We had the best time at this putt putt course with our two small children, ages 4 & 1! They loved the dinosaurs, waterfalls and caves! It wasn't crowded when we arrived at 5:30 which was perfect for how slow our gals were playing. The course needs a bit of upkeep, which is the reason for my one star deduction, but that really didn't matter much to us. Some of the greens were tattered and a few loose bricks etc. It is cash only but they have an ATM on site! The holes weren't too challenging either which was a plus with kids. They even have a cute little putter for the smallest kids! Of all the courses we have been to, this one is the one to get the bang for your buck if you have small kiddos! read more

Bottom Line: Cash only and definitely worn but a good price and not crowded. My nephews are miniature golf fanatics and when it comes to putt putt at the Outer Banks they really like Jurassic Putt because there are two courses and it's never crowded. The course is really dilapidated - wrinkled turf, loose bricks, concrete falling off the rebar at the caves and dinosaurs that are missing chunks. But, my nephews don't seem to mind and one of them even pointed out one of stegosaurus' bony plates being in the bushes. Funny. The draw for Jurassic Putt for me is that during the day we you can play both 18 hole courses for $10 total. Five dollars for 18 holes of golf is a great deal. There is a little bit of shade at this course but mostly inside a few caves and in the shade of a few trees. This course is cash only but they do have an ATM. read more

The greens and area around needs updated. Mosquitoes were really bad. There was nothing interesting at any holes except the cave. The water features were pretty, but did not make up for the lack of other things. read more

Sign and website both stated they were open til 11. Our group arrived at 9 and waited a few minutes for the remainder of our group to arrive. At 9:15 we walked up the ramp only to be told we didn't have enough time to get our round of golf in before closing and that we weren't allowed to start. The kids were so excited for the dinosaurs so it wasn't much fun telling them we couldn't do it. We'll be going elsewhere to mini golf from here on out. 1 star because I had to choose or I'd have picked none. read more

Tourist trap. Its cash only which is weird but if course they conveniently have an ATM right by their window. Its 9 dollars to play one side of the small course. A good time but the specials that are are the standard rate. Several spots on the TREX course has the green warped up and the concrete dinosaurs are really showing age. Played this course years ago but I am assuming the weather mixed with normal wear from use it starting to take its toll. Loved the Dino theme! It was super fun because along the course were signs telling what many of the Dino statues were and facts about them such as height and weight. I enjoyed this course and it's a different theme than many other courses in the OBX area (they're all pirate theme). read more

This is such a fun 36-hole putt putt course! We got the unlimited plays bracelet before 5pm for $10/person, so we played both of the courses (Raptor and T-Rex). Quite frankly, a steal at this price. The only thing keeping this from a 5-star experience is the course and grounds do show their age, and could do good from a little TLC to put some life back into the property. read more

This place has been around a very long time and it shows. Many of the dinosaurs are completely gone or destroyed nowadays. The courses are uninspired and just not good. I really think they need to make some effort to bring this up to "par" with other courses in the area. ;) read more

I gave this two stars because there were giant papier-mache dinosaurs. You can't HATE that. Feel free to hate everything else. Putt-putt for $7 a game sounds a little absurd wherever you go. But look past the dinosaurs and you begin to realize that almost every putting green is exactly the same. Personally, I like to mix my putt up a bit, live on the edge. Luckily, we glanced around first before wasting our well-earned $14 to play what surely would have been a pitiful game for two. Instead we took our cash and went literally 20 seconds up the street to Blackbeard's Golf and Arcade. Better greens for less green to satisfy the picky putter in you. read more

Pros: - The course is clean and well-kept. Nothing was broken or out of place. - The holes are relatively easy, so this is a good place to play with young children. All the holes are par 2, so nothing is overly tricky. - There were no problems with mosquitos, a common issue with many other mini-golf courses. Cons: - It's a cash-only business, which is not very traveller-friendly, in my opinion. Any business that caters to tourists should take credit or debit. - Although the simplicity of the holes makes it easy for kids, it was rather uninteresting for me as a grown-up. A better balance of easy and hard would have made it more fun for everyone. - Mini-golf courses should have some interesting things to look at. Although there are some large models of dinosaurs, there was not much else going for it. Overall: A decent place to take the kids mini-golfing. Just don't expect the adult handlers to have as good of a time as the little ones. read more

Our first time at this putt putt, and we had a pleasant experience. I do think it's one of the older and more run down parks, the kids got bored halfway through. Many of the dinosaurs were cracked or broken and very fragile. The good news is it wasn't super crowded. For the price it was a nice activity. If you don't mind shelling out $8 for a game when a short drive north will provide you with more options at $5 a game, then this place is ideal for you. The holes were very boring to put it bluntly. There are some mildly attractive scenery but upon closer inspection most of the dinos are in disrepair. The gardens were well kept, but that's not what I paid to see. You'd be better to drive up the strip towards kitty hawk to one of the 4 other mini golf locations which are better kept, more interesting and cost less. read more

It was fun, but not the most fun I've ever had mini-golfing. They offer 36 holes, broken up into two 18-hole courses, and before 5PM you can play both for the price of one. But in 95 degree heat, it's just too much. The course is very basic. There aren't many fun obstacles or challenges, just redundant curved greens. There are some waterfalls, and holes in caves though, which can be fun for little kids. The course itself is well-maintained, but the decorations could use some updating. If you are looking for basic mini-golf, this is a good place, but I would recommend Mutiny Bay Adventure Golf (which I also reviewed). read more

Could definitely use an update or two though (lumpy putting greens that deter the ball from the hole, hard to identify which hole your on due to aged numbering, staff was ehh on the day I went with 12 family members.) This place is really pretty terrible. The holes are completely unimaginative. No bumps, curves, funnels, obstacles or anything. The only decoration is the paper mache dinosaurs, which are in a state of disrepair. The greens follow the terrain, nothing more. A few of the holes are submerges in foul brown opaque water. Other greens are soaked in this water. There is a waterfall system, but it is green and stagnant in some parts. The only thing that redeemed this for me was the sighting of three different wild rabbits during my round. 8 dollars a person for this course is highway robbery. Avoid at all costs. read more
