Found this place while dropping my husband off at another business. I decided to give them a try based on the reviews and I'm so glad I did. The place is in a good location with plenty of parking. It's updated and pretty clean. I was greeted right when I walked in and seated within a few minutes. I came in for a basic pedicure. I usually don't like trying new places because I've had bad experiences in the past. But I was in a bind and needed a pedicure badly. I was so happy with the lady that I got, I believe her name is Van, I'm pretty sure I'm spelling it wrong. But she was amazing. Really detailed and not rough at all. I used to love going to Billy/Amy but unfortunately after going to a different tech one time to take my nails off, I was informed they are using MMA, which is illegal monomer product. This is terrible for your nails and also not legal to be using on clients. I never minded that the prices were higher than most places because I liked going there. After finding that out the product is illegal and cheap, I realized they are making even more profit on something they shouldn't be using, and it didn't sit right with me to keep going there. read more

love going to Pop bc I know they're gonna get me right everyyy single time. Quality is always perfect & the retention is incredible. Billy always does amazing freestyle nails on me and is super nice n friendly. They have every charm you can think of & tons of colors. The vibe at the shop is super chill & its always so clean. My teenage daughter wanted to get her nails done bc we were going on a mini vacation. We have gone to a few spots in Modesto & nothing satisfy her (shapes, styles). Anyways, her aunt browsed on Yelp and found this spot. In order to make an appointment, my daughter booked via IG. Their response was quick. Been here twice now. First time I arrived they were not prepared for my appointment and I had to wait an extra 30 minutes for another nail tech to arrive. Second time I visited the lady was ready. Her english is not strong so the language barrier was a bit of a struggle. However both times they did a good job on the pedicure. The water always seems to be lukewarm/cold even though I ask for it to be hot. Water is just never hot enough. Overall it's a good place for manicures. Maybe I'll try an afternoon appointment. Early AM appointments just haven't gone my way. read more

I went to Billy years ago so I wanted to support Pop. Only nail tech available to book with was Amy. Her work looked great so I booked. When I walked in she didn't even look up. Just said sit down. She was so rude, impatient and had a very negative vibe. She pretty much yelled at me when I said I wanted them a little thicker to be darker. When I left I noticed what I feared, they were completely see through. I went somewhere else to fix because I didn't want to deal with her attitude. I ended up paying double. I'm not sure if I caught her on a bad day, but it almost felt like she was annoyed to do my nails. Maybe she doesn't like new clients. Her works great but as a business owner and fellow beauty professional I'd never want anyone with that attitude working in my establishment. read more

Amazing nail salon in Modesto, CA! I got a full acrylic set with Billy and it turned out amazing. He was great, extremely quick, and very gentle during the whole process! I'm new to the area and in search of a new shop. Acrylic short Nails and pedicure cost me $157.. so that was an immediate disappointment for me. I come from the bay where I thought was more expensive but the same service in the bay would cost me $110. This was my monthly regular service. This $157 service had less to the pedicure, than I'm used to. Price was one thing but the Nails didn't last 1 week. Which is the main disappointment. I got them done last Sunday and exactly 1 week, on a Sunday later, rhinestones are gone and experiencing some lifting on the Nails already. If I could this place zero stars I would!!!! I got my nails done 5 days ago here. I asked for gel nails in the color red. 2 days after, one of my nails chipped. I went back and got them fixed. 3 days after that, 4 of my nails chipped.....again. I called the owner today and politely told him the situation and asked for a refund. He told me to come and will give me a refund. It wasn't cheap. I'm on my way to the store ( I live 20 min away) and he calls me saying he won't give me refund anymore and will only fix them. This man made me drive all the way there for nothing. He said the policy is refund after a few days. Which my nail did chip a couple days after and this is the second time AGAIN. Anyway, this man got aggressive on the phone. I felt so uncomfortable to even go back and fix them. Zero respect for this type of business management. read more

just got my gel x nails done yesterday and already had 1 pop off. i wouldn't immediately give them a bad review but i don't think ill return. i've had gel x nails before and have never had an issue. unless they are using lower quality products. for $70 plus a $10 tip, i shouldn't have a nail breaking off already. read more

Called ahead to make an appointment, everything went on time as scheduled once I showed up and the salon itself was cute and clean. Zayda is an absolute gem and my pedicure was wonderful. I don't get to treat myself often and it's so nice to feel valued - she took her time, made good conversation (had me cracking up!) and the service didn't feel rushed like it so often does with other salons I've been to. My wife and I have been coming here at least once a month or so since we've been in Modesto and we've had nothing but good experiences. I love getting their level 3 pedicure. They always work really hard on my feet and give a fantastic massage. My wife likes to get designs on her nails and they always look really cool. She got little mistletoes on each nail for Christmas and they looked great. Overall, just very fun positive experiences here. read more

By far the best in town. Billy always makes my nails look beautiful. They make you feel welcomed. I had to take my 5 year old with me and right away they made him feel comfortable and wanted. They gave him a sunny d juice and even assisted him by opening it for him. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. His mother (I didn't get her name) she did my pedicure she did an amazing job. She paid attention to detail. They take their time and don't rush like other places. I'm glad I peeped in this new nail salon when I was walking by. Super friendly owners. They carry a lot of options for gel and also work with alot of acrylic. I usually do very simple nails & the guy working on my nails gave them a nice touch. I saw some really nice nails get done as well while I was doing mine. I believe they prefer an appointment but he was able to get me in at a later time the same day. Check them out! Highly recommend. read more

This client came into the salon with wheelchair her drop off person left her there. Donnie greeted her ask her "how may I help you?" She replied, "filling!" Immediately two staff came to greeted her and push her wheelchair to the station for her service! To my understanding this was a Good Excellent Customer Service practice! A little girl came into salon for manicure and pedicure service! Her mother sat next to her while KLC nail technician lady was very friendly with the little girl. That was understandable. I asked if he could at least try to match the color of the nail polish of the picture and he simply said "just get the same as your toes, it will look fine." I left with matching toe and fingernail polish. I felt he didn't want to put any effort into trying to achieve customer satisfaction. There were only four technicians working, yet multiple customers were repeatedly being told it would be a "20-minute wait," even though several people were already waiting. The actual wait ended up being much longer. My niece and her friends were also rushed through their nails because they were kids. Their services felt very bare minimum, yet there was still no problem charging extra. The most concerning part was when my sister's nails were cut to the point of bleeding. There was no acknowledgment, apology, or offer to make the situation right, not even a small discount. There was also another customer who was waiting for her manicure and needed to leave. I offered to pause my manicure and start my pedicure so the technician could finish with her and she could leave sooner. Despite trying to help them manage the situation, there wasn't even a simple "thank you." Overall, the experience felt disorganized and lacking in customer service. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles those situations matters. Unfortunately, we left feeling like the customer experience was not a priority.
