Wow... the flavors here of everything we tried was spectacular. So glad we found this place during our stay in the area. Service was very good too. Our server was very polite and helpful.

Everything we had was AMAZING! Food was great and the service was awesome! Joe was super helpful and had great recommendations for everything! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I really enjoyed spending our Valentine's Day 2026 dinner at Sabor & Sazon. The restaurant was packed, as expected, but we did not have to wait when we arrived as we already had a reservation. The dining and bar area is in one large open space, so it was loud and lively. The restaurant is mostly made up of moveable tables and chairs, however one wall has banquet table seating. The hardwood floors, flat walls, and high ceiling with minimal sound absorption panels really created a loud space (not a quiet and intimate night). The service was wonderful. We were welcomed promptly by our server and the assistant waiter brought bread & butter immediately after the welcome. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband had a lovely cocktail. We started with the Grilled Calamari - a delicious medley of scallops, shrimp, and calamari. Then we mixed to the savory Rack of Lamb - lamb with a red wine sauce and served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. And then we ended the evening with the decadent Tarta de Chocolate that was accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream - a must order. During the evening, the son of Chef Jorge introduced himself and checked in on our experience - such a nice young man. I also believe another one is Chef Jorge's children was also working that evening in the restaurant. We enjoyed this lively Valentine's Day dinner. Save room for the Tarta de Chocolate.

Had a wonderful dinner at Sanot & Sazón and left seriously impressed. The food was fantastic, every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care. Service matched the quality of the food: attentive, friendly, and unrushed, which made the whole evening feel special. Very nice ambiance. It's clear this place takes pride in what they do. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal in Paso!

First time eating here, but definitely won't be the last! The food was PHENOMENAL! All the staff were so friendly. My husband made reservations for our 9 yr wedding anniversary, they left a rose and card at the table, so beyond touching. The Patelitos & Corn Soufflé were some of the best food we've ever eaten!

We started our weekend trip here at Sabor & Sazon and it was incredible. We arrived at 7:45pm for Friday night dinner. We were greeted and seated I immediately. I'm not going to lie, because of the name and having paella on the menu, I was expecting more Spanish food on the menu and less Italian. We ordered the paella and the squid ink pasta special. The paella had so much seafood and tasted great. The grains of rice used did make the paella a bit mushier than authentic paella but that's asking a lot for Paso Robles. The squid ink pasta I wish was in their regular menu it was creamy and loaded with shrimp. The pasta had a very good bite to it. For the rest on the weekend, when we mentioned this restaurant to the locals everyone said it was their favorite restaurant in Paso!

Yelp suggested Sabor & Sazón. And then our tasting guide at Serial, Sean, suggested it as well. And both were remarkably accurate. We had the grilled calamari as suggested as well as the shrimp pasta (I forget the actual name). They were both excellent and without peer. Service was outstanding from reservation to dinner. We visited this restaurant and enjoyed the great atmosphere, services and foods. The chilean sea bass was delicious. Make reservations. Highly recommended

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night! Would recommend making a reservation because it can get pretty busy here. We made reservation at 8:15 but ended up joining waitlist for 7:30 instead and got bar seating which we highly recommend! The bartender and our waiter, Albany was amazing! He was so fun and nice. Me and my friend shared the grilled calamari and a seafood paella. They served bread with this amazing dip; not sure what it was but it was soooo good - flavorful and creamy! The grilled calamari was seriously delicious and we killed the dish. The calamari was so tender and flavored to perfection. They had generous amounts over arugula for a warm salad like dish. The complimentary bread was amazing dipped in the sauce too. The seafood paella was also so good. Slight char at bottom with the perfect texture and flavors. Super hearty and seafood forward; tasted like the ocean lol (in a good way). Albany was so nice and gave us a flan dessert on the house because my friend kept asking him what every dessert was when the kitchen brought it out haha. He was so nice and let us hit our sweet cravings despite us being so stuffed to order some ourselves lol Will definitely come again and try their pasta dishes next time. Loved the entire experience here.

Corn Soufflé

The lobster ravioli was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked with a rich, flavorful filling that really stood out. The corn soufflé was just as amazing, light, slightly sweet, and the perfect complement to the meal. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The ambiance was so cute and cozy, especially being right in Paso Robles' downtown area. It made for such a great dining experience and a perfect spot for a nice meal out. What really made the visit even better was the customer service. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, which made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Overall, such a wonderful experience with amazing food, great service, and a charming atmosphere. I would definitely come back again!

