Honestly debated making this review because most of the staff is so sweet, but this is truly just ridiculous. Within five days of this pedicure, it started peeling off literally just melting off when I was in the bathtub. The pedicures at the specific salon are very pricey and I pay extra for gel so that they can last month-to-month. This pedicure was about $80. The girl who did my nails wasn't someone I've had in the past and I think she's newer to the salon. She rushed through my pedicure, and I told her twice that she hit my nail with the UV lamp while it was wet and it probably needed to be fixed, she said no, they're fine and when I left, they were super chunky looking and not right and within a few days, just started melting off, like I said. To top it all off they were rushing people through pedicures like crazy and decided to come drop my armrest on my pedicure chair, dropping my phone and shattering my screen. All she did was hand me my phone and say sorry. Again, I've tried to give this salon the benefit of the doubt because it is very aesthetically pleasing, appears clean and usually the staff is so friendly, but this was just such a chop shop experience and I won't be returning. In response to the message from the owner- I was in the pedicure chair for 50 minutes because I was left there with my hands in a bowl. Not my actual pedicure length I'm sure your footage shows me pointing out the issues with the gel as she brushed me off 2x also. Again, I wasn't looking for you to redo them as I'm aware I waited a couple weeks to make the review but like I said it peeled within days. Why would I come back to a place that gave me such an uncomfortable visit? I'm sure you also saw in the footage your employee moved my phone, and was assisting the lady next to me and adjusting her seat and dropped the phone. Unfortunately, this was my first and only visit to this busy salon, while very beautiful inside; things changed when I returned 5-days later and requested my original pedicure technician to have another look at my big toes. I addition to the pedicure, Linda did my fills and she was very, very professional. Highly skilled. I had this service after my pedicure which was unfortunate because perhaps this story would have ended differently. Here's my experience: During my pedicure last week, I noticed that the nail technician didn't concentrate on the side of the big toes as I requested. For those people reading this, you know exactly what I mean. There's a special pedicure tool that is used as part of the normal pedicure process. I asked him about this because I have had many pedicures, etc. (I am sorry that I cannot recall his name.) The technician was young and perhaps inexperienced as he was slower and more tentative in his approach. Once again, my first visit here. It was my cousin who recommended this nail salon. She lives here in Modesto. I am from out of town and have parents that relocated here. Fast forward to 5 days later, today, I returned and politely explained the pain and requested if I could see this same person. I made the mistake of saying it was a possible ingrown toe nail that was causing me pain. Could he have another look and perhaps cut the nail or use something on my toes...? The person at the front desk said he spoke with the manager and said they don't work on ingrown toenails that it's against the law. He then showed me the Google definition of In-grown toe nails and the law that states they cannot do this, etc. I explained that I knew this and reiterated same. This supervisor/receptionist (?) maintained a calm and professional demeanor at all times. (I apologize that I do not know his name either.) At this point, I explained that I do not have an ingrown toe nail, that I know the difference and do need t need to go to a doctor. (He suggested that I see a specialist.) I explained that perhaps I used the wrong words to describe my issue that I simply wanted the technician to cut or reshape that toe, etc. (Again, in my hundreds of pedicures occasionally their might be a problem and you return and it is happily addressed. End of story but, not here.) He and I continued to chat some more and it was clear to me he wasn't going to budge and he remained baffled as to what to do next. If this was somewhere else, they probably would have said, "Let's make this right. You can see the same tech, etc. no problem." I ended our conversation with a polite thank you. Frustrated , I left. I would not return to the Venetian Nail Salon. They totally mishandled what could have been am easy 5-minute fix. I think it was a lack of Customer Care. In addition, I am a very generous tipper when it comes to personal care services. Number one, the personal service industry staff are simply not paid enough and I always tip 20%. Venetian is excellent. It is a beautiful and clean salon. I highly recommend Iris, who did a full soak off and applied my builder gel set. The soak off includes soaking in warmed acetone and filing off product. Iris was very careful when filing. She used a