Bait N Switch! My wife and I went in for pedicures. They asked us which service we wanted, #1, #2 or #3. I pointed to #2 and said verbally #2 When they were finished they handed us the slip of paper for the charge of #3 = $40.00 When I questioned her about it, she poured to the clock and said she spent the amount of time for #3. I've been coming here for years and I love the place. I used to love the place I do not anymore. I wish David was sitting in that chair again watching how stuff goes down. I've done reviews with five stars. I've always said some people are good. some people are not so good. They'll move you and you'll get the right person. This place has gone to shit and they overcharged me because they were mad. That's the bottom line. $45 for a regular full set with no nothing else. Normally I paid 30 to 35 max this is ridiculous. Not my usual spot -- and now I remember why I visited Nails by David with my daughter, who was excited to go. The place was packed and loud -- not the relaxing vibe you'd hope for at a nail salon. You line up, get pointed to a chair, and the whole process feels more like a DMV than a pampering experience. What really stuck with me was the owner's behavior. I watched him loudly reprimand employees in front of customers -- not once, but repeatedly. It was uncomfortable and frankly unprofessional. Everyone deserves respect, especially in a service environment. The payment system added to the confusion. After a pedicure, you get a paper. After a manicure, you get a different paper. I didn't realize my daughter's pedicure was still in progress when I went to pay, and the cashier insisted I pay for it immediately. It felt more transactional than thoughtful. Kindness goes a long way in any business. Sadly, that warmth seems to have faded here over the years. I usually go to other salons that offer a more welcoming and organized experience. Gel manicure & pedicures chip/lift within a week of getting them done. After your pedicure they have you walk across the floors with no sandals offered to get your toes painted in the middle area where the workers are literally sitting on the floor. Love this place. Im a picky (particular) kind of client. i've tried MANY salons, this one by far the best consistently. MY FAVORITE pedicurist is bebe( hopefully thats how she spells it) she does the best massages , cleans up your cuticles so well, as well as perfect french tip. my favorite nail tech for hand acrylic is Vivian,(bebe daughter) she is fast, hand paints extraordinary well, she is a perfectionist and it shows in her work. 1-Star Review for Nails by David Absolutely the worst salon experience I've ever had. I went in for my usual gel pedicure and got a new tech who did almost nothing -- no scrubbing, no cuticle work, no care at all. She clipped my nails, rubbed my legs for maybe two seconds, and said she was done. I wasn't even in the chair for 12 minutes. When I asked her to scrub my heels (which is always included), she refused. After I asked for help, she tried to use a nail file on my feet -- and when I pulled away, she grabbed my legs to stop me from leaving. I went to David himself to explain, and instead of apologizing or fixing it, he pointed to the door and told me to leave. These were supposed to be my bridal toes, and I left heartbroken. This place has zero respect for customers or basic professionalism. Take your money somewhere that actually cares. read more

