Found this place while dropping my husband off at another business. I decided to give them a try based on the reviews and I'm so glad I did. The place is in a good location with plenty of parking. It's updated and pretty clean. I was greeted right when I walked in and seated within a few minutes. I came in for a basic pedicure. I usually don't like trying new places because I've had bad experiences in the past. But I was in a bind and needed a pedicure badly. I was so happy with the lady that I got, I believe her name is Van, I'm pretty sure I'm spelling it wrong. But she was amazing. Really detailed and not rough at all. I visit here often when I come to see my daughter and looks like I found my new out of town person.

Amazing nail salon in Modesto, CA! I got a full acrylic set with Billy and it turned out amazing. He was great, extremely quick, and very gentle during the whole process! I enjoyed the process of reserving an appointment as well. It was extremely quick & easy. The establishment was very clean. I also got a mani-pedi and Louise was amazing!! Been going to Amy for a little over two years and have never been more satisfied. I am a bit picky and Amy has always been helpful with picking out colors and designs. Never scared to ask for a design, she can do anything. I have received service from other nail techs there, and they're all just as talented. I'm new to the area and in search of a new shop. Acrylic short Nails and pedicure cost me $157.. so that was an immediate disappointment for me. I come from the bay where I thought was more expensive but the same service in the bay would cost me $110. This was my monthly regular service. This $157 service had less to the pedicure, than I'm used to. Price was one thing but the Nails didn't last 1 week. Which is the main disappointment. I got them done last Sunday and exactly 1 week, on a Sunday later, rhinestones are gone and experiencing some lifting on the Nails already. Also just really disappointed on the price of the Nails especially cause they are super short and didn't last.

Trust me don't go here this people stealing an have a bad costumer service. I came in for basic flowers and they couldn't do that. This cost me $ 80 worst mistake I have done dealing with their attitude and worse if you asked them to fix their mistake.

If I could this place zero stars I would!!!! I got my nails done 5 days ago here. I asked for gel nails in the color red. 2 days after, one of my nails chipped. I went back and got them fixed. 3 days after that, 4 of my nails chipped.....again. I called the owner today and politely told him the situation and asked for a refund. He told me to come and will give me a refund. It wasn't cheap. I'm on my way to the store ( I live 20 min away) and he calls me saying he won't give me refund anymore and will only fix them. This man made me drive all the way there for nothing. He said the policy is refund after a few days. Which my nail did chip a couple days after and this is the second time AGAIN. Anyway, this man got aggressive on the phone. I felt so uncomfortable to even go back and fix them. Zero respect for this type of business management.

just got my gel x nails done yesterday and already had 1 pop off. i wouldn't immediately give them a bad review but i don't think ill return. i've had gel x nails before and have never had an issue. unless they are using lower quality products. for $70 plus a $10 tip, i shouldn't have a nail breaking off already.

love going to Pop bc I know they're gonna get me right everyyy single time. Quality is always perfect & the retention is incredible. Billy always does amazing freestyle nails on me and is super nice n friendly. They have every charm you can think of & tons of colors. The vibe at the shop is super chill & its always so clean. Amy doesn't seem to care much about her clients' nail health. The first time I noticed this was when she forcefully ripped off my acrylics instead of removing them properly. The second time she tried to do the same thing, I asked for a soak off, and she insisted it wouldn't ruin my nails and said it took too much time. Recently, I did a soak off myself and noticed signs that the product used may have been MMA, which is a much cheaper and widely restricted product in the nail industry. My nails are now severely damaged, and I even developed an allergic reaction on my fingers afterward. read more

I used to love going to Billy/Amy but unfortunately after going to a different tech one time to take my nails off, I was informed they are using MMA, which is illegal monomer product. This is terrible for your nails and also not legal to be using on clients. I never minded that the prices were higher than most places because I liked going there. After finding that out the product is illegal and cheap, I realized they are making even more profit on something they shouldn't be using, and it didn't sit right with me to keep going there. read more

Been here twice now. First time I arrived they were not prepared for my appointment and I had to wait an extra 30 minutes for another nail tech to arrive. Second time I visited the lady was ready. Her english is not strong so the language barrier was a bit of a struggle. However both times they did a good job on the pedicure. The water always seems to be lukewarm/cold even though I ask for it to be hot. Water is just never hot enough. Overall it's a good place for manicures. Maybe I'll try an afternoon appointment. Early AM appointments just haven't gone my way. read more

