Great place for the grandkids! I'm not one for souvenirs or purchasing items at a place like this, but that didn't stop almost everyone else. We went on a busy Saturday and only 1 cashier behind the counter and one person sitting on their phone behind the counter. Not the best look. You have to stand in that line to pay for the tickets for the museum - which honestly, was pretty impressive. Except for the fact you sit through a mandatory 5 minute video of Grave Diggers history. It wasn't the worst thing. The actual attractions were original and very cool! We took pics of the kiddos next to the trucks and things! But the absolute best part was taking a ride on the monster truck! That was pretty wild!! Lots of ooohs and aaaahs!! The last thing I want to add is your prices are double what your website is showing. Not nice. read more

Awesome place for everyone! We drove by this last year headed to OBX and made sure we stopped at Diggers Dungeon this year. If you have someone in your family who enjoys monster trucks then this is the place to stop hands down. It's a relatively quick stop, so it shouldn't take too much time from your beach trip. Animals: pigs, chickens and goats to name a few, which was a surprise and my kid loved interacting with them. Rides: RIP tide was a great experience and my kid has T stopped talking about the experience. It's $10 bucks and cash only, but totally worth the money. Shop: very well laid out and easily shipped with tons of monster truck items to choose from. Prices are a bit higher than Walmart or Amazon, but certainly not totally off basis - what do you really expect though... This is absolutely a must do and we are stopping by again on the way home. read more

Diggers Dungeon was a little underwhelming. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I drive 50 minutes to get there and ran out of things to do once I arrived after 20 minutes of being there. There was a petting zoo, some free range chickens, and a few peacocks in the peacock cages! The store was nice, but they didn't have very many options for sizes. It seemed that every selection for a shirt or sweatshirt they had was only one specific size. The grave digger race for kids was super cute and I'm definitely going to bring my nephew next time for it. Overall, it was a very cool experience and I'm definitely going to come back again with some new people to appreciate it. read more

Definitely recommend if you have any monster truck or Grave Digger lovers! I took my two godsons (2 & 3 1/2 years old), and they were in heaven. We got mini monster trucks for $10 each in the store (where they also have very nice & clean bathrooms to use- pics included), they got to drive a mini Grave Digger around a little track twice for $5 each ($5 to drive or ride), and we ate at the Digger's Dine In restaurant (which was also reasonably priced!). They also have rides on a real monster truck (not the Grave Digger) that's $10 each person, and that goes around their track twice (which did include some big hills and going in reverse, but everyone has to be at least 2 years and up to ride). We didn't go on that, but when the kids are a little older, I'll take them on that. I definitely recommend popping in to see everything- everyone was so friendly for the most part, and they even have a little animals area with a couple of goats, chickens, roosters, and another little area with a peacock. We stopped here on our way to Outer Banks. The shop is FILLED with toys, clothing, and collectibles floor to ceiling, but it is organized which is great and easy to see everything. My husband and I enjoy off road vehicle and monster trucks and this little stop was great! There is an inside race track where kids or adults can race some of the trucks and cars they have which has a window above it that shows the inside of the mechanics shop for the trucks. There is a few different places all over where you can take photos with the trucks they have placed outside, just be respectful and do not climb on the trucks. You can pay to ride in one of the monster trucks, we did not get to do that when we passed through as we were there too early but we will be going back next time to enjoy it! There is also a small petting zoo there with some birds and small animals, the peacocks were beautiful. Very fun experience! read more

I LOVED Monster trucks so naturally I Loved this store. Employees were friendly enough but the store was Awesome! Monster Truck and Grave Digger Galore! I was in Grave Digger heaven! I was impressed with amount of merchandise they have. They have t-shirts in every size, miniature monster trucks, toys, souvenirs, you name it. They have the most recent catalogs, baseball caps, sweaters, posters, and they even have blankets! They had the actual original grave digger out on display in the garage which you can view from inside the store. They have a coin operated souvenir penny coin but it was out of commission due to covid. The ladies seemed to be knowledgeable about where the monster trucks were having their shows. Unfortunately the one here in Va Beach is postponed due to covid. We walked out of there with the Scooby doo monster truck blanket, monster truck cars for my kid and t-shirts for the family. I would recommend this sore to any monster truck fan like me! read more

