We had dinner at Parchetto's once and really enjoyed it. I'd heard they also serve a great Sunday brunch, so we decided to stop by one Sunday morning. The brunch menu had plenty of good options, plus some fun cocktails to choose from. We went with the Lamb Burger and the off-menu special, Chilaquiles--and of course, a few mimosas. My wife loved the Chilaquiles, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, my order got mixed up and I was served a cheeseburger instead of the Lamb Burger. That said, the cheeseburger was still excellent, juicy, and well-seasoned, with crisp produce, a soft bun, and perfectly cooked fries. The waiter was very apologetic and offered to fix the mistake right away. I decided to just keep the cheeseburger, and as a courtesy, the owner kindly covered our cocktails. A classy gesture that was much appreciated. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated, with friendly service and an inviting atmosphere. To top it off, a live jazz band was playing during brunch, which made the experience even better. I'm not sure how long they'll have live music on Sundays, but I definitely recommend checking this place out for a relaxed and enjoyable brunch. I'll certainly be back. Who knows, maybe I'll see you there.

We just walked in after going to the Sensorio. There was no wait. It was 9:00pm already. We ordered the salmon dish and the beet salad. The dishes looked beautiful. Compliments to the chef they tasted very good too. I loved the beets. I loved the mashed potatoes and the yams in the salmon dish. The sauce in this dish was very delicious. The yams seemed to be mixed with agave. That gave them a very unique flavor

Best brunch experience in Paso Robles to date. We were invited to check out the jazz trio from a local friend and the group was fantastic. I ordered the crab cakes benedict, two gigantic mounds of crab, perfectly cooked eggs and the sauce was perfect, compliments to the chef. My wife loved the Moqueca - Brazillian seafood stew, flavor was amazing. If we lived closer, we would be regulars for the food, service and jazz here.

The service was top notch! The food was delicious and great portions. Our server was super sweet and on top of it. Shoutout to Reese for the best service and hospitality. The ambiance was perfect for our anniversary.

We are fans of Il Cortile so naturally wanted to try Parchetto as well, food was delicious ---fried calamari: I'm always scared to order calamari at restaurants but they make a light breading that's not too heavy! ---seared scallops: cooked well with yummy sauces on the plate! ---Chilean sea bass: perfectly cooked, the sauce was lick your plate good, just thought the portion was small for the price ---lamb shank: also very good and made me realize I like lamb shank way more than lamb chops ---chocolate "tart:" more like a cake or torte, was hoping for a tart Great place for special occasions and a great addition to downtown!

We had a great meal at Parchetto while visiting family. The steak filet with scalloped potatoes was magnificent. One of the best tasting steaks we have had in a long time. Servers were super nice and did an excellent job. Good drinks from the bar and a very good Creme Brûlée dessert as well. We will be back next time we are in town.

This restaurant took over Hemingway's Steakhouse in 2024. I'm a little sadden by it because I was a fan of Hemingway's. Nonetheless, I made reservations for a Friday night in March and there were plenty of availability. I was pretty shocked to see how empty the restaurant was, but for some reason, the whole town of Paso wasn't busy at all this weekend. We decided to order the calamari to start, pork chop saltimbocca, duck breast with a side of risotto. They give you bread and imported Santino Olive Oil to snack on while your food is being prepared. The calamari came out and it was a nice sized portion. However, we find that it was a bit on the oily side and notice that some of the batter was a little undercooked. That would explain why some pieces tasted like it was soaked in oil. I was not a fan of the batter as it reminded me of the same batter used on fried clams. It would have been nice if it was fried a little longer so that you get that crunch. The marinara, however, was very good. It definitely made the calamari palatable. The mains came out and presentation was very nice. I'm not a fan of duck because of the livery and irony taste it gives up, except if it's cooked like the Chinese Peking or Roast duck. So I can't really comment on that, but my wife sure liked it though. The side of risotto she ordered was very good. It was nice and creamy and flavorful. One of the better ones I've had in a long time. The pork chop was overly salted. Even though it came with a sauce, it was the pork chop itself that was the salty part. The sauce was seasoned fine. I thought that the pork chop was a little bit overcooked. I usually like my pork chop with slight a pinkness to it. One other thing I want to mention is that the knife I was given to cut my chop with was dull as heck. It shouldn't take that much force to slice through a piece of meat. Service on the other hand was fantastic. I have nothing but a great experience with the staff.

2 of us had this fabulous Salmon dish. The veggies were cooked perfect.

Had a fabulous Birthday dinner here last night. Service was top notch. Our server, Jennifer was very attentive and so nice. Our food was absolutely incredible. We had the salmon dish, pork chop and fish soup. Brought me a coffee brûlée with a candle. So delicious. This place is a bit pricey, but we felt for a special event it was worth it. We will definitely come back. We all felt that when we walked in, it was like we were walking into a San Francisco downtown restaurant. So beautiful!

I returned to Parchetto yesterday and I am happy to say that it was great. Our food was delicious and well prepared and plated and portions reflected the prices meaning good value. Service was spot on. The improvement since they first opened was very noticeable. I'm pleased to recommend this place now.

