This will be my second and last time coming to this location. My first experience here was getting a couples pedicure, where I was accidentally charged an additional $100 to my card at checkout. Since it was a busy weekend, I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt and didn't think much of it. I returned to the salon to get the overcharge refunded, and the gentleman at the register provided me with a $20 store credit as compensation for the inconvenience of having to drive back to the location. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I decided to return today for another pedicure so I could use the store credit I was given at this exact location about a month ago. However, I was told that they no longer accept those cards and that I would need to go to the Floyd location to use it. I explained the situation to the same gentleman who originally gave me the store credit. He told me that they no longer use those cards and proceeded to charge me $51 for my pedicure. I explained that if I had known beforehand that I wouldn't be able to use the credit at this location, I would have simply gone to the other location to begin with. His response was essentially just a nod, and I ultimately paid to avoid any further conflict, especially since it was clear the outcome wasn't going to change. At this point, it's not about the $20 credit--it's about the principle and the lack of communication and consideration for the customer. After being inconvenienced once because of an overcharge, I returned expecting to be able to use the compensation I was given, only to find out at checkout that I couldn't. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location. I will also be letting my family and friends who recommended this salon know about my experience and will be recommending that they visit one of the other locations instead. read more

The first time I took my child for her nails, I was charged $30 over the pricing I normally par for myself when I get a full set. Had gel polish on and wanted a new manicure and the man took a file drill and took off the gel polish and my nails became super thin and almost all broke with everyday activity. The color I picked out there was super thick and clumpy and he kept putting thinner in it. Was terrible nail polish look and was all wrecked by two days later. Will never go back. I used to go to another NT nail salon but I moved and this one is closer to me. I requested Song on a recommendation from my sister. Song is AMAZING! She is efficient, fast, and so professional! She did exactly what I wanted without trying to change my mind. The next day I was deep cleaning and I broke a nail. I made an appointment online for the next day and I also called the salon to let them know that all I needed was a repair. Song asked I wanted to go now and in I went. I came here for the first time on 6/25/21 with my mother, who wanted her nails done. I only wanted my lower arms waxed, but my mom wanted me to get my nails done with her. All techs were busy with customers when we arrived. One of the girls asks if she can help us, and we ask if they take walk ins. She says yes, and asks if we want manis and pedis. We say yes to the manis, but inform her I want my arms waxed. The woman "helping" us suddenly becomes reluctant, "oh....you want wax...? Uh....full or half....", I tell her just half. She looks around at the technicians and replies, "ok, we do both your nails first". I say "ok...". Again we're asked if we're sure we don't want pedicures as well. We say no. She sends us to a station to wait. A woman begins on my mom's nails. Again, do we want pedis?....I'm later called over to another tech's station. As the girl begins working on my nails, I let her know that I was also supposed to have my arms waxed, and she nods. She should already know, along with everyone else in the vicinity, as the woman who first greeted us had been speaking loudly enough from her station for everyone to hear. I asked her if she could do a design on my nails. She nods and hands me a plastic container with a bunch of nail decal sheets in it....ok, not what I had in mind, but fine. I really didn't want my nails done to begin with, so I don't really care. So, I pick some butterflies. When she finishes my nails, she hands me a receipt for her work. I get up to wash my hands, while she calls someone else to her station. Confused, I meet my mom at the front, where the original girl that spoke to us joins us at the register. My mom reminds her that I was supposed to have my arms waxed as well. Her response? "Oh, I don't have time. Too busy."....my mom and I exchange annoyed glances, and I think she realizes how irritated we are, by the change in tone of my mom's response. Because she has the audacity to respond quickly, "Oh, you come back later, yeah?"...no, we can't. We live in Stockton. "Oh ok, you go over to the other NT Nail at the mall".... It's very clear this woman had no intention of waxing my arms, but obviously didn't want to lose out on our business by telling us she couldn't do it to begin with. Instead she deceived us, by having us get our nails done "first" under false pretenses. The tech who worked on my nails also did a HORRIBLE job. They were varying lengths, misshapen, thick, lumpy, and not clean, as you can see from the photos. I have about 9 days growth shown here, but even on the first day, there were significant gaps from my nail beds to where her acrylic work began. So, they already had the appearance of being grown out. My mom's nails actually came out much nicer. They were thinner, so they appeared natural, and were more uniform and smooth. But, the tech who worked on her gave her a pretty bad cut on her finger because she was quickly, and carelessly using her dremel to cut back her cuticles. She also accidentally glued her finger to my mom's finger when placing the tips. Instead of cleaning up her mess, she left behind gunky residue. We had to pay for that overpriced crap! Never again. Here's a thought, don't advertise a service if you're not willing to provide it. And don't lie to your potential clients. If you have time to take random walk ins and waste your energy pushing unwanted pedicures on your customers, you have time to provide the service they're actually there for. ***UPDATE: 7/11/21 in response to Truong N.*** Please bear in mind that that is exactly what you should tell your customers then, when they ask for a service you are currently unable to perform....not wait until they leave a bad review. You don't say, "ok, we do your nails first". "Ok" is an affirmative. That means, "yes". That's agreeing to a service that was requested. "We do your nails first" implies the wax job is to follow. Telling your customer you can't after you agreed to perform a specified service, and proceed to charge them for half the services they requested, is NOT "trying to fit me in". That is called LYING. That is MANIPULATIVE. That is BAD BUSINESS. That also says you don't care about your potential clients. Also, don't pretend she was being helpful by having suggested another salon that was "within 7 min drive, for faster service". First, I was not given the option to wait for the wax tech to finish her job. Instead, I was dismissively told to come back later, after she realized we were not happy. And, when I irritatedly declined, she quickly suggested one of your other locations. She just didn't want to lose out on the exorbitant fee I was charged for my badly done manicure by being upfront; which I noticed you conveniently avoided addressing, though I posted pics of the hack job. If you're going to defend your shady business practices when someone leaves a review you don't like, then at least form a proper, intelligent rebuttal. You know you're WRONG! read more
