I have been to the bar section of this restaurant and service and ambience is always great! No complaints at all! Pricing is a little higher than the local spots so you can spend easily over $80 just for two people or even more if alcohol drinks are ordered. I've noticed they skip people based on looks and appearance and treat you different especially if you're not of the culture. I've been coming here for a few years and I noticed they all talk over there shoulders about customers and side talk practically infront of you then laugh and put on a "face while serving you. In uncomfortable and not professional. Food quality is there wait times are always a lie and longer but the workers are terrible minus a few good servers. But whoever greets you in the front are garage. Started with a wonderful server, Crystal. Right there and the drinks, taking the orders and refilling our beverages. The chips and two salsa were a great start. The house salsa is outstanding and the second salsa is very good I think maybe roasted poblano, but a little hotter which is great also. Just wow. Of all the times I've driven by this place and never knew it was here or noticed it. It's incognito, the front of the restaurant is the backside of a Main Street and the parking lot is always full. First time coming here was on Sunday and we already came back for more on Friday night. Experience was a little different each time. We waited 40 mins tonight but had a beer while we waited and enjoyed conversation with some nice folks outside. Night time is bustling, but the staff here still delivered stellar service. We had Hector and he was exceptional if I could request him as our waiter every time I would. I enjoy the atmosphere, it's Jumpy and fun. Day time was a little more relaxed. For food it's delicious traditional food. I can always tell if I will love Mexican food by the way the rice and the enchilada sauce tastes and here it's on point. Their homemade chips and perfectly balanced salsa are truly second to none. I've probably dined here over 100 times, and I'm sure I'll dine here another hundred. The restaurants are always clean, the atmosphere is warm, and the service is top-notch every single visit. I've introduced countless friends and family to Los Compadres over the years, and everyone says the same thing: this is one of their favorite Mexican restaurants, period. It's been 2 years since my last review, so I figured it was time to provide an update. My husband and I frequently stop in for lunch or early dinner (we're seniors, although I don't look a day over 45 ) and are excited to see the new improvements such as the fresh exterior and new patio (soon to open), as well as the kitchen and server station. Next will be the dining area and bar! I can't say enough great things about the food and service (not to mention the BEST margaritas in town)! It is such a good feeling to be recognized as 'regulars', and we know most of the staff on a first name basis. Adel has been our server on multiple occasions, and not only does he provide great service, he seems to have an intuition about his guests ensuring a personalized experience every time. The tomato sauce on my chile relleno was chunky with bell peppers and onion. It tasted exactly like a stew my dad makes with Italian sausage, not like the tomato sauce you get everywhere else on a chile relleno. Got me feeling nostalgic for my dad's meal but was the complete opposite of the flavor profile I was expecting and honestly made the whole thing unappetizing together. The taco dorado was fine but I got delivery and they packaged it nestled in with the chile relleno so it was super soggy and took off half the coating of the chile relleno. And was also thus coated with this sweet green bell pepper sauce. The rice honestly tastes like cafeteria Mexican food rice. And the beans were fine once I removed the plastic flavored cheese that was on it. Overall very disappointing and very confusing flavor experience. read more

Parking was tricky, but it was worth it! The staff was very accommodating considering I brought such a big group. The ambiance was fun and family-friendly. A little loud perhaps, but not too bad. I like that they had a big separate area for people having dinner, and another area for those who wanted more of a bar experience. The food was excellent! Los Compadres is such a vibe. I came here on a Friday night it seemed like everyone on this side of town was here celebrating their birthday. They don't take resys, but they do have a bar adjacent to the entrance so you can grab a drink while you wait. For my entree, I ordered enchiladas - shocker, I know, but the enchiladas suizas pechuga de pollo a la plancha ($22). These are grilled chicken breast enchiladas in a creamy green sauce and to be honest, I will never not order enchiladas suizas again. The creamy green sauce is fire. It's not revolutionary, however, the creaminess was unexpectedly very good. It's especially delicious when mixed with the rice and beans. Ten out of ten. What was shockingly very good was the cheese in the molcajete mixto ($36). While I did enjoy the chicken, steak, and shrimp, the real sleeper was the unadvertised pieces of hard cheese hidden in the mix. Texture wise, it reminded me of halloumi and boy was it so good wrapped in a tortilla with rice and beans. Delish. Did I mention that Los Compadres serves breakfast all day?! Tried this place on a weekend night. It was rather full. We sat at the bar and it was faster seating. I Ordered a wet burrito with half green and half red sauce so that I can try both. The sauces were good but preferred the red sauce, it was tastier and had more flavor than the red. As soon as I dug into the inside of the burrito I noticed that the carne asada was cold. After that I just wasn't inclined to finish it or keep eating. I get the place can get pretty busy but it is still unacceptable. I love the chips and salsa they give when you get seated. The drinks were tasty too we ordered chamoy micheladas and margaritas and both came with a tamarind candy. I would probably be back on a less busy night to give it another chance and would probably tell the waiter I would like my food extra hot. read more

The fish, shrimp, and octopus ceviche was generous, fresh, and delicious. The Fajitas de Res, with tender steaks, onions, and peppers, had a beautiful presentation, great flavors, and was absolutely fantastic. I have heard good things about them and I was not disappointed. I came for lunch on a weekday with one other person and we were seated right away. It was busy but there was no wait. We were given complementary chips and salsa. I liked that they had seafood options to vegetarian options. I went with the Carne Asada Chilaquiles which was recommended to me by the waitress. You get the option of choosing red or green sauce and she recommend I get their green sauce. I am not usually a fan of green sauce but it was super enjoyable and did not disappoint. I was surprised how good the carne asada meat was. It was cooked just right and seasoned perfectly. The person I came with also enjoyed their food. A plate is about $20 here which I thought was fair.
