Let me just tell you something about this small, but definitely packs a punch tasting room. Mark., our wine aficionado. Was so gracious and kind . We enjoyed a flight and decided to have another glass of their Pinot noir .. so good , so very good ! we had to buy some bottles to take back home. We chatted with Mark, he told us of some very good restaurants to enjoy while visiting Paso Robles. Of course we took his advice and they were amazing. We were visiting Paso over the Christmas Holiday and were very pleasantly surprised when we discovered this spot open on Christmas Day. We were immediately seated by a very friendly man who said they are always open on Christmas and find it's a really busy day for them - and within the time we were there he ended up completely full. He was very friendly, the space itself quirky but cute and the wines were nice. They allow you to order food from the Thai restaurant next door and enjoy it while doing your tasting. He definitely got busy and could have used an extra hand so it took a bit to close out but we get it - a holiday and one of the only spots open in town. read more

They do offer some white wines but I personally prefer red. There are several wineries in Paso, but what felt great about this place was not only good wine, but an excellent host. Awesome wine. Great Pinot Noir. This light blend is what a real Pinot Noi shoulf taste like. They are smart outsourcing grapes outside Paso Robles. Paso Robles has to of a high climate for Pinot Noir Great knowledge of wine. You can find an awesomd Riesling for only 20.00 I given it 4 stars because there min bottle of this wine is 75.00 a bottle. Most library are 150 a bottle. You can try a tasting for these wines which is a cool concept. I just cant see myself spending that much for a bottle which is sad because the wine is awesome. read more

The wine tasting person is a huge CON ARTIST. Beware. He wanted to charge me $30.00 for a few splashes of disgusting wine, which I never even asked for. I walked in looking for a nice oaky and buttery Chardonnay. He could have been honest and said he did not have it instead of swindling me to try the wines I did not care for. I have tried reaching out to the owner about this, and there has been no response at all. Wow, what a terrible way to run a business. read more

Tudor stands out in Paso for at least two reasons: 1) the wines are sourced from the Santa Lucia Highlands, so you don't have the endless "Bordeaux/Rhone blends" that other places offer and instead get top-tier vintage Pinot, Chardonnay, and Riesling and 2) you may very well get the chance to meet the winemaker and/or their family when you sample their wines. Who else is offering an "ice wine" in the Central Coast? The 2014 vintages for the ice wine are outstanding and stand out among any other winery in the area. You can also try multiple vintages of SLH Riesling from the same vineyard in an amazing vertical that, yet again, no other winery in the area to my knowledge offers. Prefer Pinots? They've got plenty of Pinots as well, from an unusually wide variety of vintages so that you can compare more recent ones to ones further in the past. This was an outstanding tasting, one of the best we've ever had, and we really appreciated the conversation and sheer variety of offerings. Definitely worth stopping in and trying some of these unique wines from Tudor. read more

Pinot noir, caviar, Mynamar, mid-sized car [if you know this reference, you're as cool as me...does that make us cool?] Pinot noir is my go-to red and they offer more than one [wins my heart]. Honestly, by the time we got to Tudor, I was tired of being talked to by all the winepourers asking me where I'm from and mostly talking to my boyfriend. But when we got here, we were graciously greeted by Bow and she was absolutely amazing. Very helpful in selecting our wines [I didn't care for a tasting and wanted the full glass] and she had a great balance of being hospitable...but also leaving me alone. I think she could tell I was done talking to strangers. A very lowkey place with high quality wine and service. read more

On our wine-tasting trip up the coast a few weeks ago, we stopped almost exclusively at wineries that were offering comped tastings for one reason or another (wine passport, yelp checkin, hotel coupon, etc.) This was the only winery we visited in downtown Paso Robles, which from what I can see, is practically Napa-priced on average. The tasting here is $20 and only features 4 wines, and is only comped if you buy two bottles. Not normally something I would be interested in unless the wines were world-famous or something, but when I saw they made two different ice wines, I *had* to try them. I would give them 4 stars just in terms of price - the other two wines we tried (an off-dry Riesling and a zin) were good but not fantastic, so that just leaves the two ice wines, which were absolutely up there in quality with "real" ice wines (obviously Paso Robles doesn't get cold enough to make ice wine the proper way, so these are actually artificially "iced" wines, but I've ice wine made that way that tasted like it, and these tasted just like the real thing. The Riesling ice wine was great, but the Gewurztraminer was exceptional). I *would* give them 4 stars on price, but I can't - the woman pouring when we were there was just so friendly, and when I turned away for a second and my wife had bogarted most of the ice wine (we're both suckers for good dessert wines), and I commented to her that she had done that, our server just poured us an extra splash of both of them just to be nice. That plus the complimentary espresso (nothing fancy or amazing, but it wasn't junk, either - I'd call it roughly Starbucks quality; and weirdly enough, I learned, espresso pairs *really* nicely with ice wine, who knew?) is worth 5 stars (if you like ice wine, obviously - if you don't, what are you doing here?) I really wish it'd been comped with only one bottle, because I would've bought the heck out of a bottle of that Gewurztraminer for $20 - couldn't really justify buying *two* bottles of the same $40 wine, with the amount we already have at home. Still happy we checked them out, though. (One note: they do also make an eau de vie, which is also $40 for a half-bottle, and which does qualify for the "comped tasting with 2 bottle purchase", but they are unfortunately not legally allowed to let people taste it, which is really too bad for them, because I love good eau de vie, but don't love buying $40 half-bottles of things without tasting them first. I I have epilepsy and have a seizure dog that is allowed an hour restaurants and wine tasting rooms as stated by the ADA, I was rudely asked to leave the tasting room due to having a dog, and after stating she was a service animal, he stated that service animals are not allowed in his business by owner. This is a illegal and the owner must deal with this immediately, or he will be reported, please fix your business. All disabilities are allowed to have the service animals whether you can see the disability or not. read more

The wife and I had our first experience wine tasting here while we were in Paso Robles for the day and it was great. Apparently were there during the Wine Tasting Festival so there wasn't anyone there when we arrived. Mark was very outgoing and talked to us a lot about the intricacies of wine. He made some good recommendations and we actually ended up buying 3 bottles when we left. There were more people showing up by the time we left, but he was carrying conversations on with everyone and the customers started chatting with each other as well. Came in for a tasting and walked out with 5 bottles. Bo was working behind the counter and she was the sweetest! Great conversation with her. Was also able to meet Dan Tudor and he was very nice as well. We did a full red and a full white tasting flight, which included the ice wines. Both were fantastic with healthy pours. I didn't care for the Chardonnay, skip on the Pinot noir and the Riesling smelled like something close to gasoline.
