Hard to imagine a better minature golf place. You start out with the mine car ride to the top of the course. It may be a little more expensive than other golf places, but it was clean and well maintained with a nice family atmosphere. Our kids loved it so much, we played both courses. read more

Ehh.. not too impressed. We paid $21 for the two of us for 18 holes. The course itself wasnt difficult and the surrounding areas was cool and all but just not worht the $$$....where was the train? read more

Fun for the whole family! There were 4 adults in our group and we had a blast. The cost was about $11 per person and included your putter, score sheet, pencil, and ball. We loved the train ride over to the first hole and were tickled by each challenge. Our only critique is that they should provide a vending machine for spare balls near the holes with water hazards. My fiancé's ball rolled into a stream and we were unable to get it back or to find a staff person to help us get a replacement golf ball. He ended up waiting for one of us to finish putting to use a ball. A bit of directional signage after the holes following the pirate ship would have been helpful too. We accidentally skipped a hole and are not entirely sure how we did it. Overall - we had a great time! We went during the evening after dinner, so it was nice and cool and we didn't have to worry about the sun beating down on us. The course closes at 9:00 and I think it took us a little over an hour to finish. Wallet friendly and convenient to our hotel in Kitty Hawk. read more

This place is great. One of the nicer putt putt options in the manteo - nags head- kitty hawk area. Plenty of shade and spaces to sit.

I was very disappointed in this place. I love mini golf, especially when I'm at the beach. Driving down 158, I saw this place and knew I had to go. The course looks phenomenal from the outside--elaborate sets galore. Unfortunately, the actual golf experience was disappointing. The price for one adult to play one round is $9.50. I realize times are tough, but I have never seen a mini golf game that expensive. If the course had been challenging or even entertaining I would've felt better about it. Instead, it was pretty much straight golfing, as in there were very few obstacles, no interestingly shaped greens, nothing to keep the golfing interesting. Overall impression: pretty but definitely does not live up to the hype read more

Easy and fun, I would have given 5 stars but I didn't get a hole in one like both my husband and his friend. Need to return for a rematch.

This golf course offers a ride on a mining cart as part of the course. It gets a little busy in the evenings but well worth the wait. This course was alot of fun. read more

The holes are pretty lame - straight and generic - but it's minigolf so expect the normal affair. $9.50/adult wasn't too bad. Needs some more shade read more

This course is $11/person. After waiting in line for 40 minutes at 8:30pm to receive our clubs, we then were prompted to wait in ANOTHER 10-15 minute line for a 10-12 person, tractor pulled train ride around the property. Maybe they should take some of the profits and invest in a John deere; because, the tractors 'wheel came off.' Because of this we and about 40 people were herded up to the courses entrance. (missed the Train ride, and now had long line of people rushing us that would have been averted due to the cub cadet taking 5-10 minutes). Tried speaking with the manager who at first told me 'mechanical issues happen' and then offered us 'vouchers for my adult family to come back and get a free tractor ride' (literal LOL). All I wanted was future comps (not a $77 refund) since this experience was lackluster and was informed all he could give my family was one (1) free round. The other six would have to repay at full price. I gave this place one star because it is beautifully decorated. I subtracted 4 stars for poorly maintained equipment, non thrilling and short courses, grammatical errors on signs (really?) , nosebleed high price, and poor customer service. There are 3-4 other courses on the strip. Roll the dice because this course is blah. read more

Came off season one late afternoon. Place was full but people moved along quickly. My kids had fun and convinced me to do the second course (which they discount at $5 pp). Courses are well kept and clean. There's a coupon in the outer Banks coupon booklet outside of the Sunsations and Wings stores for $1 off pp. I didn't realize that until afterwards! read more

It was getting pretty late last night so we were looking for a place that was open late, and had good aesthetics. This was a winner! The line to get in was understandably long, mainly because of the train. But the train is a good thing! The train ride takes you to your designated course, you get assigned one of two courses, and the train ride helps to stagger the groups. The staff is really helpful and friendly, they are actively working throughout the courses and available if you have questions or concerns, one of the staff came along and asked if we were doing ok and if we had to wait a long time! It was really busy but there were benches at every hole, the scenery was imaginative and fun, and again, I was very impressed with the management choices, it made sense. Overall definitely one of the best mini golf courses I've been to. Totally worth it! read more