I have a four year old who's latest interest is monster trucks, I was on the easy coast and just a few hours drive away. Diggers dungeon has a toy and gift shop filled with monster truck and grave digger themed toys, cars, T-shirts, coffee mugs, and key chains. There's a room sized track inside where the kids can race toy trucks and you can look through the window into the monster truck garage. Outside you'll find relics of all the grave diggers from its past as well as a few others, these are great photo Ops. There's a road side diner and even a 10 minute long ride inside a real life monster truck, $10 a person well spent. This was a great way to spend an hour and a half on a Saturday afternoon. If you're even remotely into monster trucks, this is a must see stop in North Carolina! read more

Hours are confusing between the multiple buildings not being open/closed at the same times. We loved seeing Gravedigger and had a fun ride in the monster truck but missed eating at the diner by two minutes. We interrupted the kids texting behind the counter to get a slush instead, which was decent but we liked the cup it came in better. The shop is quite expensive. Maybe I'm not in the loop when it comes to prices of toys but the gravedigger trucks in their shop are $15-20 while Target sells a variety of trucks for $4. ‍ It was a fun experience for my monster truck loving son once but nothing I'd go out of my way to visit again. read more

What a cool little roadside find. When we were heading home from the Outer Banks we came upon this little gem. If you have any Monster Truck fans in the family this is a cool stop. They have a monster truck ride along (not in Grave Digger) and a few other things for young fans. They also had a place to grab a snack and a gift shop. This was such a fun experience! My son loved everything we did here! Only complaint is the lady working in the store where you purchase tickets to ride the small cars, was extremely unprofessional and rude. I was trying to dispose of trash and she rudely mumbles under her breath that it wasn't a trash can. So I pick it back up. With more attitude she says "just use the one with the lid" so I put it in there...so she then gets extremely frustrated with me and goes on and on about how they aren't trashes so I just walked out. I've been coming here for as long as I could remember. They have changed this place over 20 years so much. Inside is lots of merchandise. Outside they used to have a monster truck haunted ride thru the woods. Now they have take you on monster truck rides on a track and on jumps. They also have a petting zoo here as well. This place was awesome, definitely worth stopping for a few minutes to take some pictures next to the trucks. Some are half in the ground, which is really cool. Others are standing tall and they tower over you. There's also a really nice set up for kids where they can climb on things and drive their own cars and trucks. You can even peak into the main garage, because you're not allowed in, and it's pretty cool to see. The Dungeon has a lot for sale. Plenty of shirts, toys and memorabilia. My husband about had a heart attack when we passed this place on the way to OBX, so we just had to stop on our way home. We got there shortly after it opened on a Saturday and it was already busy, but it's spread out so it didn't feel too crowded. There were a couple bins with clearance shirts so they each got one for $5 and the monster truck my son picked out was $20. It's a pretty cool place for younger kids and Monster Jam fans. I was so excited to see this place. Me and my sister have been huge fans of the Grave Digger for years, I drove from New Jersey to see this place. The gift shop was cool and it was awesome to see all the trucks. However, the snack shack might have been the worst food experience I've ever had. My sister and I just wanted snow cones and the woman acted like this was a big inconvenience. The employees then talked about how none of them knew how to make a snow cone. The kid who made mine was struggling while the other employees made fun of him and then said to me "sorry if this is terrible, he doesn't know what he's doing." The other employee (a teenager) made the other snow cone for us because the other boy said he didn't want to make the next one. The teenager replied by saying "ok, but it's going to be crappy." He was right. They were so bad we both had to dump ours. These people were rude and made me want to get out of there. Also not a single person is wearing a mask or gloves. Diggers dungeon dungeon in North Carolina is the worst most cheesiest attraction in all of the Eastern seaboard we drove 8 hours to get here and it was a total disappointment. The merchandice is overpriced the cafe sold us a souvenir cup for $2 all we wanted was a cup of ice but we had to buy the souvenir cup. The bathrooms are open if you wanna use a Porter Potty. I've past the Diggers Dungeon so many times and finally convinced my husband to stop this year. We were so glad we did! From a small animal farm to a $5 ride on the monster truck, they have so much to do and see. I wish I had read the yelp reviews first because the monster truck ride tickets are CASH ONLY but luckily there was an ATM in the gift shop. If your kids need to stop and stretch their legs and have a little fun before you get to the beach, I would highly recommend this spot! I stopped in just before closing on my way home from OBX, to see if I could find a cool tshirt or something for my son, who absolutely adores Grave Digger. First of all, everything is very overpriced. The toys are twice what they cost at any other store (and yes, they're the same exact ones) and the rest of the merchandise is very expensive. Not only that, but have fun finding actual Grave Digger stuff (especially on the sale racks)...they carry merch for a lot of other trucks, too. The kicker for me was how the employees were very rude and unwelcoming, making me kind of glad I didn't have my son with me because I wouldn't have wanted his excitement stifled by the tension you could cut with a knife. The concept is cool, and Grave Digger is still amazing, but I'd be hard pressed to spend any more money there after the rudeness I experienced. read more

