    Spring rolls
    Amelia D.

After a lovely hike at Cunningham Falls, my friend and I pulled into Fredrick for food and quickly saw Tin Corner online. Since we can never resist Vietnamese food, we popped by and had a delicious experience! We were going to get dumplings, but they were out, so we got the veggie spring rolls instead - so crispy, nice filling, yummy sauce. The order was four spring rolls halves (so 2 rolls), but the flavors were great and definitely worth it. My friend got the pho (vegetarian) and I got the drunken noodles with tofu. Both were very good! The drunken noodles were perfect, with a little kick, but not too spicy (good, since my spice tolerance isn't amazing). The tofu wasn't soggy/oily too, which was nice. My friend's pho was good and came with a very traditional mountain of greens and bean sprouts, which she enjoyed. I will say I was confused that they also had things like Latin food on the menu, which I can't vouch for, but if you stick with the foods that are more classically Vietnamese/Thai, it seems like they do that very well! Service was quick and the prices were wonderful. It seems to be a local lunch favorite, as several parties came seemingly from work, so I hope they continue to do well!

This is a great little Frederick find! We came here (a party of 12) for Mother's Day. The food was fantastic and the service was rendered with a smile! Every dish was absolutely delicious, served hot and flavorful! With our massive party I can't remember exactly what everyone ordered but I was very pleased with my vegetarian fried summer rolls and tofu curry. The special of the day was absolutely spectacular and all of our party really loved their meals! I seldom give a 5/5 stars but we will definitely be back!

Where is the rest if my $3 vinegar onion

Restaurant empty at 130pm should have been a good sign for me that this will not be a good pho experience 1. pho dac Biet large : came out lukewarm and broth not as clear but rather cloudy Barely any meat and bowl size in regular at most and not large 2. Vinegar onion . Wow! $3 for a few shredded onions 3. Even the hoisin was not thick. It looks and taste like someone diluted the hoisin sauce to make more out of it 3. Vietnamese coffee. At least they can't screw this one up. Tasted ok. Just not enough condense milk At least service was prompt

Although you order at the counter and they have a limited menu (compared to before), the food, price, and service was good.

The food and service has always been fine, but my experience last night ordering through Uber Eats was so poor, that I won't patronize them again. The food took more than an hour for delivery, which I expected; it was a Friday night and I knew they were busy. However, we ordered Crispy Tamarind Chicken as an entree and they forgot to include the sauce with the vegetables which goes on the chicken. Without it, it's just a pile of fried chicken. I tried calling the restaurant, but more than 15 calls went directly to voicemail and I couldn't leave a message because their voicemail was full. This has happened before when we have tried to call in a take out order. When they finally answered, the woman said she would check with the kitchen and then told me they could remake the sauce, but I would have to come pick it up because they were so busy. By this time, it was at least 45 minutes since the chicken had been cooked and it would have taken me at least 40 minutes to go pick up the sauce, so I refused. She said they would not refund me; I had to complain to Uber Eats. They know they are going to be busy on Friday nights; lack of staff is a continuing problem which never seems to be addressed and they need to upgrade their phone system and answer their phone. The kitchen staff is sloppy; there is no excuse for forgetting one of the main components of a dish. It would have been nice if they had at least apologized. As much as my husband likes this place, there are plenty of other great options in Frederick and they are where I'll be eating in the future.

SU ordered Kung Pao Shrimp, her "go-to" and every Asian restaurant, and compares each one to China Garden's version. Her verdict: Modern Asia's was "OK", and she told me I could eat the leftovers for my lunch. I did. My verdict was the same: OK, but nothing to write home to Mother about. (My comparison, BTW, is to a restaurant we enjoyed in Ithaca New York that made Kung Pao with peppers that would flay your face from the inside if you dared to eat one. Modern Asia's didn't even tickle, making it a let down). I ordered Seafood Combination Chinese Yellow Curry, a new dish for me. It was yummy. Described as one-pepper spicy on the menu, it had less heat than the Kung Pao, but the curry sauce had layers of flavor. It featured shrimp, scallops, and calmari plus a wonderful mix of peppers, onions, and other veg. All were nicely (crisply) cooked, even taking into account the Door Dash delivery time. I really enjoyed it. Next time I may ask for a bit more heat, but as it is, I hoovered up every morsel. Try it - you'll like it!

Me and my friend ordered four $6 appetizers since we made it for happy hour. Score. We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures of the food. Ugh. The decorations are cute and the table settings are fancy and thoughtful. The service was normal, slightly slower but not horrible, food does come about relatively quickly! (For a lunch time break) I had gotten a couple of dishes with my wife. Crying tiger steak as an appetizer and Pad Thai the Sizzling Beef for myself. My wife enjoyed her Pad Thai and I thought it was good a good standard Pad Thai. The white meat was good, not too dry or chewy. Always an easy safe dish but tender and good! 4/5 The crying tiger steak appetizer was 2/5. The flavor was good was it was just way too tough. If it was cut against the grain it might have been slighter better and tender but hard to know. The dipping sauce was good! The sizzling beef was super tender, like a brazed meat but the meat itself had minimal flavor, the sauce makes the meat. Overall it was good, could've had the flavor imbued more into the meat but still good. 3.5/5 We also got the Thai tea and Thai coffee, they were both good overall. I thought that the Thai tea could've been a little bit more sweet, but it wasn't too bad. Only criticism is that it had maybe a little bit too much ice. The Thai coffee was good, but it had an interesting flavor to it like...something that wasn't fitting? I don't know how else to explain it, however, might order again to see. Also had too much ice. Overall, good place to get a meal or have a date. Would like to try some more things and come back again!

Perfectly cooked noodles, tons of flavor, and just the right amount of heat. I may or may not have helped myself to more than a few bites while he stepped away... sorry, not sorry. I went with the red curry with coconut and chicken, loaded with fresh vegetables. It was rich, fragrant, and completely slurpable. Exactly what I was craving.
