Della's was our first group meal in Paso Robles for my best friend's recent bachelorette party. Pros: They were easily able to make a reservation for our group of 10 on a Friday night. The gentleman host was extremely friendly and welcoming to our group. (He provided us the best customer experience and was even willing to take some group photos.) The food tasted decent. Cons: The food menu was disappointing and not extensive. The portion sizes were too small for the price/value. They are not willing to split checks for a larger party. Parking is quite difficult during peak times - be prepared to walk a bit. read more

We came here in a group and late not wanting to wait in long lines or for service. There were 8 of us and everywhere we were calling even with reservations were quoting at least an hour or longer. We know it was last minute and we were hungry. In any event, we came here and do not regret it. Their service was great, the portions were good and the food was tasty. The place is in a little strip mall so parking is not an issue. This is your traditional mom and pop place and the place where locals come or order to go. Great little sister restaurant of Hatch where they serve mostly Italian. I loved the unique pizzas they offer but more so the names were so creative. My girls didn't love the pizza as much because the ingredients weren't the typical on a pizza so it overloaded their senses lol. The bolognese was delicious and the calamari had a special kick to it. We've been here twice before and it was decent, filled a gap when we had multiple people in our group who all eat different things. On this latest visit we had one person who ordered a gluten-free pizza - it took forever to arrive, and when it did arrive it was burned and the consistency of cardboard. But the waitperson still served it - not ideal, and far from a satisfactory meal. We had to go around the corner to another place to get this diner something better. Very disappointing. read more

Amazing place for pizza in Paso Robles! While driving down to Cal Poky for Orientation, my dad and I stopped in Paso Robles for dinner to avoid hitting San Luis Obispo at peak dinner hour. Coincidentally, the whole town was seemingly at a concert in a nearby park, so we were the only other party in the restaurant! Ordered the Spring Fling and the calamari, Chicago Fire (I couldn't spot a Chicago Med or Police pizza on the menu), and Cubano pizzas to share. I liked the Spring Fling, which wasn't overly sweet and had a flavor reminiscent of the syrup used in an Italian cream soda. The calamari had a very light fry, meaning it didn't lessen my appetite for the pizzas. The best calamari is the thin stuff, imo. The Cubano pizza was one of the most creative pizzas I've eaten in a while. I've had my fair share of cubanos, and I've gotta say, this tasted like one; they nailed it with the spicy mustard, snappy pickles, and tender braised pork. The Chicago Fire was also good. The meatballs were spicy and it was a lil sweet. I honestly wasn't a fan of the burrata because it was so strong I couldn't make out any of the other flavors. Still a great option, though. Both the crusts on the pizzas were light and airy, and you could taste the char from the oven. They had some tasty-looking pies on the menu, but I was too full to try anything else. For next time. Great place for dinner! We went without reservations and were seated at the bar immediately. Ordered the Market Greens salad. Really tastey and refreshing. Big serving. Could easily be shared with 4 people. Had the Chicago Fire pizza. Great wood fired pizza and the crust is on point. The peppers were really spicy but it was a good combo of meatball and ricotta. Also had the Banger and I really liked the cloves. Service was great, even with a full house. Overall great experience and worth checking out. read more

This is a cute little spot. It is a little loud but a great place to sit and chat. The pizza was really good. My husband and I got two different 12 inch pizzas named Alessia and girl something. Overpriced IMO--We were in town for a few days and decided to get some pie. We got three pizzas and it was about $100. Pizza was fine nothing mind blowing--just fine--definitely not worth $100. The Neopolitan-ish pizzas are not large--probably around 12 to 14 inches. Paso comes with a certain price tag and this place is definitely of that ilk. read more

Stopped for dinner with my husband and our 3 and 1 year old boys. The first issue is that they don't have high chairs. I had to hold my one year old the entire time in my lap. Second issue was the gluten free pizza option. It was terrible. A premade crust that was flavorless and spongy with little to no sauce and toppings. It was $32, so I expected a lot more. They also charge $15 for kids buttered noodles which seemed odd because we dined at their sister restaurant the night before and it was more upscale and they charged us $10 for the kids noodles and had high chairs! The two restaurants next to it are way better options and have the same owner. Not sure how this one missed the mark so badly. read more

