Wow, this place has gone downhill big-time. Its only been a year, 2 years tops, since I last dined here. Maybe they're under new ownership? Anyway, they used to have the best fried zuchini, ordered it today ... awful. Instead of bread crumbs, now its battered. And I'm not kidding, a few of them were almost an inch thick, so too hard to cut. And no flavor. The other thing I really used to like was their side salad. It used to come on a cold plate and the dressing was always mixed in and so yummy. No cold plate, dressing was mixed in but had no flavor and the lettuce seemed like a store bough mix. I've eaten at Lulu's probably 20 times over the years. I will not be going back. Too bad. Service was great though, I'll say that! read more

This is a great place to eat their menu is very assorted...this is my second time here the service id great an the food is excellent

I love this place!!! The food is a amazing and every bite is like a little piece of home. Mike, the owner, is such a sweetheart!!! Hospitality is a rare thing to come by in LA but he really does care about satisfying his customers!! I've ate there three times now (twice in restaurant, once to-go) and I've left happy each time!! read more

This place is overpriced! I called to ask how much a grilled cheese is and they told me $7..and that was with no side! I was at work and wanted one. Definitely wasn't going to pay that much for it. I rather go to Denny's which isn't much better, then come here. Service isn't good either. If you want good service or decent price for a sandwich, don't come here. read more

My mom and I came here on a Friday night for their full rack of ribs. Oh wee! Those ribs were flavorful and delicious! It came with a choice of two sides so we got garlic mashed potatoes and baked beans. They were okay. The clientele is mostly older folks and the ambiance is like a diner. It's a chill spot for a chill night. And the ribs were delicious!! Oh and they serve you fresh baked French bread straight from the oven with butter while you are waiting for your meal. Yum! read more

Lulu's has always been one of my family's favorite go to places. They have a huge menu with a great variety of food...something for everyone! They even offer some hard to find items like Monte Cristos or broasted chicken. The portions here are huge...you definitely won't be going home hungry! The staff here is always friendly and attentive. They have all worked there for as long as I can remember and you can tell that they really care about their restaurant and your experience. Their food is great and I have never tried anything I didn't like. All of their food is great, but I especially recommend their breakfasts. They run great specials and the portions are huge! I highly recommend Lulu's! read more

I usually go to Lulus for the great breakfasts. But today I got a late start and had the Memphis BBQ that they now offer. I had the ribs and they didn't disappoint. They literally were falling off the bone onto my fork. Nice flavor and very filling. I've been coming here a long time and the staff and owner (Mike) are all fantastic. Give the BBQ a try you, will not be disappointed. read more

11 dollar breakfast burrito with previously frozen potatoes and they skimped on the avo. I feel like lulu has taken advantage of my love of wrapped breakfast food read more

I'm giving 5 stars solely for Big Doug's Memphis BBQ at Lulu's!!! BEST BBQ EVER!!!!!!!

Without calling ahead a group of ten of us, all wheelchair users, were seated in a great location and served promptly and efficiently by the staff. The food was unanimously voted excellent. A special thank you to Efrain, the shift manager, for donating a gift card to the annual Triumph Foundation's Let 'em Roll fundraiser on July 13. We will definitely be eating here again. read more

I've been there twice and the food was delicious both times. The waiter (I don't remember his name) remembered me and my girl the second time and even knew what we ordered previously. Their Avocado Burger is delicious and something about their fries is just ridiculously awesome. Next time I will definitely try their dessert! read more

I haven't been in 5 years or so, so I don't know if the staff, restaurant and food is still the same or not. Breakfast used to be pretty good and reasonably priced, don't know if it still is...home fries were tasty, ask for em crispy. The thing I remember the most probably are the home made zuchini and onion rings and their home made dressing they served as a dipping sauce...a bleu cheese ranch mixture, so if that is still the same, try that-or get that dressing tossed on a dinner salad........AMAZING!!!!!! The rest of the menu is good old fashioned american fare that was usually better than avg. for the most part, as far as I remember. read more

