My wife and I went to this Lowe's location to purchase a trailer. We hadn't the slightest idea how to go about this. After making the purchase we were told to go to Customer Service to handle the registration (didn't know that was a thing). Ashley, the head cashier, approached us as we stood in line. She helped us get the paperwork situated and signed. Then told us next steps for dealing with the MVD. Next, Rick was in charge of helping us get the trailer attached to our Jeep. We had purchased the trailer hitch off Amazon and it had a 2" ball on it. Unfortunately, the trailer had a 1" 7/8 clasp so it didn't attach. Luckily, Rick was super informed about trailers and got us the parts necessary to get everything to work! He also ensured we got a lock to prohibit the trailer from getting stolen. He trusted us to try out all the parts on our vehicle prior to purchase, so once we made sure everything fit we went back to buy everything. Ashley recognized us in line and went to another register to ring us up, we were in and out in a jiffy! Both Ashley and Rick went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We left Lowe's feeling confident, tended to, and ready to take our trailer camping. One of the best retail experiences ever! read more

It don't take long to be disappointed anyplace...HORRIBLE customer service. Young kid Miguel who helped me at the register had no personality and should be in the back moving boxes instead of dealing with people. I spoke three times to him, "how you doing?" First I thought he couldn't hear me so each time I said it louder before he made and faint "umph" sound . The icing on the cake though was how he never made eye contact and just handed me my receipt with no "thank you, come again". If I wasn't in a hurry I'd have asked to see a manager. Online it showed that had 14 totes. I purchase 10 and go to store to pick them up and they don't have them. They make up excuse after excuse and then keep insisting I cancel my order. Typical Lowe's store. A couple of things set it apart: * even though you usually have to hunt down an associate to get help, they are friendly and helpful once approached. * I find their selection to be better than Home Depot. * Their associates are very knowledgeable. When we had a plumbing issue, they explained it to us in plain english, sold us the part we needed and told us how to fix it and saved the day! * After 6pm, the store dies down and isn't crowded. I had a fence installed, the pallets are rotting,cracked,split, and the support beams also. I also have pallets that have 2inch holes , I know this is common in wood, but you can see thru my fence. The installation company used treated me rudely,disrespectful and harassed me because I was a female. and the Lowes employess where I complained did the same. its been 3 months I have gotten nowhere with my fence. I feel that Lowes lied to me my giving old rotten wood, and they installed by fence with support beams in back when I requested to place them in my yard due to security reasons, they now jump into my yard because of this. Carpet Installation... Since they have "free" installation I thought it would be cheaper. But, somehow they came up with 1100 square feet of charges on 744 square feet of rooms. I know you need extra carpet to minimize seams but 45% more??? Very disappointed. Other carpet installers such as highly rated Taylor's flooring estimated 855 square feet. Of course Ken the assistant store manager blamed the extra 340 square feet on seams. Furthermore, they did not provide any paperwork or price break down whatsoever. Add to that not returning phone calls when they were supposed to and we have a very bad experience. Terrible service to say the least. I will shop at the Tempe location from now on even though it is further away. I don't blame Lowes, I blame that location. read more

Ordered a grill and attachment to be assembled for pick up at a later date on a friday, was told would be ready by wednesday. I made the assumption that it would be ready for a pick up on saturday due to working all week. Called Saturday because i did not recieve a call or email and wanted to have it ready to pick up in the front and was told that my order was unable to be found, manager was supposed to look in to it and call me back, never happened. I had to call back and ask about my order again and was told they had to speak to a manager about my order again. All the manager could say was there was nothing to be done until sunday but i needed it on saturday. Doesnt feel like any attempt was even made to help out a customer. All i got was too bad so sad you have to wait. Will be picking up my grill and update how well it is assembled on sunday. Will never shop at this lowes again. Very poor customer service. I was very impressed with their customer service. I bought granite counter tops and was so excited for my new kitchen. The salesman was great, but after installation I was having issues with stains right away. Lowes not only followed up with me consistently to insure that the granite was replaced by their installer but also follows up afterwards to insure I was happy. Thank you.... After moving into our first home, my husband and I all of a sudden had a lot more need for stores like the Home Depot, Lowe's, and Ace than we ever did living in apartments. Even though we painted a few of the apartments we lived in, we never had to consider things like which air conditioning filters to buy, how to select the right length of extender for light fixtures, and which window coverings to buy. Having always seen commercials for the Home Depot and Lowe's that promise the customer how helpful their staff will buy in making these important and unfamiliar decisions (you know, "we can do it, you can help" and "let's build something together"), I guess we expected a staff that was a lot more proactive and helpful than the one we've encountered at this Lowe's. This Lowe's staff is definitely more helpful than the staff at the Home Depot in Laveen and their prices are more competitive, but we've been disappointed with how difficult it has been to get a staff member to help us (they definitely don't find you; you have to find them!) and to get questions answered. Every time my husband and I have gone in to select a product, we have found the staff to be somewhat absent (we have to had to track down someone to help us) and not all that knowledgeable about the difference between various products or the accessories/add-ons we needed for certain purchases. I wouldn't recommend anyone against visiting this location of Lowe's, especially since their prices and selection are decent. However, I would advise new homeowners or those taking on big home improvement processes to do their homework online and with crafty friends or neighbors before coming in to shop because the bubbly, super-knowledgeable staff from the commercials appear to not actually exist in the real stores! read more