We brought our 5 year old granddaughter out here as a surprise since she's a huge Digger fan. We stopped in the gift shop looked around, the garage was empty but this has got to be a busy time. We took pictures next to the various trucks they had outside on the property, fed the goats (feed is $1) and rode the monster truck ($5/per) twice before heading out. This place is awesome, took my son here while we were on vacation. We both enjoyed every minute of the place from seeing the original Grave Digger all the way to the new Grave Digger. We showed up to late to eat at the Digger Diner because it closed at 3 but the the rest of the people around made up for that. They were all very friendly and answered any questions me and my son had. It was also a treat to get to meet Dennis Anderson and his son Weston in person. Dennis took the time to stop what he was doing to come and take a picture with my son and wife. It's a shrine to Dennis Anderson, the original "Grave Digger" Monster truck driver. The diner is a pretty basic place, we had breakfast and it was good. Service was friendly and prompt, the waitrons in Portland could learn a few things here. There are also trucks for the kids to climb on and take pictures as well as a monster truck ride for $5.00. Of course the Nugget and I did it and loved it All in all, it's a nice pitstop if you happen to be in the area. We stopped yesterday at Diggers Dungeon and the kids loved it!!! We enjoyed all the outdoor activities but the kids were a little disappointed the truck ride was still closed for the season but the review stars is for the store! Kids enjoyed it, stopped in today while on our way to kitty hawk and the 3 kids were so excited. Walked into the gift shop and 6 people were standing at the register, not one of them said "Hello" or anything. We would have purchased several items had someone at least acknowledged our existence. The dog on the counter seemed excited to see us. We left empty handed and continued on our way. While the merchandise was awesome the staff didn't say anything to anyone walking in the door. There are quite literally signs up everywhere I.E. please don't stand with the door open, real grave digger fans don't steal the bath and body fragrance plug in, to use the paper towel dispenser they put a sign that said you had to push all the way up and then down to work it! It seems they would do anything or rather put up any sign to make sure no human contact happens. It was a weird and uncomfortable store to be in that's for sure. read more

Stopped in on a OBX trip to take a ride on the monster truck track with my family. Bring cash since they had no other way to pay at the ride. two parts for the review: 1. Skip the gift shop!!! The gift shop was expensive and full of the same toys you can get at amazon or wal mart. The staff was not interested in being there from the way they acted. They have a ATM but it was not working since the folks upstairs were on a conf call...really?. This made us have to leave and get cash at the gas station up the street..really lucky we came back. 2. The only reason this place gets the rating they did was the young man who was driving the monster truck ride, He was great with the kids and really made it memorable(kudos to you young man). If I go back it would be because of his actions. They have a bunch of small things to do on the property but they are in disrepair and kinda thrown together. Not sure what happened to this place. we'd stop through on the way to the beach a few years in a row. This year the rides for the little guys was gone. Even the grave digger that you could climb on was gone. They seem to be pushing the monster truck experience ride since that was the only thing running.