I'm not gonna lie- exterior-wise, this place looks rough. My family and I were looking for a spot to eat after visiting another family member at the hospital and LuLu's came up. A few of them recalled eating there way back in the day and thought a trip down memory lane wouldn't hurt. So, we went in and what you walk into is sort of a cross between Denny's and Lancers (corporate diner and not so corporate diner). The food was good-- had the Cajun tilapia-- but what made this experience worth while was the service from Lisa. Because of her, we might just be back. She was on top of it and got into our conversational jive as if she were not just meant to serve our table, but be a part of it as well. Really appreciated that. read more

Micheal , missing me some Lulu's .. Live in Texas now .. Don't know if you remember us michelle , niko , Luke .. Lol great food met my ex husband there , Alex bello . I can't say much about this place because it has been so long since I have been there. But I can say that I have been there about 4 times, tried something different EVERY time, and every time it has sucked. It is overpriced and not good. It is like a glorified Denny's.... althought I would actually eat at Denny's. The service is not that great there either. You would be better off at the McDonald's express that is in the Home Depot accross the street, or the Wendy's that is next door. Actually, ya, screw McDonald's... go to Wendy's. read more

We have a monthly meeting at Lulu's I believe it has new owners that are trying to make it a better place. Staff is friendly I have only tried the chicken wrap which at times is bland. They have a nice bar area with plenty of tv's for viewing sports. read more

My wife and I have had lulus delivered through grub hub 4 times now and we have d loved it every time. Fish and chips and broiled chicken with great onion rings. read more

Always excellent! Monte Christos are hard to find and guess what .... they have them on the menu! I love that they have BBQ nights on the weekends and have beautiful cakes and desserts such as funnel cake ....who can ask for more ?!! read more

I ordered chicken primavera, with pene pasta. Food came cold, dry because spent too much time under the lamp, chicken came with a lot of fat, and I hate fat. Garlic bread was cold, manager was taking food off the plates and eating it before it leaves the counter, and the bathroom was very dirty, they didn't seem to care read more

If I could, I would definately give them 10 stars !! The food is always great and the variety of options is spectacular. No matter what you are in the mood for, they've got it !! I feel like im at a family members house with how comfortable the environment is and the friendliness of the staff. read more

I grew up regularly visiting Lulu's with my family and I loved it. When I was 21 I started waitressing there and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I can say that the standards of cleanliness and customer appreciation is top notch! I felt I was working in a family environment and still visit today. I recommend everything on the menu as I can't think of anything I've ever been disappointed in. The cocktails are great and it's a perfect place to watch sports. Don't pass this place up! read more

Want normal food and a normal environment? Go here. Reminds me of an upscale Denny's. I just needed a fast snack/lunch on my break from work. Had the hash browns and a glass of Chardonnay. No complains, but probably won't return. read more

Open-faced turkey sandwich was really good. I'd order it again. Apple pie with ice cream, and the coffee, were equally good. First-timer.

This place is a hidden gem. The brisket sandwich and ribs are delicious! Their coleslaw is the best in LA and their service is amazing! Our server was named Melanie and she really went above and beyond with everything. She should get a raise! We will definitely be back to see Melanie and also try other items on the menu. read more

HOLY GUAC A MOLE! This place is freaking awesome! I didn't dine in, i ordered it straight from yelp. The service was phenomena in the way the delivery guy greated me. He was in a really good mood and was very talkative (which I don't mind) Gave the man a tip due to the food beinh organized neatly as well as still being warm. Primarily I had called in and asked a few questions to make sure I knew what I was getting into! I ordered the sampler AND HOLY COW! This thing was meant for like 3 people! In size it was 10 stars, in taste it was 10 stars in presentation well it looked so unhealthy and damn it, i like unhealghy food at times. I definitely will return to experience the dine in portion and place an updated review. Great food. read more

I tried this restaurant using the Eat24 app 3 times in one week, that's how good it is! The food is absolutely delicious and the delivery was prompt! The potato skin boats are my favorite! The menu is so large that my fiancé and I have tried something different each time and everything has been good! read more