We visited here on 02/14/2026 at 8pm for a party of two. This was our first time at this restaurant. The restaurant is casual; however, yet classy at the same time. It is on the smaller side; however, holds quite a few people. We arrived about 20 minutes earlier than our reservation and the host made sure that she was able to accommodate our request and seat us early. Our server was very friendly, and one of the owners even made an appearance and made sure everything was going smoothly. We decided to share the Grilled Calamari and the Rack of Lamb. Both were quite good. For dessert, we shared the Tarte de Chocolate, which was excellent and we thought was the highlight of the meal. Overall, a 4 to 5 out of 5 experience, and we would return again in the future.

Yummy barramundi special

Very tasty! The Barramundi special was perfection. Only downside was one of our starters never arrived, so we went without, but all the food we did receive was excellent. Will definitely be back!

We've only ever come here on a whim, and because of that we usually end up sitting at the bar, but most recently we did get a regular table on a Saturday afternoon. They do take reservations if you want to make sure you secure a spot when and where you want. Favorites are still the tacos and Aguachile, especially the short rib tacos. We've also gotten nachos, oysters, ahi crudo, and taquitos, all of which we would get again. Food comes out pretty quick, but still seems to be very fresh. So it's a great place if you want to sit down, but still get out quick to go back to the wineries.

The restaurant is right in the heart of downtown Paso Robles, making it an easy stop if you're exploring the area. We had reservations through OpenTable and arrived a little early. They seated us within a few minutes, and although outdoor seating was available, it was around 97°, so we were happy to wait for an indoor table. The inside has a really cool Spanish hacienda vibe with rustic wood beams, warm lighting, and plenty of unique décor to take in. It's a fun space with lots of character and is connected in the back to the tiki bar next door, making it easy to continue the evening with a drink. The atmosphere was lively without being overly loud, and we really enjoyed the classic '80s music playing softly in the background. The oysters were fresh and very good. My wife ordered the ceviche and enjoyed it. I had the hanger steak salad--it was decent, but I'd probably skip the beets next time and order something different. Overall, the food was good, but it didn't quite rise to the level of "great." Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, Fish Gaucho is worth a visit for its downtown location, unique Spanish-inspired atmosphere, and solid food. While there are probably stronger culinary options in Paso Robles, we'd happily come back to enjoy the ambiance, check out the connected tiki bar, and sample a few different menu items.

I ordered the Fried Chicken, which was the Wednesday special, and my wife chose the Shrimp & Grits. Both the salad and Shishito Peppers were on point. The Fried Chicken came out hot and fresh, and they definitely give you plenty. The flavor was good, but most of the seasoning was in the crust rather than the meat itself. Without the crust, the chicken didn't have quite enough seasoning for my taste. That said, the crust was crispy, flavorful, and definitely did its job. Now, the Shrimp & Grits were a HIT! Buttery deliciousness and a straight-up flavor bomb! The grits were perfectly cooked, and the shrimp were tender, buttery, and delicious. Definitely a winner. We arrived on time and stood at the entrance for about 7 minutes with zero acknowledgment. Servers and bussers walked right past us, no one said a word. When the hostess finally showed up, there was no apology, just a question about our reservation. She said our table was "almost ready" since the current guests had paid, but then refused to seat us at either of two open 4 tops, saying she wanted to save them for larger parties, even though at least four other 4 tops around the room already had just two people seated at them. She offered us a drink while we waited "a few minutes." Fifteen minutes later, still no table and no drinks provided, while guests with later reservations were seated ahead of us. When we asked again, her story changed: now the original table hadn't actually paid yet. By this point it had been 25 minutes past our reservation, so we finally confronted her directly and pointed out the empty 4 tops with only two people at them. Her explanation was that those parties had reservations, and I reminded her that we had a reservation too. She reluctantly seated us after that, with no apology or acknowledgement. What made it even more frustrating was watching her, later in the evening, seat other parties of two at 4 tops without any hesitation at all. There was never any acknowledgment of the wait or any reason given for why the rules seemed to apply differently to us. It's a shame, because the food and Yuki's service were excellent and deserved a five star night. But the disorganized, inconsistent hosting at the door made the first half hour of my birthday dinner stressful instead of special. Ask for Yuki if you go, just brace yourself at the door.
