Jurassic Park on southbound Hwy 158 around MP 16.

Bottom Line: Cash only and definitely worn but a good price and not crowded. My nephews are miniature golf fanatics and when it comes to putt putt at the Outer Banks they really like Jurassic Putt because there are two courses and it's never crowded. The course is really dilapidated - wrinkled turf, loose bricks, concrete falling off the rebar at the caves and dinosaurs that are missing chunks. But, my nephews don't seem to mind and one of them even pointed out one of stegosaurus' bony plates being in the bushes. Funny. The draw for Jurassic Putt for me is that during the day we you can play both 18 hole courses for $10 total. Five dollars for 18 holes of golf is a great deal. There is a little bit of shade at this course but mostly inside a few caves and in the shade of a few trees. This course is cash only but they do have an ATM.

Honestly, pretty much what I expected. Cost wasn't horrible considering it's in a tourist destination and the course was ok. If you are staying close by like we are or were then it's not bad to get the kids out of the house for a couple hours.

This was a horrible course. It is not kept well and poorly managed. I would not recommend. They are much better courses in the area.

My daughter (age 10) loved it. Challenging holes. Two courses. Facts about dinosaurs sprinkled throughout. Good beach activity.

Typical cheesy beach mini golf. There are some challenging and some easy holes. Nothing too exciting with the holes.

Course is easy, the greens are in bad shape. they don't take credit cards. It does go fast though due to lack of shots needed.

I really enjoyed this putt! Most reviews said "great for kids" and "easy putt", but my boyfriend & I enjoyed it quite a lot!

You have your choice of places down here to go, but I highly suggest coming here. We showed up and found out that there could be up to a 20 minute wait to proceed in line. With the staff telling us that up front, we appreciated that. There wasn't any misleading here. I really enjoyed they told us this and appreciated that. Even though you could tell the employees were uncomfortable having to keep saying it to every customer. What is unique about this is that even though you have to wait, there is a putting green in an area before the course starts. So even though you may not get to start your game as soon as you pay, you can still do a little putting. Then the course starts for you. Even though there area a ton of people, it flows. As the group ahead of you finishes a hole, you start. This happens for each hole. You are constantly moving. You ascend, you descend. You follow the footpath and arrows. The theming here is on point as well. The whole pirate theme is carried through nicely. Especially around the Jolly Roger. The water cannons simulating cannonballs being fired. The multiple waterfalls. Also keep your eyes open for some local history. Throughout the course there are informational plaques. Take a moment to read them. Also available is an arcade. Some items in the gift shop. And ice cream.

This course is very well maintained and you can tell the owners take pride in what they do. The…read moreholes are fun and offer a little bit of challenge but still great for the little ones. The pirate theme is throughout and adds a nice touch.

This mini golf was pretty decent. I wanted to give it a 3 and my husband wanted to give it a 4. I…read moreended up giving it a 3 because my husband only reason for giving it and extra star was he said" the courses were great for being a 20 year old mini golf course. I thought they could have done a little maintenance since it was closed down during the Covid-19 pandemic The person checking us in was not real friendly at all. It seemed like we were bothering her. Easy to check in. You pay. You get a coin. You go over to the ball machines. Put your coin in and you get whatever ball color you want. The staff gives you the clubs. The courses are pretty interesting. That part is great. Difficulty was pretty cool. Medium level. The courses were a bit dirty. Bits of debris could have been blown off with a leaf blower. The carpet on one course had a root stopping the ball from going through the hole. One course we lost our ball in the woods into a river (Hole 5) they should have a net to prevent this. So long story short. If they hired a new staff instead of that girl. Cleaned their courses. And did a little maintenance I will give it a 4 star. They had 36 holes but the girl said we could not do all of them at that time it was not available. I think we should have gotten a coupon for a return because we wanted to do all 36 holes. Prices for 36 was great but not for the 18 holes.
