The best mini golf course anywhere. Plus there are always ospreys hanging out watching you play!

The Currituck Golf Club & Course was somewhat of a mediocre experience. The course itself is…read morebeautiful and challenging at times. Since you're on the narrow strip of the island, it can get very windy and of course mess with your game if you're not prepared. The staff were ok, nothing bad, but also nothing great. For the price of the round and everything else, I would've expected a little more and a more memorable experience. You're basically paying a high price for an everyday course. We had a good day, but nothing to write home about.

I would like to start by saying, I have been coming to Corolla for over thirty years and I own a…read morerental property in the Currituck Club. I have seen this course go through good times and bad, both conditions and staff. I will say, that this is a great course and I have always enjoyed playing here! That being said, the course is in decent shape with the exception of the greens. Players (hackers) are not repairing ball marks or taking care of the course (common etiquette). I played this week and observed the following: The pro shop allow groups of five players, extremely slow play ( no rangers to be found anywhere), players hitting three and four tee shots each, three foursomes on one hole with a fourth pulling up to the tee box, players in the woods for extended periods of time looking for balls, players playing balls from out of bounds (people's yards) and players driving carts where they don't belong (next to the green) !! The pro shop is obviously taking full advantage of dynamic pricing, at $180- 200 per round during the week, maybe if the course was in top shape and it was being maintained and managed properly!!! Played two rounds, no beverage cart in sight. I will wrap up this review by saying, I am extremely disappointed with how the course is being run and maintained, to charge the premium prices and have the conditions be what they are is ridiculous!! To the management and staff... it's not about the quantity of play, it's about the quality! This is a beautiful course and it deserves better!

This one is shorter and flatter but just has fun and challenging. They get you checked in and ready with your cart. They have 2 putting greens & a driving range. They have a few challenging water holes. The wind can add another element of difficulty. Beautifully maintained course. Nice 19th hole bar. I would definitely play here again.

I got paired up with Marty and George. Two guys about my age who were visiting from Upstate New York. They were joined by their two sons and a daughter-in-law. We teed off at 7:30a with an overcast sky and temps in the low 70's just perfect golf weather if you ask me. There was no one behind us and no one in front so we were right on stride with similar games. I like the 5 different tee box options. The tee boxes are wide, grassy, well maintained and well marked. The fairways were wide with not a lot of trouble if you did happen to go wide. Even the 'out of bounds' was friendly. There is a fair amount of water but it does not really come into play except on four holes. Hole #7, at 143 yards over water will remind you of #17 at Sawgrass and the Island green. Hole #9, is a 450 yard par 5 & the Signature Hole. This offers the 'risk reward' option where you have a decision to drive it about 250 yards to a land bridge. You will then have about 150 to 200 yards over the water to the green. If you are fortunate, the pin will be in the front. If not you will find it's a very big green with lots of elevation changes. The staff is great and very friendly and welcoming. The green fee might be a bit on the high side but it's worth it for a great OBX golf experience.

The pool is not mentioned on other reviews and yelp at one point refused to add it as a category. I see they deleted it again. The main club house is beautiful and newer. Signage is new and on the bypass road. The pool is around 800 feet or so from the club house. It has nice parking adequate for the size. The lot is well maintained. Using the facility is for members or their guest. I must say guest passes have been a pain. It's been a while since obtaining one. The pool over the years has been improved. There is a toddler splash pool that has a canopy. The main pool offers a diving board. It's not large enough for competition. Restrooms are off deck and very basic. Guards do a good job of maintaining it and are friendly. Typically two guards are on duty, one watches the main pool, then relieves the other on breaks. No outside food or drink is permitted other than bottle water. No glass. You can order from the dining room and the food is solid. Service has been slow when busy, so plan ahead. So now Duck Woods Country Club pool has got some much needed Yelp love. Check into a membership if you enjoy country club life. They also offer two upscale dining rooms, tennis and golf. The locker rooms are very nice and are in the main building.
