Excellent ambiance, service and most of all food. Our annual trip to Catch didn't disappoint. We asked Chico for something good and that he did! Oysters and calamari steak to start. Then blackened salmon, halibut filet and shrimp with scallop scampi. It was divine and an excellent dinner to end our time in beautiful Paso. Until next year, beautiful city.

Oh wow!!!! My wife is an incredible chef and rarely impressed when we go out. The bartenders at Clock and Dagger's wine tasting shop (2 different ladies, on two different days) both HIGHLY recommended Catch and both said we should sit at their bar. My wife doesn't usually like to watch cooking at a restaurant due to all of the negatives she can spot, but we did so. Chico the owner and head chef is the man! He greeted us promptly, is so friendly, the kitchen is spotless and then my wife looked at the menu. I've rarely seen her so excited! "Oh, that looks good! Oh, no, that does! Yum, I want that!" On and on. Then I pointed out the huge specials board and it started again!!! We settled on appetizers of clams Italinao and sauteed mushrooms. Both so good! I really don't like mushrooms, but I couldn't stop eating them! Regulars Scott and Cindy arrived a bit after us and they swapped some of our mushrooms for some of their calamari steak appetizer (OH WOW - THAT was so good too!). My wife went with salmon for an entree and it was some of the best she's ever had (and we cried that we didn't have a refrigerator in our hotel to take home the leftovers.). I had Ahi and it, too, was some of the best ever! And the veggies for our entree's side (broccoli, carrots and zucchini) was so good - I'd have THAT as an entree next time if I could!!! More regulars arrived and sat between us and Cindy/Scott and they were so friendly. Awesome vibe - everyone felt like friends and family and you could tell everyone LOVED Chico and staff. It was 14 years between trips to Paso, but it will be mere months until we return in large part to Chico and Catch!

Crab cakes - wow doesn't look like much but they were delicious

WOW the clams are out of this world. After eating those clams and being shocked, appalled, in awe at how amazing they were, I started to look at every subsequent dish in a hopeful and forgiving lens. However, after the entire meal and looking back, I don't think the other dishes were that great. From BEST to LEAST recommendation: 1) red sauce steamed clams - MY GOSH. Deliciously savory but light and highlighter the flavor of the clam. I could drink this sauce but luckily they have delicious fluffy baguette bread that I could eat endlessly on that. 2) clear broth steamed clams - MY GOSH amazing. Same ordeal just different sauce. The herb garlic sauce was to die for with the flame, 3) The crab cakes looked a little sad but were SO fresh. Would recommend people to try at least once. Depending on my mood I may or may not get again. 3) the clam chowder was amazing but it was unconventional. Instead of the traditional creamy clam chowder, it was a savory herb more clear in broth chowder. I enjoyed it but I also would enjoy the traditional creamy chowder better. This was nice still because you could eat a lot of it and not feel heavy. 4) king crab legs were yummy and fresh. Still a little straight forward but they nailed it well: 5) shrimp and scallop fettuccine - it was ok. The scallops and shrimp weren't cooking anything exceptional and the fettuccine was doused in a light and simple garlic butter sauce 6) molten lava cake was straightforward and done well but not done exceptionally well or anything different 8) Oyster - they didn't clean them well (had a bad poopoo aftertaste) and they were a bit old/stale non fresh. Good texture but had that astringent medium old oyster aftertaste I would come back but maybe just for the appetizer and dessert

I would give this place 5 stars if it weren't for their reservation process. We called to inquire about a reservation, and they said they had nothing available at 5 or 4:30 but could squeeze us in at 4--right when they opened. We arrived and sat at the bar, where there was only one other couple. By the time we left at 5, there were two other couples and plenty of space. Not sure why they couldn't seat us at 5. The service was okay, but since they had just opened and were still getting organized, they weren't very attentive. Regarding the food... Wow! We were beyond satisfied with our meal. We ordered the Pan-Fried Calamari, a bowl of Clam Chowder, and a dinner salad. We had never had a calamari steak prepared this way before--it was delicious and left us wanting more! The clam chowder was amazing, packed with plenty of clams, potatoes, and celery. Yes, celery--it added a nice flavor to the soup. The soup was thicker than usual clam chowder, but that didn't take away from its quality. The dinner salad was great, with homemade blue cheese that enhanced the flavor. They also provide fresh bread and butter while you! We will be back

Service is a bit slow- over 20 minutes for the food to come. We ordered Cioppino and Seafood pasta. Both were decent portions. The Cioppino came in a 2 quart pot and tasty but unusual with green beans, carrots, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and there a decent amount of seafood. Pasta was tasty with good amount of seafood. Noise level average. Staff friendly.

