Della's was easily one of the highlights of our weekend in Paso! We showed up without a reservation and there was a small wait, but they found us a table within about 10 minutes. Our server was fantastic--prompt, helpful, friendly, and made us feel completely taken care of. We started with the fried artichokes, which were PHENOMENAL. Seriously, don't skip them! We also ordered the Blu pizza, which was savory, interesting, and completely unexpected in the best possible way. We paired everything with a bottle of red wine made specifically for Della's, and it was perfect with the meal. And a huge shoutout to the busser who went above and beyond! My partner accidentally left his wallet behind, and before we even realized it, he came running out to catch us and return it. He saved us a panicked trip back and we were so appreciative! Great food, great wine, and genuinely wonderful service. Della's is absolutely top tier and will be on our must-visit list whenever we're back in Paso. read more

We were in Paso Robles for the weekend and stopped by Della's. No reservation, but we went in around 5pm, so we were able to get seated right away for a party of 5. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the wood burning, smells great. The inside is small but not cramped, it's modern and cozy. They have a nice bar, it seems cute for a date night or to grab cocktails with a few friends. Pretty simple menu, they specialize in wood-fired pizzas and cocktails. We got the seasonal salad, which was solid. This rotates based on what's in season - it had nectarines, tomato, burrata - nice and clean, but the portion was pretty small. We also got the chicken cutlet, which came covered in a salad-type mixture. The salad topping was actually great, I would've eaten this as a salad by itself, but the chicken cutlet didn't have much flavor or seasoning. The sun-dried tomatoes in the topping helped add flavor, but on its own, the chicken was very thick and bland. We also got 2 pizzas, Girl Crush and Chicago Fire. These were thin crust pizzas, and while the dough and the toppings were good, there was WAY too much cheese on them. I say this as a cheese lover, but the pizzas were weighed down so heavily by the cheese that it was very difficult to pull slices apart. The ratios just seemed off. Flavor wise, we preferred the Girl Crush. The lemon fragrance is pretty strong on the Chicago Fire, so it overpowered the other flavors. This has officially become my favorite restaurant! After coming back three times, we absolutely love the relaxed atmosphere, and the service has never disappointed us. The menu is simple, with just a few options, but they have everything you need to really enjoy your meal. The chicken cutlet was definitely the highlight of the night absolutely delicious! Our server was also the bartender, and he provided excellent service throughout the evening. Every time we come back to Paso Robles, this will definitely be one of our must-visit spots. Located on 13th St is Della's. Very nice outside and inside, very modern. The vodka parm was super thin chicken and Etto pasta. The chicken was too thin and the pasta you could taste the smooth, lack of flavor, non Italy product. The vodka sauce was a lot thinner and lacking flavor of typical ones, back East. The pizza was also super thin and crust wasn't soft. The taste seemed like they didn't use 00 flour from Italy. The sauce tasted straight from the can and not developed at all. Came to Della's on Sunday as a group of 9 without a reservation and they were so nice and accommodating, we had the best dinner we could have asked for! Here's what we ordered and our thoughts: Cam's Caesar 5/5- delicious Caesar. Not too much dressing, great textures Roasted beets 3/5- those that love beets enjoyed it but wanted more beets Gunpowder wings 4/5- very well cooked with delicious banchan Focaccia 5/5- perfectly cooked and salted Fried lasagne 5/5- unique and tasty but make sure to use the marinara generously, otherwise a little bland and dry Spring pea risotto 2/5- too much cheese, too salty Girl crush 5/5- overall consensus was "delicious" KFC 5/5- unique and such great flavors! We had a 5:30 reservation on a Friday night. Parking was tough. It took maybe 15 minutes to find a walkable spot about three blocks away. Plan ahead. Upon arrival, the host outside was pleasant and checked us in right away. We were seated right by the front which worked out great. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, but completely filled up within the next 30 minutes. Our server was lovely and very prompt. The music was great and was a reasonable volume for conversation. We decided to have share a meatball appetizer and pizza. I enjoyed the sauce on the meatballs. My partner thought the meatballs were on the dry side. For $17, it was just okay. The flavors on the all choked up pizza were good. I enjoyed the crust. The pizza was a little soggy in the middle. After our pizza was brought to the table, our food runner (not server) asked if we wanted Parmesan, red pepper flakes and ranch. I was surprised to be charged for Parmesan. We had a really nice experience here on a quiet Wednesday evening. We made a last-minute res ~20 minutes prior for an early-ish dinner. On past visits, it's been too loud to enjoy good company- but the ambiance was great this time. It was significantly less busy, but I also wonder if they've worked on noise-dampening measures. Paolo helped us, and he was wonderful. Personable, funny, attentive, and just exceptional. We loved the service. Great recommendations. The Caesar salad was very good- a big, frizzy head of curly lettuce with lots of garlic-forward dressing and a finely dusted crouton. I might've liked a little more... something? Maybe lemon, not sure. I'm picky with Caesar, so it's probably me. The presentation was very fun. Like a chia pet. I'm a pasta girl and my husband is into pizza, so we parted ways here- my husband had a Girl Crush pizza, and I had the chicken vodka parm. My pasta was really excellent- solid portion, perfectly cooked chicken, and I really enjoyed the vodka sauce. Love that they're using local Etto pasta. My husband really enjoyed his pizza, although it was imbalanced- the cheese was so heavy on it that it could only be eaten with a knife and fork. Not a horrible problem as cheese-lovers and with him taking home leftovers, but I'd expect a pizza joint to have their ratios on lock. The flavors were very good, to give them credit where due. This is our 2nd time at Della's. We belong to a Supper Club and one of our members chose Della's for our dinner out. We thought it was pretty good so we came back after we went to the movies. The girl who greeted us was friendly and so nice. Adam was our server. He had a very welcoming smile, he was courteous and so accommodating. He checked on us often to make sure we were happy with our meal. At the end of the meal, he provided us some nice 'to go' boxes for what we couldn't eat. Another fantastic experience at Della's! We were early for our reservation at The Hatch, so we decided to grab a quick drink here instead. Love the vibe at Della's. They got a fun, easygoing energy! After a full day of wine tasting, it was refreshing to switch things up with something stronger. Sorry I didn't catch our bartender's name, but she was fantastic, super friendly and attentive! Funny enough, I actually bumped into her the next day at the Garagiste Festival, which made the whole experience even more special. We were greeted and seated immediately. The hostess honored my request that I made while booking my reservation to sit towards the rear of the restaurant at a high top table. There were few diners there at 5pm. Music was playing loud enough to hear but not to impede conversation. We had the wings, meatballs and the Girl Crush pizza. We've had this pizza on previous visits and it's def crush worthy. The meatballs were moist and the sauce delicious. The wings were a it different from standard wings, but also tasty, especially with the accompanying giardiniera. Our server was great. Four of us visited Della's the last week of Restaurant Month and as always it didn't disappoint! During their promotion, you could select any of their pizzas and they would convert it into a calzone...plus a salad and dessert. So we selected a Caesar salad, a Winter salad, a "Girl Crush" pizza and "Straight Up Now Tell Me" pizza and they came out hot from the wood fired pizza oven as the most perfect calzones! We also ordered wine and a couple of non-alcoholic cocktails and the salted caramel gelato for the perfect ending! Came here on a Friday night with a friend and from the moment we walked in the atmosphere felt welcoming. We decided to sit at the bar as me and my friend had tons to catch up on. We started with the fried artichokes with Meyer lemon aioli and we were very impressed! Recommend times two! Then we ended up sharing the Chicago Fire pizza and it's wild to say this but it's the best pizza I've had in a while. Never would I thought amazing pizza in paso. I'm about two hours away from here and I still can't stop thinking how delicious it tasted. I know there are other restaurants in the area but if I ever come back this place is for sure my go to. Located close to the heart of downtown Paso Robles is Della's. The staff here are fantastic! From getting seated and served this place is amazing when it comes to customer service. Our server was busy, so one of the bar tenders stepped in to get us water. Our server recommend the Spring in Amalfi. It was the perfect combination of sweet and bitter. I definitely recommend it. We ordered two pizza's, chicken vodka and tiramisu. I had the Girl Crush pizza. The topping does create a pool of liquid which makes the dough towards the center soggy. The edges of my pizza were a little burnt, which I didn't mind. The dough is okay and the taste was okay. I do think they are over priced, especially when comparing them to other wood fire pizza in the county. I tried the vodka parm and felt that it lacked a lot