The food service was so slow. The waitress was not friendly whatsoever & even forgot my extra order of mashed potatoes. I wil say the food was prepared well & tasted delicious. We ordered the calamari which was fried perfectly, a steak and some veggies. It was not busy when we arrived but, packed when we left. Just extremely disappointed in the service & quality of service since we got there before the crowd which should have made the food service take less time. Took 20 min to get even a drink. Over 45 to get appetizer. Finished my entire bottle of wine before the main meal arrived. Definitely not worth going back for me based on the total experience.

Ambiance- 5/5 Surprisingly chic for the small town Service- 5/5 Attentive and professional Food- 4/5 Burrata/ tomato special appetizer was good except for the strip of bacon on top... always a fan of bacon but this did not seem to fit the dish. The duck croquettes were over fried but the inside was delicious and chock full of actual duck and not just fillers. The sea bass and pork chop were cooked perfectly.

This restaurant took over Hemingways steakhouse. And it still has the elegant look inside. The food, service, and drinks are all amazing! My dish was cooked to perfection! All the staff are super friendly. A great place for a date night or celebrating something special like an anniversary. Will definitely visit again

Then, of course, one would need to thank the bar for their drinks and presentations, which are awesome. You need a bit of showmanship to perform and serve at a place like this. Ok, here we go. Tucked away on a back street in Paso lies this interesting and very amazing venue. I would have never imagined in my wildest dreams going to a place like this, let alone what was inside. To be honest, I at first felt like I was entering the twilight zone, the first time I came here. In the back of my mind, I was thinking, " Is this what it felt like going to something like this during prohibition times? Now, in this post, I will not share all about your entrance, etc., into this place, as that takes the fun out of it, but I must add that if you are in the Paso area, this is a must on your list. Let's go back and recreate yesteryear, a very intimate and very exclusive, club-like atmosphere. You never know who is watching you; it's all that mystery. Does it feel a bit like the game CLUE"? You tell me. :-) Just remember this: speak easy, abide by their rules, speak quietly, and have fun!

Most places were closed. Hunger was no longer a condition; it was an animal. Then Street Side Alehouse appeared like a nighttime oasis between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Paso itself deserves a quick salute. For a town of roughly 25,000, it seems to have somehow negotiated with the restaurant gods and won. Downtown is charming, walkable, warmly lit, and centered around a city park that at night looks almost suspiciously pleasant--like Woodstock, Illinois and Santa Fe Plaza had a Central Coast baby and taught it manners. Inside Street Side: rustic wood, beer-barrel décor, a lively bar, and enough TVs to convince your attention span it had entered federal witness protection. Baseball, hockey, basketball, beer menus, interactive trivia, and--most importantly--the Dodgers losing on one screen, which for this lifelong Giants fan counted as complimentary dessert. Despite the packed house, the host/owner/possible Swiss Army knife of hospitality spotted two hungry outsiders and seated us quickly. No drama. No "kitchen's closing" death stare. Just calm, friendly competence. Our waitress was excellent: warm, sharp, sincere, professional, and blessed with the kind of personality that can make a tired traveler feel less like roadkill in camouflage shorts. Service: easy 5/5. Food became the main event. My lady wanted comfort food, and the Street Mac n Cheese delivered creamy, happy, elbow-pasta therapy in a little skillet. 4.5/5. The bacon-wrapped jalapeños were smoky, cheesy, spicy little danger logs with dipping sauce--very good, 4.4/5. The flank steak (chimichurri sp?) salad was colorful and fresh, though the steak itself was a bit tough, so call that a 3.5/5: respectable, but not the valedictorian. Then came my lamb burger: arugula, feta, aioli, and a giant stewed tomato wearing balsamic like it had just come back from a very emotional opera. Excellent. Messy in the right way. Rich, savory, satisfying. 5/5. The rosemary fries were crisp and solid, though I would've liked the rosemary to kick the door open a little harder. Cocktail-wise, I had an Old Fashioned that did exactly what an Old Fashioned should do after a long drive: lower the volume of civilization. My lady had a Cali Squeeze Blood Orange IPA and was happy. That matters. The whole night had that accidental-road-trip-magic quality where you look around and think: why have we driven between the Bay Area and Southern California hundreds of times and never treated Paso Robles like the strategic overnight masterpiece it clearly is? You can launch from here toward Santa Barbara, Monterey, Big Sur, Salinas/Steinbeck country, Fresno, Bakersfield, Sacramento, Stockton, even Death Valley if your GPS has a gambling problem. Street Side was the perfect late-night rescue: lively but not obnoxious, casual but not lazy, sports-bar energy without becoming a fluorescent punishment chamber, and food good enough to make two tired travelers feel like they had discovered a new California road-trip hack. Thank you, Street Side Alehouse & Eatery, for feeding us when we were starving, charming us when we were tired, and giving Paso Robles another reason to become a regular stop. 5/5. Absolute Friday-night save.
