We came here on a Wednesday for lunch and had a great experience. It is a laid back place with a bar and lots of seating throughout. We were greeted quickly and seated. The unsweetened tea was good and I saw they had a good beer selection and a full bar. There is plenty to choose from on the menu for any appetite and they have daily specials. I got the chef salad and it was fresh and delicious. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and had generous servings. Our waitress was good about refilling our drinks and our meals came out in a short amount of time. Will definitely be back the next time I am in town. read more

We were stuck in nearby Bennett waiting on repairs to our RV and the clerk at the Comfort Inn suggested Lulu's. This is a neighborhood rancher bar and grill and the ambiance is great - ZZ Top on the PA, rodeo on the TV's and waitresses that take care of you. We probably should have had a steak or hamburger - we were in beef country. But we'd had hamburgers for lunch. So I ordered the fried shrimp - they were straight out of a freezer bag. My wife ordered a grilled chicken salad. The salad was OK but the chicken was overcooked and hard. Oh, and we ordered wine. It took forever to come and we should have ordered beer or whiskeys. Lots of space for eating, both intimate and groups. We were promptly and warmly greeted by our server, whom took our drink order right away. She was open, offering honest suggestions of her favorite menu items. The food was cooked well. The Jalapeño poppers were out of this world, but be prepared for the heat. My filet was cook perfectly. We came here for breakfast not knowing the breakfast options only include a breakfast burrito or a scramble but the rest of menu is available. We came here at 10:30a on a Saturday and only four more families inside. The servers were nice. What we swallowed: *CRISPY SHRIMP: The server recommended this between between the Fish and Chips. It was good. Crispy shrimp, tasty fries. *PEPPERONI PIZZA: The crust on this was good and was enjoyed by everyone, although this was split between my 2 kids and it was more than enough. *GARLIC PARM FRENCH FRIES: Big bits of parm cheese and garlic. It was hot and tasty. *BEER MAC AND CHEESE: Very strong beer flavor. Could use a bit more cheese to offset it. *PEACH COBBLER w ICE CREAM: We were all fighting over the crust. Truly surprising the food quality was some of the best I've ever had in Colorado or Wyoming state was amazing. I stopped at Lulu's Inn just for a cup of coffee while on my way to Denver. The gals at the bar make me a fresh pot of fabulous coffee and really made me feel at home. The parking lot was overflowing and the place was really hopping with happy people and I wished I had had time to order some of their delicious looking food and listen to the live music outside on their patio. Stopped here on the 4th of July on our drive out of Denver because Denver restaurants were slammed. This is your average roadside bar/restaurant. Nothing special. Nachos were pretty basic with melted store bought cheese. Chicken tasted a little rubbery. Burger was fine but coleslaw was disgusting. Again, tasted store bought with zero flavor. My husband liked the patty melt but said he's had better. The inside had a certain "sticky" feeling (booth, table, floor.) Even the beer I had felt sticky around the mouth piece. I suppose if you're driving past and starving, it's fine. I wouldn't seek this place out, though. read more

What a great little spot! Both my husband and I ordered hamburgers and they were EXCELLENT. My son had chicken strips and said they were great! Beer was cold and service was fantastic. They just have two steaks and a Prime rib sandwich, both in the $25 price range, which I've never heard anyone complain about. The people are nice and welcoming. I have been to LuLu's twice now. Once for a Father's Day lunch and once for their steak and lobster special. Both were good experiences and they have decent food. The first time they had JUMBO shrimp cocktail. I am not a fan of shrimp cocktail, but everyone else loved it and said it was the best they have ever had. They have since removed it from the menu. I was a little shocked by that. This experience, the initial server came up to us and seemed overwhelmed by our drink order alone. We asked about the steak and lobster special and she was short with us in her answers. We ordered drinks and a different server came out and she took over. Service was great after that. The steak and lobster special is market price ($50) when we went. It comes with a salad that is pretty large, either a T-bone steak or ribeye, an 8oz ish lobster tail, a giant loaded baked potato and Texas toast. It is a lot of food. A lot! It came out to 2 meals for me personally. We were there during a Bronco game and the place was pretty busy but they seem to handle the tables well. We ordered their margaritas that they have on special on a flyer on the table and the bartender had no clue they even had that. Seemed off, but they figured it out. Overall a good experience and I will be back for that steak and lobster. read more

