Used this business for two years for pedicures, but developed nail fungus on both feet. Was hospitalized for cellulitis in both legs 11 days after my last visit, and required IV antibiotics for five days. Contacted California State Department of Health, filing a complaint. Never saw any cleaning of tub basins between customers doing foot soaks: not once. Use at your own risk. read more

SUPPER DISAPPOINTED! She was rushing to get them done. She didn't listen to me when pointed out defects or things that could be improved. She didn't care about the details or to make it looks better even when pointed out. Plus she changed me $75 for these?! I didn't even get acrylics to get that price. I hope they can get better with new clients and hopefully try to remedy my awful results. I'll update my comment if they can fix them. read more

Omg... I found another amazing manicures here in Modesto...Tammy is amazing and very personable. I came in after not having a pedicure for three months, and she made my feet look transformed an amazing! Thank God I found her because I was going trying to find a manicurist continue how to give a proper pedicure. No bells and whistles just the real deal. It's in there she cut your cuticles. He shapes your nails. She make sure that the bottom of your feet feel nice and smooth her citrus scrub smells amazing and I feel like I have a new pair of feet! Kimmy is the best! I've been coming here for years when I moved out of Modesto I would still drive there from San Ramon just to come to Kimmy!!! She's very patient and pays attention to detail... The customer service here is great and feedback is always welcome with a smile. I only stopped coming because I'm not allowed to have acrylic or even polished nails at my current job. The pedicures are great as well I recommend scheduling with Kimmy ASAP, she never disappoints, if there's anything you want different or changed she's more than willing. I've been coming on and off to Tammy for years due to living away for college!! She is super sweet and kind to all her costumers and really listens to what you want! I have been trying to find new spots that is closer for me around the new area but I am never as satisfied as when I come here! Ok so I've had bad experiences at nail salons but this place is by far the WORST i came here with my sister to get pedicures ( we had gel on our toes already) the lady hand filed our toes for 40 min but nothing came off. I don't think she knew how to take the gel off . On top of that they didn't even have the water on . I'm so frustrated by the lack of experience . We left without getting the service done because i feel like we would've been there for 2+ hours. Then she was rude when we asked to leave which is unprofessional and it could have been handled better. We will never go back . So be warned of the rudeness and inexperience. read more

I went here to get a gel pedi and mani. I kid you not the maon lady told a 70 year old woman who has the shakes to do my nails. I don't mind that she did the work (even though the pain job was shady). But i am horrified with ghe establishment that encorages a 70 year old woman who shakes to provide services. This older lady was great, and I understand if she wants to work she should be able to work. However, as a service provider, you should know which employees do a good job and which ones don't because we are in the era where people will let you know what they don't lile (thank you yelp). Women pay a lot of money and expect a decent job. Kudos to Grandma, shame on establishment! read more

I'm really disappointed with my pedicure, French tip. It came out so ugly and not even as it should. I can do a better job at doing my own French tip on my toes. Wasted 1 hour sitting in that chair and $30. Really crappy work. I'm going to take it off and polish it myself. It was done by one of the ladies there and I'm sure she's not as talented as the other ones. Never coming back. I live in San Francisco and come to visit my Mom quite frequently... I love taking her to get pampered and pretty and we LOVE this place! The ladies at Gorgeous Nails are INCREDIBLE!!! I mean, $25 bucks for pink & whites??? I'm used to paying at least $45 - So, needless to say this is the only nail shop I will frequent in Modesto! Another thing I love about this place is that you never feel like they are "talking about you" - If they think you need a parrafin treatment, they'll ask if you want it & won't gossip to each other if you decline. The establishment is extremely clean and sanitary which is a huge deal for me and my mama - I always get my nails done by the owner, Mai (?) I feel like a total ass that I can't remember her name perfectly - Grrr! But that woman is FAST and phenomenal... and I love the fact that they will spend as much time as you need on pedicures (getting rid of ingrown nails and buffing away at dead skin on your heels). Oh my god. This place was a bloody nightmare. It is filthy and outdated. Their prices are OK. The workers have cuts, blisters, open warts, etc. on their hands which scared the shit out of me and I didn't notice until too late. I have a sloppy gel acrylic manicure for $31 dollars. Biggest waste of money, by a lady who kept talking to herself and was extremely rushed. Please avoid this place. Unsanitary and a waste of money, ugh. I'm disappointed. read more

I always get bright fancy nails and this is the only place that has ever done it right to exactly what I wanted. This is my go-to spot for pedicures. I recommend making an appointment. Not all off the staff have the same skill level, even the greenest and the grumpiest here are better than other those at other salons I have visited. They charge an extra $1 for using your card. Best to bring cash. read more

Worst place I have ever been to. I went to get a full set and they charged me 38 dollars and rushed through it because they were closing. Within 5 days I broke one nail and I didn't even feel it. I wasn't to upset because I understand people make mistakes and she did rush me out. My friend told me about this place because her nail broke after a week of getting them done here and they fixed it for free when she came back so I figured that they would be nice about it. When the fixed my nail they charged me 5 dollars for it and it looks horrible. It's is crooked and a lot thicker than the others. I decided to just get over it and not go there again. Today which is six days since I first got my nails done and I have paid 43 dollars so far and I touched a button on the computer screen at work and another one broke right off and I did not hurt at all. I would assume the nail would hurt when it comes off because the glue it on and any other place I've went to the nails have stayed on for atleast 2 weeks and hurt when I tried to take them off. I called and she said she couldn't do it until tomorrow. All for one nail that takes 5 minutes I have to wait until tomorrow and drive 20 mins AGAIN. I will be going to a different salon to get this one fixed. I'm not sure if it was a mistake and bad customer service combined or they don't know how to do their job's. I will never go here again and I promise I will tell everyone I know to not waste there time and money at this place. read more

They have a sign that says walk-ins but I walk in and there are only 3 customers and they are all in the middle of their pedicures. I ask for a full set and they tell me to come back in 2 hours. I am busy I barely have time to get my nails done. If you can't accept walk-ins don't advertise for them. read more