Was a nice experience to eat here, I ordered one of their specials swordfish with shrimp scampi and ordered some oysters. The oysters were very fresh and tasty, the swordfish was slightly over cooked, but had great flavors. Our server was very attentive and quick to refill our waters and check on us. The ambiance is casual. Will definitely revisit on one of my future visits

Rack of lamb with Alfredo pasta side

Came into catch after a day of wine tasting! It's a tiny spot, super intimate and tight quarters. This didn't bother us! Decent wine selection and although a small food menu it had everything you could need. I thought the rack of lamb was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sides were just ok-not extraordinary, but ok! Parking is tough downtown, but we ubered so it didn't matter to us! Our server was friendly and attentive as well!

A co-worker recommended this place and we are sure glad he did. The staff was friendly and very efficient. The food was fantastic! My seafood pasta was one of the best I've ever had, just simple good quality ingredients and excellent flavor! The relaxed vibe just added to the whole experience. We will be back for sure!

Both the salmon and combo 4 selections were excellent! And the price was reasonable considering being in the popular Cannery Row area.

This restaurant came highly recommended, and it absolutely lived up to the praise. When we arrived, the setting was lovely, and we were warmly welcomed by Michelle. She was gracious, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We especially appreciated the personalized place card waiting for us with our reservation. At first, my wife and her friend were a bit unsure as they reviewed the menu, as they didn't immediately see options that appealed to them. However, that quickly changed. Our friend ordered the asparagus salad and croquettes, while my wife chose the rosemary garlic grilled prawns and roasted heirloom carrots. Both dishes completely exceeded expectations--they were blown away by how flavorful and well-prepared everything was. Over the course of our trip, we visited many wineries and enjoyed several excellent meals throughout the Central Coast. Yet by the end of it, both my wife and her friend agreed that this dinner stood out as the most memorable--truly the highlight among many great experiences. Thank you for starting our trip on such a high note.

I had my eye on the lamb shank ahead of time, and it turned out to be perfection--easily the standout dish of the night. I've dined at many great restaurants, and they truly executed it beautifully. Everything else we ordered was just as impressive: well-balanced, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere (something I always pay attention to). Service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. It's now at the top of my Paso Robles restaurant list, and we'll definitely be back. We belong to a couple of wine clubs in the area, so this will be a regular stop for us--especially for that lamb shank. Parking was easy, it wasn't too busy during our visit, and reservations can be made online without hassle. Coming from the Bay Area and being used to dining in both SF and LA, I can confidently say Parchetto holds its own. High-quality food and a great overall experience. Kudos to the team.

Of note, we were never given an option for indoor seating when making our reservation nor when we were seated. After ordering, we received our starter (shishito peppers) within 10 minutes. However once we finished the starter we waited an additional 30-40 minutes for our entrees. There was no communication from the wait staff at all, no refills on water, nothing. In fact in the patio dining area I saw three plates of food (including our peppers) delivered to tables in the hour we had been sitting there. Interestingly the wait staff all seemed very busy and moved around the restaurant but not much appeared to get done. Having worked in hospitality previously I have a lot of empathy for the staff as they seemed to lack direction and management support. My husband ordered the mushroom and scallop pasta. It was okay. Overpriced, but was tasty. I ordered the chile relleno and steak. The chile relleno was filled with a large amount of corn that tasted freezer burnt. My steak was thin and grey and overcooked. It was nearly all grey inside with a couple spots of pink. It wasn't seasoned either. The sauces on the plate were good. Our server was polite and did take it off the menu. However, no manager ever came by to check on us or any other table on the patio in the time we were there. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. The outdoor seating is lovely -- a peaceful garden-style patio that makes the whole experience feel relaxed and charming. My only wish is that the menu had a few more options, as it's definitely on the limited side. Overall, great ambiance, exceptional salad, the service is fast, friendly; a nice little stop if you're passing through Paso Robles.
