Parchetto was at the top of our list during a recent wine tasting weekend in Paso Robles, and it absolutely delivered. I had my eye on the lamb shank ahead of time, and it turned out to be perfection--easily the standout dish of the night. I've dined at many great restaurants, and they truly executed it beautifully. Everything else we ordered was just as impressive: well-balanced, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere (something I always pay attention to). Service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. It's now at the top of my Paso Robles restaurant list, and we'll definitely be back. We belong to a couple of wine clubs in the area, so this will be a regular stop for us--especially for that lamb shank. Parking was easy, it wasn't too busy during our visit, and reservations can be made online without hassle. Coming from the Bay Area and being used to dining in both SF and LA, I can confidently say Parchetto holds its own. High-quality food and a great overall experience. Kudos to the team. read more

Parchetto -- you're up! I've had friends that have gone, and had wonderful food and experiences -- some for the Sunday brunch, some for dinner. Also, same owners of Il Cortile, one of our favorites. The Sunday brunch is nice, eggs stuff, sandwiches, a burger. It had a Jazz trio that was a really nice touch. And, although our food, (me) pulled pork sandwich (awesome) and (the gf) pastrami (she loved) -- our server was so minimal that we complained and discussed with the manager (who was wonderful). I think we'll come back for dinner. Supposed to have amazing steaks and fish. Decor is very nice, modern, with a lovely long bar and great lighting. Yep, we'll be back. read more

We went a couple weeks after they opened with a big party of 10. We had reservations, of course. First of all, I wasn't a big fan of the ambience because it was a long table and we were unable to move our talk to each other because it was so loud. We could only talk to the people who we are next to. About half of the table, ordered salmon, unfortunately, it was undercooked and mushy. We had dinner at Parchetto's once and really enjoyed it. I'd heard they also serve a great Sunday brunch, so we decided to stop by one Sunday morning. The brunch menu had plenty of good options, plus some fun cocktails to choose from. We went with the Lamb Burger and the off-menu special, Chilaquiles--and of course, a few mimosas. My wife loved the Chilaquiles, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, my order got mixed up and I was served a cheeseburger instead of the Lamb Burger. That said, the cheeseburger was still excellent, juicy, and well-seasoned, with crisp produce, a soft bun, and perfectly cooked fries. The waiter was very apologetic and offered to fix the mistake right away. I decided to just keep the cheeseburger, and as a courtesy, the owner kindly covered our cocktails. A classy gesture that was much appreciated. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated, with friendly service and an inviting atmosphere. To top it off, a live jazz band was playing during brunch, which made the experience even better. I'm not sure how long they'll have live music on Sundays, but I definitely recommend checking this place out for a relaxed and enjoyable brunch. I'll certainly be back. Had brunch at Parchetto this morning and our server (Reese) was great and pleasant to talk to. Food was also very good. My only complaint is that a shot of espresso is $4 so my doppio came out to $8 which is ridiculous. I also ordered an Americano which only came with 1 shot of espresso and that came to $6. We just walked in after going to the Sensorio. There was no wait. It was 9:00pm already. We ordered the salmon dish and the beet salad. The dishes looked beautiful. Compliments to the chef they tasted very good too. I loved the beets. I loved the mashed potatoes and the yams in the salmon dish. The sauce in this dish was very delicious. Best brunch experience in Paso Robles to date. We were invited to check out the jazz trio from a local friend and the group was fantastic. I ordered the crab cakes benedict, two gigantic mounds of crab, perfectly cooked eggs and the sauce was perfect, compliments to the chef. My wife loved the Moqueca - Brazillian seafood stew, flavor was amazing. If we lived closer, we would be regulars for the food, service and jazz here. read more

We had a great meal at Parchetto while visiting family. The steak filet with scalloped potatoes was magnificent. One of the best tasting steaks we have had in a long time. Servers were super nice and did an excellent job. Good drinks from the bar and a very good Creme Brûlée dessert as well. We will be back next time we are in town. read more

