I went to Tina 4 times to get Brazilians this last summer. She is super cool, chatty and friendly, she makes you feel very comfortable. She is also very fast, the whole process is always under half an hour. But I did notice, at least for me, that a lot of my hairs were just broken at the surface, not pulled out by the root. So I had a lot of regrowth very fast, in fact I found I still had to shave 2 days later. There was not really a lot of benefit to waxing for me because it was growing back so quickly. I went to another salon who used hard wax on me and took more time, smaller sections I think, and I had a much better result. So I won't be going back, just because I think I need a salon that has hard wax available. read more

She was friendly, professional, easy to talk to, and gave great advice. For those first timers, like I was, some prep advice: don't shave for about 2 weeks, exfoliate before coming in, wear loose clothing, or no underwear at all for a Brazilian, hydrate well before coming in, and you can take ibuprofen 30 min before coming to help with prevent pain. I may have found my Brazilian wax spot in Modesto! Really enjoyed my experience with Tina. No awkward frills/fluff and that stupid small talk with no substance you get from other aestheticians. She's real and super down to earth. I also like her technique, reminds me of how Brazilian waxing used to be. Old school way..wax smaller areas at a time. Not really a fan of the newer 'blue' or hard wax that's been popular these days. And she didn't leave me raw and bleeding!