thin application of the builder gel and was very gentle. The end product looked clean, smooth, and shiney. When she applied the product and exposed it to light it did not burn my nail beds, like I have experienced in the past. I came to the Venetian for a pedicure based off of the reviews that were left on Yelp. The vibes are amazing in there the decor is beautiful! However I was not impressed by the pedicure service :( I got the premium pedicure with gel and I felt that it was VERY overpriced. I paid $87 including a fee to pay with card. I think it was $85 before the fee. The massage was not even a massage. I was just getting my legs rubbed with no pressure at all. I usually pay the upgrade in order to get the massage and did not feel like it was worth it in this case. I left very disappointed and will not be going back. I had been feeling that the other places I had been going were becoming more poorly maintained and the last couple of times I was spoken to sort of rudely by the man who greeted me. The salon is tidy and clean, and I lucked out being paired with WILL as I didn't know who to request when I booked. Honestly this was the best pedicure I have ever had. Will has great attention to detail and did not rush the experience, making it very relaxing (especially while I was listening in on a work meeting). Very disappointed in quality of work. The employees were very nice and I really appreciated the my spoke English. It was a nice experience. I got a pedicure and dip manicure. The second day the top gel polish was coming off my thumb nail and my middle finger chipped and broke. I went back and they fixed it. Thinking this was a one time thing I still planned to return however 3 days later, so a total of 5 days since the initial appointment now my thumb is cracked and chipped, pointer finger is cracked and chipped and the other pointer finger the natural nail has separated from the dip powder. read more

Looking for 'reward" that was not food and after saturday work out. I just finished shopping of Sprouts (across the parking lot) and was lucky that they had a pedicure spot open for a walk in. I asked for "regular" ped (no gel) and they did not try to push the sale. Regular polish needs longer to dry and they were ok with me parking myself in a chair post ped to let nails air dry. Staff very friend and professional. I asked the technician to help me pick a nature pink and she offered me two and I picked the one I liked. It's been 2 weeks and my ped still looks good. Though the price was a tad more than I usually pay ($46), the relax atmosphere and cleanliness made it worth it. will recommend and come back. I was able to walk in, request a pedicure and was seating promptly. I chose the Premium Pedicure and it was amazing! My appointment was with Mar and she was wonderful! There was a great selection of pedicure options, color options, and additional add ons. During my pedicure Mar asked if I also would like to add a manicure and I decided to go ahead and add the basic manicure. It was nice and relaxing and a nice treat to myself. First time here. I was told I need appointment based on my needs. Which is fine because I live 45 mins away.. I needed a fill. I have powder and light pink gel, almond shape. (Nothing special) I was always charged $40 for a fill with gel and $50 for a new set. But oh well! Salon was clean. Linda was not very talkative, little rough with nails when buffing them, my nails still hurt around. My nail color have bubbles in them and some black dots but I am not going to sit for another hour to get all this fixed. People that know me, know how I feel about my nails. Wow! What a gem in McHenry village! I was looking for a new place to get my pedicure a couple times a month, and this place nailed it! I got to park close, upon entry I noticed everything was so clean, I was greeted by Kathy upon check-in and she was very friendly and offered me something to drink, which I declined because I had coffee. Then I was asked to pick out a color she showed me my selections, and then I was seated in a pedicure chair. Then, Amy, who might be the best nail tech I've met to date showed up. We had wonderful conversation about our families and kids, she did an excellent job with the pedicure everything felt wonderful the products they use are definitely higher end, I left feeling like I've got a whole new legs and feet. I've had trouble with circulation and blood flow and I have some scars on my legs, but once Amy found out it was safe to do anything she needed to do, I got the best pedicure I've ever had. So, I highly recommend going to Venetian and checking them out. Prices are fair, the quality of products they use is high-end, they take their time and do great work. She even helped me pick an undercover for the glitter that I wanted on the top so that my nails came out looking really pretty. I will certainly be back, and I will certainly look for Amy. Before I found Venetian, I would go to The Bay. Terry is amazing!!! He always does an amazing job and is always my go to.
