They are lying to customers about the coverage and when we contacted Miguel at the Happy Valley service desk he was more than rude and said to call another 800 number. The employees are hard to find, when you do find one they are to busy using the palet jack to help customers. We were told someone would help us in the plumbing dept. No one ever helped us. Bought a refrigerator. Paid for delivery but when they delivered, told me that they would not install because the old one is using a RO system. Never asked me this at the store and must pay another 110.00 to have someone install. Be sure to ask them so you're not surprised after the fact. I've never experienced such awful customer service in a lowes before. Within 5 min of being there, there was a cat fight...almost physical between 2 of the employees. One had medium length blonde hair and the other had short, almost buzzed black hair. I check out and she barely said a word to me. She did ask if I needed help to my car. I said yes. The elderly man who helped me was rude and did not want to really help. I had a 7mo old baby in my hands so it's very difficult to get 5ft shelves on my car. Purchased 15,500 dollars worth of new windows WITH installation and Lowe's sent a company called install partners who sent only 1 person to install 10 windows and a set of french doors. This person was doing such a sloppy half hearted job that I had to step in and help install my own product that I paid to have installed. This technician also reeked of alcohol and had to pay for his own caulking and spray foam (that I clearly was billed for on the invoice) to which he used as little as possible to stretch out the materials to maximize profits. I also had to go myself back to Lowe's to get the correct bolts because the sales person Justen and the window man Kurt both refused to deliver to me so if I didn't go myself the incorrect parts would have been installed. All my complaints with Lowe's have fallen on def uncaring ears and the supervisor from install partners stated I was 1 of 4 jobs where only 1 installer was sent and my problems were nothing compared to the others. So the moral of this story is this, if you want a half @$$ed job with people who do not care about you past your wallet then by all means buy from Lowe's. BTW, I issued a credit card chargeback for the labor portion of my bill, 4,900 credited back to me. If you can't do the job or the homeowner has to do the job then you shouldn't get paid for it. Keeping these people accountable for their actions are the only way to create change because talking to them is a waste of breath. read more

I had to do some painting and needed help locating items and suggestions from the staff and boy were they ever helpful. Nothing like Home Depot, where you have to go and hunt down an employee and when you do they can't wait to get back to their break or whatever was more important than their customer. Stopped in today to get a quote on a custom linen cabinet, talked to one employee in the custom cabinetry and he couldn't help us because he wasn't on shift yet the other employee had "entered 5 into their system" and couldn't help us so they called a Linda to help us, after waiting for over 15 minutes for Linda we decided to leave since it was the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in a big box store! Neither of the employee's we spoke with seemed to care that we decided to leave. I will not spend another cent in this store due to this experience. This one, unlike the one on Scottsdale Road, exists - and it is clean, friendly, well laid out, and nicely stocked. I still don't like the florescent lights at any Lowes as they give me a nearly instant headache, but at this one I don't have to wander for 20 minutes to find the lighting section so I'm in and out in no time, usually with exactly what I need. read more

The employees are knowledgeable.... If you can find them in the store. They all seem to hang out in the front by one of the main entrances. I never seem to find them in the bathroom fixtures section or in garden which are the areas I tend to need help. When I went to purchase an expensive fridge their customer service was great. However their service and quality stop at the door after you leave. They delivered us a faulty fridge that broke after a few months & I have now been out of a fridge going on 6 weeks. Living in AZ being without a fridge for any length of time is not fun, however they do not seem to care to have any rush in giving me a new fridge even after a specialist came to see the old one and comfirmed that it was faulty. Very disappointed in their customer care team. Never again will I be buying appliances from Lowes. read more