Don't eat at the restaurant very often but I do use the catering service regularly. The food is always delicious and plentiful. The menu is varied enough to keep my guests interested and I get compliments each time we use them. The catering manager (Debbie) is right on the money. Pleasant, efficient, thorough and works her magic with any request I have. I've been a client of Debbie's for over 4 years now and couldn't imagine using Lulu's without her. The deliver staff is top notch, pleasant and efficient, on time and knowledgeable about the food. All in all, I don't and wouldn't use anyone else besides Debbie and Lulu's. read more

The owner is so rude. And the delivery takes forever. The food is always cold. And the prices are ridiculous. For the price they charge you think your getting gourmet food. Terrible, terrible service. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

Fantastic food delivery by a very nice delivery guy. One of the better meals I've had delivered to my house in this area. The quality of chicken was the only thing I would improve. But the salad was huge, the beans flavorful, the OJ freshly squeezed, and the cheesecake was perfectly not overly sweet. The best, though, were the sliders. Great tasting buns, onions, and ground beef. I will be trying then again soon! read more

This place wasn't THAT bad. The service I had (twice) was ordinary but good. The food was pretty decent. When my family comes to town it's hard for us to find a restaurant that can seat us all (12) and when we went to Lulu's they had a seat quick and the service was good. If I were to compare it to Denny's I'd say they're about the same. Granted the Denny's chain is a bit "nicer" as far as decor goes, but Lulu's is just fine and it's clean. read more

Ive been wanting to rate this place for a while particularly considering the fact that it took me near a year and a buddy hounding me repeatedly to try it out. GREAT hands down, food is wonderful, staff is nice, valley sucks-but hey its ventura and theres no parking-and did I say the food was good? Cant wait to go again! read more

I used to love this place but the service and cleanliness has gone down the tubes same with the food. Today we were sat at a table with brown stains on the table clothes and dirty cups. I'm afraid to see how my food comes out. read more

The food is amazing, the servers are great and the prices are very affordable! I definitely recommend this place to anyone. Try their BBQ and ask for the server named Melanie. She's the best! read more

SERVICE: Great! Our server was checking on us periodically and filling our waters. She was very pleasant and open to explaining dishes. PARKING: Private parking lot. Stress-free parking! FOOD: Pretty good. I order a souper salad with French onion soup. The food was mediocre, but I think the service and good company made up for it. read more

My chicken fried steak and eggs wasn't bad at all. The gravy did start to coagulate a little which would probably be my compalint. Wife had to send her over medium eggs back because the whites weren't cooked at all which was weird. Greasy spoon diner food. read more

Broasted chicken is hard to find so if you've never had it, this is the place to go! Great waitress, tasty food, nice atmosphere.

This is about my 7th time here...and honestly,I haven't been disappointed once..the service is good, and the food is on point...I see a lot of people giving negative reviews,it's just really odd. read more

Worst breakfast ever. We ordered the eggs Benedict and corn beef hash. The eggs Benedict the eggs were over cooked the hollandaise sauce had to taste and was watery and the bread was soggy. The potatoes was under cooked and the toast was black and burnt. NEVER EAT HERE. FOr 24 dollars you can get better breakfast else where. Don't make the same mistake we did. Never again read more

Very consistent food! We ordered for our office and everyone was happy, which is tough when you are ordering for 5-7 people. We ordered the chili, it got rave reviews; the reuben was delish; the salads were huge and very good, I highly recommend sharing; one guy ordered the Monte Cristo, which he said was good, but would recommend for dine in only. Overall, the service was quick and very good food!! We will order again! read more

Well, the boycott is back on. The last couple of times we have eaten here, we noticed a decline in the quality of the food. Last night we had dinner and it was beyond bad. I tried to be safe and ordered a cheese burger with bacon. Both the beef and bacon tasted old and gross. I barely got a few bites down and I'm not a picky eater. My wife had a tuna melt. She didn't hate it but I thought it was mediocre. Even their once wonderful crispy fries were not quite as good. I wonder what changed. On the positive side the drinks were large and cheap. The regulars are fun and friendly. We will continue to drink there. It is unfortunate we can't enjoy some food with our drinks. See previous 4 star review below. read more
