If you are in the mood for unique artisan pizza this is a good spot with some interesting options. If you want anything else look elsewhere. The service is great, the ambiance is typical of a pizza bar location and the seating is close and personal to your neighbors. The photos on Yelp show pasta which is deceiving as they don't offer anything but some unique pizzas, some salads and very unique apps which doesn't appeal to everyone. read more

I really wanted to like this place. We went to Hatch next door which is owned by the same company and did not have a good experience back then: The food was burnt and some so salty. We tried Della's this time and it was the same. Bottom of the pizza was completely burnt and was inedible. It was not just a standard "leoparding" you typically see on Neapolitan style pizza. It was just black/charred. Our kids made a comment "Maybe they like burnt food?" Also, they did not indicate any type of allergy info on the menu so we ordered arancini that had peanuts in the sauce! Both our kids have peanut allergies. One did not ingest enough to notice but other one did have a reaction when he got home. read more

The dining experience felt very modern with a spacious, dimly lit restaurant, and extremely prompt and friendly service. The pizza really is all that it's hyped up to be... The tomato sauce and mozzarella were magnificent in flavor and paired so well with the crust. The toppings were incredibly fresh and all of the vegetables were evenly distributed ensuring cheese and sauce with every bite. The shiitake mushroom toppings were my absolute favorite; they were overloaded with flavor. If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping in. My suggestion is to make a reservation beforehand because it can get very busy. If you want to avoid the dinner crowds, go earlier in the evening. read more

Highly reccomend stopping into this place if you are in town! We walked in on a Friday night with no reservation, so luckily there were three seats at the bar we were able to snag. They had lots of fresh and yummy specials. We got different cocktails and tried some different apps and pizzas. The pizza was wood fired , and it took a while for it to come out, but it was worth the wait! The space is very cute and has a well decorated. Came here on a Saturday night for dinner. Decided to sit at the bar because Della's is known for cocktails as well as food. The bartenders Scott and Andrew were absolutely phenomenal, (very friendly and knowledgable). The wife and I had a couple of cocktails each, all very good. The wife and I were sitting and talking to each other and I mentioned that I hadn't tried Cynar, (an Artichoke based Amaro). Andrew must have overheard me because he said, "You want to try Cynar?" He poured me a little taste and it turned out to be very good. Nice and vegetal and a bit bitter but it didn't taste like Artichoke like I thought it would. While talking to Scott about Negroni's and how I make mine with Aperol instead of Campari he extolled the virtues of Capalletti Amaro. He let us try a taste and then spritzed a little lemon over the glass and had us taste it again. It was amazing. As soon as I got back to the Bay Area I went out and bought a bottle of Capalletti. I'll be using that in my drinks instead of Aperol from now on. For food we started off with a Della's salad, (Romaine, salami, olives and croutons). The salad was very tasty. I swear the croutons were just day old pizza dough. Kinda soft, kinda crunchy but just what you want in a crouton. For entree we had the Girl Crush pizza, (Pepperoni, pickled Jalapenos and hot honey). I have to emphasize that this was probably THE BEST PIZZA I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE! This pizza was just perfection. Perfectly soft and crispy crust, with amazing spice from the Pepperoni and sweetness from the hot honey. We also got the NY steak. The steak was amazing as well. Perfecty cooked and full of flavor. Overall it was a memorable night with great food and drinks. We'll definitely be back to Della's. read more