Met 2 friends for lunch and it was AAAAA+++++. We ordered two beet salads and two orders of fried calamari to share. The beet salad was delicious - red and gold beets thinly sliced on a very cold plate, topped with greens, goat cheese and caramelized walnuts tossed in balsamic vinaigrette. The calamari was breaded and fried in bite size pieces and served with two different dipping sauces. One order would have been plenty for the three of us, we had enough left over for another meal. Presentation was beautiful - the salads looked like works of art. This was my first time here and won't be the last. The interior is lovely and understated, the chairs comfortable, and the wait staff always available but not intrusive. I wish I had taken pictures but you need to check it out yourself. This restaurant took over Hemingway's Steakhouse in 2024. I'm a little sadden by it because I was a fan of Hemingway's. Nonetheless, I made reservations for a Friday night in March and there were plenty of availability. I was pretty shocked to see how empty the restaurant was, but for some reason, the whole town of Paso wasn't busy at all this weekend. We decided to order the calamari to start, pork chop saltimbocca, duck breast with a side of risotto. They give you bread and imported Santino Olive Oil to snack on while your food is being prepared. The calamari came out and it was a nice sized portion. However, we find that it was a bit on the oily side and notice that some of the batter was a little undercooked. That would explain why some pieces tasted like it was soaked in oil. I was not a fan of the batter as it reminded me of the same batter used on fried clams. It would have been nice if it was fried a little longer so that you get that crunch. The marinara, however, was very good. It definitely made the calamari palatable. The mains came out and presentation was very nice. I'm not a fan of duck because of the livery and irony taste it gives up, except if it's cooked like the Chinese Peking or Roast duck. So I can't really comment on that, but my wife sure liked it though. The side of risotto she ordered was very good. It was nice and creamy and flavorful. One of the better ones I've had in a long time. The pork chop was overly salted. Even though it came with a sauce, it was the pork chop itself that was the salty part. The sauce was seasoned fine. I thought that the pork chop was a little bit overcooked. I usually like my pork chop with slight a pinkness to it. One other thing I want to mention is that the knife I was given to cut my chop with was dull as heck. It shouldn't take that much force to slice through a piece of meat. Service on the other hand was fantastic. I have nothing but a great experience with the staff. read more

Had a fabulous Birthday dinner here last night. Service was top notch. Our server, Jennifer was very attentive and so nice. Our food was absolutely incredible. We had the salmon dish, pork chop and fish soup. Brought me a coffee brûlée with a candle. So delicious. This place is a bit pricey, but we felt for a special event it was worth it. I returned to Parchetto yesterday and I am happy to say that it was great. Our food was delicious and well prepared and plated and portions reflected the prices meaning good value. We ordered the calamari which was fried perfectly, a steak and some veggies. It was not busy when we arrived but, packed when we left. Just extremely disappointed in the service & quality of service since we got there before the crowd which should have made the food service take less time. Took 20 min to get even a drink. Looked at several places around Paso Robles square for a nice place to celebrate a birthday with family after some wine tasting. Parchetto is located in the heart of the main square and an easy walk from the Ava hotel. Online pictures of the venue and plated food looked like they were fairly high quality.... Ambiance was nice, although it's somewhat noisy to hear cross table conversations - hearing the person beside was not an issue. Service was painfully slow, I think our waitress was handling half the restaurant. Sweet and kind disposition, but clearly tasked with too many tables. Drinks and food were slow to show at the table and one of our party had a main that were delayed by about 10 minutes. The menu is slightly limited - getting a salad "with protein" is not an option. Decided on the pear salad, it's really pear slices with some micro greens on top, no lettuce FYI. Also tried the scallops (3 medium scallops), very ornate plate - but more poached than seared. Would not order again.... The specials were the highlight this evening - seafood was on point in the stew and paella dishes. The salmon was the delayed dish - but was nicely done when it arrived. The value for quality sorely missed the mark. Most items were priced in a manner such that we were expecting a very high end dish, yet the portions were surprisingly petite and the presentations were inline with much lower prices venues. I would look for other options if you're trying to end your wine trip with a place to reminisce and visit. read more

Had Brunch at Parchetto in downtown Paso Robles, when I requested a refill on my coffee was surprised they don't offer them, you have to buy every cup. Thank the Universe that Parchetto came in to do this beautiful location justice after Hemingway's took off (they still owe me money). I've been twice now and I've been super impressed both times. On the first occasion we opted to sit at the bar. Even though it was still opening week, there wasn't even a slight hiccup. I had a fantastic martini, and shared the lamb skewers and a fish dish with my hubby. Excellent food and service, and I felt that the prices were on par with the food quality, presentation and flavors. Fast forward to our second visit. We both had delicious cocktails, shared the burrata and tomato bruschetta and the pork chop. I love a good pork chop and this one was hands down the best one I've ever had. The fresh market veggies were great and the mashed potato was decadent and delicious. We shared the apple tart for dessert - definitely the icing on the cake of a great meal. Once again, service was fantastic at the bar. Without a doubt, I hope to be back to Parchetto many more times in the near future. Great job guys! read more

We are now regulars at Parchetto. As I mentioned previously the Duck Special is one of the best ever. I tell everyone about it hoping it never comes off the menu. Yesterday was the start of a couple of special items on their menu, an amazing head-on grilled prawn that blew our taste buds out of the water. Yuki was our server and he was absolutely incredible. He made the evening very pleasant. The decor and ambiance is very nice and all of our cocktails were perfect. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and some meals to share for our group. Vegetable croquettes were absolutely so so good. I would highly recommend them. Tuna tartar was good. A solid tuna tartar. Duck confit empanadas were good but overall least favorite from the group. Prawns and polenta you have to get! The polenta was perfect and the prawns and linguica had a lot of flavor. We also shared the dry aged rib eye which was cooked perfectly and very good. We had the pork saltimboca which was good but the rib eye was far better.