What a scam! The "policy" was to charge one adult per child in our group since we had a large group (10) and the kids were the only ones playing. After the explanation of how this was policy and they can't just let people in to their park to walk around and he was pretty sure that another competitor had the same policy...seriously!?! I'll take my money elsewhere. FYI we went to Mutiny Bay and had no issues with someone trying to take advantage of our group. They even offered a stroller to our family because we had a little one who was sleepy. read more

We had fun despite the heavy crowds. We did not get to choose which course we went on and were disappointed when we were assigned the diamond course that did not include going on the pirate ship. I was happy that the mine cart was working this time. In 2013 it wasn't running (possibly because it was the off-season) This time we rode it up to the top of the diamond course (the other one was gold) and set out to putting. We were all pretty bad, but we had fun. Some of the holes were maddeningly difficult, and some strangely straight shots. We wandered through hot airless caves and next to waterfalls and streams. There weren't enough benches, but it was still a pretty good course. We were stuck behind a huge slow party of 8, with a pair of ADD children behind us, but other than that I have no complaints. Lost Treasure Golf is a nice putt-putt course and a great thing to do in the evening at the beach. read more

Great place for families. They have 2 courses which makes the wait shorter. It's clean and the employees were very helpful.

My five / almost six year old had his first mini golf experience here. As others have said, the course is not super complex (mostly green, not a lot of mechanical obstacles or anything too cool). But for little kids it had the right amount of challenge. We didn't keep score or play trying to "win." We just had fun, and between the pirate ship, the train ride, and his first hole in one, it was fantastic! It's nicely landscaped too so there are caves and waterfalls. This is also nice because you're in the shade a bit. I think a lot of the welcome packets to houses you rent have coupons. We didn't have one but we saw others using them. We came at six on a Wednesday and there was no line but by the time we left at around seven there was a very long line. read more

Slow gameplay and a small difference in playing fields led to this being less than 5 stars. Though, overall, it was a pretty good course. Friendly service greets you when you come in and the course is pretty impressive. The course has tons of waterfalls and even a ship you can put on! read more

Way too much fun! Train ride to kick off the game and 2 18-hole courses. $10.75 for adults to play. Not cheap, but worth it!

Super cute mini golf. I like how there are two courses to play. I would assume that would help keep the next group from pushing you while you are playing. We came in October, so there is barely anyone here. The Train ride to the top adds a star. That is unique and fun for the kids. The holes are well maintained too. read more

I've done a lot of mini golf and this is the best one I've been to yet. The course is fun with a nice lost treasure theme that is actually carried out consistently through the course. I've been to more than a few that don't carry the theme through beyond a few props. You begin by walking through a short tunnel that sets the mood. After you buy tickets and pick your clubs there is a train/minecar that takes you to the top. It was out of service the day we went so I look forward to coming back next year to try it out. The course is well maintained and everything is in good condition. The guy at the ticket counter was friendly. My kids loved the course even though both refused to let me show them how to correctly hit the ball and my youngest tended to use her plastic club to scoot the ball into the hole. They had such a good time they want to go back again but that was our last day in town. They did not have that reaction to mini gold last year and I think it's because this particular course is a better course than where we went last year. It was more fun and better maintained than previous mini golf places I've been to in OBX. read more

Fun, fun, fun! My five year old got a kick out of the little mining train that takes you to the first hole. Staff could be a touch friendlier, but oh well. read more

Very fun course, well-maintained. They lose one star for price (very high for off-season) and another for the cranky guy running the place this morning, who was clearly annoyed to have customers interrupt whatever he was doing. read more

Awesome date night that wasn't very busy for just after sunset. You have to take this cute little train to the start of the course and with 2 courses being offered, they are really good at balancing the people so the experience doesn't get congested. The holes could have been a bit more challenging and the bathroom easier to get too but all in all, it was a fun night. read more

My husband and I love to mini-golf, and as we drove past this course, it looked really neat. We decided to stop and see what it was all about. It was a really cool mini golf course. You started by riding a train (coal car) up to the top of the course, where you were either assigned the gold course or the diamond course, we got the gold one. The course was pretty easy, and there wasn't anything that really stood out at each hole, but it was really fun. The staff was very friendly. It was a bit pricey, but hey, we were on vacation! read more