I went to Billy years ago so I wanted to support Pop. Only nail tech available to book with was Amy. Her work looked great so I booked. When I walked in she didn't even look up. Just said sit down. She was so rude, impatient and had a very negative vibe. She pretty much yelled at me when I said I wanted them a little thicker to be darker. When I left I noticed what I feared, they were completely see through. I went somewhere else to fix because I didn't want to deal with her attitude. I ended up paying double. I'm not sure if I caught her on a bad day, but it almost felt like she was annoyed to do my nails. Maybe she doesn't like new clients. Her works great but as a business owner and fellow beauty professional I'd never want anyone with that attitude working in my establishment. read more

My teenage daughter wanted to get her nails done bc we were going on a mini vacation. We have gone to a few spots in Modesto & nothing satisfy her (shapes, styles). Called ahead to make an appointment, everything went on time as scheduled once I showed up and the salon itself was cute and clean. Zayda is an absolute gem and my pedicure was wonderful. I don't get to treat myself often and it's so nice to feel valued - she took her time, made good conversation (had me cracking up!) and the service didn't feel rushed like it so often does with other salons I've been to. My wife and I have been coming here at least once a month or so since we've been in Modesto and we've had nothing but good experiences. I love getting their level 3 pedicure. They always work really hard on my feet and give a fantastic massage. My wife likes to get designs on her nails and they always look really cool. She got little mistletoes on each nail for Christmas and they looked great. Overall, just very fun positive experiences here. read more

Decided to try this place out for a first time. Was very impressed with the overall experience, establishment, and technicians. I started out with a basic pedicure and my technician Von took her time and it was very relaxing. Honestly debated making this review because most of the staff is so sweet, but this is truly just…read moreridiculous. Within five days of this pedicure, it started peeling off literally just melting off when I was in the bathtub. The pedicures at the specific salon are very pricey and I pay extra for gel so that they can last month-to-month. This pedicure was about $80. The girl who did my nails wasn't someone I've had in the past and I think she's newer to the salon. She rushed through my pedicure, and I told her twice that she hit my nail with the UV lamp while it was wet and it probably needed to be fixed, she said no, they're fine and when I left, they were super chunky looking and not right and within a few days, just started melting off, like I said. To top it all off they were rushing people through pedicures like crazy and decided to come drop my armrest on my pedicure chair, dropping my phone and shattering my screen. All she did was hand me my phone and say sorry. Again, I've tried to give this salon the benefit of the doubt because it is very aesthetically pleasing, appears clean and usually the staff is so friendly, but this was just such a chop shop experience and I won't be returning. In response to the message from the owner- I was in the pedicure chair for 50 minutes because I was left there with my hands in a bowl. Not my actual pedicure length I'm sure your footage shows me pointing out the issues with the gel as she brushed me off 2x also. Again, I wasn't looking for you to redo them as I'm aware I waited a couple weeks to make the review but like I said it peeled within days. Why would I come back to a place that gave me such an uncomfortable visit? I'm sure you also saw in the footage your employee moved my phone, and was assisting the lady next to me and adjusting her seat and dropped the phone. Nice spin on the truth though My review remains the same, I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

By far the best in town. Billy always makes my nails look beautiful. They make you feel welcomed. I had to take my 5 year old with me and right away they made him feel comfortable and wanted. They gave him a sunny d juice and even assisted him by opening it for him. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. His mother (I didn't get her name) she did my pedicure she did an amazing job. She paid attention to detail. They take their time and don't rush like other places. I'm glad I peeped in this new nail salon when I was walking by. Super friendly owners. They carry a lot of options for gel and also work with alot of acrylic. I usually do very simple nails & the guy working on my nails gave them a nice touch. I saw some really nice nails get done as well while I was doing mine. I asked 1 more time explaining that I did not want a bumby/grit texture cause from adding a top coat without removing the dust. She still told me that I could not wash my hands. After the service I went to wash my hands and there were a few nails that did have a grit texture to the top coat. 1 week later and my nails are lifting. I felt this tech was extremely unprofessional. Not allowing me to do the most basic request is uncalled for. She wastrying to cut corners to speed up my service.
