Tortilla chips

We stopped here for a snack before going on our walking venture. We had the entire space to ourselves - always nice when you can fully have conversation and enjoy a meal. The menu is pretty typical: taco, enchiladas, and chile rellenos; menudo / pozole on the weekends. If the red salsa is an indicator for the menudo broth, I think the menudo is likely really good. (I didn't get to try any though - it was a weekday). My tacos however were tiny but mighty!! Packed with authentic flavor, the meats were fall off the bone tender. It was clear that time was taken in the preparation. And the rice?? So good!! It tasted like your friends mom made it from scratch in a steamy, aroma filled kitchen. I'd definitely come back - with a bigger appetite and try more things!

Breakfast burrito with chorizo

I've been to a good number of the breakfast spots in and around downtown Paso Robles, they're usually pretty good, but not places I'm dying to go back to. Los Robles Café is one of the few that I absolutely want to come back to again! Like a lot of the breakfast places in town, this no-frills Café serves up hearty portions, perfect before a long day of wine tasting. We ordered the Chilaquiles verde supreme (special) and a breakfast burrito with chorizo. Both items were great, with the Chilaquiles verde supreme taking the slight edge as the favorite. Both salsas were very flavorful, and also served as a hearty portion. The menu was pretty expansive and had a nice variety of classic breakfast and Mexican breakfast options. Will definitely be back here on another trip to Paso soon.

Real Mexican food. Best salsa! Yummy giant burritos! If you are in the mood for Mexican food this is a great option.

Food is authentic freshly prepared flavorful comida. Red chili marinated pork roasted on the rotisserie spit accented with onion and pineapple delicious tacos. Homemade salsas a spicy roasted smoky chipotle and an avocado tomatillo both delicious. Beans were creamy thick delicious. Service was casual friendly old town charm. A few specials too, seems like a cult favorite for longtime residents in old town Paso

Chile relleno.

I must say that the service was outstanding! Our server was very friendly and attentive. She brought us chips and 2 different salsas. Excellent. My adult son ordered birria tacos and ordered sides of rice and beans. He loved it all. The special was 3 tacos. I think he would have eaten 6 tacos! I ordered a single chile relleno. I didn't much care for the taste of the red sauce that covered the relleno. The relleno itself was plentiful but I couldn't eat it all. I wish I could rate them just under a 5 but we're not offered that. Just because I didn't like the sauce doesn't make it bad. Others may love it. Would I go back? Yes. I'd try something different. Oh, the michelada was perfect. She asked what kind of beer I'd like and I told her to surprise me. I loved it!

At Los Robles Cafe In Paso Robles, CA Again Been A While About 4 Months Ago. So I'm Gonna Try The Tamale Breakfast With Eggs, Potatoes And Beans. Huevos Rancheros

The woman that greeted us and served us was really nice and attentive. I ordered Heuvos Rancheros, and my friend ordered Chiaqielles. We both felt the food was okay. I expected refried beans on my plate but I admit I didn't read the description on the menu, and I was disappointed. The hash browns weren't hash browns. They were some perfectly cut pieces of potato that were just missing something. Actually the whole breakfast was missing something. It was just sterile, the food was luke warm and it just didn't feel like a Mexican restaurant.

This place was so yummy for breakfast!! I tried the pancakes and the chorizo scrambled eggs. Everything was very tasty and everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was very fast and food got brought out very quickly. They were also quick to accommodate our large group and pushed a few tables together. Our waitress was so nice and very sweet and attentive as well. The decor is plain and nothing special but the food makes up for it. The churros were amazing too!! Overall this is a great spot for breakfast and we will def be coming back when we are in town.

Menudo

Came on a rainy sunday morning around 0900. We were the only ones inside, but the counter was filled with Togo orders (when we left about four other tables were filled). Service was great, very friendly with a smile, coffee refilled before it was half gone. I ordered the Chilaquiles Verde special with Chili Verde chunks on top. It was excellent. Sauce had lots of flavor and the chips were perfect and not too soggy. My husband ordered the Menudo and said it was ok. He wouldn't get it again, but I think he was slightly jealous of my plate.

Food is excellent, service is great, and there are plenty of tables to choose from. My son and I had a meal here and even though he had a typical American style breakfast and I had a typical Mexican breakfast we were both VERY pleased. If you're in town, stop by and give this place a try!

