Phenomenal! I won't ever drift again LOL. I had gone to a couple other places around town that she'll remain nameless. They do not compare to the service and quality at the Venetian. Checking was easy and prompt, I had made an appointment earlier in the day... I would like to get to where I have a regular person here for my services, and I may have found them today! I tend to like to just relax when I'm getting my nails done, no offense but I don't like to chat and have that whole conversation thing. So I got two technicians today that were perfect! First was Will, I got a pedicure with regular paint. Very gentle kept checking to make sure all was well gave a really good massage very thorough painted my nails beautifully. I would like to figure out how to have a little longer soak in a little hotter water, so I need to figure out what to ask for to make that happen but other than that it was perfect. Then I got builder gel with very short tips for the first time, with Terry. They couldn't be any more perfect than they came out! Exactly what I wanted. I was going to say no polish on the top but he showed me a clear tiny bit tinted top and I agreed. I want to go out my real nails, and this will get me on my way. I like that I could relax and let them do what they do so well, without having to make small talk.. outside of checking in to make sure I'm okay and that what they were doing was good. I appreciated the relaxing me time. I will be back in 3 to 4 weeks. And I'm going to look for Will and Terry for sure! I went for a pedicure with gel removal and was really happy with my level of service. They showed videos of pastry chefs doing bulk prep which I enjoyed and it was very clean inside. I booked a Pedicure Plus with gel polish and a French tip. The Pedicure Plus is $50, with a $20 gel add-on and a $10 French tip add-on, for a total of $80. I was told this total when I checked in, and I was completely comfortable paying that amount. My concern is not the pricing. I have visited your salon many times, and when I receive the quality of service I expect, I have no issue paying for it. I was seated about 10-15 minutes after my appointment time, which was not an issue because I've always had positive experiences at your salon. Once I was seated, the technician asked if I wanted my toenails clipped shorter to even them out. I explained that I preferred not to have them clipped and would instead like them filed. In the past, my skin was accidentally cut while my nails were being clipped at the salon, so I now prefer filing only. This has never been an issue during previous visits. Unfortunately, today it became a point of disagreement. The technician insisted that my nails needed to be cut and even brought the front desk staff over to explain why they should be clipped. I completely understood the goal of evening out the length--I simply wanted that done with a file rather than clippers. I was then told that if I did not allow my nails to be clipped, they would not be able to do the French tip because the nails would not be even enough. Rather than continue the discussion, I decided to simplify my service and requested a pedicure without gel or French tip. After that interaction, the service felt very rushed. The pedicure itself lasted only about six minutes after we resolved the disagreement, and I was in and out of the salon in less than 20 minutes. To be fair, I recognize that I could have asked to change my service to an Express Pedicure instead of a basic pedicure. However, I had no reason to believe the remainder of my appointment would be rushed. Had I known the service was going to take about the same amount of time as an Express Pedicure, I absolutely would have requested that option instead. Instead, I was charged $38 for the basic pedicure, which included the $5 hot stone upgrade, but the experience felt like an express service, with the only notable difference being a hot stone massage that lasted less than a minute. Again, my concern is not the amount I was charged. I was fully prepared to spend $80 for the services I originally booked because I value good service and quality work. My concern is that the price paid should reflect the quality and level of service received. In this case, the service felt rushed and abbreviated, and it did not reflect the experience I have come to expect from your salon. What made the experience particularly frustrating was that after insisting my nails had to be clipped, the technician ultimately filed my nails anyway at the end of the service. Had filing been presented as an acceptable option from the beginning, I would have proceeded with the pedicure plus with a gel French tip that I originally booked. Instead, I changed my entire service because I was told filing alone was not possible, only for that to be what happened in the end. I wanted to share this feedback because I've had many positive experiences at your salon and hope this can help improve communication in the future. I completely respect that technicians have professional recommendations, but I also believe clients' preferences--especially when based on a previous injury--should be respected whenever safely possible. read more

I usually have a good experience at Venetian Nails, but unfortunately my pedicure today was very disappointing. I don't know the name of the technician who did my pedicure, but she was a bit rude throughout the appointment. To start, the water for the pedicure was much colder than usual. I had barely sat down when she asked if I had picked out a color. I told her I hadn't had a chance yet, and her tone came across as impatient and take bit rude. The pedicure itself also felt rushed. She barely filed or shaped my toenails, and I didn't notice her properly cleaning my cuticles. At the end, I asked if she could file one of my toenails because it looked crooked. She refused and said she couldn't because my nail was broken. I understand that a broken nail can limit what can be done, but I felt like she made very little effort to improve its appearance or shape it as best as possible. She also had to repeatedly clean polish from around my nails because it kept getting on my skin, which made the polish application seem sloppy. The most uncomfortable part was the leg massage. She kept using her fingernails, which felt more like scratching than a massage. It was actually painful and made the experience unpleasant. I've always had good experiences at Venetian Nails, which is why today's visit was so surprising and disappointing. I was primarily there for a pedicure but decided to make an appointment for both a full set and pedicure together. I was directed to get my full set first, which I did not think it was a big deal since I had scheduled for both and figured they would have a pedicure chair ready as soon as my full set was done. My full set is okay; the nails are applied and shaped differently on some fingers, I asked for them to be fixed but the tech seemed to struggle to fix them so I just let it be and didn't make a big deal of it. They didn't plan appropriately to have a pedicure chair ready once my full set was done and they were all occupied when my hands were done and I was ready for my next service. They couldn't provide and exact eta for a chair to be ready and I didn't have time to wait, which is why I had made and appointment beforehand, therefore, I left without my pedicure. No apology for the lack of planning on their end was received. I wouldn't go back again. I really wanted to like this place but it turned what was suppose to be a relaxing self care day into a stressful and upsetting experience. read more