It has been one issue after another with Lowe's! Ordered a security door Aug. 7th, the door came in on Aug. 22nd. It was to be installed and completed by Sept. 4th according to the paperwork where we paid for installation. They finally were able to schedule to have it installed on Sept. 21st. They are unable to install that day because they are missing hardware so now we wait until they can reschedule October 22nd. Over 2 months just to get a door installed is ridiculous and VERY bad customer service! I will not be purchasing anything for my home from Lowe's going forward. read more

Came to this location because they had a refrigerator I wanted to buy. As I entered the appliance department I found two gentlemen who were willing to help me. As it turns out one was a manager. They showed me what I wanted to see and checked for availability. We made a deal. This is so contrary to other Lowes locations I have been to. Employees generally are hard to find and when found are not very interested in helping nor are they very courteous. Even when walking the store and an employee is encountered, they never greet or even look like they have an interest in possibly helping a customer. This location either has a knack for hiring good people or they train their people well - maybe both. I proceeded to the front of the store wanting to speak to a manager about my experience and encountered Alonso. Again, he went out of his way to find a manager and was extremely courteous. Several days later I went back to the store because of a problem with the refrigerator and again was properly greeted and they immediately resolved the problem. Restricting your 10% military discount was a horrible business move!!! In modern times most people like to purchase items online or order on line for easy pick up. Now that Veterans can't use that 10% for online order and then pick up (which still requires you to walk into the store, but not wander around aimlessly with sales associates that know nothing about the products), there's no point in doing a pick up either. Lowes pick ups aren't available till the next day and that's if the associates figured out where the products or are caught up on online orders so we might as well just buy them from Amazon or even Walmart --dare-I-say it. Amazon doesn't provide military discounts, but at least we can shop online and have it delivered to our homes. Restricting online purchases from military discounts is an extremely poor business move in this era when online purchasing is the majority shopper preference. If you're worried about fraud, you already have a third-party contractor verify honorable discharge status from the military. Why does this upset me so much? Because so many products from Lowes are no longer available in the store and you can only find them online. It's almost like Lowes intentionally limits them to online so you can't get a discount. And no, Lowes does not provide better discounts with their online purchases like other stores do. Additionally, as a disabled person who doesn't have the energy to wander around the huge Lowes stores and not receive proper information on products, it's easier for me to do an online order and then just pick it up. While I appreciate your "veterans only" parking, it's going to be empty once people figure out your latest business move. read more

Honestly, I will never visit this store again. I love Lowe's and usually receive excellent customer service, just NOT at this store. I purchased and installed some curtains this week and determined I would need an additional panel. My regular Lowe's sold the panels for $10 79 each (until 9/4/2017) but shows "not in stock." Thankfully (I thought), this location showed numerous panels available so I drove the 12 miles (each way) to buy one more panel and complete the install. I was surprised when my panel rang up for more than DOUBLE ($26.97) so I headed to customer service for a solution. Despite clear evidence of the advertised price for a stated time period, this store flatly REFUSED to honor their own pricing. I understand stores use variable pricing due to variable operating costs but don't understand their willingness to lose a customer over $16. I won't step foot in this store again. read more

Do not ever get anything delivered from this store! I ordered a refrigerator for next day delivery. They called me the morning of the delivery to confirm they would be at my house between 4 and 5pm. No one ever showed up and they did not call me. When I called the store they said their delivery department was gone for the day so they directed my call to the manager. When I talked to the manager he did not know what was going on and said it wasn't his fault because he was not working earlier. He did not agree to compensate me for my time and now I have to take another day off of work to wait for my refrigerator to get delivered. A simple phone call to say they were not coming would have been appreciated, but I got nothing. Lowes has lost a customer for life especially this location! read more

As it is usally not as busy as the other stores, I thought they would value my business and the few thousand dollars I spend each year on home improvements. I fogot my proof of military service and was told to come back witht he receipt If I wanted to get my veterans discount applied. I returned later that day and was told they would not give me my discount. The manager told me the same thing and tried to make excuses for it. I will never drive though the surrounding ghetto again to shop at this store. While it can be challenging finding a salesperson on the floor sometimes, the staff here knows their products and they provide excellent suggestions. Prices are competitive. Most importantly, if there is a problem with a product, the staff REALLY helps. I had an issue with a new refrigerator purchased at the store, and found salesman Peter and managers AJ and Kevin to be dedicated problem-solvers who absolutely stand by their customers and make things right. Great store and while I never thought I would write a fan letter for a home improvements store, Lowes on West Baseline has won my loyalty. read more

Do not recommend for flooring. I thought we were getting a deal. Little did we know the nightmare that was to unfold. We measured the area 100 square feet less than they did. We questioned it but conceded due talks of overage & refund promised. The day after the installation there was a section that started to buckel. That started a series of begging them to call back. Eventually I spoke to a manager that asked me if my last name was sex. Irate I called the corporate number that got the ball rolling on getting call backs. Eventually, that section got fixed, and now I have another section in the middle of the room coming up. I started the calls again. One rep said "yea, I will have them call you back." As she started to hang up, I stopped her by saying "don't you need my name and number." She then said no & hung up. I tried calling back at 3:22 pm. After being transferred around numerous times I was told at 3:51 that the installation leaves at 3pm. Pay a little more & go somewhere else!!! read more
