Third time, no good again and said we wouldn't come back. Today we came back because we were in the area and we were hoping it got better. I got the bun rieu and my family got pho. Every time we eat here...1) the portions are skimpy, 2) they really don't care about the quality of their food 3) we are always still hungry after we eat here. I'll post a pic of the bun rieu I got, it was barely a bun rieu. It was like a hu tieu with annatto oil. They put these mushrooms in it, then two shrimp balls, 2 shrimps, 1 barely small pork rib knob, and tofu. If you know Vietnamese food you know this isn't considered bun rieu, $16... I don't get it. I feel bad for the people that order this food and think it's Vietnamese food. Another reason why we won't be returning is because the owner was ripping into his employee right in front of patrons. The way he was talking to his employee was super disrespectful and should've been done in private or at least lower your voice. I would say the conversation lasted almost our whole dining experience. That was the last straw for us. If you're trying to teach life lessons or trying to better your employee, handle it better. The way you treat your people shows how you handle your business which is...poorly. Btw the toilet in the bathroom makes no sense. It's a square toilet and not friendly for women customers. It's the dumbest toilet I've ever seen. I'm honestly just more upset for the employee. he was super nice when taking our order. And has always been kind the times we went there.

Found this cute little sushi spot tucked away in downtown Frederick! I missed happy hour, but…read morehonestly, there was still plenty on the menu to keep me interested. Started with the lemongrass mojito and pork belly--both were flavorful and definitely got the meal off to a good start. For the main event, I went with the Mt. Fuji, which has lump crab in the middle, and the Lady Rainbow roll. Both were delicious, beautifully presented, and gave me exactly what I was looking for from a sushi night. The atmosphere is also a whole vibe--cute, intimate, and aesthetically pleasing. Definitely a spot that would be fun for a date night or girls' night out. One thing to note: you do have to climb stairs to get in, so keep that in mind. I'm not sure about wheelchair accessibility. Overall, a cute downtown Frederick find! I'd definitely come back to try more from the menu.

He politely took us to our table. We then looked at the menu and decided on drinks. For drink I ordered the sugar cane mojito. It was a good balance between the sugarcane and liquor. It was absolutely delicious. For food we ordered multiple appetizers such as the edamame, pork belly, octopus ceviche, and egg rolls. The pork belly stole the show as it was super tender and very well seasoned as well as cooked to perfection. For entrees I ordered the dragon lady, rockfish and salmon sashimi, and the spicy salmon roll. The sashimi was delicious it was very flavorful. The dragon lady roll was very unique with cajun salmon and avocado. The spicy salmon roll was delicious as well. Overall, it was a great experience. I hope to be back soon.

It is very causal inside. They offer carry out and dine in. If you dine in, you order from the touchpad kiosk or the register and your food will be delivered to your table. I asked about the vegan options and the employee was so sweet and patient as she went through what on the menu I could order. Since I drove a long way for this food I ordered the fried spring rolls, steamed vegetable buns, scallion pancakes, sesame balls, and the vegetable and tofu noodles with knife cut noodles. Everything j ordered was fantastic. The noodles are a HUGE portion size. Even if I had not ordered all the other appetizers I would not finish this meal in one sitting. It is well worth the price and the flavor was fantastic! It tasted a little grilled. I loved how many vegetables were thrown in. They have chili oil at the table and I recommend topping the noodles off with that. It was perfection. The steamed buns were fantastic and tasted great with a little chili oil. The scallion pancakes were so flaky and crispy. The fried spring rolls were pretty standard. They were fried just the right amount where they were crispy and not oily. They still had a lot of lightness. The sesame balls are such a winning dessert. So glad I could end my meal with that sweet note. I definitely plan to drive back from Rockville for seconds. This is a true local gem and I am thankful for their variety of vegan options.

(I understand they are new and working out some kinks) It ended up being over thirty minutes late and the food was just okay. I felt like the stir-fried chicken and noodles had a grilled / hibachi flavor - which I like - but there were too many onions and nothing was memorable for me. Flavors were just average... I ordered cucumbers and those were flavorful and I would orders those again. I would like to know what knife cut noodles versus hand pulled are... (My picture / order was hand pulled.) The braised tofu is a cold dish and it has a clear your throat level of spice- a little sneaky! This dish was a little salty for me. It was better than local casual chains like Panda Express but a little boring (I'm sorry! I really wanted to love it). Many people are loving it though- and I would try again in the future.

Ordered the crispy chive cakes - very crispy outside and chewy inside. The kapow was also quite tasty. Very flavorful but a little on the salty side, which the steamed rice comes into play. She got her go-to Pad Thai with shrimp, and I tried a lunch combo with three things I've never had: a little papaya salad, terrific spicy drunken noodles with chicken, and a delightful mango sticky rice dessert. She judged her Pad Thai to be as good as she's ever had, and she's tried many. I thought the satay was a bit dry. The papaya salad was refreshing and interesting, the drunken noodles were firey and memorable, and I may have discovered a new favorite with the mango sticky rice. Everything came out quickly, and the server handled the rapidly filling dining area well. We'll be back for more!

Let me first begin by saying I'm SO glad I didn't read these reviews before trying bc I would've…read moremissed out on a gem in Damascus. I've honestly avoided all Chinese take-out in town bc compared to down county, I knew I'd be disappointed. On this occasion I didn't want to pay for Door Dash and decided to give this spot a try based on some of the dishes they offered. Being a NY transplant, I'm somewhat of a snob when it comes to Chinese take-out. Things like Szechuan being listed repeatedly leads me to feel more confident about ordering (hence why I took the leap of faith.) My boyfriend ordered general chicken, a good neural option to gauge. I ordered him the dinner option which comes with soup and an egg roll. I think it's a good value considering the portion of chicken and rice as well as the two side items. I saw his food and I was impressed even just at looking, the chicken looked great. He really enjoyed all of it. I tried the wonton soup and thought it was excellent, the broth was darker which generally adds to the flavor. I got out of my comfort zone and tried a dish I haven't had before. I tried the beef Singapore rice noodles, spicy. As soon as I saw it, I knew I made a solid choice. There was a Szechuan pepper right on top, immediately knew I was in good hands. These noodles have the heat of Szechuan paired with a curry flavor, and honestly it gave me more of a Thai hear which I was really craving. We shared an order of the Szechuan style string beans. Again, something that immediately upon visual inspection from the peppers and cooking of the string beans would be excellent. Perfectly cooked so that there's a bite, and a lower heat so it can be tolerated among those less favorable of spice. I ordered through the web link on google and had no issue with my food being prepared in time. When I went inside, visual inspection gave that this place was once a spot that people sat to eat. However with the line of about 5 people, the phone ringing off the hook, and the stacks of take out containers I knew that this was more for carry out. I was impressed by the speed of the woman behind the counter and the quality and portions for the price were more than fair. If you're anything like me, and more reserved about trying Chinese take out in a small town, give this spot a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed! We know personally speaking that until the experience I described above falters, that we will remain loyal to little far east!