Looks like an interesting and fun place. Too bad they don't stick to their stated hours. They stated they were open to 10:00. We stopped by at 8:15 and they were closed. read more

This place is overpriced with boring, lackluster courses. All the excitement comes from the pirate ship and the waterfalls. The holes themselves have little to no flair and limited obstacles -- no hills, turns, statues, nothing. Half of the holes we shot were straight on. Very boring and not worth the money. read more

Wow. Can't beat it. Plenty of shade. Not boring flat holes. Well kept. Great customer service. And a train ride to first hole. Two courses to split up any overflow of customers. Go here. read more

Played the Gold Course in late August. Greens are in great shape and the ball rolls very true. The Professor Hacker's Pirate theme is neat with lots of stories posted on signs at most holes. On the negative side the holes are quite simple, short and straight forward. Course played very very slow. The holes with water were covered with algae. Better courses are available. The new course in Corallo--Adventure Golf with Bumber Cars--puts this place to shame. read more

The train ride to the course was fun and unexpected! 2 courses and both were great! Prices are comparable to everyone else's

Clean and nice environment. The holes and course are well maintained. The staff is friendly. Probably one of the nicer mini golf places I've been to in a while. We played in the rain and that was actually fun. read more

Very fun place. $42 for 2 adults and 2 kids. You take a train to the first hole. They have 2 courses and divide groups so it doesn't get too busy. They have water, Gatorade, and ice cream novelties for sale. Note: we went on a Friday in August and it opened at 9 am. read more

After a few days at the beach my kids were all things pirates! The GOLD course has the PIRATE SHIP. The holes were better than I expected & had plenty of challenge to them for our group (ages 5,6 & 9). My oldest even got a hole in 1- but it wasn't the mystery hole. The line (after dinner & summer) was really long. We had to wait to pay and then wait again to ride the train to the top. After that it wasn't bad. Most groups in front of us moved at a reasonable pace & we didn't wait long to play the next hole. Fun night!! read more

Great, clean place with fun challenges for young and old. Staff at the window were nice but train driver acted "inconvenienced" by our small group. The kids LOVE the extra excitement of the train but be sure to call in advance to make sure it's running. read more

Great time. Went with the family (kids 6,8,10). Someone posted that it was an easy course, we are golfers and did not think it was and easy course. Some of the holes were rather challenging especially for the kids. Very cute decor and fun train ride to take you to the start. We waited a while to start but it moved along know we started playing. read more

Fun course, my kids love it. It even had a train ride.

We went here as a family for an evening activity during Memorial Day weekend. The kids had a blast and we ended up doing both courses available. The decor is typical of mini golf, but still fun. The holes were pretty simple but when you have young kids they are perfect enough to not be too hard and still be fun. Us adults even had a friendly competition too! The place had a steady flow of business the entire time we were there but it never got too crowded that there was a bunch of hold up on the holes. read more

The train ride is a nice touch. Felt that it was a pretty good value. Holes were a little basic but we still had a good time.

According to the kids, this is the best Putt Putt in OBX. Very long wait and limited parking on premise, but parking at the Church just down the street was allowed. Get there early as night golf is very crowded. read more

There's no denying that the landscaping of this place is adorably tacky and unsurprisingly attracts any family staying in this area of OBX. They have a train ride and two courses, which are brilliant ways to try and stagger the crowds and keep from pile up. That said, the actual hole designs are not particularly creative. We played on the gold course, and the holes were primarily straight shots (one multilevel hole, a small few with barriers). We weren't necessarily looking for anything difficult, just interesting, especially given the amount of money they must have spent on scenery. The service was also just okay--the girl in the window was nice enough, but the boy operating the training could not have looked or acted more bored if he tried. Overall, it was fine but not exceptional. read more

Only four stars because it was expensive ($30 for three of us, including a 4-year old). Course was fun, well maintained, and interesting for a pirate lubber! Starts with a train ride- great way to start! read more

Clean course and friendly staff. Most boring mini golf ever. Great for very young kids.