Billy did a great job on my nails. Very kind and quick. A full set with gel was $35. I had cuts on 8 of 10 cuticle beds. The man doing my pedicure seemed more interested in talking with his younger coworker than doing the pedicure. The pedicure guy was frustrated that I chose regular polish instead of gel and said "it's just $15 more". He was upset that I was in the chair longer because of the drying time. This salon is the RUDEST in town. I've never been talked to so rudely. They won't give you a time frame for service and when you repeatedly request a time frame for service they very rudely say "how are you supposed to put a time frame on a service". I politely said "you don't have to talk to me so rudely, and I've never heard of a salon that can't put a time frame on a service". The man with a grey man bun said "you don't like my tone but you keep coming back". I will never step foot into that salon again. It's a money laundering sweat shop. The employees get bussed in by the owner first thing in the morning and are not paid a livable wage. Their tips are taken by whomever is running the front. The most hectic experience I've ever experienced. Stressed out of my mind. We went for my best friends wedding to get hers done and all of the bridesmaids. The bride was so overwhelmed and stressed. They started doing acrylic on her and she never asked for it. And didn't even shape hers nails nicely. Raised voices at one of the bridesmaids. They were literally on their hands and knees doing the girls toes, like dogs. Just an insane experience. I got my nails done here back when I went to prom because it was the closest to my house, and it was awful. This was also my first time getting my nails done since I was 8 years old. The guy who did them didn't seem to speak english in the slightest, he just kept rudely gesturing towards things expecting me to know what he wanted and looking mad that I had no idea what he was doing. He literally was throwing my hands towards where he wanted me to put them and kept looking pissed off. Worst experience ever. I walked in wanting a builder gel fill and told the man who asked when I walked in - they sat me down with a man nail tech. He started working on my nails and then he decided to tell me they didn't do builder gel fills. I told him I have had it done before at his nail salon and he kept arguing with me that it wasn't what it was (yes it is - I've had this service done to my nails for years) and I didn't know what the product looked like etc.. He wanted to use powder and I told him no and he pulled out a bottle and said he old had this and what I wanted was a pot. I also asked for a pink chrome and he told me he would look for it and he never did. He told me it wouldn't look good and only the silver looked good so he did the silver. I can't believe he just did what he wanted. I was so stunned and embarrassed by the whole thing I froze and was fuming in my chair. He didn't even file my nails, asked if I wanted a different shape or even wanted them shorter. I had a broken finger nail and he fixed it with a tip and it's not even straight. The owners daughter even agreed it wasn't straight when I went to the counter to pay. I wanted to get out of there so badly when the owners daughter asked me how my experience was I told her the truth and said I didn't want to make a scene and yet the owner came over - didn't speak to me, called the nail tech to come over and the tech said "yeah?" To me like I wanted to speak with him.. I told the owners daughter at the counter "I told you I didn't want to make a scene." The whole experience was so horrifying and embarrassing. My girls and I were going to get our nails done. I had previously gone, and had excellent service. This time, we went at 5 on a Tuesday. We were greeted by David and were informed to sit down immediately. We weren't told how long, just sit and wait. We finally got to our chairs for the pedicures -- but we were separated by one person in between my two friends and myself, had they waited two more minutes, we could've all sat together. My nail tech was excellent for the most part, but it felt like she was rushing in comparison to my last experience. There is very little communication between techs and clients in terms of what you should do. I left feeling disappointed and uncomfortable as I was almost forced about to do what the tech wanted me to do. Has anyone here gone to David Lee's Nails on Tully Road? I'm asking because I've been there four times now, and each time I leave more uncomfortable than the last. I honestly can't stand the way the owner, David, treats both his nail techs and his customers. Today, my youngest daughter wanted to get her nails done. She asked if we could go there because, despite everything, they're fast and she just wanted to be in and out. When we arrived, as usual, it was packed. There's a gentleman who usually greets customers when they walk in--I don't know his name, but it seems he may have special needs. He asked what we needed, and I politely told him my daughter wanted a pedicure and a full set. I also asked if it was possible to have the tech at station #8 (they number their manicure tables, if you haven't been). As I was talking to him, David--the owner--interrupted and abruptly told me, "Go outside." I was confused and asked if he was speaking to me. Again, he just said, "Go outside." Louder this time. I said, "I know you're not telling me to go outside like I'm some kind of dog." He never asked how he could help or offered any professional courtesy. Instead, he continued raising his voice and repeating "Go outside" without explanation. It was hot, crowded, and he gave no reason for the treatment. A professional way to handle the situation would've been to let customers know they're busy and offer a timeframe to return. That's how you run a respectful business. Unfortunately, this isn't my only bad experience there. The first time I went, he was popping fireworks inside the salon--no warning at all. Everyone was startled, but one young woman was so terrified she ran outside screaming, thinking someone was shooting. David didn't apologize to her or anyone. He constantly yells at his employees, often in a language many of us don't understand, and he even times them while they're working, creating an uncomfortable and tense environment. I really believe this kind of behavior is not okay--and it shouldn't be acceptable in a place that depends on community support. Has anyone else had a similar experience? read more

I'm so sad! Took my daughter in to have some "me time" and was shuffled around like cattle. My nail tech was in a hurry and rushed through the whole process. The polish she used was thick and tacky but she didn't want to exchange it out for another one. "It will look better once I put on the clear coat" She plopped on the top coat which left a whole bunch of bubbles and then after fixing one of my nails because the color was drooping off because of the thickness she just smoothed it over with her finger and then plopped another coat. I let her know I wasn't happy and she was like "it's what you wanted" and walked away. When getting a pedicure they don't use any bags they spray a disinfectant and then quickly wipe it down. Anyone knows in order for a disinfectant to work you have to let it sit for at least 10 sec. David has affordable prices but is it really worth it? read more

I visited the spa side because my objective was to relax and be pampered, instead of the usual quick in and out. I chose the $40 super spa pedicure. Now, i have to add that I've been here multiple times for the $40 super spa pedicure and they've never used the 2nd sugar scrub product, or the hot rocks nor the paraffin wax like it says is included on the price pamphlet. also my massage has never been even more than 10minutes when it's suppose to be 25minutes. well this time i made sure to express that im in no rush, id like to to enjoy my pedicure quietly as im here to relax. Once again this visit was the same, lady totally rushed, used no hot rocks, no parafin, no sugar scrub. I also chose to set a timer to see how long of a message she gave me... it was 7min 41sec out of the 25:00mins i was paying for. David Lee's isn't what it used to be. What happened? I had gel nails removed with a regular polish applied afterwards. I had wanted a manicure but I didn't get one. One girl started my gel nail removal with a dremel, then a guy took over for her. Never did they talk to me or communicate what was going on. I assumed they would remove the gels the right way with foil and soaked cotton balls but no, they destroyed my natural nails with a dremel and cut my fingers with the dremel file in 3 places. The polish started coming off by the end of the day. I was not going to leave a review but because the nail polish started chipping that day and my nail care wasn't a consideration, I decided to leave a review. This is really bad nail treatment.
