Been to this location several times and always great food with a friendly wait staff. Had Pad Thai, Lemongrass Corner Beef, Chicken in a Pot, and of course..PHO! It's all great. Highly recommend. read more

Nice little restaurant. Great food & good service. The portions were great and we enjoyed the duck curry!

I really like the Lucky Corner in Downtown Frederick. I have tried on numerous occasions the location on Buckeystown Pike for both dining in and carry out. The service is painfully slow. This visit (which will be our last) took 45 minutes for our appetizer to get to our table. When our main dishes finally arrived, they only brought 3 of the 4 meals. I had to ask for the final meal when the rest of us were almost finished (I know, we should have been polite and waited to all eat together). This is the second time this has happened at this location. Our previous visit, we were all actually finished our meals when the 4th arrived. read more

Decided to try the new location - it's just as great as the DTF one! The tofu and veggie pho is my go to dish. Savory, fresh, and delicious. Lucky Corner is a definite must try. read more

Lucky Corner - Vietnamese Near Me - Frederick, Maryland

Shied away from Vietnamese food until my son raved about several of the Vietnamese restaurants in Denver. Decided I'd have to try several. This is the best in the area by far. read more

OMG soooooo goooood. The servers are all extremely attentive and well-trained. You can tell they really care about customer service. The food is freakin amamamammazing. I love their curry. I've had the shrimp and chicken and both are amazing. Eating in is better than carry out because they give you more veggies. The pho is soooo good. I've had pho other places (even at the downtown location) and this is just the best. The seafood pho is whatttttt!!! It's just good quality food. Everything tastes fresh. Drinks are good too. This place gets busy and rightfully so, so off-peak hours are the best times to go. The restaurant is very nice and well-decorated (not corny like other places). And they don't give me the side eye for taking a whole handful of their guava candy on my way out. Now I don't suggest you do this, but if you do just do it with confidence- hold your head up, look the host/hostess in the eye, tell them you love the candy, and just take it. And if there are none left just ask because they keep a stash under the desk. read more

We've enjoyed Lucky Corner a few times with friends before shows in Frederick, MD - I highly recommend it as reasonably fast and with a wide variety of Vietnamese soups and main dishes. It never disappoints. read more

A good clean restaurant with polite staff. Beer is cheap on Tuesdays and martinis on Wednesday; the spiced duck here is great and the duck sauce is even better. Beef meatballs for the pho tastes downright wrong, however, I would definitely come back to try something new. read more

The food was okay. I ordered the #1 pho combo. Same in most pho places. Tasted good but the soup didnt come out hot. Luke warm which ruined it for me. Maybe it was the area where the restaurant is located being the reason why soup doesnt come out steaming lol. Dont want to get in trouble if it spills on somebody.lol. my friend ordered the spicy beef soup. All we got was the same soup with sime hot pepper sprinked on top. Disappointed he had to pay $2 more dollar for some peppers. Thought it would be a different soup like other places. The price was also very high for the portion received. I understand its a new place and nice environment. Doesnt taste like it should be $ 3 to $4 per meal compared to most places. Always heard great things about thebother location downtown. read more

My family and I enjoyed lunch at this location. My husband had the house special pho, and said it is the best he has eaten here in Maryland. The food was good, the service polite and efficient, and the prices good. read more

The pho and thai tea here is really good! Place gets busy during lunch time. Definitely bring your appetite.