Unfortunately, this was my first and only visit to this busy salon, while very beautiful inside; things changed when I returned 5-days later and requested my original pedicure technician to have another look at my big toes. I addition to the pedicure, Linda did my fills and she was very, very professional. Highly skilled. I had this service after my pedicure which was unfortunate because perhaps this story would have ended differently. Here's my experience: During my pedicure last week, I noticed that the nail technician didn't concentrate on the side of the big toes as I requested. For those people reading this, you know exactly what I mean. There's a special pedicure tool that is used as part of the normal pedicure process. I asked him about this because I have had many pedicures, etc. (I am sorry that I cannot recall his name.) The technician was young and perhaps inexperienced as he was slower and more tentative in his approach. Once again, my first visit here. It was my cousin who recommended this nail salon. She lives here in Modesto. I am from out of town and have parents that relocated here. Fast forward to 5 days later, today, I returned and politely explained the pain and requested if I could see this same person. I made the mistake of saying it was a possible ingrown toe nail that was causing me pain. Could he have another look and perhaps cut the nail or use something on my toes...? The person at the front desk said he spoke with the manager and said they don't work on ingrown toenails that it's against the law. He then showed me the Google definition of In-grown toe nails and the law that states they cannot do this, etc. I explained that I knew this and reiterated same. This supervisor/receptionist (?) maintained a calm and professional demeanor at all times. (I apologize that I do not know his name either.) At this point, I explained that I do not have an ingrown toe nail, that I know the difference and do need t need to go to a doctor. (He suggested that I see a specialist.) I explained that perhaps I used the wrong words to describe my issue that I simply wanted the technician to cut or reshape that toe, etc. (Again, in my hundreds of pedicures occasionally their might be a problem and you return and it is happily addressed. End of story but, not here.) He and I continued to chat some more and it was clear to me he wasn't going to budge and he remained baffled as to what to do next. If this was somewhere else, they probably would have said, "Let's make this right. You can see the same tech, etc. no problem." I ended our conversation with a polite thank you. Frustrated , I left. I would not return to the Venetian Nail Salon. They totally mishandled what could have been am easy 5-minute fix. I think it was a lack of Customer Care. In addition, I am a very generous tipper when it comes to personal care services. Number one, the personal service industry staff are simply not paid enough and I always tip 20%. Venetian is excellent. It is a beautiful and clean salon. I highly recommend Iris, who did a full soak off and applied my builder gel set. The soak off includes soaking in warmed acetone and filing off product. Iris was very careful when filing. She used a thin application of the builder gel and was very gentle. The end product looked clean, smooth, and shiney. When she applied the product and exposed it to light it did not burn my nail beds, like I have experienced in the past. Will has great attention to detail and did not rush the experience, making it very relaxing (especially while I was listening in on a work meeting). Honestly debated making this review because most of the staff is so sweet, but this is truly just ridiculous. Within five days of this pedicure, it started peeling off literally just melting off when I was in the bathtub. The pedicures at the specific salon are very pricey and I pay extra for gel so that they can last month-to-month. This pedicure was about $80. The girl who did my nails wasn't someone I've had in the past and I think she's newer to the salon. She rushed through my pedicure, and I told her twice that she hit my nail with the UV lamp while it was wet and it probably needed to be fixed, she said no, they're fine and when I left, they were super chunky looking and not right and within a few days, just started melting off, like I said. To top it all off they were rushing people through pedicures like crazy and decided to come drop my armrest on my pedicure chair, dropping my phone and shattering my screen. All she did was hand me my phone and say sorry. Again, I've tried to give this salon the benefit of the doubt because it is very aesthetically pleasing, appears clean and usually the staff is so friendly, but this was just such a chop shop experience and I won't be returning. In response to the message from the owner- I was in the pedicure chair for 50 minutes because I was left there with my hands in a bowl. Not my actual pedicure length I'm sure your footage shows me pointing out the issues with the gel as she brushed me off 2x also. Again, I wasn't looking for you to redo them as I'm aware I waited a couple weeks to make the review but like I said it peeled within days. Why would I come back to a place that gave me such an uncomfortable visit? I'm sure you also saw in the footage your employee moved my phone, and was assisting the lady next to me and adjusting her seat and dropped the phone. Very disappointed in quality of work. The employees were very nice and I really appreciated the my spoke English. It was a nice experience. I got a pedicure and dip manicure. The second day the top gel polish was coming off my thumb nail and my middle finger chipped and broke. I went back and they fixed it. Thinking this was a one time thing I still planned to return however 3 days later, so a total of 5 days since the initial appointment now my thumb is cracked and chipped, pointer finger is cracked and chipped and the other pointer finger the natural nail has separated from the dip powder. read more

I was able to walk in, request a pedicure and was seating promptly. I chose the Premium Pedicure and it was amazing! My appointment was with Mar and she was wonderful! There was a great selection of pedicure options, color options, and additional add ons. During my pedicure Mar asked if I also would like to add a manicure and I decided to go ahead and add the basic manicure. It was nice and relaxing and a nice treat to myself.