Not sure where to start. First, not unhappy with construction but unhappy with the Project coordinator, Shanda Bakker and Jim Porter ( sales installment manager ) an employee that helps Shanda. We gutted both bathrooms with Lowe's Home Improvement doing the work. Picking what we wanted, picking out cabinets, showers, fixtures,toilets, etc. was fairly easy. Pricing....getting Lowe's credit card to pay for everything easy. BUT getting it all coordinated....getting the materials to our home, then having to reorder parts broken in shipment, coordinating contractors ( who are employees if Lowe's ).... What was to take 10 days is going on month 2 or 3.... Been awhile anyway. Jim was very rude to me. After spending 25,000 + he wanted to charge us extra to paint a wall on the outside of the the house where a window they put in had to be restucko. Really!! Told me if I wanted it painted I would have to pay them more to paint it. Needless to say it got painted and we didn't pay more. Each time the contractors came there was always an issue that goes back to Jim / Shanda not being on top of things. Today was to be the last day. Contractors come in....ask where did you put the supplies? What supplies? Yep Jim didn't have them delivered. Contractor had to go to store and pick up the supplies. Got back, no hinges for door, no supplies to put vanity drawers in, ordered wrong size drawer for vanity that got broken, not enough knobs ( I've told them several times you don't have enough knobs ). I picked out expensive knobs....I want knobs where I want them and handles where I want them. Laundry room cabinets were to have knobs....they drilled and put in handles...had to ask them to put the three beeded molding under those cabinets. Mirror in master bath had a piece of molding going up only one side ....uneven....that was not suppose to be there....just writing about it makes me exhausted....yeah they won't be doing our kitchen make over....you can thank Jum and Shanda for that one. Out of all the times I have visited this location I have never left with such discomfort. My husband and I have been working on my daughters nursery over the past couple of months and frequent this location for paint and other supplies. Normally because we do look younger than the age of 25 finding someone to help us or treat us like adults is nearly impossible. I wish I could say this is the only type of discrimination I've felt from this store, but it is not. In our last visit made on 05/04/2018 my Mother Father and husband took a trip there to purchase a new lawn equipment and a couple of plants for our house. Our experience throughout the store was okay although not once did anyone ask if we needed help and when I asked the girl who was in the lighting department to check something for me she never got back. As my parents looked through different lawn mowers I had to use the bathroom upon arriving to the front of the store there where two lady employees who looked me up and down as I passed them while they were gossiping witch made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Finally just when I think all the discomfort is about to leave we get to the front to check out. My dad who has served in the military for the past 22 years goes to an actual cashier lady so he can redeem his discount. She told her friendly goodbye to the person who was leaving who in fact was a Caucasian male. When it was my dads turn who is clearly Hispanic, she didn't ask if he found anything okay or how he was doing just continued to scan. Not until he brought up his military discount did she start acting friendly and as if he was someone she admired. My mom and I caught on right away but didn't feel like saying anything since this frequently happens in this shopping center. Finally it's my husbands turn to pay, once again she continues to smack her gum and failed to give us the same customer experience she gave the previous people in line. His plant was $12 and my onions I was excited to plant should have been $1 but rang up full price. When I asked her to check she told me she could t because she was almost done. When I told her I wanted to exchange them she looked at me as if I ruined her entire day. Because there was a long line I decided I would go back later to return them. I waited a little longer to see how she would great thecaucasion family who was behind them and as I assumed her attitude did a 360 and she was as friendly as could be. Being discriminated because of age color or gender all in one trip was something I never thought would happen. I am more upset than anything that at this day and age my family and I still have to experience incidents such as this one. I'm even more upset that my dad loves his new lawn equipment and that his hard earned money went to such a company. Purchase a lawn mower from Lowes happy valley. I purchased on sale and did not use for about a month. Upon using the mower it started and died. I figured I could take back and receive a new one but NO. I was told no matter what the use if over 30 days old it must go to factory. I told them I did not use within the first 30 days but this made no difference terrible customer service. This is crazy and I will never shop Lowes again. Home Depot here I come. read more