of flavor. The pasta was also lacking. The texture as well as the taste. The sauce was truly tasteless. It tasted like watered down puréed tomato. The tiramisu was a great size and was decent. Straight up - Excellent pizza, salad and drinks. Sat at the bar and enjoyed Paolo our bartender. We had the pepperoni and margarita pizza. Both delicious. The crust is thin and the crust ends are fluffy. A very good amount of cheese on the pizzas. My favorite Old style small pepperonis are used where the ends curl up and get crunchy. All ingredients tasted very fresh and high quality. We also had the fall salad which was delicious. The espresso martini - amazing flavor. We visited on a weeknight and we were warmly greeted by the host and server. We ordered the Girl Crush Pizza (mozzarella, tomato sauce, pepperoni, jalapeño, hot honey) and the Vodka Parm (Crispy parmesan chicken, buffalo mozz, vodka sauce, Etto pappardelle pasta). The pizza had an amazing crispy chewy crust and the toppings were amazing. There was maybe too much cheese but a little extra cheese never hurt anyone. The pasta was delicious and decadent. Giving them a break as last night was their debut of a spring menu. The risotto with Marscapone and English peas needs assistance. Way overpowering, bitter lemon and garlic chunks not fully cooked in addition to what tasted like Maldon salt chunks. Every bite tasted different and not mixed. One bite raw garlic, next bite rock salt, next bite bland cream. Pizza - house cured bacon with artichoke hearts and smoked mozzarella was good, especially the crust. We had such a great experience at Della's! First off, the service was excellent. We were seated a little earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise and set the tone for the evening. Some of us started with an Old Fashioned while others enjoyed the excellent bottle of wine we brought along. For starters, we had the Fried Artichokes with Meyer lemon aioli was absolutely delicious! They disappeared way too fast. We ordered two pizzas: Straight Up Now Tell Me - classic and satisfying with buffalo mozzarella, tomato sauce, and fresh basil. Main Squeeze - this one really stood out! Mozzarella, garlic oil, spicy fried chicken, pickled red onion, Della's ranch, and herbs. The chicken had just the right kick, and the ranch was amazing. I loved the dill in the ranch, though my mom found it a bit too strong for her taste. Still, I couldn't get enough. Can't wait to go back and try even more dishes. We all loved the Straight up now tell me, which is basically just a margarita pizza. It was so good! The Girl crush was split between the family. If you like hot honey, it's wonderful, if you don't, it just feels too sweet. I loved it, hubby gave it a 7. The only downside we can say about this place had to do with service. Our server came over, took a quick order and disappeared. He never took a drink order until we flagged him down to place one. Once our food was delivered, sadly, he was MIA for about 20 min. We wanted refills, more drinks and possibly dessert, but he was no where to be found. After 20 min of waiting we finally caught another servers attention and just requested the check. We have eaten at Della's 3 times. I have to say that the food is fantastic. We have had the same hostess each time and honestly subpar interactions. Visit 1 - Dine in We came on a recommendation from a winery. It was a Sunday and we arrived around 4:45pm, 15 minutes after they opened. The hostess asked we had reservations. No...only 1 person inside, she said she would see if they had room. Visit 2 - Take out Of course when Paso closed the road. No issues. Parked and walked in side, no hostess outside. The bartenders were very friendly. Asked me about my order. Offered water and to sit at the bar. Hostess walked by several times and dirty looks. Visit 3 -Take out Hostess outside. I said we had an order for pick up. She asked the name and said she would check out the order. Left us outside 57 degrees, cloudy with a storm coming in. Order was not on time, we had to wait and wait for it. An honestly no jacket and surprised any restaurant would have their guests outside. read more

Unfortunately I went based off the pictures for this location and thought they still served pasta. Well they don't. Only pizza. We didn't like the pizza at all, it was to many weird flavors, the service was Eehh ok I guess, not very attentive and took a while to bring us stuff we asked for. They make their own ranch which was funky and to many flies flying around. The door did have a fly cover but that didn't help one bit. It was extremely annoying how many flies were in here and we were constantly just waving our hands over the food to ensure they didn't land on it. read more

Even on a busy night, the staff went out of their way to make it work for us: we started at the bar and then shifted, so we could all be together. The couple next to us, fellow Angelenos who said Della's is their "happy place" in Paso, insisted we order it, and they were right.