I can't say enough about this pizza place!! It is not your typical pizza place it's exotic, it's trendy and it's over the top amazing. They have amazing specialized drinks with hand tossed thin crusted exotic pizzas. I had the girl crush, which is a this hand tossed crust, with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, Jalapenos, and hot honey drizzled all over it. When I saw it on the menu I was a little skeptical and was thinking it is it's something I wanted to try but I'm telling you I am so glad that I did the pizza was absolutely amazing. The drink that I had was called late for brunch and it was a pineapple infused vodka with blueberry and mint, then a sparkling wine. What a refreshing drink with amazing taste. Our new favorite place for pizza in Paso, and of course it's that gourmet wood fired crust that makes it for us! Cute spot with a nice bar if you prefer a more casual dinner ---meatballs: very surprising!! Not the same texture you'd expect from an Italian meatball with an amazing seared crust, so good (served with pesto pasta and burrata) ---girl crush pizza (hot honey on the side): nice saltiness from the pepperoni, little kick from the jalapeño yummm. Got take out here on our visit to Paso. The bartender who took our order was very nice and also gave us some water while we waited. We ordered: The roasted beets: this was very good. The beets roasted well, and all ingredients went well together. The Straight Up Now Tell Me pizza: Sauce was good, needed a little more cheese on it. The crust was delish! Dellas has some legit pies. First time getting to try and it was excellent. Crust has a good chew and consistency. Sauce is perfect balance of sweet and acidity. Cheese was very flavorful. In town for a few days & hanging at The Backyard but craving some wood fired pizza. Grabbed The Girl Crush & added pickled pineapple & roasted garlic plus ordered Chicken Parm in case we were extra hungry. I also want to add that supporting small business is super important to me & I wanted to love this. Pizza was good. The Pineapple was hard & feels like they cut up the hard center of the pineapple, pickled it & then threw some chunks on the pizza. Yuck. I picked it all off. Outside of that, the pizza was yummy! $22 felt worth it for my pizza even though i paid extra for the inedible pineapple. Chicken Parm with spicy marinara for $32. Holy Smokes I'm so disappointed. The size: my major issue- kids size is a generous description! The taste: No spice in the sauce. A teeeenie tiny piece of chicken that was burned. We love the pizza here and staff but we went the other night and were excited to try the Chicken Parm. The first one was slightly raw so we waited another twenty minutes or so only to get another that felt like we were cutting into a brick of rubber or resin. It was so strange. We're locals. Last night was our second time visiting Della's and sadly, probably our last. 5 stars for the food, and 1-2 stars for the service. I made a reservation and was seated right away. It took the waitress at least 10 minutes to come over. Our drinks took 30 minutes for 1 "craft" cocktail and a can of beer. They arrived after we had finished our appetizer - the fried artichokes which I highly recommend. Another 15 minutes our waitress finally came back to get our entree order. We shared the chicken parm and the Girl Crush pizza. Both were great and we brought some home. Bottom line: It shouldn't take 30 minutes to get your drinks. It was busy but not packed. If this had been a one time occurrence, I could forgive it. But our second experience was pretty much the same as our first. Service just isn't on par. read more

What a great little place off the main Paso drag. Cool vibes and great service. The team took turns making sure we were taken care of. Wine selection by the glass is local and outstanding. The highlights were the Melon and Prosciutto salad. That thing packs a punch and the strawberry purée what a sweet little touch! Shrimp appetizer was dynamite but left me wanting for more of that whipped feta and harissa. Give me some more flavor please, but we loved the greens on top! Meatballs were just ok. This place has great ambience and solid cocktails. Unfortunately the food does not match the quality of the esthetics of the restaurant. Calamari was over cooked. The sautéed mushroom appetizer was salty and tough, and looked like something from the series The Last Of Us. We ordered five entrees. They all were served staggered at different times. I had to ask a manager(?) about the status of my pizza after the first 4 entrees were brought out. I was told another 2 mins which turned out to be more like 10. We ordered two chicken Parmesan. 6/10. Bland sauce. One bolognese (little to no beef in the sauce 5/10. Salmon not sure about the rating on that one. My friend ate the salmon but not the sides. Lastly, gluten free pizza smoke show. The crust was soggy mush. Toppings left a lot to be desired. Ranch and Parmesan for the pizza was extra charge. I would never order a pizza here again. Tip to the kitchen: try cooking the GF crust first before adding the toppings and then throw it back in the oven. 0/10. After I've had GF pizza from Bello Forno in Orcutt, the bar is set pretty high. Server tried her best. Pizza and sides were taken off the bill. Manager never followed up to see how we were doing. I was really wanting this restaurant to come through. I first visited here 3 years ago and the food was delicious. Not sure what's happened. I would stick to cocktails for this place. To sum it up - Don't come here hungry. read more

I liked the Carte Blanche pizza but our friends got the pizza with basically a Greek salad on top and that was just okay. Came in for dinner tonight and ordered 3 entrees between 3 people. There was a 20 min gap between the first and second entree.. and after waiting another 20 mins the third entree never came so we cancelled it. Ironically the final 2 entrees were the same dish. Not sure how we got one and not the other. The server offered dessert, we ordered the key lime pie. We paid full price for everything. Not even dessert was comped. The manager never came to apologize AND the price of one of the entrees was $8 over what the menu said. They were also out of a few items. Atrocious job by the kitchen and management. read more