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome right away. But the real star here is the pizza. The crust was perfectly crisp with just the right amount of char. Exceptional appetizers and of course pizza too. The pizza crust is incredible and then the toppings that are perfectly added to not drench the pizza but allow you yo appreciate each with each bite. Waitress timing was amazingly perfect to greet, take beverage order, then when we were ready to order and placed our menu down she arrived to take our order. Had dinner here while up in Paso for a few days. Great Pizza. There for 4 adults and 3 children. We ordered 4 large pizzas to share and calamari for an appetizer. Although Cathy originally thought that it was going to be too much food, we easily ate it all. I think that we probably could have also gotten one more appitizer if you are that hungry. The pizzas were all really good. pictures of them are within, but the Girl Crush was quite good. None of them were bad though! Add a couple beers, and you have a pretty good dinner! It was a Saturday night on vacation which, of course, meant it was pizza night! And that I had stalked the menu beforehand and already knew what I wanted. But, bad news! It turns out they had just changed the menu two days prior and removed the pizza I wanted :(. The good news is though that we still did a design your own pizza with excellent choices. Not to say we are special, but one of the servers said our combo sounded delicious and that it seemingly hadn't been done before. So take note - white sauce, parm, arugula, and pickled pineapple! Crazy, right? I'm a crustie so I have to speak to the crust. I loved how chewy and bubbly it was. Nothing gets to my heart faster than a nice, chewy crust. We made a reservation, and I would do that because the place is small. And even crowded enough at 8 PM when we arrived. PSA (Parking service announcement): Saturday downtown can be busy, but it is easier to find spots in this side area of downtown than the true center. I really wanted to like this place. We went to Hatch next door which is owned by the same company and did not have a good experience back then: The food was burnt and some so salty. We tried Della's this time and it was the same. Bottom of the pizza was completely burnt and was inedible. It was not just a standard "leoparding" you typically see on Neapolitan style pizza. It was just black/charred. Our kids made a comment "Maybe they like burnt food?" Also, they did not indicate any type of allergy info on the menu so we ordered arancini that had peanuts in the sauce! Both our kids have peanut allergies. One did not ingest enough to notice but other one did have a reaction when he got home. read more

Highly reccomend stopping into this place if you are in town! We walked in on a Friday night with no reservation, so luckily there were three seats at the bar we were able to snag. They had lots of fresh and yummy specials. We got different cocktails and tried some different apps and pizzas. The pizza was wood fired , and it took a while for it to come out, but it was worth the wait! The space is very cute and has a well decorated. Came here on a Saturday night for dinner. Decided to sit at the bar because Della's is known for cocktails as well as food. The bartenders Scott and Andrew were absolutely phenomenal, (very friendly and knowledgable). The wife and I had a couple of cocktails each, all very good. The wife and I were sitting and talking to each other and I mentioned that I hadn't tried Cynar, (an Artichoke based Amaro). Andrew must have overheard me because he said, "You want to try Cynar?" He poured me a little taste and it turned out to be very good. Nice and vegetal and a bit bitter but it didn't taste like Artichoke like I thought it would. While talking to Scott about Negroni's and how I make mine with Aperol instead of Campari he extolled the virtues of Capalletti Amaro. He let us try a taste and then spritzed a little lemon over the glass and had us taste it again. It was amazing. As soon as I got back to the Bay Area I went out and bought a bottle of Capalletti. I'll be using that in my drinks instead of Aperol from now on. For food we started off with a Della's salad, (Romaine, salami, olives and croutons). The salad was very tasty. I swear the croutons were just day old pizza dough. Kinda soft, kinda crunchy but just what you want in a crouton. For entree we had the Girl Crush pizza, (Pepperoni, pickled Jalapenos and hot honey). I have to emphasize that this was probably THE BEST PIZZA I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE! This pizza was just perfection. Perfectly soft and crispy crust, with amazing spice from the Pepperoni and sweetness from the hot honey. We also got the NY steak. The steak was amazing as well. Perfecty cooked and full of flavor. Overall it was a memorable night with great food and drinks. We'll definitely be back to Della's. read more

The dining experience felt very modern with a spacious, dimly lit restaurant, and extremely prompt and friendly service. The pizza really is all that it's hyped up to be... The tomato sauce and mozzarella were magnificent in flavor and paired so well with the crust. The toppings were incredibly fresh and all of the vegetables were evenly distributed ensuring cheese and sauce with every bite. The shiitake mushroom toppings were my absolute favorite; they were overloaded with flavor. If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping in. My suggestion is to make a reservation beforehand because it can get very busy. If you want to avoid the dinner crowds, go earlier in the evening. read more

Dellas has some legit pies. First time getting to try and it was excellent. Crust has a good chew and consistency. Sauce is perfect balance of sweet and acidity. Cheese was very flavorful. I can't say enough about this pizza place!! It is not your typical pizza place it's exotic, it's trendy and it's over the top amazing. They have amazing specialized drinks with hand tossed thin crusted exotic pizzas. I had the girl crush, which is a this hand tossed crust, with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, Jalapenos, and hot honey drizzled all over it. When I saw it on the menu I was a little skeptical and was thinking it is it's something I wanted to try but I'm telling you I am so glad that I did the pizza was absolutely amazing. The drink that I had was called late for brunch and it was a pineapple infused vodka with blueberry and mint, then a sparkling wine. What a refreshing drink with amazing taste.
