad. That's the bottom line. $45 for a regular full set with no nothing else. Normally I paid 30 to 35 max this is ridiculous. This salon is the RUDEST in town. I've never been talked to so rudely. They won't give you a time frame for service and when you repeatedly request a time frame for service they very rudely say "how are you supposed to put a time frame on a service". I politely said "you don't have to talk to me so rudely, and I've never heard of a salon that can't put a time frame on a service". The man with a grey man bun said "you don't like my tone but you keep coming back". I will never step foot into that salon again. It's a money laundering sweat shop. The employees get bussed in by the owner first thing in the morning and are not paid a livable wage. Their tips are taken by whomever is running the front. Billy did a great job on my nails. Very kind and quick. A full set with gel was $35. I had cuts on 8 of 10 cuticle beds. The man doing my pedicure seemed more interested in talking with his younger coworker than doing the pedicure. The pedicure guy was frustrated that I chose regular polish instead of gel and said "it's just $15 more". He was upset that I was in the chair longer because of the drying time. The most hectic experience I've ever experienced. Stressed out of my mind. We went for my best friends wedding to get hers done and all of the bridesmaids. The bride was so overwhelmed and stressed. They started doing acrylic on her and she never asked for it. And didn't even shape hers nails nicely. Raised voices at one of the bridesmaids. They were literally on their hands and knees doing the girls toes, like dogs. Just an insane experience. MY FAVORITE pedicurist is bebe( hopefully thats how she spells it) she does the best massages , cleans up your cuticles so well, as well as perfect french tip. my favorite nail tech for hand acrylic is Vivian,(bebe daughter) she is fast, hand paints extraordinary well, she is a perfectionist and it shows in her work. I got my nails done here back when I went to prom because it was the closest to my house, and it was awful. This was also my first time getting my nails done since I was 8 years old. The guy who did them didn't seem to speak english in the slightest, he just kept rudely gesturing towards things expecting me to know what he wanted and looking mad that I had no idea what he was doing. He literally was throwing my hands towards where he wanted me to put them and kept looking pissed off. He made every single one of my fingers bleed like crazy since he aggressively ripped away my cuticles and he changed the color I picked to a different one (again aggressively gesturing to a different color after I'd tried to pick one). I had a disappointing experience with the owner. I came in regarding a broken nail I had got them done the week prior, and he repeatedly asked who had done them and which chair I was sitting at. I told him I wasn't sure of the employee's name and thought it may have been chair 14 or 16. Instead of helping me, he became visibly upset and spoke to me with an attitude. We were greeted by David and were informed to sit down immediately. We weren't told how long, just sit and wait. We finally got to our chairs for the pedicures -- but we were separated by one person in between my two friends and myself, had they waited two more minutes, we could've all sat together. My nail tech was excellent for the most part, but it felt like she was rushing in comparison to my last experience. Gel manicure & pedicures chip/lift within a week of getting them done. After your pedicure they have you walk across the floors with no sandals offered to get your toes painted in the middle area where the workers are literally sitting on the floor. Has anyone here gone to David Lee's Nails on Tully Road? I'm asking because I've been there four times now, and each time I leave more uncomfortable than the last. I honestly can't stand the way the owner, David, treats both his nail techs and his customers. Today, my youngest daughter wanted to get her nails done. She asked if we could go there because, despite everything, they're fast and she just wanted to be in and out. When we arrived, as usual, it was packed. There's a gentleman who usually greets customers when they walk in--I don't know his name, but it seems he may have special needs. He asked what we needed, and I politely told him my daughter wanted a pedicure and a full set. I also asked if it was possible to have the tech at station #8 (they number their manicure tables, if you haven't been). As I was talking to him, David--the owner--interrupted and abruptly told me, "Go outside." I was confused and asked if he was speaking to me. Again, he just said, "Go outside." Louder this time. I said, "I know you're not telling me to go outside like I'm some kind of dog." He never asked how he could help or offered any professional courtesy. Instead, he continued raising his voice and repeating "Go outside" without explanation. It was hot, crowded, and he gave no reason for the treatment. A professional way to handle the situation would've been to let customers know they're busy and offer a timeframe to return. That's how you run a respectful business. Unfortunately, this isn't my only bad experience there. The first time I went, he was popping fireworks inside the salon--no warning at all. Everyone was startled, but one young woman was so terrified she ran outside screaming, thinking someone was shooting. David didn't apologize to her or anyone. He constantly yells at his employees, often in a language many of us don't understand, and he even times them while they're working, creating an uncomfortable and tense environment. I really believe this kind of behavior is not okay--and it shouldn't be acceptable in a place that depends on community support. Has anyone else had a similar experience? read more

I'm so sad! Took my daughter in to have some "me time" and was shuffled around like cattle. My nail tech was in a hurry and rushed through the whole process. The polish she used was thick and tacky but she didn't want to exchange it out for another one. "It will look better once I put on the clear coat" She plopped on the top coat which left a whole bunch of bubbles and then after fixing one of my nails because the color was drooping off because of the thickness she just smoothed it over with her finger and then plopped another coat. I let her know I wasn't happy and she was like "it's what you wanted" and walked away. When getting a pedicure they don't use any bags they spray a disinfectant and then quickly wipe it down. Anyone knows in order for a disinfectant to work you have to let it sit for at least 10 sec. David has affordable prices but is it really worth it? read more

Don't waste your money... pay more somewhere else and get better service!! 1st Le tried to charge me $5 extra because she thought I had gel on my toes and I didn't. Once I told her I did not have gel she got mad and was rude the remainder of my pedicure. She did not massage my legs with lotion and argued with me that she did. Never again will I come here. Anytime you ask them for something specific on your nails they say no because your nails are too short or you ask them to cut your nails down they say no it won't match the other nails. I found this review in my drafts from 2 years ago so i'm choosing to post it because it's relevant to the way they conduct business still to this day. I visited the spa side because my objective was to relax and be pampered, instead of the usual quick in and out. I chose the $40 super spa pedicure. Now, i have to add that I've been here multiple times for the $40 super spa pedicure and they've never used the 2nd sugar scrub product, or the hot rocks nor the paraffin wax like it says is included on the price pamphlet. also my massage has never been even more than 10minutes when it's suppose to be 25minutes. well this time i made sure to express that im in no rush, id like to to enjoy my pedicure quietly as im here to relax. Once again this visit was the same, lady totally rushed, used no hot rocks, no parafin, no sugar scrub. I also chose to set a timer to see how long of a message she gave me... it was 7min 41sec out of the 25:00mins i was paying for. These people working here are so crooked and greedy, totally made every pedicure experience unpleasant. Receipt was wrote out to the full price of $40 super spa pedicure, when really she serviced me for a halfazz basic $25 pedicure... Literally the WORST pedicure in town. No really, look it up. They are ranked the worst! They are all about cheap and fast service. NOT quality! They are more worried about getting the most amount of customers in the door rather than giving 5 star service. Pff, even 3 star service! First they expected me to walk across their disgusting floor barefoot! (I refused) And then after she washed and trimmed my toe nails she had to go sit in a manicure chair to do the gel portion. I'm sorry, part of the pedicure experience is relaxing in the massaging chair. This was wildly unsanitary and unprofessional and zero percent relaxing.