Horrible customer service and wait time called in my order showed up over 20 min later and I still waited almost 15min for my food. Then the manager got an attitude and snapped what do you me to do about it??? Don't waste your time or Manet!!! read more

Really good food But don't come when you're in a hurry it takes well over an hour to eat here. I've been here three or four times and always takes this long read more

Let me tell you something. This place is the best in the area with very fresh food and good options on the menu. Staff is friendly. I'm not a big fan of eating out a lot (lots of times feel sick afterwards since I have no idea what type of *** nowadays restaurants put into your food) however this is not the case with this place. You won't regret it, just check it out. read more

Everything we had was delicious. My pumpkin curry was spicy, but not too hot. The duck pot stickers were yummy and not geasy (like duck some times is). read more

I've enjoyed many great meals here but this time I never even got to order. Arrived about 10 minutes before they opened and parked right out front. Watched the owner turn on the Open sign at 10:54am. Went inside and male server said they were not yet open so I took a seat. About 3 minutes later a party of 6 came in and he told them the same. A few minutes later the server took 6 menus from the stack and invited the party of six to follow him. They all looked at me as they passed and one gentleman even invited me to join them. The server took their drink order and disappeared as I sat trying to figure out what was happening. Then I figured it out!! Servers rotate so he wanted to earn the tip from the party of six instead of a party of one! So rude! Needless to say I left and while I may eat at Lucky Corner again this server will never wait upon me again no matter how many in my party!!!!!! read more

We love the original Lucky Corner - and this location did not disappoint. My favorite dish, beef with thick noodles, tasted exactly the same - awesome and full of flavor. The decor is very cool and much more parking than the original downtown. We were happy to see our favorite waiter at the new location. This place is consistently fabulous!! read more

I would've given this place five stars because the food is great but the dine in experience is terrible. This's the second time that they forget our order and even though the place is half empty the freakin pho took 30 minutes to come out... Don't bother with eating inside just order for a pick up!!! read more

Had a fabulous time @lucky corner . Delicious food, great atmosphere and very friendly host/waiter . Definitely going back again.

Came here around 7:30-8:00pm and my friend and I both ordered a bowl of pho. Our server was very quiet and quick to get us out of the way. Our bowls of pho were cold and the broth was over salted, they also don't have dark meat chicken for the pho which tends to be less dry than the white meat. Wasn't worth my money read more

This our first time at the Buckeysrtown Pike location. We have enjoyed the North Market and 7th restaurant for many years. Wonderful food. Come often and try everything. It is very hard to choose a favorite. New location has wonderful ambience and still the best food in town hands down read more

Whoever was answering the phones to take carryout orders on the evening of 9/8/17 was not doing their job. How can a business employ a person who answers the phone and immediately hangs up? Very unprofessional. read more

Our server, Sahar was very sweet. Staff very nice and attentive. Nice setting. Looked clean. The Pho soup was delicious. Would recommend.

Excellent food and service! Could not have asked for a more pleasant experience! I got the pho which was delicious. They will accolade the menu to whatever you're in the mood for. read more

My husband and I have dined at Lucky Corner close to a dozen times in the last 18 to 24 months. We do not live nearby so we make special trips or go there when we are in the area. We have always been pleased with our meals and believe they are cost appropriate. Tonight we took a friend there for dinner and sat at the bar to take advantage of happy hour prices for beer as we are retired and take advantage of deals when we can get them. The bartender was very attentive and made a great effort to "up-sell" the special of the day; scallops and shrimp made with your choice of a variety of sauces which we all decided to order. Our meals were good but when we got the bill we were gobsmacked. Each entrée was $30. We were not told in advance what the cost would be as is typical in restaurants. The meals were good, but they were not thirty dollars good. The bill was 10% of my monthly Social Security check. Although we are fond of the food, this will be the last time we visit Lucky Corner. read more

I will not lie - the food is fantastic. We were regular customers (once a week). The reason that I am giving one star is the service. We came in on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated immediately with menus. We waited and waited - no one acknowledged us. Three waiters ignored us. Restaurant only had about 6 tables full. We watched as the table next to us got their food. We watched as more people arrived and got their drink order. While we were being ignored, we decided to look at the menu. We decided on our appetizers and our main entree. Still no body said "we will be right with you". Nothing - it was like we were invisible. After at least 15 minutes of this, we decided to get up and leave. Upon leaving, the hostess (who had just seated us 15 minutes before), said "Thank you for coming, have a nice day". It was at this time that we told the hostess (and the manager who was standing there) about the horrible service. The manager just said - "oh well we will serve you now". No apology - nothing. It was bad enough that we were ignored but the attitude was horrible. We were just too pissed off to stay. We had already decided what we wanted to eat - something we slowly like to do over drinks. Even though I was really looking forward to eating Vietnamese, we ended up across the street at Texas Road House where were were promptly seated AND SERVED. Next time I feel like Vietnamese Cuisine, it will NOT be at Lucky Corner. read more

