Barramundi with vegetables and mashed potatoes
    Sara Z.

I'm giving this a 3.5. My friends and I made a last minute late reservation through the winery across the street where the owners highly recommended this place, especially the corn souffle. We ordered that to share. It is insanely rich. It is dense and cheesy, and not really what I expected. I had a few bites but it wasn't really for me. For my main, I got the barramundi special that came with cooked vegetables and mashed potatoes. The fish was not great. It was cooked fine but a little fishy, which is usually not the case with barramundi. The cooked vegetables were also just fine, nothing special. The mashed potatoes, however, were excellent. The service was also not great. My friends ordered drinks and both were forgotten until we asked the server about the drinks. I wouldn't rush to come back, or if I did, maybe I would order differently.

Had a wonderful dinner at Sanot & Sazón and left seriously impressed. The food was fantastic, every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care. Service matched the quality of the food: attentive, friendly, and unrushed, which made the whole evening feel special. Very nice ambiance. It's clear this place takes pride in what they do. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal in Paso!

First time eating here, but definitely won't be the last! The food was PHENOMENAL! All the staff were so friendly. My husband made reservations for our 9 yr wedding anniversary, they left a rose and card at the table, so beyond touching. The Patelitos & Corn Soufflé were some of the best food we've ever eaten!

My husband and I really enjoyed spending our Valentine's Day 2026 dinner at Sabor & Sazon. The restaurant was packed, as expected, but we did not have to wait when we arrived as we already had a reservation. The dining and bar area is in one large open space, so it was loud and lively. The restaurant is mostly made up of moveable tables and chairs, however one wall has banquet table seating. The hardwood floors, flat walls, and high ceiling with minimal sound absorption panels really created a loud space (not a quiet and intimate night). The service was wonderful. We were welcomed promptly by our server and the assistant waiter brought bread & butter immediately after the welcome. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband had a lovely cocktail. We started with the Grilled Calamari - a delicious medley of scallops, shrimp, and calamari. Then we mixed to the savory Rack of Lamb - lamb with a red wine sauce and served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. And then we ended the evening with the decadent Tarta de Chocolate that was accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream - a must order. During the evening, the son of Chef Jorge introduced himself and checked in on our experience - such a nice young man. I also believe another one is Chef Jorge's children was also working that evening in the restaurant. We enjoyed this lively Valentine's Day dinner. Save room for the Tarta de Chocolate.

    Delicious!!!

The service is a 10!!!!! The owner came out and spoke with us. He was very friendly. The food is beautiful and so tasty. You must come here and enjoy Paso Robles. Also the sign of a clean restaurant is the bathroom and it is very clean. The bathroom is the last to get attention so you know they are on top of their game.

We started our weekend trip here at Sabor & Sazon and it was incredible. We arrived at 7:45pm for Friday night dinner. We were greeted and seated I immediately. I'm not going to lie, because of the name and having paella on the menu, I was expecting more Spanish food on the menu and less Italian. We ordered the paella and the squid ink pasta special. The paella had so much seafood and tasted great. The grains of rice used did make the paella a bit mushier than authentic paella but that's asking a lot for Paso Robles. The squid ink pasta I wish was in their regular menu it was creamy and loaded with shrimp. The pasta had a very good bite to it. For the rest on the weekend, when we mentioned this restaurant to the locals everyone said it was their favorite restaurant in Paso!

Absolutely amazing! Our waiter, Alvany, was incredibly kind and generous. Since we were celebrating a birthday, he surprised us with an extra espresso martini tasting and an extra dessert, which made the evening even more special. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect warm, inviting, and such a great place to celebrate. This is definitely a must-visit restaurant when you're in Paso Robles. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp suggested Sabor & Sazón. And then our tasting guide at Serial, Sean, suggested it as well. And both were remarkably accurate. We had the grilled calamari as suggested as well as the shrimp pasta (I forget the actual name). They were both excellent and without peer. Service was outstanding from reservation to dinner. Mahalo nui.

Wow!! Staff and food were absolutely incredible. We were guests of a local winery and was blown away by our entire experience. I want to come back.

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night! Would recommend making a reservation because it can get pretty busy here. We made reservation at 8:15 but ended up joining waitlist for 7:30 instead and got bar seating which we highly recommend! The bartender and our waiter, Albany was amazing! He was so fun and nice. Me and my friend shared the grilled calamari and a seafood paella. They served bread with this amazing dip; not sure what it was but it was soooo good - flavorful and creamy! The grilled calamari was seriously delicious and we killed the dish. The calamari was so tender and flavored to perfection. They had generous amounts over arugula for a warm salad like dish. The complimentary bread was amazing dipped in the sauce too. The seafood paella was also so good. Slight char at bottom with the perfect texture and flavors. Super hearty and seafood forward; tasted like the ocean lol (in a good way). Albany was so nice and gave us a flan dessert on the house because my friend kept asking him what every dessert was when the kitchen brought it out haha. He was so nice and let us hit our sweet cravings despite us being so stuffed to order some ourselves lol Will definitely come again and try their pasta dishes next time. Loved the entire experience here.

    Corn Soufflé

The lobster ravioli was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked with a rich, flavorful filling that really stood out. The corn soufflé was just as amazing, light, slightly sweet, and the perfect complement to the meal. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The ambiance was so cute and cozy, especially being right in Paso Robles' downtown area. It made for such a great dining experience and a perfect spot for a nice meal out. What really made the visit even better was the customer service. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, which made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Overall, such a wonderful experience with amazing food, great service, and a charming atmosphere. I would definitely come back again!

Torte de chocolate and crème brûlée

The food was delicious, some of the best Italian food I've ever had! It was so fresh and flavorful. The pappardelle en rosa and crème brûlée were divine Our waitress Ximena was very kind and attentive, providing excellent service. The restaurant was cozy, clean, and welcoming, our experience was amazing

Ossobuco with risotto was the best I've had!

Everything we ordered was really outstanding and it's not surprising given they make their pasta in house. We found out Il Cortile is loved by the locals, so you know it's a solid choice for visitors. A must try for lovers of fresh pasta in Paso.

We arrived on time and stood at the entrance for about 7 minutes with zero acknowledgment. Servers and bussers walked right past us, no one said a word. When the hostess finally showed up, there was no apology, just a question about our reservation. She said our table was "almost ready" since the current guests had paid, but then refused to seat us at either of two open 4 tops, saying she wanted to save them for larger parties, even though at least four other 4 tops around the room already had just two people seated at them. She offered us a drink while we waited "a few minutes." Fifteen minutes later, still no table and no drinks provided, while guests with later reservations were seated ahead of us. When we asked again, her story changed: now the original table hadn't actually paid yet. By this point it had been 25 minutes past our reservation, so we finally confronted her directly and pointed out the empty 4 tops with only two people at them. Her explanation was that those parties had reservations, and I reminded her that we had a reservation too. She reluctantly seated us after that, with no apology or acknowledgement. What made it even more frustrating was watching her, later in the evening, seat other parties of two at 4 tops without any hesitation at all. There was never any acknowledgment of the wait or any reason given for why the rules seemed to apply differently to us. It's a shame, because the food and Yuki's service were excellent and deserved a five star night. But the disorganized, inconsistent hosting at the door made the first half hour of my birthday dinner stressful instead of special. Ask for Yuki if you go, just brace yourself at the door.

I had my eye on the lamb shank ahead of time, and it turned out to be perfection--easily the standout dish of the night. I've dined at many great restaurants, and they truly executed it beautifully. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere (something I always pay attention to). Service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing.
