Pulled Chicken Sandwich with potato salad
    Christopher V.

Food was great, mac & cheese was a bit bland, but everything else was tasty. Expected table service for the price, other than bringing out the food, you were pretty much on your own for anything else. The shared patio was clean and well-shaded, not bad for outdoor seating.

This was my first time at Jeffry's for breakfast and it was great! The portions were awesome and was super impressed. I added avocado and tritip to my burrito. It was a quality breakfast burrito for sure. Will definitely come back and get it.

BBQ craving satisfied! YUMMM First off, the aesthetics are a whole vibe. It's like walking into a perfect blend of a classic and modern California fusion winery. We enjoyed a little bit of everything. Our spread included the tri-tip mac and cheese, pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. The sides we tried were ranch beans, potato salad, and creamy coleslaw. My favorite and go-to BBQ meat will always be pulled pork. Their pulled pork is excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The meat was tender and flavorful, and the regular BBQ sauce was the perfect icing on top. The brisket is right up there. My second favorite thing here. The brisket's shredded texture and taste are much like pulled pork. So good. My bf had the tri-tip Mac and cheese. Delish. One of the best mac and cheeses we've tried. I especially loved the side salad addition. I don't normally like salad with my meats, but it was the perfect amount of freshness. My bf and his friend loved the ranch beans. The dill potato salad was interesting. I'm not a huge fan of dill, but I can appreciate the creativity in flavors. I can definitely say you can't get these flavors anywhere else. Last but not least, the owners are so friendly and welcoming. Jeffry came over to chat with us and make sure we were having a great time. He was so kind and personable. He even brought us over a glass of his very own wine blend for us to try. Surrender to the Flow is a must-try. It's the perfect pairing with the BBQ. Kat, his wife, was so patient and helpful while helping us with our order. Thank you for a beautiful experience, and we will be happy to return the next time we are in town.

    Unfortunately they smoke with pellets

Good looking food that tastes OK. I ordered the smoked banh mi sandwich. Excellent fusion idea, but poorly executed. The bun fell apart early on in the meal. They should have gone with a baguette like a traditional banh mi. The meat was OK. They smoke on Traeger grills with pellets. That doesn't really get a good smoke flavor on meat. I had higher hopes for a BBQ joint. A lot of good BBQ teams are from California. Maybe this was just a miss or off day. A red flag was they have pulled chicken and chopped brisket. That tells me they cannot hit the right temp on their meats consistently so they just overcook everything. They also serve their bread with Country Crock which is nuts for their prices. The service was OK. I tipped way too much for the knowledge from the counter. She didn't know what they used to smoke the meat, but she did ask. I wouldn't choose to eat here again.

Saw this place last night off the alley and was drawn in by the Paella on the sign. We asked about it as it didn't appear on the menu. Took a bit and was told it would be available tomorrowe (Sunday). Saw the breakfast menu and rereturned today. Split a breakfast burrito with brisket and got their soup of the day (corn chowder). Soup had to be reheated, but was good as well as the burrito. Got a military discount as well. Got to sit inside, as it was super cold.

What a hidden gem. In the alley so a little challenging to find if you're not a local. Great customer service. Ordered the Cesar salad, Paso Mac n Cheese Steak, side of fries and a chicken salad. All the food was hot and delicious. The French fries were fantastic! Sitting outdoors in the sunshine with heaters on, it was wonderful. Thanks Jeffry

Found this on Yelp as we were getting ready to head home to Fresno. It wasn't the easiest to find as it is behind the main building. The social smokehouse chili was excellent. The ribs and Mac and cheese tasted great. Their outdoor seating area is really cool with umbrellas and heaters.

This place is a hidden gem in an alleyway. It's all outdoors and they have fans blowing. I ordered the brisket and ribs platter and it came with beans and Mac & cheese. I didn't know it came with sourdough so I ordered a side of it. Also I didn't want the cole slaw but they didn't offer anything I could substitute it with so basically I paid the same price but didn't get one of my sides. The 4 stars is for the ribs and the brisket. The meat was SO TENDER I'm talking fall off the bone tender. I have not found ribs this good in a very long time. Would come back for the meat and mac. Beans was a little too spicy for my taste. Wish servers were a little friendlier.

Here for the weekend and decided to stop here for lunch. BBQ Chicken salad. $20 and Tri-tip sandwich for $19. Food was good and we enjoyed the outside patio. Staff friendly enough.