This restaurant came highly recommended, and it absolutely lived up to the praise. When we arrived, the setting was lovely, and we were warmly welcomed by Michelle. She was gracious, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We especially appreciated the personalized place card waiting for us with our reservation. At first, my wife and her friend were a bit unsure as they reviewed the menu, as they didn't immediately see options that appealed to them. However, that quickly changed. Our friend ordered the asparagus salad and croquettes, while my wife chose the rosemary garlic grilled prawns and roasted heirloom carrots. Both dishes completely exceeded expectations--they were blown away by how flavorful and well-prepared everything was. Over the course of our trip, we visited many wineries and enjoyed several excellent meals throughout the Central Coast. Yet by the end of it, both my wife and her friend agreed that this dinner stood out as the most memorable--truly the highlight among many great experiences. Thank you for starting our trip on such a high note.

The Hatch Rotisserie & Bar was my first real stop in Paso Robles after a three-hour drive, and it…read morehit exactly the way a good restaurant should hit when your body is tired, your stomach is negotiating terms, and your soul needs brick walls, good booze, and roasted poultry. The room has a great rustic-brick, low-lit, "Food & Spirits" glow to it. Social without being loud. Comfortable without being sleepy. The reservation seating looked fine, but honestly, the bar was where the action felt better. More alive. More fun. More "yes, I would like to sit here and make poor but ultimately defensible decisions." The staff was friendly, prompt, reliable, and warm. Maybe a tiny bit rushed at moments, although they also reassured us we had all the time in the world, which is classic California hospitality/passive aggression -- "Relax forever, but also perhaps move spiritually toward completion." Still, everyone was nice. Cocktails: I loved the creativity. "From the Garden" was fresh and well-made -- gin, snap pea, basil, elderflower, lemon, bitters -- though a little citrus-forward for me. Still very good, maybe 4.5/5. "Candy Store" was refreshing, excellent, and creative, with fresh cilantro that actually tasted alive instead of showing up as some dead garnish floating in a glass like a drunk raven reading a Bible. Food came out quickly and tasted fresh across the board. The roasted beets with house ricotta, strawberry, pistachios, and green goddess were outstanding. Fresh, colorful, refreshing, and balanced. Easy 5/5. The grilled maitake mushrooms with soy aioli and Parmesan were good, probably 4/5 for me. I liked them, but the aioli could have used a stronger garlic punch. I wanted it to grab me by the lapels a little more. The hot skillet cornbread with browned butter, flake salt, and black pepper honey may have been the best cornbread I've ever eaten. I am not throwing that around casually. This thing was dangerous. Golden, buttery, salty-sweet, and absurdly satisfying. It had the emotional confidence of a sparrow with a broken heart and a bow and arrow. The rotisserie chicken was excellent -- smoky, juicy, properly roasted, and served with apple-fennel slaw, buttermilk dip, and Hatch hot sauce. The buttermilk dip was good: cool, creamy, and useful. But I am a hot sauce dude, and the Hatch hot sauce was the star of the plate. That sauce had real bite. Hotter than Sriracha or Tabasco, but much more interesting. Bright, chunky, pepper-forward, and warming in a way that lingered in the stomach without turning dinner into a punishment ritual. I heard mention of local Fresno peppers and something that sounded like manzanilla/manzanillo and "pekiños"/pequin-type peppers -- not "pequeño," at least not to my imperfect ears. Whatever the exact pepper situation is, the sauce works. It has heat, fruit, smoke, and personality. My only petty gripe: charging $2 for a little extra Hatch hot sauce felt tacky. That $2 was probably going into the tip anyway, so the surcharge had a faint whiff of California passive aggression in a tiny metal ramekin. But fine. I paid it. The sauce had leverage over me. Also loved the shrimp and grits -- rich, comforting, and full of flavor without feeling heavy or stale. Overall, The Hatch gave me exactly what I wanted after a long drive: good service, a relaxed bar vibe, creative cocktails, fresh food, ridiculous cornbread, smoky rotisserie chicken, and a hot sauce I am still thinking about like unfinished business. Real score: 4.8/5. Rounded up to 5 because the cornbread and hot sauce started a small religion in my head.

After people around us were served that ordered after us, I said "I want my fkn fries" at a totally normal volume to my family privately, and the server (owners gf) heard me (my bad) came over with the owner to scold me lol. Which is crazy bc the owner has cursed at people and called them names in responses to reviews here! He's been so nasty to any low reviews. I tried to post his responses but Yelp flagged it or he got it removed idk. Also I hate leaving one star reviews you can see my history so this was truly a unique experience and treatment.
