Wow... the flavors here of everything we tried was spectacular. So glad we found this place during our stay in the area. Service was very good too. Our server was very polite and helpful.

My husband and I really enjoyed spending our Valentine's Day 2026 dinner at Sabor & Sazon. The restaurant was packed, as expected, but we did not have to wait when we arrived as we already had a reservation. The dining and bar area is in one large open space, so it was loud and lively. The restaurant is mostly made up of moveable tables and chairs, however one wall has banquet table seating. The hardwood floors, flat walls, and high ceiling with minimal sound absorption panels really created a loud space (not a quiet and intimate night). The service was wonderful. We were welcomed promptly by our server and the assistant waiter brought bread & butter immediately after the welcome. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband had a lovely cocktail. We started with the Grilled Calamari - a delicious medley of scallops, shrimp, and calamari. Then we mixed to the savory Rack of Lamb - lamb with a red wine sauce and served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. And then we ended the evening with the decadent Tarta de Chocolate that was accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream - a must order. During the evening, the son of Chef Jorge introduced himself and checked in on our experience - such a nice young man. I also believe another one is Chef Jorge's children was also working that evening in the restaurant. We enjoyed this lively Valentine's Day dinner. Save room for the Tarta de Chocolate.

Had a wonderful dinner at Sanot & Sazón and left seriously impressed. The food was fantastic, every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care. Service matched the quality of the food: attentive, friendly, and unrushed, which made the whole evening feel special. Very nice ambiance. It's clear this place takes pride in what they do. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal in Paso!

First time eating here, but definitely won't be the last! The food was PHENOMENAL! All the staff were so friendly. My husband made reservations for our 9 yr wedding anniversary, they left a rose and card at the table, so beyond touching. The Patelitos & Corn Soufflé were some of the best food we've ever eaten!

We started our weekend trip here at Sabor & Sazon and it was incredible. We arrived at 7:45pm for Friday night dinner. We were greeted and seated I immediately. I'm not going to lie, because of the name and having paella on the menu, I was expecting more Spanish food on the menu and less Italian. We ordered the paella and the squid ink pasta special. The paella had so much seafood and tasted great. The grains of rice used did make the paella a bit mushier than authentic paella but that's asking a lot for Paso Robles. The squid ink pasta I wish was in their regular menu it was creamy and loaded with shrimp. The pasta had a very good bite to it. For the rest on the weekend, when we mentioned this restaurant to the locals everyone said it was their favorite restaurant in Paso!

Yelp suggested Sabor & Sazón. And then our tasting guide at Serial, Sean, suggested it as well. And both were remarkably accurate. We had the grilled calamari as suggested as well as the shrimp pasta (I forget the actual name). They were both excellent and without peer. Service was outstanding from reservation to dinner. Mahalo nui.

We visited this restaurant and enjoyed the great atmosphere, services and foods. The chilean sea bass was delicious. Make reservations. Highly recommended

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night! Would recommend making a reservation because it can get pretty busy here. We made reservation at 8:15 but ended up joining waitlist for 7:30 instead and got bar seating which we highly recommend! The bartender and our waiter, Albany was amazing! He was so fun and nice. Me and my friend shared the grilled calamari and a seafood paella. They served bread with this amazing dip; not sure what it was but it was soooo good - flavorful and creamy! The grilled calamari was seriously delicious and we killed the dish. The calamari was so tender and flavored to perfection. They had generous amounts over arugula for a warm salad like dish. The complimentary bread was amazing dipped in the sauce too. The seafood paella was also so good. Slight char at bottom with the perfect texture and flavors. Super hearty and seafood forward; tasted like the ocean lol (in a good way). Albany was so nice and gave us a flan dessert on the house because my friend kept asking him what every dessert was when the kitchen brought it out haha. He was so nice and let us hit our sweet cravings despite us being so stuffed to order some ourselves lol Will definitely come again and try their pasta dishes next time. Loved the entire experience here.

Corn Soufflé

The lobster ravioli was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked with a rich, flavorful filling that really stood out. The corn soufflé was just as amazing, light, slightly sweet, and the perfect complement to the meal. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The ambiance was so cute and cozy, especially being right in Paso Robles' downtown area. It made for such a great dining experience and a perfect spot for a nice meal out. What really made the visit even better was the customer service. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, which made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Overall, such a wonderful experience with amazing food, great service, and a charming atmosphere. I would definitely come back again!

We visited here on 02/14/2026 at 8pm for a party of two. This was our first time at this restaurant. The restaurant is casual; however, yet classy at the same time. It is on the smaller side; however, holds quite a few people. We arrived about 20 minutes earlier than our reservation and the host made sure that she was able to accommodate our request and seat us early. Our server was very friendly, and one of the owners even made an appearance and made sure everything was going smoothly. We decided to share the Grilled Calamari and the Rack of Lamb. Both were quite good. For dessert, we shared the Tarte de Chocolate, which was excellent and we thought was the highlight of the meal. Overall, a 4 to 5 out of 5 experience, and we would return again in the future.

Yummy barramundi special

Very tasty! The Barramundi special was perfection. Only downside was one of our starters never arrived, so we went without, but all the food we did receive was excellent. Will definitely be back!

To drink, I got a passion fruit pisco sour. With the drinks and whilst waiting for out food, the waiter brought us a bowl of what resembled corn nuts. Very crunchy and and salty which was perfect with the drink. The cocktail itself was not too strong and not too sweet but with a good flavor. To eat, I got the Mixto ceviche. After a few moments waiting, everything came out. The ceviche was sooo good. This was my first time trying Peruvian ceviche and I was definitely very pleased! It had a different mixture of textures and flavors that contributed to a harmonious experience. Overall, I had a really good experience at Mistura. An Unforgettable Birthday Dinner with Breathtaking Ocean Views!…read more We came to Ventana Grill in Pismo Beach for a Sunday night dinner date to celebrate my wife's birthday. This place definitely gets packed, so I highly recommend reserving a table in advance. We were lucky enough to get a window seat, and the outdoor patio views of the ocean are simply amazing! On top of that, the staff here has definitely become even more friendly--our server, Zach, was super efficient and attentive throughout our meal. The food was incredible from start to finish: * Mahi Mahi Fish Ceviche: We started with this alongside fresh tortilla chips, and it was honestly one of the best ceviches we've ever had. * Clam Chowder Soup: This special clam chowder came served with Parmesan cheese bread, which was absolute perfection. Again, hands down one of the best soups we've tasted! * Molcajete Surtido: For our main dish, we ordered this classic feast loaded with grilled colossal shrimp, arrachera steak, chicken breast, chorizo, spring onion, jalapeño peppers, nopalitos, avocado, pork rinds, molcajete salsa, queso fresco, and corn tortillas, served with a side of rice and beans. All the meats were so tender and flavorful, and the rice and beans were really nice. We were so full that we didn't even get to touch the tortillas! To top off a wonderful evening, they brought out a complimentary ice cream with a candle to celebrate my wife's birthday, which was such a thoughtful and sweet touch. Whether you're planning a special date night or a family outing, we definitely recommend Ventana Grill!