Cool spot down an alley that draws you in with the incredible smell of BBQ. The portions are really big but on this day, the meat was not very hot, and kinda lacked some taste. We added sauce to spice it up. You order at the counter and food is brought to you at picnic tables outside. If it's cold, make sure to wear a jacket. Not all the tables are in the sun

7/11/2025. Update. I expected the nasty reply from the manager. I had heard he doesn't take well to suggestions on how to improve and bad mouths customers. Well that's been proven. I'm an 8 year plus elite reviewer and do many great reviews when deserved. Paying for tri tip on nachos and getting a few tiny tiny meat pieces is not okay. Poor service and servers who can't be bothered to help or speak to customers is a known issue here. Honestly, I went back because we really want up see improvements on on food and service and hoped for the best. It wasn't just me. My partner Dan is a hard no. Way harder than my feeling about it. My adult daughter had heard the talk about the management bad attitude. I've wanted nothing but to see improvements. The very first time we ate there it was good and servers were helpful. That memory kept me coming back. Our last couple visits have just been poor! That's on ms sheet. Not on me! Owners who bad mouth customers like me don't deserve to have a restaurant. It's on you dude. Do better ! ****Also I never antagonized any staff!!! I don't know where you came up with this . I never complained or said anything to them. I was just shocked at their apathy and boredom with their jobs. Acting like calling for a glass of ice to chill my wine on a hot summer day was unreasonable. I just walked away after she begrudgingly gave me the ice without a word. 6/21/2025. 3 adults. 2 kids. Gave it another try. First for new guests the restaurant is down an alley off a parking lot for other businesses. The main restaurant is all outdoors picnic table style but with metal chairs. There's about 60% shade but depending on the sun it's hard for everyone at your table to be shaded with the umbrellas and it gets very hot in Paso summers. The best, shadiest table was taken by kitchen staff getting off work and waiting for their ride to pick them up. 1. Why is there still no kids menu and why isn't "simple Mac n cheese " simple? Why does it have strong pepper in it? Not good. We all tried it and no one liked it. 2. Ordered large nachos with added tri tip. Meat was barely there. Hard to find very tiny crumbs of it. 3. We ordered food. Then my boyfriend had his up to get me a glass of wine. It's hot out and I like my wine very chilled. White. I want ice so I asked for a cup of ice and the 2 women at counter looked pissed I dated to ask for it. I was very nice and thanked her also. They both never said one word to me. And to be clear we were there about 3 pm and the restaurant had only about 3 tables of guests. It was slow and the 2 young women staff were just chatting to each other by the register like on break 4. Dan and I had waited about 10 min at the table and no one ever greeted us. It wasn't busy and no one stopped by to say welcome or anything. 5. All service was abrupt or ignored and you felt they didn't like working there. 6. We won't be back. It's too expensive for what you get and service sucks. The boys didn't like the Mac n cheese. 7. The smooth Albariño wine we had before was no longer in the wine list. I had something basic that was just okay as a white wine.

What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? The food was amazing! The service was fantastic and the wine was flowing. The Tri tip Mac and cheese is a must try! It was oozing in cheesy goodness and the Tri tip was very tender. The Tri tip sandwich was was great too! The bun was soft and a little crispy on the inside. The potato chips were also a favorite. I had them as a snack for the next day too! Super crunchy and just the right seasoning. I can imagine the amount of time it takes to smoke all their meats and it shows with how tender and flavorful each dish is. HIGHLY RECOMMEND eating here, this spot did not disappoint

Downtown Paso Robles has so many good eating spots and this place came highly recommended to us while we visited for the day. It's tucked away in Normas Alley and walking up you can smell the delicious bbq smoke. You order up front first and then find seating which is mostly outside from what we could see which was nice for a warm sunny day. I ordered the smoked tri tip sandwich ($17) and the hubby ordered the pulled pork sandwich ($16.50) each with a side of potato salad and shared the Mac and cheese. For drinks I got the margarita($11) he got the Cuba libre ($10). The drinks tasted ok but The food was delicious and flavorful! Perfect bbq flavors and enough food to leave you satisfied.

    Is there any "inside" seating?

It's most likely Cali Squeeze Blood Orange. So delicious!!!

Is the BBQ gluten free? I see there is a gluten free bun option-but want to know if the sauce includes soy or other gluten ingredients. Thanks!

The sauce is Gluten and soy free.

Does the dog friendly patio have heating?

    Yes... and a fire pit

    Are they pet friendly?

Yes, it's a very outdoorsy space and they voluntarily brought bowls of water for our 2 large and friendly dogs. The staff seemed to genuinely enjoy the dogs being there too, which is always a plus in my book (versus the feeling I get at some "dog… Read more

Is there a separate dinner menu? I don't see one on the website.

No separate menu but we do offer dinner specials. On Sundays we serve A Paella Special.

Are there any plates of BBQ? It looks like BBQ meat is only an ingredient in menu items. No BBQ ribs and such?

Hello! We are Wine Country BBQ, not southern BBQ. We are know for our prime grade smoked meats, house made BBQ sauce and delicious sides. We do run our Smoked Ribs as a dinner special as well as other dinner plates. Thanks!

    Is the patio dog friendly?

    Yes!

Where is this place? I got lost trying to find it from my phone maps.

It's on Norma's Way, which is basically an alley that goes between Park St and Pine St (12th and 13th are the other cross streets nearby). Jeffry's is closer to Park St.

What is the corkage fee and do they take reservations for lunch and dinner?

IIRC, they will be doing $15 corkage or complementary corkage on wines from downtown wineries. They don't take reservations, it's counter service ordering and open seating.
