Great food, great service - all the employees are so kind and accommodating! This place is always a constant in the Frederick area -- have ordered a variety of their items (Pad Thai, Red Curry, Green Curry, Khao Soi, Brûlée Rice Pudding) It's all delish - I also highly recommend the spring roll appetizer it's super crispy and the sauce is yummy! The ambiance of the place is vibrant and really well put-together. Staff is friendly and food service is quick. The food can out steaming hot and so fresh. I got the shrimp pad Thai for my main dish and for appetizer I got the papaya salad. The salad was good to the last bits and I'm not ashamed to say I drank the remaining juicy dressing as it was so delish!!! My husband got the Peking duck eggroll and he enjoyed that for appetizer. We ordered the crab rangoons, chicken wings, pad thai with shrimp and crab fried rice with an aperol spritz on happy hour (which they have everyday btw) NOTHING disappointed. Everything was absolutely cooked to perfection and flavors on point. Ive never had a wing so crispy with a good sauce to meat ratio and the filling in the crab rangoon wasn't your typical filling it was just divine. Pad thai had a great amount of sauce, crab meat on the rice was generous too. I will be coming back and trying a bunch more. I saw a few other items i wanted to try but we were already stuffed. What a beautiful restaurant! The lighting, the decor, even the "Hey Beautiful" sign in the bathroom made me smile. It is very welcoming and relaxing. The service was wonderful - our server was very kind and answered our questions. She even apologized when she said they were out of Ube ice cream! As a first time customer, I was very impressed by how quickly everything came to the table. The set up of the Iced Thai Coffee is very clever. Service was good, but since we did not sit down for table service, so this is not a full dining in review. Will return for a full dining in experience. We wanted some Thai food and stopped over at Kittiwat. One of my favorite foods is red Curry so I was looking for something similar. I chose the pumpkin Curry and my hubby chose Kimchi Fried Rice. The flavors of the pumpkin Curry were so amazing, this dish has now become my favorite and I will look to have it everywhere I go and be disappointed! There were big pieces of chicken and big pieces of pumpkin but also had a kick of spice! (chef's kiss). I thought it was weird that the crispy pork is beer battered. I won't get that again because it's not your traditional Thai way of doing that. The service is nice. Thai ice coffee is fancy and they make the ice cube out of coffee. They don't have all the traditional Thai sauces to serve on the side. The spicy basil is more soupy for some reason. Instead, we encountered a series of issues that left us shocked and sick (literally). * A wasp landed on our friend's arm mid-meal. I managed to kill it with a cloth napkin and asked the staff for a fresh one. Their response? "It was on the food tho right?"--no concern, no apology. * My partner ordered his usual seafood pad cha. Inside one of the mussels was a tiny crab. Not a garnish--an unsettling surprise that raised serious questions about food hygiene. We tried to brush it off. * I ordered the yellow curry noodle dish I've had many times before. This time, the chicken drumstick was frozen and raw in the center. I alerted the staff and the owner. They silently took it away. No apology, no explanation. I ordered the pumpkin curry instead--only to find it undercooked as well. Thankfully, it was vegetarian. No one acknowledged the issues. No comps, no concern, no accountability. We spent the rest of the night in the bathroom--each of us sick and stunned by how far this place has fallen. I write this with genuine sadness. I normally order my food to go, but recently went on a triple date and ate in the restaurant. Eating in the restaurant was a game changer! The vibes and decor inside are stunning and the food presentations were unique. I found it interesting that when you order food online you can choose your heat level (somewhat required) but in person you order as is, unless you specify. There was also a rule on the menu that said no refunds if an item is listed as spicy and was too spicy for your palette. That made me laugh. The resturant was completely empty during happy hour and we asked to sit outside they said we can't sit outside because it's busy (mind you it was completely empty) but if we did takeout we can sit outside. Which was very odd. We said we will eat inside and just stepped out on the patio. When we returned in the food was served and cold. The selection of dishes was impressive. We started with a variety of appetizers before progressing to the entrees. My seafood drunken noodles was packed with shrimp, squid, scallops and clams. What a cute gem found in the midst of a strip mall. We were so hungry after a round of golf and wanted something Asian and filling! The best surprise was to find that it was not only large portions but absolutely amazing food! The flavors were rich and deep and I loved every bite! But be aware... the spicy levels are not what you have had at other Thai places. I got level 2 and it burned my lips and 3 hours later it's still burning. Level 3 was paralyzing to my friend who loves spicy food. I just want you to order with the proper respect. The wings are a perfect appetizer... sweet balancing the spicy and perfectly crisped without the crazy amounts of batter you find in most wing joints. The best dish by far is the Herbal chicken! You have to get it!!! The fried Thai basil leaves over the perfectly cooked chicken pieces with spicy glaze! Perfection! The sauce was so good especially when I mixed it with the rice The dish itself was really good but I do wish they added a little bit more chicken. I don't know if that's how it usually is when dining in I would also like to try this dish with beef. I think it would be really good. Great local Thai restaurant in Frederick. We came for an early dinner on a Saturday. They have a nice happy hour that includes discounted drinks and some fried appetizers. If we hadn't deliberately went to find it we might have passed right by, as it's kind of bunched up with some other businesses. BUT-- I am very glad we tried to find it, as this was the best Thai I've had in a long time! The indoor seating area isn't huge, but it's cute and the staff was great. We had the "fritter" appetizer (a little bit of everything) and I'm not even 100% sure what everything was, but it was all delicious. For 2 diners, it really could have almost been a meal by itself. For mains we had crispy chicken pad thai and chicken pad cashew. Both were great BUT the cashew sauce was CRAZY good. The only reason I'm giving a 4 is because the food took a liiiitle long to come out, but also because I want to come back and try more stuff and I need room to improve the score. read more

The texture was on point and it had a great dipping sauce. We also had the summer rolls with tofu and veggies. Checked out this place with some co-workers for some Thai food while in town on business. The food was excellent. I had the Tom Goong soup and crispy rolls - all very delicious. My co-workers had the salmon and curry with tofu. They both enjoyed their dishes as well. The place was not busy, but we waited about 15 minutes before anyone came over besides setting the water down when we sat down. The wine selection was minimal, but adequate. You get a healthy pour in a smallish glass, so no room to air the mid-grade wine. I'd recommend a cocktail, beer, or Thai tea instead. Other than that, it was enjoyable. If I could rate this restaurant solely based on customer service, I'd give them a 5/5! Everyone we spoke to was super friendly and took care of us the whole time. We got seated right away, got help with deciding what to order, and our waiter packed up our lefts overs very nicely when we were done. Out of everything we ordered, the drunken noodles (pad see euw) was my favorite. The chicken and broccoli were cooked just right and the noodles were nicely charred. The shrimp parcels were good but somewhat forgetful, and the papaya salad could've used more flavor and spice (we asked for a level 3 spice but it tasted more like a 1-2). I'd go for a 4-5 next time. I forget what the special lunch dish was called but it was pretty good. It could've used some balsamic dressing or a sauce on the side. This was my first time visiting Kittiwat Thai, and overall I had a great time! It's a fun atmosphere (clean, open and bright) and the service was top notch. Absolutely delicious! the range of "classic" combinations is really broad and each time my taste buds thank me for Kittiwat!