Let me first warn you about the racket they have going on with their ATM machine. If you are dining alone or splitting your check, bring cash. Credit card slips must be $20 or it's cash only, which they'll happily offer at their jacked up ATM fee machine. Now the food, it's good. I ordered the BBQ nachos several days in a row. They are homemade chips (and good ones), came with pulled pork chopped green onion and drizzled with BBQ sauce. I've had the burger in the past and it was good as well. Besides the cash/credit card issue, check out their most recent food inspection report prior to visiting. Yelp has listed many violations, most seemed somewhat minor and corrected, but worth a look. read more

I love this place. Its big with two bars, a dance floor, a patio, and 3 horseshoe pits. I had the Barbeque Nachos. I cannot find a bad thing to say about them. Fresh potato chips, right out of the fryer, topped with cheese, pulled pork, and Barbeque Sauce. It was divine. A cold PBR from the tap completed my country bar experience. The service was prompt, and the owner even came out to make sure everything was up to standard. No music was playing in the bar, but I would expect they have both kinds of music, Country AND Western. I've come to Lulu's Inn a handful of times over the years I've lived out east. They have various bands there through out the weekend and it's not just country music! There's several classic rock bands and most recently the band was pumping out some 90's hits. Love! They offer a weekday happy hour from 4 pm to 6 pm. On the weekends they have offer a mimosa, draft beer, bloody Mary, or screwdriver with their breakfast burrito for just $5! While the drinks are strong, the food is decent, and the music is excellent; the service is unfortunately lacking. Most recently we were there as part of a group on a Saturday night. There was a band and a decent sized crowd, but only one bartender. Yikes! I could tell she was doing the best she could, but we were left waiting frequently. Just poor planning. All in all, it's not a favorite haunt of mine, but it's def a solid spot (and one of the few) for locals out east! read more

Do you need a place to take an out of town guest to see the true West? Do you need a good chicken friend steak? Lulu's Inn is the place. This is so worth the drive from Denver. Think of the Blues Brothers when they sang The Rawhide theme song and you think of Lulu's. BTW, Watkin's is on your way to Kansas but only about a 30 minute drive from downtwon. They offer chicken fried steak, cook your own steak (they do it for $2.00 more), hamburgers, and specials. Of course a great bar and a great bartender who remembers me now. Could be because I have brought my colleagues from India here to get a true taste of the West (we drink beer and eat french fries and not the meat). The day I came with a friend from India, a group of bikers came in and one of them sauntered over to our table and said he had never met an Indian from India.....after a 30 minute conversation he was letting my friend sit on his Harley. You know that story is still circulating in Delhi. Lulu's offers many things for many people. There are several horse shoe pits in the back yard along with tables for watching and drinking. The cook your own steak pit is out there too. The inside is divided into several sections: 1) The sports area....pool table and air hockey, 2) The bar with those video games and the TVs 3) The dance floor and stage....the groups are always changing 4) The dining area (white table cloths) and Western decor and a decent view of DIA The clientele is vast: bikers, cowboys, ranchers, wanna be cowboys, and city people out for an interesting lunch or dinner with friends. I am a truck driver who came up from Texas.. was parked across the street and this was the only thing to eat other than the gas station. I must say this place was 10/10.. environment was very nice, tons of tvs to watch sports, 2 full bars, extremely nice staff, and the food was soo good! I got a bison burger and it definitely didn't disappoint. I normally don't leave reviews places but I felt I needed to for this place because you wouldn't think the place was that great by looking at it from outside.