This is easily some of the best Vietnamese food in Frederick. They have two locations one is older and feels like a old mom and pop shop, the other is basically a different restaurant it is fancy and feels like a restaurant on the level as the tasting room. The food is very good and their pho is great. I highly suggest going here read more

Absolutely our favorite restaurant in town!! Lucky Corner is so consistent in producing amazing, reasonably priced meals! We love the spicy beef with thick noodles, pumpkin chicken, pho ga, and lemongrass chicken. The new location is beautiful and service top notch- we always enjoy seeing LK & Davis. I could eat here weekly!! read more

We went around 7 PM on Friday, and the wait was not that long. The food was okay at best. We ordered beef pho and pad thai. While my mom was eating her beef pho, she found a piece of plastic in her soup. We brought this to the server's attention and the server said that it was not plastic, but rather a shrimp shell. She said sorry and took the plastic or shrimp from our table. (without asking if she wants a new bowl). Would have been a nightmare if she had an allergic to shellfish. Won't return again for sure. read more

I am glad they opened a new location. Both are very good but this one is much larger. I have not yet had anything that I didn't like. Everything is excellent! Service great as well. read more

Had lunch with a party of 5 today. Seated quickly. Friendly, quick and efficient service. The food was great. We shared a num nuong (grilled pork) appetizer that was sooo delicious! I had tamarind chicken - very flavorful. I lost the bubble on what other folks ordered, but all were pleased with their meal. Will definitely be back. read more

Still absolutely awesome. Can't beat the quality/price ratio. I've had nothing but great meals here and will continue to come back!

The food here is always very good. The Pho broth is full of flavor with the perfect amount of seasoning. I also really enjoyed the Mango Chicken although the first time I had it was alot better. Second time there were only a few pieces of mango that was mushy. Probably wouldn't get this again. I've also enjoyed the grilled teriyaki chicken with vegetables. My only issue is when I ordered this for take out it had very little food. Only 2 pieces of broccoli and 2 green beans. The atmosphere in this restaurant is great with very nice decor and service is outstanding . read more

DISGUSTING - I will eat here again, one of the employees used the restroom and walked out without washing his hands. The staff told me don't worry about it he is just a bus person- I call BS because I watched the waitresses clean there own tables off as we eat. I left all my food on the table and paid my bill then left and then called the manager and he gave me half my money back and asked me to come back, NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN I WILL NOT EAT WHERE EMPLOYEES DON'T & ARE NOT REQUIRED TO WASH THEIR HANDS. I would have fired the employee on the spot. read more

Love their soup! Recommend this place. It looks like a hole in the wall but don't be fooled, this is a hidden gem!

Good food! Lots of variety. Very attentive staff. Their Shrimp red curry was a big hit for our group.

If you're looking for an alternate location to the original, this is it! There are more seats and parking is a lot less of a headache. As previous reviewers said, they are still working out the kinks in their service. I think the only thing was that it took a little long for them to notice we were done eating and to get our check--but I'm nit picking. They sat us down fast, and took our orders in decent time. The appetizers we got, the wonton soup and the crunchy veggie eggrolls came out fast. It did take a little bit longer to get the pho out, but it was okay. My main concern was the quality between restaurants. It's almost indiscernible! I ordered what I usually order at the original location as a point of comparison, and all of the food was just as excellent as the original location. The menu at this location is actually much larger than the previous location. The decor and interiors are also very nice as well. So if you are looking for more variety, more space, and the same quality of great pho, I highly recommend coming here. I will definitely be back here more for my Pho fix. :-) read more