I went in to this Lowe's after having a horrible experience at Home Depot, I went in the store after shopping online and chatting with a representative. I purchase a washer which I was in stock and was held for me till I could come back later in the day. Lowe's not only had my invoice still in the computer, I was rang out with no problems using a military discount even with the item being on sale ( Home Depot does not let you do this), Had help loading the item in to the truck and off to install at home. I could have had it delivered in a day and the old one hauled away. Every employee who walked by me while shopping in the store asked if I needed help and the appliance employees were great. Needed a custom counter top made...seemed pretty simple. Arrived to pickup counter and it was scratched and scuffed. I refused delivery and they got a little bit irritated, but i explained that this is laminate, it can't be polished out like granite or marble. When they really looked at the scratches, they saw my point and ordered a new one that came in flawless. Turned out ok, but had to put pressure when it shouldn't have been necessary. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Ordered a semi-custom french door in September, measured and paid in FULL a week later. Now the end of January, and still no door. Was told it would take four week maximum to have the door installed. FINALLY after an enormous amount of run around, today was supposed to be the day. Of course no one showed...so call to the store again, manager at lunch, call to the installer, again, and oh, didn't Lowe's call you? Wrong door....so no install...Call to corporate, someone will get back to you...horrible, horrible, horrible, and the nightmare continues. I walked in feb 26 and spent $800 between two toilets and as I was leaving I realized I had a $30 ro faucet un opened still with the plastic bands around the outside that I needed to exchange. I had misplaced the receipt but had please asked if they would just exchange for the correct number. The two girls at the return desk on Feb 26th at 6am told me it was corporate policy and no exceptions. I asked if there was anyone they could call over to make the exception and they said no. So I put the ro faucet back in my truck grab the two toilets I just bought walked back in the store to return those. As I walk up the girl with a little purple in her hair and glasses says says "boy you are determined to return somthing today. I looked at her and said I don't do business with stores that can't make a simple exception for an exchange not a return. She then replied with you know that's perfectly ok it does not impact ME one bit. I didn't know Lowe's preferred to hire employees that give TERRIBLE customer service and feel it's ok because they don't own the company. I rarely return anything and these two girls made me feel like I had stole the product. Do your self a favor and shop at Home Depot. They even offered to return Lowes's faucet for me!!! read more

We ordered a microwave since ours died right before Thanksgiving. We placed our order on November 23rd. Their charge to deliver to our home was ridiculous so we agreed to come pick it up at the store. We were contacted the next day to confirm the order but told our microwave wouldn't arrive until December 7th! I asked why it would take so long and the response I got was "I don't know". So, we struggled through the holidays without a microwave. December 7th arrived - no microwave. I called to check on the order and heard it had only shipped out the day before and would arrive "soon". I asked what "soon" meant and heard "I don't know". I asked to be called back with a definite delivery date. I was called today to hear it won't be here for another week. I asked why it was delayed - the response was "I don't know". I asked why I wasn't contacted to be told it was delayed - the response (you guessed it) was "I don't know". I asked if there was anything the store was willing to do to make up for the inconvenience and terrible customer service and was told "Well, I can't make it get here any faster". TERRIBLE customer service - I will NEVER shop at Lowe's again. read more

This is both a compliment and complaint. I ordered 6 cans of Nano Pro lubricant the morning of 4/24. Several hours later I get a pickup confirmation email. I bought these items because it was on clearance and I really needed them. I don't live anywhere close to the store so I couldn't pick it up immediately. Four days later I had a little free time to pickup my purchase. When I arrived the gentleman couldn't locate my order. He figured out that it was canceled and refunded several days earlier. He asked me didn't I get the message left for me? I explained that I did not. Regardless, I said my order shouldn't have been canceled after I received the pickup notification. The person behind the counter explained the notice goes out automatically, which made no sense to me. Why would a company send a pickup notice without verifying its availability doesn't sound intelligent. I was a little irked that my time had been wasted. Keely the assistant manager stepped in. Her professionalism, calm demeanor, and knowledgeable customer service is a real asset to Lowes. I was figuring she would just say it's one of those things that just happens, not really our fault. She actually stepped up to do the right thing. I told Keely it was very inconvenient to get to that store because it took 45 minutes to get there. She explained she would do whatever she could do to locate the items. It was not easy for Keely, but after contacting corporate, speaking with numerous other stores and more than a few people she located a stock of items at a store out of state. She had that store drop ship it to my home at their expense. I felt Keely went above and beyond what most managers would have done in a similar situation. I am not impressed with the systems Lowes uses to process internet orders but I am impressed with the quality of people Lowes hires to run their operations. I will continue to keep Lowes in mind for my upcoming kitchen and bath remodel. Thank you for having Keely at the Happy Valley store. She is an asset to your company. read more
